The Pan-Celtic Alliance

Dia dhuit, Halò, and welcome to the Pan-Celtic Alliance!

Our mission is to protect and share the cultural beauty of our Celtic nations through trade, defense and cooperation. We support all forms of government, but your nation must be a Celtic nation, or one that stems from a Celtic cultural background for full membership. Meetings are conducted in the form of Summits, which will be hosted by one of the Pan-Celtic Alliance member nations.

The Pan-Celtic Alliance has a mutual defense doctrine, and a declaration of war on one member is a declaration on all members in the entire alliance. If a member declares war on someone else, the member can, call in alliance support, however it will be up to the discretion of the members whether or not they will get involved in an offensive war, and in what capacity. Currently there is no response force, and it is up to the member nations to supply their own military equipment. As we are a defensive alliance we strive for peace first, respecting and supporting a diplomatic solution.

The Pan-Celtic Alliance is open to all forms of economic systems, and encourages trade and treaties between our members.

Rules

1. Human nations only. No anthropomorphic people, no fantasy beings (elves, dwarves, etc.), no immortals.

2. Modern tech or very early PMT. No FT will be accepted.

3. No trolling, or griefing. OOC hate will not be tolerated. Starting an OOC war will result in immediate expulsion.

4. Keep IC in the IC threads, and keep OOC in the OOC threads.

5. Don't start wars without valid reasons. Yes, we may help you, but declaring war for the sake of it will mean that you will receive less aid, or no aid at all.

6. If you're going to make an IC post, please use proper grammar and punctuation. OOC, it's not a problem, as long as we can understand what you're saying, and if English isn't your first language, we'll be understanding.

7. All decisions are final, but if you ask us for an appeal, we can see if a compromise can be made.

Okay, since activity has died down a bit, I'm openly taking suggestions from members about where we can take this infant alliance. Along with this, I'm going to start looking at creating a proper governing structure, so that I can make use of the enthusiasm I have of those of you who have already joined.

I'm looking at two options, and think that either one could work:

1. Presidential - Secretary option: an elected President/Prime Minister with either appointed or elected Secretaries/Ministers to oversee unique aspects of military, economy, foreign affairs, etc. (I would maintain a spot as Secretary General to oversee the updating of the alliance)

2. Elected Council: Council of 5 elected leaders who oversee the governance.
