What is CYOE?

Well, it means Creating Your Own Everything, and it is a concept begun by Fashiontopia on this site, way back in 2010. Since then we've come a long way: we've had trials, we've had tribulations, and we've even had bans. But that should all be behind us now. Should be, anyways.

What do we do?

It's simple. We ~~steal the declaration of independence~~ design our nation's military, civilians, or anything really. The vast majority of us use pixel-art, in a scale known as 'JGscale', after the website where it was created and is still used: JuniorGeneral.org. Others use something referred to as 'Ba'al Scale' after the NS user (System Lord Ba'al) who created it. There are other scales we do and do not use, but really we don't mind. What you need is a desire to make designs, art or images of your nation and to improve on them. We don't care if you're a genius who makes scales: we will offer you comments on how to make that bayonet look a tiny bit cooler, or to make the uniform that bit more realistic. If you think you don't know where to get started? Well... ask and help shall be provided.

In all seriousness;

Accept criticism graciously. Even if they say 'Jesus this is shit never come here again, faggot' then tip your hat to them and do not decide to insult them back. If it is constructive (i.e. it does not merely point out flaws, but recommends ways to improve), then don't even think about getting angry, bud'.
ALWAYS give credit. I don't care how long you've been here, or how new you are. If it's WiP then it's not necessary, but if you've finished the design then make sure people know who's work you've used. If Fash's templates are used then credit him, if a tank from JG has been recoloured, then credit the person who made that.
Be constructive in your criticism.
Don't be an arrogant cunt.

Templates

What are the 'templates'? Well, they are things we've made to get you started here. Most were made by Fashiontopia, credit to him for this, or were from JuniorGeneral itself. Others were by Ba'al, or by other users. I will try to credit them correctly, but please inform me if you made them and I will correct it.

A Template is one of two things: 'Build your own' which is rather like a barbie doll, in that there are parts you can place on a template to make new uniforms etc. Or a Template, which is like a pencil drawing crying out for drawing on.

I think this is my latest pixel art thing, a WWII-era Sevvanian tank. I've been building a lot of tanks in Minecraft lately, as well, so I'm gonna try and get some screenshots to upload in the near future.

Main Armament: Turret-mounted dispenser, semi-automatic
Secondary Armament: Hull-mounted dispenser, semi-automatic
Engine: Triple furnace
Fuel Capacity: 192 coal blocks

A specialized breakthrough tank designed in the 1930s, the realworld Char B1 was originally conceived as a self-propelled gun, and later fitted with a turret for engaging enemy armor. Although it was one of the most heavily armed and armored tanks of the era, its low speed and fuel-guzzling engine were ill-suited to the high-mobility conflict it was fielded in. In Minecraft, the Char B1 is solid, spacious design that could be considered a midpoint between the M3 Lee and Rhomboid tank.

If it makes you feel better, my nation's infantry is prohibited to expose skin.

Even the see-through visors on their mandatory doom troop gas masks are a controversial choice.

You know, I've gone huge lengths to make my soldiers look somewhat sane and practical - see through visors were a part of these changes. Granted, they're still pretty far on the side of tacticool.

Though, I've kept the previous appearance because it kind of grew on me like a fungal infection. They're now the uniform for my nation's not!Gestapo.
