The graphics made RuneScape look like real life, the campaign made Call of Duty seem like a real simulation, the animation made old school Pokemon lifelike, the dialogue made a paperback book seem like an audio tape.

My vote is probably Francos. Even after so many years his (wrong) ideas are still being debated today. Hell google will even instantly fill some searches related to his essay.
[violet] never was a player, only an admin. Uni is probably one of the more famous recent NSers, but there's 8 years or so of people would have never heard of him. Can't be the most famous of all time. Frak may be the most controversial...? Maybe? He's a footnote in the annals of history. Halc while a cool guy, gets credit for founding both TBH/TBR despite the fact that he ditched TBH and poached members from it. He's also one guy out of many raiders. Uni is lucky in the fact that in modern history, there are few defenders who have risen to his infamy. Thafoo is a nobody I've never heard of and Farn is Farn, I don't know too much about him to be honest and won't judge. Oh! And Blaat! He's an awesome guy and a great friend, he might have reached a high fame level if he didn't prefer being the quiet impartial guy who only revealed his true political leanings over pms.
