You have to make an entire one-shot revolve around a plot item. That plot item is a shoe-lace. The mundane-ness of the shoe-lace must be inversely proportional to the attitude of the rest of the story.

Torii', I'd be interested in putting on a play with the teens. Heck, we could even do a play-version of Terminator using Calle as the terminator, considering she's 16.

Write a serious one-shot which explores a crack pairing.
Also, for most destructive: Nick could do a lot of damage with his claws, more if he applied solid waste, poison, etc first. He could also drive someone mad under the right circumstances. Rmwtyliin might be able to manipulate others into causing, or convince others to cause, destruction. Kwa'a could reveal information which would FUBAR her reality, but within Bielefeld''s... I'll have to think about that.

Come to the light side.  We have teamwork, waffles, popcorn, grape juice, and way too much ramen.

Unless one is a genealogist, therapist, geneticist, or FBI agent - who is acting within the scope of their job - to claim that anyone is wrong about their own identity is not merely absurd but also extremely rude.

Challenge accepted.

ANOTHER REALLY LAME ONE-SHOT,
BY SWITH

Naomi fished around the pot, her tongue protruding from a corner of her mouth as her mind fully focused on the challenge at hand. She'd done everything by the book. Everything! There was water. The flames were on medium. She'd added salt. Yet, despite the boiling brew inside the Teflon pan, she just couldn't get things to work. The contents hadn't softened at all. Flummoxed, she added more water and turned to the one source of inspiration she hadn't thought to use.

Cooking for Gods was just a tiny cookbook, and Naomi wasn't entirely certain if it meant cooking for gods or if it was a book to help gods cook. It had some excellent recipes in there, including one for making a man with blonde hair and a tan, but there were some basics as well. She thumbed through the index and began the arduous process of preparing her family's dinner.

The first few spells didn't work at all. Naomi had to fetch a new pan to transfer everything into after the last pan turned into a fire-breathing chicken. Frustrated, she turned to the last page in the book, rolled up her sleeves, and stepped back from the stove.

Her fingertips stroked the air, teasing themselves into otherworldly plains as she descended into her core. The molecules crackled in protest of Chaos' power but she paid them no heed. The purple-hued energy radiating from her body transformed into a heady mist that quickly coalesced into a radiant wave that circled her body and swept the pictures from the walls and the dishes from the drain board, consuming them with abandon. She summoned the substance of the void, demanding it bend to her godly will as she manipulated it into hellfire flames that would vanquish heaven if unleashed upon it. Naomi seemed to grow in size, or else the kitchen shrank in abject terror from her wrath.

Naomi, drunk with power and with eyes wickedly ablaze, channeled this otherworldly energy. She had, at that moment, the potency to force stars systems into being and to collapse the known universe, but she wisely choose to focus it on just one thing: the priggish food in the pot that refused to cook.

"NOW YOU SHALL BE AS I DESIRE! COOK!" her voice commanded the food in a tone previously unknown to even the most well-versed gods.

VROOOOSH!

The blast had blown a hole clean through the dimension, exposing a mutual wall where Bran, happily entrenched in a steaming bath, could be seen holding what was left of his rubber ducky. The lobby's ceiling came into view through another hole. Sadly, the reception desk was melted into the light fixtures there. Some poor cultist's boots jutted out from the desk remnant, reminiscent of the bad fate that befell witches when they weren't paying attention to falling houses. People found themselves embroiled in plaster, broken furniture, and soot. Naomi stood panting, each ragged breath a testament to the excessive force she'd inflicted upon the pot which, ironically, was the only thing still standing in place. The stove itself was a twisted husk of metal.

Eva poked her head over the kitchen counter, her eyes transfixed on her mother. She lifted a paper aloft in her tiny hands. On it were basic words hastily scrawled with a blood-red crayon:

It's a shoelace mama, not spaghetti.

Not that it mattered at this point.
