Federative Austrian Realms - Bruck an der Mur / Most nad Morou

Up until recently, the Federative Austrian Realms didn't have a federal capital at all. The country is divided into three states of which each ones has its own capital. But following an increased involvement in international relations and policies, the Federal Government decided that there should be a Federal Capital where embassies from other countries could be established and the federal institutions would be residing. This prompted a big political discussion, because the states didn't want to make one of each others' capital federal capital.

Bruck an der Mur / Most nad Morou was chosen in the end because of its central location. It's not a very big city and has roughly 100.000 inhabitants. And yes, it has two names: The first one being german and the second one czech. It's a quite old city and was mentioned the first time in an official document as early as 860 a.D. Nowadays, it's mainly known for its amusement park that contains a quarter of the city area. So it may not be the center of the country's life, but rather a political administration center. But you can travel to all the big cities of the Federative Austrian Realms by train from there.
