VLvG Season 1

The Voetbal Lig van Garifunya (Football League of Garifunya) is the association of Garifunyan professional football. There are currently two professional divisions (Eerste Divisyon and G Lig.1), which each consist of 10 teams and play a 36-game (four legs against all other teams) schedule. There is no playoff system, but there is a countrywide football tournament in which amateur and semiprofessional clubs can compete, even against professional clubs. There is also a third division of primarily semiprofessional teams (12 members) that plays a 22-game (two legs against all other teams) schedule. One team each year is promoted or relegated. If there is a tie (points-wise) between two teams, then a two-legged playoff using the away goals rule is held to determine who is promoted or relegated.

Teams in the VLvG usually have ultras, as Garifunyans are both demonstrative and crazy about football. It is the country's most popular sport, as 68% of people surveyed named it as their favorite sport and 91% saying they pay at least some attention to it daily.

Teams may carry up to 25 players on their roster and there is no salary cap. Because it is Garifunya's most popular sport, revenue is highest in this sport, and players' salaries are generally higher. The average yearly salary for a player in the Eerste Divisyon is Gf 100,000 (USD 28,000), with the top 10 earners averaging Gf 500,000 (USD 140,000), this in a country where GDP per capita is USD 2,563.

In the Eerste Divisyon, things really came down to the wire for the championship. With three days left in the season, Eendracht Garifunya sat at 65 points, just two ahead of rivals FC Frederykvil. Zeerovers were just two further points back and SV Oranje lurked at 58 in fourth place. When Oranje and Frederykvil drew, and Zeerovers were held to just one point against VVV Mytelbeerg, it looked like Eendracht just about had it in the bag. But a surprise loss to SV Oranje let Frederykvil back into the hunt. On the final matchday, the two best teams in the league would play each other. A win or a draw would clinch a win for Eendracht outright, but they lost at home 4-3 on an 89th minute goal, tying the two clubs atop the standings. They had split their head to head meetings, so the league declared Eendracht Garifunya to be the victors based on total wins (20 to Frederykvil's 19). There was an immediate uproar, as a number of other tiebreakers (H2H goal differential, overall goal differential) would have given Frederykvil the championship, and many suspected "Baas" Gillaat of tampering with the league's deliberations. Nevertheless, Eendracht gets the nation's coveted first spot in the Champions' Cup, while Frederykvil will have to content themselves with the Globe Cup along with Zeerovers and SV Oranje. Downtrodden Mytelbeerg will try to regain their place in the Eerste Divisyon next year.

It was another exciting finish in the G Lig. 1 this year. Puerto CF, the club founded by Hispanic immigrants that has rocketed to the top of the G Lig.1, led with 59 points with three days to go. Sint Frederyk and VK Caribyen trailed at 55 points and Sporting Phoenix was just one point further behind at 54. Puerto CF downed Onze Daam 4-0, while Sint Frederyk dropped an embarrassing game to Racing, and Sporting Phoenix edged Caribyen 1-0. Phoenix continued their late charge by beating Chevalyé 3-1, while Sint Frederyk took down Puerto 2-1 and Caribyen narrowly defeated cellar-dwellers Vrijport Athletik. On the last day, Puerto led with 62, Phoenix followed with 60, and Sint Frederyk and Caribyen were eliminated from title contention with 58. Puerto drew a mid-tier Libeté 1948 side, while Phoenix downed hapless Racing 2-0 to pull dead even. Both Phoenix and Puerto had identical records, and the H2H results were equal (1-2-1). So they went to a promotion playoff. Even this was no surprise, as they split the games. Phoenix took the first 2-0 at home, while Puerto returned the favor with a relentless attack on the return leg. Puerto managed 3 goals total to Phoenix's 2, and so they will play in the Eerste Divisyon next year.

Drakonikan Football Association - 2015 League Results

Introduction:
The Drakonikan Football Association (known locally as the Drknikn Ftbl Ascitn) is the governing body of football in New Drakonika of the Drakonikan professional football system, the Drknikn Fa Cp and Drakonikan National Team. Its membership stands at 64 teams across 4 divisions, known as the Professional Leagues.

Drakonikan football features mostly dracons, the native species of New Drakonika, known for their athletic ability and short careers (and indeed lives),

The leagues have no restrictions on squad size and composition, and seeing as most of the teams have started from virtually nothing, the FA has offered high prize money for the best teams, with 64 million being offered to the Pmr Lg winner, and going down in steps of 1 million through all leagues to the last place finisher, who receives 1 million. 64 million has also been offered to the FA Cup winner, with 32 million going to the runner up and the prize money halving for every round and being given to the losing teams, going down to 1 for the first round. The substitution rules are 3 from 7 and there is no financial limit.

The solitary Champion's Cup spot will go to the Champion of the Pmr Lg, along with the Atlantian Oceanian Champions League spot, while two Globe Cup spots shall be given to the second and third teams in the Pmr Lg, while the third Globe Cup spot goes to the FA Cup winner, unless they have already qualified, in which case the spot goes to the runner-up, or if they also qualified, fourth in the Pmr Lg. The cup winner also qualifies for the Cygnus Cup. Meanwhile, the last place finisher qualifies for the Kylx Kup.

Teams were chosen by a random ballot of 80 cities, and named with 12 suffixes. Drknika, the capital and largest city, recieved 2 teams, while Jsnfd, a large city around 100 kilometers south of Drknika received a whopping 5 teams! This was due to the pure randomness of the team generator, and shall not be rectified, oot even in the case of a league expansion, which will also be random. This has inevitably led to some cities not having representation in the Pro Leagues, but they at least have the Amateur league to focus on, which unfortunately has no promotion or relegation to the Pro Leagues for the foreseeable future.

DrknikArna is the premier football venue in New Drakonika. Home to all two Drknika teams as well as all National Teams, it may look like your generic massive football stadium from the pitch, but inside the buildings are state of the art facilities like top-class food and drink, from the cheap and fattening to the opulence of 5-star restaurants. The Drknika MtroRl (Drakonika MetroRail) links DrknikArna to the rest of the city, and if an emergency happens, the stadium's strong architecture and advanced warning system will get people out and safe ASAP. The pitch is unusually resistant to damage, it's a wonderpitch. It's composition has been attempted elsewhere, but the results have never been as good. It really is a freak of nature. And lastly, it is a tourists paradise, as it hosts the Drknkn Ntnl Msm ov Sprt (Drakonikan National Museum of Sport).

Globe Cup: Jsnfd Stdm, Jsnfd (capacity 53,500)

Jsnfd Stdm was created by the same team that built DrknkArna for the five Jsnfd teams, it is quite visually similar, but smaller as a result of Jsnfd being smaller than Drknika. The wonderpitch of DrknkArna was attempted to be replicated, only for it to partially succeed, it doesn't rip up as much as a regular stadium, but it's not as effective as the Arena. The facilities lack the opulence of 5-star restaurants, but it still has many good food outlets, mostly appealing to the middle-class, as Jsnfd is a less wealthy place than opulent Drknika.

Gregoryisgodistan Cup:

In an effort to decrease costs and increase interest, the Gregoryisgodistan Soccer Federation disbanded the local teams altogether and decided to focus on the teams in the GSL. There are unconfirmed rumors that this is because they are planning to add a second division in the future with true promotion and relegation, but this was unconfirmed. For now though, only teams in the GSL will compete in the Cup because those are the only club teams that exist.

There are no byes in this edition - all teams enter in the same round and there are four rounds. The winner will qualify for the Campeonato Esportiva de Campeones. Should League Champion FC 17 June win the Cup, a playoff will be held between the Cup and League runners-up to determine who gets that spot, unless League runner-up Coastal Soccer Club is also Cup runner-up, in which case they automatically advance.

Champions Cup: Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium, Capital District (capacity 175,617)

The newly rebuilt Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium will be bidding to host the Champions Cup. It was newly rebuilt following a terrorist attack by Wolfopians and is the biggest stadium in Gregoryisgodistan. Although smaller than the original, the fans are packed in tighter making for a raucous atmosphere. For Gregoryisgodistan national team home games, there is always a sell-out since fans are forced to attend and executed if they don't. That will not be in place for the Champions Cup.

Globe Cup: Slavery Field, District 23 (Capacity 300)

Slavery Field is a field in District 23. The field is located inside a slave district where slaves work on manual labor. Not all slaves are based in slave districts, since some work directly for masters, but these slaves in the slave districts farm food items for Government VIP's who can eat whatever they want, to be shipped off to their homes, as well as making other items for government VIP's such as clothing. The slave districts are also used for people sentenced to slave labor for crimes. This was decided that Slavery Field would bid after Slaves R Us attempted to sponsor the Globe Cup last cycle. Now it is bidding again. If this bid is selected, slaves from District 23 will attend to both teams' every need during their stay.

Series B Champions Cup and Youth Cup: 617 Stadium, District 7, Ward 10 (Capacity 35,000, expandable to 45,000)

617 Stadium is the home stadium of FC 17 June, the most dominant team in the Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League. It is the second-largest stadium in Gregoryisgodistan after Lord Almighty Gregory National Stadium. It normally seats 35,000, but is expandable to 45,000 by adding temporary bleachers on the open concourse at one of the ends. (The other end is already closed.) If 617 Stadium is selected to host the Globe Cup final, the temporary seats will be added for that game only. For FC 17 June's home games in the Champions Cup, there will be no temporary seats added regardless of whether the stadium wins the bid.

Season 20,060

Well well, look what we have here, the season following a mighty treble and Raynor City United comes up with absolutely nothing in the domestic scene, falling to second fiddle in both the league and the Silver Cup. The giants will have to look to the international ties if they hope to salvage any silverware this season, luckily with their win in the Cup Winners Cup last year, they have two and not just one chance at a title. While some would argue that fixture congestion and fatigue are going to be a problem and perhaps already were with United unable to secure a trophy for the first time in recent memory, the lack thereof of a trophy is sure to make whatever dead legs they may have feel like they are younglings once more.

Let us for a moment talk about our winners, it is the little engine that continues to prove that it can in Ibini FC. Once discarded as just a fancy toy and expirement by the VFA to try and get Vyintanese football going in the island, it has blossomed into a true powerhouse in the club scene. Its success in both the domestic and international scene have seen the talent level rise in Vyinta, with the other towns clubs playing in the top levels and even occasionally finding their way into the ICCs. Now able to attract star players like Fresco, I doubt we will ever see Ibini be anything other than a major force here in the club scene.

Though there were a pair of revivals as it were, with FC Capri and Soldarian both nabbing a spot into the Globe Cup and putting a punctuation mark on the gap this season between the top five and everyone else. While last season showed that their could be parity throughout the league, this season showed that when the big clubs are playing up to their potential, the gap in talent, resources, and wins will be huge. That should not discourage the other clubs in the nation though, as the revivals of these two clubs, with Soldarian even going so far as to besting United in the Silver Cup Final, goes to show that any give season can be the changing point in fortune. And hats off to Gladerial United, who despite severe money shortages, has managed to somewhat reclaim their place in the upper tier of elven football and not found themselves in the yo-yo of relegation and promotion once more. Perhaps in the not too distant future they may be in for titles once again.

The Gregoryisgodistan Soccer Federation announced today that a Second Division will be founded in the Gregoryisgodistan Soccer League. For now, the Division will consist of 16 new, privately owned teams run by government VIPs. The seasons will normally run concurrently to the First Division, and will be followed by the Cup, but this year they cannot since it is too late. The Top 4 teams will qualify for the Series B Champions Cup and the top two. The bottom two teams in the First Division will be relegated. Accordingly, AC Pervert Chasers and Military FC are relegated to Division 2 for Season 6. Although the GSL has already submitted its list of qualifiers, the list will be amended (OOC: And the post edited) to reflect the Series B qualifiers. Here are the 16 new teams:

Surprise on a ball is this year, mixed results as always, with the best emerging and some falling down from the top. Jelle FC didn't win this time to make it 4 in a row. Instead, Levadia Narkiv stormed everyone, including Jelle FC to take the crown from their hands, as a revenge from last season's Championship play-offs loss. Kortu Dunamo returns to the top 3 as well as Juunu FC taking as spot, this time not using druggers to go in top. Kurin FC came up to the Meistriliiga to remain and they hardly did with 2 points difference from second to last placed team Nuku FC, which did median perormance on Series B Champions Cup and failed.

List of notes and guidelines:

The fourteenth edition of the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones welcomes thirty-four teams from seventeen different federations, a minor fall in comparison with the previous edition.
Only one former victor partakes, being Kingsgrove.
Only associations who explicitly stated their intent to enter the CEdC were accepted.
Only one final site bid was submitted, by the Slavery Field in District 23, located in Gregoryisgodistan. Originally, the limited capacity disqualified said location, but a firm visit by men in black tuxedos and suitcases with 'Slaves R Us' imprinted inspired the board to accept said location as final side.
Considering the number of participants, a preliminary stage was added to the habitual format of a home-and-away elimination tournament with thirty-two participants. The four lowest ranked nations teams will partake in said stage.

The Rules

The LUCC is played in three phases:

Phase 1 - Regional Leagues (Ligas Regionais)

Phase 2 - Copa Julio I

The champions and runners-up of the Ligas Regionais qualify for the playoffs of the Copa.

The roud of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals are played in home and away matches.

- Away goals rule applies
- There are no extra-time or penalty shoot outs. The team with the best results in the respective Liga Regional will pass to the next stage in case of tie in the two matches with no away goal difference.

The final is played in one single match in neutral field.

Seeding:

The qualified teams are seeded according to their results in the Ligas Regionais, with Liga winners seeded 1 to 8 and runners-up seeded 9 to 16.

After a few seasons of sitting pat in the international transfer window, a few Pasargans dipped their hands into the market and for Tanrisal, saw dividends. Forever being the bridesmaid to CAP, Tani, as the locals call them, finally decided to do something about it and acquired a pair of cultured centerbacks to sure up their defense. That edge was enough as they reduced their average goals against to one a game and snuck past CAP into the championship, ending a reign at the top for the west coast club, and bringing Stein-los its first title in many years. You can be sure though that CAP was not about to take that slight lightly, and in an all Paulinthal affair, they took home the Luna to ensure their continued streak of winning silverware.

Duke of the North saw a slide back into the midtable, though Stilinkeep and Sardin slid further and had to fight for their SuperLiga lives. Duke may be building up the sort of base to battle with the big boys for multiple seasons at a time if they can continue these decent results. How it is the capital that has to feel that they are the ones in the ascendency, with Baskita and Galatica finishing in the Globe Cup spots, while Hellenic bounced back from their disappointing last season and snuck into fifth and that last GC spot thanks to CAP's victory in the Luna. Turkish continues to languish in a new mediocrity and if they do not make some moves soon, they can find that the midtable is where they will be expected to finish rather than challenge for those valuable UICA spots.

Champions Cup 58 : Stade de Torgos (90,000), Torgos - The crown jewel of Pasargan footballing stadium, it is both the national stadium and the stadium of the club side Galatica. It was built to be a monument to the prowess that the Pasargan people can achieve whenever they put their minds to it and show the rest of the footballing community that they belong. Located in the heart of the capital, it is easy to reach from anywhere within the city and the noise created inside the stadium has been known to shake surrounding buildings whenever the Wanderers are playing.

Globe Cup 55: Kilmonarch (72,000) Stein-los - Stein-los welcomes any and all travelers to its borders with open arms. Long since believed to be the footballing capital of the nation, usurping the title from both Torgos and Targas, the chance to host the World Cup has the Stein-losians ecstatic. Kilmonarch, the best of which Stein-los has to offer, is a stadium built just a short twenty or so years before with all the latest amenities meant to attract UICA final bids that never really formulated until now.

Series B Champions Cup 55 : Telathron (72,000) Targas - One of two stadiums in Pasarga that has retractable roofs, Telathron is located in the former footballing capital of the nation. Telathron was built as a supposed rival to Stade de Torgos to compete as the national stadium, but the arena feel to the stadium made it lose out. Despite that, it is still a modern stadium that offers the capability to keep the temperatures during the games at a comfortable seventy-five degrees whenever the roof is closed.

Hello and welcome to the new Western Borderlands league pyramid, down below are the results of the every league in the pyramid of the Western Borderlands Football System. Of course, you probably want to see the season summary of the WBFL first.

This WBFL season did not have much of a surprise to it. The club who was expected to win the league again aka. Northbrook did just that although the squad itself has a new look.The Northbrook sqaud did have something to prove though, that they can win without their star player Erik Tijadik, who was sold to Molsbik Kadet (SEM) for only 6 million dollars. Plus, Northbrook has eight foreign players on the starting XI which wasn't very popular with the public already. Eretium AC has become a constant UICA qualifier albeit it does not constantly place 2nd but the team has been on a steady track since signing Martijn Bershandesky (TFI) who has been a great goalkeeper for the club. Murontia and Porenians were on the opposite tracks before their seasons started. Porenians had placed 2nd last season and were seemingly on the uptake while Murontia sold arguably, their best player Jurrich Law. However for Murontia Hussain Mohammed (PAT) the person who replaced Jurrich did a fine job playing his role and helped Murontia capture a 3rd UICA berth in 4 years. Porenians on the other hand slipped a little bit losing important fixtures against Tarentia 1854 and Leention, but they came back from such losses to capture 4th place and their second UICA berth in a row. Notable mid-table teams include Tarentia 1854 and Hollow Cliffs. Tarentia 1854 because of their massive improvement and over-achieving from their horrid seasons of the past and Hollow Cliffs due to their massive slip-up mainly due to a lack of cohesion which Hollow Cliffs' manager Anjo Gioe said "Will improve dramastically next season". Then there are the potentially/definetly relegated teams, Migsborg allowed the second most goals out of all of the teams in the league second only to Emerald River. Heigellion have been in decline since their first appearance at an international competition (IFSC) in which they failed to make it out of the group stage.

GWFA Season 6

Super League
A close season, but not as close as Season 5, Marlowes City FC won their 2nd title, with a matchday to go. They beat Watford FC, who were content with 2nd. Bovingdon FC were 3rd again, proving their credentials. Hemel Hempstead FC recovered from a poor run of form mid season to finish 4th. Near the bottom, St Albans City FC were lucky to avoid relegation altogether, and were only saved by a late burst of form. Abbots Langley FC were relegated, along with Croxley FC and Apsley FC, with the latter's relegation very predictable.

Challenge League
After the disappointment of relegation, Casio Club dominated the Challenge League, earning immediate promotion. Anyone of the Top 6 looked like taking 2nd, and it was Rickmansworth Rovers FC who took it. In the playoffs, Harlequin Islanders came through to earn promotion after 4 seasons in the Challenge League. Disaapointment struck small clubs Harpenden FC and Bury Lake Mariners FC, who were relegated along with Hatfield FC.

National League
To the disappointment of many neutrals, the 3 newly relegated sides, Batchwood Rovers FC, Cassiobury Rangers FC and Boreham Wood Town FC, won promotion, and Radlett Rangers FC , Wheathampstead Wanderers and Slepashyde FC were relegated, demonstrating the gulf between the GWFA League and the Alliance.

Alliance League
The Alliance contained with 2 levels, 6 divisions and 96 teams. Sarratt FC won back promotion to the League, and South Hemel United FC and Gade FC won the right to play in the League for the first time.

To whom it may concern,

Hello. My name is Shao'Xatsihr Ahr'xhaan. I represent the football leagues of Xzyxrouw (Rhaofsk'xaggaxa g'Xati) and hope to submit the relevant teams from the leagues for entry to their respective competitions.

Actually, I should probably clarify something. I'm not a true native of Xzyxrouw and strictly speaking, I'm more commonly known as Roy Tadapapis. Well, I was. It's a long story ... The gist of which is that I went travelling; trekking through untamed jungles of Esportiva and got split up from my group. As it happens, after several weeks (I think) of brutal survival I stumbled across what appeared to be some sort of small tribal mud huts. I didn't really consider the consequences of making contact with what could of been a lost ancient tribe of cannibals as after having to drink my own piss and eat foul-tasting beetles for that long, I'd have welcomed death to be frank. Anywho, these huts did belong to an undiscovered tribe; a race of sentient felines known as the Xatz, or the Xati.
It also became swiftly apparent that they were far from uncivilised. Aloof, lazy and stubborn, yes but they had an empire with a religious system, social structure and even sports (which I will get onto soon, I promise). To this day, I still believe they are far more advanced than they let on.

Despite their self-imposed isolation from the rest of the multiverse, I did find a Xat who spoke my language; Mao'Yqharsyhr Momo'mhagry. She's also begun teaching me Vocative Xat (VX), which is one of the methods of communication here. Most Xati conversation occurs in an incredibly subtle sign/body language and only about 10% of the overall population speak VX. A lot of Xatz also possess telepathic abilities and olfactory communication abilities. In some circles, speaking or vocalising are frowned upon as being unnecessary and annoying. Their term for humans is 'Ooghuz'mehmemeh' which literally translates as 'Apes which chatter incessently'.

But I'm digressing ...

Xaggaxa is the Xati word for what we would know as football or soccer. Well, there is a discrepancy as the Xati claim they invented the game thousands of millenia ago (They do like to exaggerate a lot too). Regardless of who invented what, the rules are exactly the same. The only notable difference is that the Xati goalkeepers are seldom in their areas though I hear this trait occurs in many other footballing cultures too around the Multiverse.

The league itself is divided into two halves; kyug'Hror and kyug'Yqhar (Hror and Yqhar being two prevalent deities of Xati mysticism). Each league has eight teams. Well, they do now since I claimed a territory and formed a squad: Mhexeq g'Ooghuz'mehmemeh XK - 'Little village of the apes which chatter incessently' XK (Xaggaxa Kran - 'football club' basically ...) The league's a double round-robin, home and away, four points for a win and one for a draw.

Now I hope the attached paperwork is sufficient for entry to the UICA tournaments. It took me ages to find the league standings and I've tried my best to give a comprehensive results list. If not, let me know and I'll see if I can find those other sheets of paper.

Amidst one of the first seasons in a while without an actual Sunrisian football league played, a group of businessmen decided to use this chance to bring a special tournament that could fill in the void that the league left. The Tournament, quickly named Miller Cup, would be the result of taking eight elite youth-level teams from two established leagues and two not so much under a group and knockout round tournament to define which of these thirty-two sides has the most talented squad.
