Pretty sure bonza = good. Apparently, it's also bonzer and it means excellent/first rate.

At least it's the sort of word you'll find in dictionaries. Unlike, say, churr (this is a New Zealandism that even its users tend to be iffy on the exact meaning of... I've decided it's basically yeah).

If you mean South Africa in general, it can't hurt that Afrikaans is largely intelligible to Dutch speakers (I've heard it's easier for a Dutch speaker to understand Afrikaans than the other way round but, honestly, I don't know).

It's always "kind of" possible. My grandmother, for instance, managed to acquire an Irish passport, presumably through similar means given that she was born in NZ and at least one (or both) her parents were as well. Interestingly, of the seven children she had with my grandfather only my mother was born in NZ (which she was not pleased with when they came back here because the NZers on the boat they took had to do some cultural performance or some such... at this stage my mother would've had a Scottish accent, according to her at least).
