Science. Progress. Technology. All come in many forms, many paths, many ways to transcend the modern world and take us to enlightenment. Yet there are those who would hold us back from improvement, from advancement, from progress. They impose limits on those who would help them, install codes of morality to hinder growth and divide us with political bickering.
For those nations who would seek to improve science and progress, there is a place open. The Alliance of Unrestricted Scientific Nations is now born, a haven for those persecuted by the technophobic states that surround the world. Alone, a nation might be brought down. Together, we can triumph.
Join me, brothers and sisters of the syringe. Do not be held back by what is impossible, or unlikely. With Science, one can do anything.
Brains in jars. Ray guns. Mecha. Flying cars. Genetically engineered children. No matter whether steam, atomic, or fusion, all are welcome to join.
The Alliance of Unrestricted Scientific Nations is an attempt to gather a group of nations willing to stretch reality and possibility in the name of Science. Whether the nation resembles a Babbage wet dream, Orwellian technological nightmare, pulp comic future, or Gattaca state, we welcome those who like SCIENCE, humor, and a willingness to roleplay with others. There is a simple set of rules to follow, and....well, that's it. No fancy Constitution for now. Just a group of people who like to be...well, zany with their nations and technology.
Rules:
1. All members of the alliance must join the Realm of Unrestricted Science.
2. New players are welcome, and even preferred. Larger nations are also welcome, but if they are already in steady alliances it would not be advisable.
3. Nations are expected to at least be able to play basic rping, ie. no outrageous godmodding. It's perfectly fine to have a laser beam that disintegrates a man's body, just don't expect to go "pew-pew" and win a fight automatically.
5. As always, read the stickies when confused.
6. And last, but not least, HAVE FUN. This alliance was in part inspired by the many, many nations who refuse to play with nations that don't use real technology, or who use SCIENCE! Though they are not wrong, this is a way to let nations who don't do so find other people to rp with.
