MASS EFFECT FACTIONS

Image

Welcome to the IC of the Mass Effect: Factions Redux. We are pleased to welcome you into our story. It is full of maniacal scientists, bloodthirsty warlords, and the beacons of civilization that bring hope to the galaxy. But mostly the first two. Now lean forward and squint as you read the epic thriller that is, MASS EFFECT: FACTIONS Redux.

Rule 1: Go to the OOC
Rule 2: Read the Rules of the OOC as they pertain to the IC
Rule 3: Confused, so am I.

Now get to it! You all have a limited time to build up for.. well something. No one knows what ICly just yet, but Shepard will know.. if Cerberus succeeds in building him/her again. We never decided on that did we... If she (I always preferred Femshep) does show back up, she will fall under OP control to prevent Cerberus from using her to change galactic politics etc etc... BEGIN!

Apex Industries||Zirnitra||External Facilities

Rocky Clinton sat slumped in his black curved chair in a other wise cream colored room with the exception of a few black colored furniture and metallic devices,a young Asari secretary sitting at her desk not to far away. He had his chair facing away from the door so he cold look out the wall of glass that was behind him witch unveiled the icy desert of Zirnitra. Mr.Clinton held a cigar to his mouth in witch he took greedy gulps of smoke and air. He let his arm slowly lay on the arm of the chair before puffing out small white smokey rings from his mouth before coughing.

The CEO then turned his chair back towards his desk as his data pad dinged with reports from the survey teams from underground mining operations. "It seems this ice sickle still has much to offer"he commented as he swiped though the charts."Feila, how's the factory report"he asked his Asari Sec while his eyes stayed glued to the pad.

"Excellent Mr.Clinton! The raw materials from the mines seem to be quite rich for our machines to mold."she said with a casual but friendly tone to her boss.

"I see....well Feila I need you to send some messages to the committee and that will be all for today"Mr.Clinton stated as swiped at the data-pad again.

"Yes Sir."she said and began to send the messages as instructed.

Now with the days events coming yet to another close on this barren waste land. Rocky used his omi-tool to close the blast shields to cover the windows. He then turned on a hologram tv witch projected on the newly created wall."Time to see what's happening in the glorious world of politics"he said and began streaming the news networks.

Following Dead Signals
Capek,
House Fennec Capital

The desert of Capek was as barren as it always was and the underground was just as busy the markets and stalls from free planets and criminals of the Terminus that have been selling their wares in varying prices but everything was the same when it came to what House Fennec had always been for the past two years. It has been quite a rising for the House and the Denfather has been at his wit's end at times but he knew that dealing with both sides of the law has giving him the workings that allowed him to work the market planetary and allowed him to get the money he needs to make his fleet and army. While small and insignificant it still has it's uses and one of them was something that the Denfather needed to have.

Giovanni had got on his messenger to his two specialists to only hear noises that he knows all to well and he said through their own messenger," I hope I am not interrupting to much Mr. and Mr. Pilas but once you are done with your romance then can you please meet men in the lounge room of the Lofty Munity. Thank you" Though he had heard some grunting, they knew that they had a paycheck and are willing to do what they need for House Fennec, besides they are the special forces of the House so they have some importance to do so.

Lofty Munity,
House Fennec Destroyer,
Lounge Room

The Lounge Room was part of the main conference area that was part of every House naval craft. It was true that they try to get comfortable affordability so they could at least have the workings of their ships interior. The Destroyer was able to hold a crew of 50 and was full of defenses like shielding and a point-defense system for against fighters, interceptors, and bombers. It was comfortable and affordable for their faction's size. Giovanni sat in the head seat was waiting with his cold, white, milky eyes that came with his blindness but his wetware was something that could allow him to see with some assistance. In front of him sat two men, one was more machine than Human but would not be called a cyborg. He had some of his body renewed by cybernetics, even his eyes were enhanced by wetware. He carried a heavy pistol and also a medieval longsword that it's blade were had teeth and were able to vibrate in a frequency that could withstand a monocoluar blade. It was something that Augustine Pilas actually wanted to have for he was going to claim a medieval title like Inquisitor or at least old fashion, then a blade of a similar fashion can be forged and he always loved to learn about swords and old fashion things of history.

The other that sat on the opposite direction and on the left side of the main seat was a man who seemed to be less wetware and more human, it seemed to have more scars of many things like plasma burns, closed bullet holes, and even bite and slash marks around his neck. He had known more about the workings of electronics and have also known about Biotics a great deal. Jazek Smitherson( or just Smith) Pilas was the husband of Augustine and known as the best sniper and headhunter of the House's special forces when it comes to killing Biotic Cultists that seem to be to dangerous to be kept alive though most of the time he has to play assassin where their is internal unrest is going on. Like a coup or something similar.

They had been together for two years and they both don't really show it in public or even let anyone know outside of their leader Giovanni. He didn't mind either for he has better things to do than to try and separate them. Besides, the things that they do to keep Uzbek in power he could care less truly but he had to get down to business and why he called him in the first place.

He started by clearing his throat as he was drinking some coffee and spoke," Mr. and Mr. Pilas, thank you for coming and you are probably wandering what I called you for even though you were doing what couples were doing, once again my apologies. Even still, I have a question for the both of you. Do you know how me and the other founding members of House Fennec found the H-K facility?" Augustine answered that since he was in the House longer then Jazek and spoke," you guys got lucky basically when you were down on your chips and almost your lives to some pirate gang." Giovanni nodded," yes, that is the basic story, but how we got our weaponry and armor was that it was similar to the Alliance and even some N7 training we were able to salvage, but among the most important things were able to find was a trading and shipping manifest from our headquarters to a place in the Eagle Nebula to where the last freighter of note, the MSV Corsica, was last spotted. Now, it has been sometime since I or any of House Fennec's forces have been into the Traverse but I am curious and I want to get out of the damn desert of Capek, why I brought you two because I wish to have some back up for when I am going to see to this personally for it involves what the House had done prior to it's completion and most of it's founding members will be coming aboard very soon and I will also debrief them on the mission. I just hope that it is worth it since the information is nearly two years old."

With the debriefing said and done, he greeted all of the original crew of the Fox Roamers and had told them that it was time to start chasing dead signals of the original manifests that came from the MSV Corsica and see what they could find. It was strange since it has been two years since they took upon themselves as a salvaging job to finish what they had started when they found the House's headquarters but they aimed to finish it swiftly so they can get back to Capek and the House. They were ready to go for their four-day trip and started to make their way to the Mass Relay in their system and they had started their FTL jump to the Eagle Nebula.

Sigurd's Cradle, Mil System, Chalkhos, administrative district

On Chalkhos in the morning you won't hear any birds, just the sound of the air conditioner keeping you cool in this hot hellhole. Garden world was said on the recruitment displays on Omega and various other Terminus markets, but Chalkhis wasn't that hospitable. The heat could kill and the humidity could rust a Geth to death but it was profitable... perhaps. You would need to work to live here or the debt might enslave you. Or the druvs being produced. All were sold on Omega, of course with body guards. T'loak allowed it with some off the top but it was profitable. However Vean never thought this enough and production kept, whether military or infrastructure.

The Geth Consensus

Image

We Are Legion

Rannoch, Tikkun System, Perseus Veil

Tikkun shone brightly in the sky of Rannoch, an intense blazing heat that would have caused many organics to dive into the ocean for a nice refreshing dip or to return to their homes in need of shade, liquid beverages and lotion to protect their skin from the sun. These were some of the faults of organics, their susceptible damage to the elements that forged the world around them. Unit-031 raised his farming equipment high into the air before striking it down onto the patch of soil that once was farmland. Around him many of his Geth brethren tilled the soil. Others, off in the distance, in the cities of splendour where activity was once a buzz, swept the streets and repaired damaged structures and maintained all they could possibly maintain. As they had been doing for the better part of 300 Years. Since that time the Geth had managed to reclaim many of what-had-once been Quarian Worlds and returned them to their rightful position as "hospitable" planets. Facilities had been constructed one them, but none really came to par with what was the Industrial Hub of Rannoch.

Within Rannoch's Historical Capital, many Geth had been given a most... unusual task. Prior to the Mass Exodus following the Morning War, the Geth had unintentionally destroyed vast Archives of Quarian History - mainly used for Ancestral Worship. Deep within the Old Parliament building, an ominous blue light emitted from one of the lower rooms, lighting the portion of the corridor the light touched through open doors.

"We can't hurt them!" stated a feminine voice. It was followed by a loud whack and then a thump as an unconscious body hit the floor.

"Let that be an example to the rest of you!" responded a heavily accented male voice, the sound of electricity followed next as more voices were heard in the background. After a few minutes, the same male voice broke the silence again.

"These Apologists have been dealt with. Proceed with phase two, deactivation."

The same blue light shone brightly against a Geth Unit, its "eye" twisting and turning as it focused and took in information from the records it was watching. It had seen so many of these and with each one more information was added to the old Archives. Before long it had finished this projection as well, proceeding to replace it with another.

"I will not... let you take... him. He cares for me more than most of my family does." An elderly male voice spoke from the projection.

"They have no gender, sir." several authoritative voices responded.

"And you have no hearts or moralities. They are defenc-" the elderly fellow was cut off, the sound of batons impacting against bones taking his place. However, that too was replaced by the sound of gunfire.

"Aggression against Creator Gerrha detected."

The rest of the projection ended abruptly and the Geth Unit proceeded to carry out his duty, his never changing lack of emotions seemingly ignoring the events that had just occurred "in front" of him.

Citadel, Serpent Nebula

Aboard the Citadel, Turian Councilor Sparatus was in his office in the Turian Embassy in the Presidium, talking with Primarch Fedorian, who was on Palaven. Sparatus had recently heard of Fedorian's plan to begin building up the Turian Military far above its present strength, which he was skeptical of. Sitting at his desk and with the door of his office closed and locked, Sparatus was using his omnitool to communicate with Fedorian.

"What exactly is the purpose of this military buildup?" Sparatus would ask. "We are already one of the strongest militaries in the galaxies."

"We are still not strong enough," Fedorian replied on the other line. "Our weakness was revealed when Saren and his Geth cronies attempted to attack the Citadel. We were caught off guard, and I plan on never letting a situation like this happen again."

"You may have a point there." Sparatus then got out of his chair and began to pace the floor. "Hopefully this new Spectre we are recruiting won't go rogue."

"Indeed. The loss of both Saren and Kryik, that Spectre who was killed on Eden Prime, has been devastating to both our military and our reputation. As for the Geth though.....those damned androids must be stopped once and for all. I'm planning to send the navy into the Terminus Systems and wipe them out."

Sparatus stopped right in his tracks. "What?!" he exclaimed. "You want to go into the Terminus Systems? You know the Council will never approve of that!"

"As the humans say,.....I don't give a damn what the Council thinks," Fedorian stated bluntly. "It must be done. The Geth are too large of a threat, as witnessed when they attacked the Citadel. But anyway, I cannot talk any longer, as I must oversee the expansion of our armed forces."

Sparatus then shut off his omnitool and sat back down at his desk. "What a damn fool....he's going to get us all killed," Sparatus would say as he shook his head.

Following Dead Signals,
Jarrahe Station,
Strabo System, Eagle Nebula

It was a four day jump to get there since they had to cross a long distance in the Relay Network from the Titan Nebula to the where the shipment of infected mechs came from the MSV Corsica and probably they can find the ship because they doubt it would be still around after having what the former H-K facility had when the House took it. Giovanni was sitting in the Lounge Room with his financial advisors to see how they can distribute the money for their faction and to grow Capek.

"So, your advising that we should start making raiding parties and even start dipping into the slave trade in order to start expanding the coffers?" Giovanni said as he was questioning the reason of turning his corvettes into a raiding fleet so he can conduct piracy in order to start their expansion in the general black market and power in the Terminus.

" Well Mr.Uzbek , enacting piracy could be profitable and can start flexing are might so we can start making more of an influx of resources that we need, such as element zero, to our holds.Besides, most of the captains of the corvettes are former pirates with formal training so they should be better then not." Giovanni was going to speak against it but the Custodian VI had came on the intercom system and announced that they were near the source of the signal and the coordinates with a unsure tone as the pilot wanted the Denfather to see it.

He gave a sigh and said," I will allow the piracy and we will talk about the slavery later for now I have to get back at my adventure. Also about the economy, just distribute it to mostly infrastructure while I am away, we need it for the navy next month." With that he starts to walk and see the cockpit and saw what he couldn't believe. It was a space station that the pilot said that they didn't have any info on it and it was made out of the old Salarain exploration maps but even they did not know where this was. Giovanni had saw that the manifest had the station called Jarrahe Station.

Then he said," this here is a black-ops, maybe even a secret research station that may have the infected VI that was there in the headquarters that have before we had taken it over. If that is the case, we may can take it over as well and if we can then we can use the tech inside their to work for them." The Denfather went with a strike team of his old buddies and his two specialists as they docked with the station but the VI locked it behind them with one of the members of the strike team saying" yep, just like old times" implying that this actually happened when they stumbled upon the current House headquarters and one said," yeah, but last had pirates, this time we have just dead bodies."

They had started to make their way around and saw nothing but blood-stained walls and things that had showed the letters and comm network that had showed it belongs to N7 and it seemed that they were doing research on armor and some looked like direct-energy weapons. Among the things that mostly had to fight was the VI itself. With the specialists and training of the Denfather's old buddies, they were able to destroy the infected mechs but they did not truly want to destroy the VI as it was trying to box them in one room or another till they finally made it to the VI core.

Now this where Giovanni came in. He was the one that made the Custodian VI that runs the headquarters after merging the old one and the one of the ship while they had to rebuild the headquarters. They wanted to do the same thing as they wanted to exploit the cripple VI and take over the station. It was something that they had to first disable the VI by hacking into it and they had made a copy of the Custodian VI that they used for the facility but updated it for the use of this station. While the procedure was very difficult and took hours to do so, they have made it happen and have finally been able to silence the signal. With that they had came back and drank to their new research station but Giovanni was thinking on the new ideas that would come to their House but he was thinking on using the station as the new headquarters for him. When they had come to talk to him he said," I don't how we can keep it for long without the Alliance knowing but if we do keep it for all about a few seconds then it maybe a great place to call a secondary base if things in the Terminus don't go so good. Especially when it is a research station with what seems to be other weapons and armor for the Alliance military."

Urdnot Korx boarded a Turian shuttle heading for the citadel. Korx used the Communications terminal send a message to the Turian Ambassador in the Citadel.

Back at the war council Wreav turned to Urdnot Kosh who had the Responsibility of managing the Industry and materials on Tuchanka. The Migrant Fleet
Current Location: The Phoenix Massing

----Admiralty Board Meeting, aboard Liveship Kerrun----

"We come to this predicament again, Admirals." The voice of a rather feminine and accented Quarian rang out with an inflection rolling off of her last word. These words were owned by Shala'Raan, Admiral of the Patrol Fleet of this not so humble Flotilla that Quarians resided on. The other Admirals followed behind her into this oval room, with a few crates around the sides of it, accompanied by lovely draperies from wall to wall to ceiling of beautiful Khelish design. Such a state reflected not just the room, not just the ship Kerrun, but the whole Flotilla; cramped with what was needed, but still beautiful in many right. The Quarians retained their culture, and many Quarian women and men still created this beautiful weaves as their ancestors had from the finest alien materials, or silk, velvet, cloth. It did not matter in material; it was only the heart and soul of it that did.

"You mean predicaments, Raan." Admiral Zav'Lorin chimed in, sitting down at a long table that was the centerpiece of the so-called council room of his ship.

"Spare us your speech about the Flotilla's many problems, Zav. We've all heard it before." Admiral Daro'Xen feigned a sigh with exasperation. She sat at the silvery table in the rather cramped room as well, with the other three Admirals who were not already seated.

"I only say it so much because it remains true, Xen. The Flotilla has done nothing for ages except float about and glean the galaxy's fuel and resources. I would stop saying the same things over and over, if we did something about our problems!" Lorin said with irritation, shooting an invisible glare at Xen. She really could be too high and mighty for her own good at times; but she was an Admiral. And a good one at that; Special Projects is more effective than ever, to be honest. But it only does things on the inside of itself; it needs to branch out, use its pent up resources for something bigger.

"I agree with Lorin." The calm, reserved, and tactful Admiral Val'Rias said, captain of the war dreadnought Venerim and Admiral of the Heavy Fleet. Despite being much more than familiar with military life and affairs, he was an incredibly diplomatic individual. "When I look back on the Flotilla in the past several years; all I see is focusing on self survival and nothing beyond that. We need to become involved in the galaxy once more; we were once proud and elegant. I....We should want to return to that status." Rias stated with a tone of emotion, yet he seemed calm when he said it. A bit of speech technique he....perfected over the years.

"Forming not just alliances, but friendships with some of the others in the galaxy is a good starting point for this." Lorin stated, with Rias, Raan, and Rael'Zorah nodding with agreement. Xen still seemed to still exhibit a troubled vibe with this, however. It just seemed she was....uneasy, maybe.

"I suggest the Turians, perhaps? They are militant, they can protect us, if nothing else." Raan said, before Rias interrupted.

"No no, too militant. We do not need a grand amount of protection now; the Marines are strong and our warships are numerous. They could be good allies, yes, but we do not need them patrolling the Flotilla's every move." The Heavy Fleet Admiral stated, still keeping his fingers folded over one another as he looked to Lorin at his right.

"The Rachni, perhaps?" Admiral Raan stated with slight reservations; the insect-like creatures were a tad bit....unpredictable, but as of late, they had shown peace. And they were very similar to the Quarians indeed; scorned by other and left to their fates. It was possible, yes, but it would need more investigating.

"Perhaps indeed, but we would need more data before we can commit to them." Admiral Zorah stated. The proposition was unique, but it would definitely need more development.

"What about slightly lesser factions? Merchant networks, independent governments, pirates even?" Admiral Zorah stated, before being promptly cut off by Rias.

"Pirates? What....kind of pirates, exactly?" Val said, a bit of unlike-his-usual-self concern in his voice. The statement definitely stuck a personal chord with him, one he had thought of for a while.

"Well.....what kind do you think, Val?" Zorah responded, a bit of an odd and questioning tone in his voice.

"Never....never mind, Rael. Apologies." Admiral Rias replied, shaking his head and clearing his mind back up slightly. It was a personal....thought for him. One a bit uncomfortable for him to think about in particular.

Disregarding that, Admiral Lorin suggested another proposal.

"What about the Geth?"

The Elcor Courts - Dekunna/Silean Nebula

----The Elders Assembly, at the Summer Capital's Courthouse----

Afternoon at Dekuuna’s Summer Capital was warm and pleasant. And though sparsely furnished relying mostly on a minimalist charm, the same could be said about the Courthouse. This grand white building sat on a hilltop overlooking the Summer Capital and it was here that great decisions were made throughout Elcor history. Soft light filtered down through its great glass dome, past small groups of tourists ascending the observer ramp, right into the Hall of Assembly. Inside the hall the atmosphere was tense as another historic decision was being made. To the human tourists, the crowd seemed deathly quiet. And yet the unspoken cacophony from the attendees could almost deafen any Elcor. All the seats were filled by the most important elders on Dekuuna. They had been conferring for nearly 3 Galactic Standard months now, debating the events at the Citadel. At the lectern, a short, hunched figure in simple black and grey robes was trying to read a speech from his omnitool. Elder Makani, High Elder of the Elcor Courts and soon to be Dekuuna’s most powerful man, was making every effort to revert attention back to him.

"Brothers and sisters" he tried again "this is exactly what I am afraid of. For months now we sat here at the Assembly, debating and arguing over ourselves while the rest of the Galaxy moves onward."

"Cease this foolishness at once Makani." a voice from the middle rows cut him off "You would turn our back to our culture, our history and our very nature in fear of something that might as well not exist?"

That was Elder Palyno, the High Elder observed, he was a noted conservative even by Elcor standards. He was the exact opposite of Makani, who was a devoted reformer even before being elected High Elder. Makani made neither sound nor movement but the slight curve around his nose projected his exasperation to the rest of the Courts.

“You cannot pretend what transpired at the Citadel did not change all of us Palyno. Our people can longer afford to remain stagnant.” Makani abandoned all subtlety and exhumed an intense aura that signifies his anger. "If another disaster strikes, it will be the Elcor people that suffers the consequences of inaction."

Palyno opened his mouth when instantly, another elder spoke up "Makani is right. I lost many friends that day and I'm sure many in this room could say the same. We have exhausted metaphors and abstracts in the last few months, I will now let their bodies speak for themselves."

"Then withdraw from Council Space altogether? We are self-sufficient so departing from the Galatic scene will hardly hurt us" Palyno argued "We could returns to our old ways."

Makani closed his eyes and sighed. The many years he spent as ambassador on the Citadel had made him used to the alien values and lifestyles. He was glad to return to Dekuuna but at the same time the Elcor natural leaning towards skepticism and backpedaling was tiring. It was the humans that saved everyone on the Citadel. Elcors had mocked them because that species their complete opposite. The humans lived fast and valued action. It was their brashness that saved the Council when even Asari could not. The High Elder would learn from them, to move the Elcor forward.

"Our colonies would disagree with you Palyno. Furthermore, do you really think the threat would ignore us if we all cowered on Dekuuna?" Makani questioned "I would rather we be ready when it happened. The Elcor people would face our enemy and decide our own fate. And now it is late, our vote must happen now."

Their attention now back at him, The High Elder began his speech:

“Elders of Dekuuna, on this day we mark a transition. For generations, the Elcor have lived a deliberate and conservative life unique to our society and our nature while The Courts of Elder have stood as guides, leading our people with the ages-old wisdom. Yet in light of recent events, it must have occurs to you all that our old ways is insufficient for life in this world of turmoil.

The Elcor has become unchanging in a changing world. The same careful deliberation that should have made us vigilant, made us stagnant. The same peaceful independence that should have protected us isolated us. The old ways that made us who we are in times past, have now made us both unprepared to face disasters ourselves and unable to rely on others for help. By bringing the Elcor society under the leadership of one individual, you have ensured a future without the bureaucracy that has plagued us so. Under my command, Elcor values will not be protected through inaction but closely safeguarded strong allies and a stronger military.

This change will not be an easy task. It will challenge everything that we are and everything that we have done but it is a test. Only by doing this can we emerge better and stronger than we were. Only by doing this can we secure a safe galaxy for future generations. I have faith in you and in our people to do what is right. Under my leadership we will prevail!”

"All in favor of High Elder Makani please says aye” the house speaker announced.

The Assembly exploded in an audible approval that even the humans could not help but hear.

Sparatus received the message from Urdnot Korx, who was apparently the new Krogan diplomat. Sparatus immediately decided to contact Primarch Fedorian on his omni-tool, as he knew the Primarch would want to see this.

"Yes, what is it?" the Primarch asked as he answered the call.

"I just received a message from the Krogan, and I am sending it too you now," Sparatus replied. "I figured you would want to see this."

Fedorian then read the message after he received it. "The Krogan want a meeting with us?"

"Yes. They did not say what the meeting was about, but it is definitely something important."

The Primarch thought for a minute, and then spoke. "Once they arrive, call me again so that I can be apart of this meeting. I have an idea..."

"What is this idea?"

"You'll find out. Just make sure to call me."

"Very well then. I will see you when they get here." Sparatus then terminated the call.

Nedius, Freemen Territory

The crew of the Marcus Aurelius, a heavy cruiser, was stuck in hell. They was engaged in a duel with a Collector ship. The Marcus Aurelius had lost her port thruster and her main shields were screwed eight ways to Sunday. Despite this trouble the Captain, Trinity, was steady in face and voice.

"Concentrate fire on the Collector's port engine, there is a shield fluctuation at that location!" She said, indicating the point on her display. Within seconds of her command a solid slug of metal streaked towards the Collector Ship ahead of them. The slug impacted in a brilliant display of sparks. Trinity cursed when she saw that the shields still held. She watched with tears in her eyes as a beam of golden fire lanced towards her. "Not again!" she screamed. The fiery explosion enveloped her and she was left in dark silence.

The simulation ended with thundering applause. Trinity stood from the fetal position that she had adopted. She quickly brushed herself off and saluted to her audience. High Marshall Robert Cauthon addressed her with a beaming smile.

"Trinity, that was the most amazing performance in space combat that I have ever seen." He said, the excitement and congratulation clear in his voice.

"But sir," She replied quizzically, "I didn't win."

"You can't win. We designed it to be an unwinnable scenario. It was a recreation of our first contact with the Collectors and you did far better than we did. You noticed things we couldn't have, you made decisions in the blink of an eye." The High Marshall finished his explanation and turned to the crowd of Marshalls and emphatically pronounced. "We have our first combat ready Artificial Intelligence!"

As you will probably know the Krogans of Tuchanka have united under the banner of Urdnot Wreav and we are currently in a state of total Rebuilding to get Tuchanka back to pre war Status. Anyways as you will know my people are not allowed to Construct or own any kind of Military spaceships we want that changed, we Also want the Council Demilitarization Enforcement Mission to be Disbanded and the Battlestations over Tuchanka to be handed over to our Forces. this is what we want what do you want in Exchange for supporting our Proposal?

Chasing Dead Signals,
Amun system, Eagle Nebula,
Planet Neith

While they had been trying to stay out of sight in the system, they knew that they had to go to the Amun system in order to find the MSV Corsica, retrieve any and all cargo, and to silence the transmission so that can cover any of their tracks, especially since they had decided to take a black-ops station for themselves and try to build their own weaponry and have a secret presence in this part of the galaxy. The Amun system is known for the Anhur Rebellions that took place between the years 2176-2178. A Batarian Consortium was defeated by absolutists and the Eclipse mercenaries that were hired by them and had set up a headquarters in case of business coming there way. However, the system's only major planet is going through a economic recession because the reconstruction costs are to much for one planet to burden itself with. This is seen as a window of opportunity for the House as they can hold the purse strings of the planet and could even hire the Eclipse to look after the planet if they couldn't.

Now the top three largest mercenary outfits had always seen the House on colorful terms but never fully liking them or hating them, which is pretty normal considering that they established themselves in the lawless regions of the galaxy and cannot fully trusting someone or even having high quality weaponry en masse is something that can get in the way of trading markets for both sides, which is also House Fennec's specialty. Also, the Amun system had two planets that were rich in element zero and general metals that allow them to make major credit and a lot of supply for ships and arms to sell and build. The general idea is that the Alliance has most of the Traverse under their thumb so that pirates and the sort cannot generally come in, though they do slip by once and a while. The same can be said about House Fennec for ad they are not wanted criminals to the point of all out march if the get into the Traverse like pirates do. The secrets that they know about the Alliance can make them be targeted by the Alliance like any other pirate gang out there.

While looking for more ways to expand their power was always great and ruthlessly dandy, they wanted to get to planet so they can see what is left of the freighter. The planet Neith was a planet that was filled with a fine line of nitrogen and was a dead world and was similar to Capek in this way but they had much more metals and opportunities to expand a outpost here in the Traverse and intothe Terminus. When it came to getting a boarding party situated, it was the same team but they had to wear everiomentally sealed armor so they can survive the planet's harsh atmosphere, like all modern combat suits.

They had found the crash site and had seen it had been swarmed by infected LOKI mechs a d a YEMR, which that made things both difficult and interesting to the party, though everyone was thinking different thoughts on their own while they were trying to get behind cover. In the midst of the action, Giovanni's cybernetic armor got ripped apart form the fire power of the YMER and his team had to come to the rescue and put it down with a barrage of firepower. This made the other mechs easy pickings for the team and had finally got to the freighter. Unfortunately the mechs were the merchandise that they could've grabbed it but no matter. They found out datatpads with missing pieces of information that they now connected a timeline for how this whole thing happened and deactivated the beacon and silence the transmission for good, but for added measure they bombed the era and made sure no one can find the place.

This finally put an end to the Dead Signals and had put some valuable information about the House and it sets off home so they can tend to their affairs and get a new arm for the Denfather so they can come back to the system and start their expansion and be able to consolidate power from both regions of space.

Sparatus frowned. The proposal the Krogan had made was.....unreasonable.

"Even if we were to agree to your proposal, I highly doubt the other Council members would support dissolving the Krogan DMZ," Sparatus replied. "If you want full support, then you are going to have to convince the Asari, Salarians, and the Humans to agree." Sparatus then remembered that Fedorian said he had an "idea", and thus was now hoping that he would speak up.

Fedorian did indeed speak. "I have an idea," Fedorian said to the Krogan. "The Turians could provide you with weapons and decrease our presence in the Krogan DMZ, but only on one condition- after the Turian military buildup is complete, we have plans to engage the Geth in the Terminus Systems, as they have become a large threat. You must provide us with Krogan infantry that will support our invasion."

Triarch Aleena

Tasale System, Crescent Nebula

Aleena was elected Triarch for one major reason. She was a former Asari Commando and had lead a life of private contracting in the Terminus. She had contacts everywhere from Omega, to the Citadel and even on Thessia. This made her a valuable leader for an economic power on the rise. However, what Illium had for wealth, it lacked in a military. Aleena was there to fix that. With her she brought 2 units of former Asari Commandos to create a new branch of the organization on Illium. Soon, Illium would be known for one thing. Power.

Aleena was going across a few different news articles to catch back up with Citadel space news when she came across a Krogan Bulletin. Reading carefully she cursed. "DAMN YOU WREX!" She had known Wrex previously, he wasn't supposed to get himself killed. They were meant to work together one last time before either of them were allowed to go off and get themselves killed. She would find out exactly what happened to him and she would get vengeance.

While the other Triarchs are new arrivals to Illiumm, Selas was not. She was one of the first colonists of the planet and named as the founder of the second largest city on Illium, Nos Selas. Renamed in honor of her. She had been a champion of the people of Illium and its corporations since she rose to power initially. To share power was new to her, but she knew how to wield this power, the other two were simply warriors. While warriors were needed, infrastructure would provide Illium with the security it needs in the near future. She quickly spent most of the monthly credits on infrastructure, she noticed she had lost 90 to Shiala, who had ordered a Dreadnought. Smiling she spent the rest on more conservative military units.

She sent messages out to several corporations and minor factions in the Terminus inviting them to Illium to discuss terms of a trade arrangement.

Shiala had been changed since the encounter with the Thorian. Her beautiful blue skin had been turned green, as if she were one of the Thorian's clones of her. Now, while on a business trip to Illium, she was elected as Triarch of Illium along side another former Asari Commando and a childless Matriarch who seemed utterly devoted to strengthening the Asari people as a whole. While it was a noble cause, Illium was to be their only concern. She saw its weak and pathetic excuse for a military, bolstered only by the one Dreadnought called Mercy of Illium of Mercy for short. The Very first thing she did in office. Order a second Dreadnought.

She had heard of the loss of Shepard and grieved. She was alive only because of the actions of Shepard on Feros. Now she had to find out what happened to the Normandy and its crew. She started searching for answers and allies in this endeavor.

Capek, Haskins System

The place was getting larger and they had felt its touch within the underground metallic halls of the trade center. House Fennec is known around the Terminus as one of the largest arms dealers and manufacturers. Many from all over come to sample their wares or get swindled by makeshift or counterfeit weapons that came from other parts of the Terminus and those that do sale them usually get dealt with by execution or by being exiled to never come back, but the latter is more effective because they have to deal with people trying to sneak back in their space so they just got tired with it and decided to just killed them off. However, they are more than just arms dealers and people know it for they try to balance the workings of profit and military. This does comes with its own set of problems that makes them seek out potential friends to trade with or time find windows of opportunity to try and expand their reach throughout the galaxy, or at least the Terminus.

Not many options were available for them to choose from, Illium was always a good choice to expand business there but they seem kind of skeptical about them being able to do much then just sale their wares and there was also the Blue Suns that like to make their regional headquarters there and the House was on colorful terms with them after a fiasco with Augustine killing one of their commanders because of a bar fight, but they do come for the House's own weaponry and that the digital clinging of credits usually eases tensions between two parties. However, while money was that big of an issue, the seeking for expansion was since they had found a way of taking over a generally untapped system by taking hold of its purse strings and buying out the Eclipse mercenaries that set up shop in the system. They needed and ally in the area who could help them when it comes to the Traverse and only one name came up, Apex.

The House had heard of Apex Industries and how they like both weapons and mining. Which seemed that was the case because they produce more weapons than the House does but not of higher quality. However, their main game was in the mining industry and to which they claimed that they are the head of the line when it comes to extraction and purification of the resources. This had gotten the Denfather with the idea of go expand in the Traverse for more of a conquest while to seek out Illium for some way of getting into the arms market and black market so they can get in more money with ease as they do other things like send out their corvettes as pirate fleets for extra side profits.

To:Illium Trade Council
From:House Fennec

Hello, I am Mr. Leonard and I represent House Fennec and the commerce department that handles the day-to-day operations in and out of our claimed space. We have reason to believe that you were sending messages to the minor factions and corporations and we will like to look into buying some space and licenses to conduct trade within your borders. If there is anyway that I can come and schedule an appointment for me then that will be appreciated.

House treasury and commerce department,
Daniel Leonard

To:Apex Industries
From:House Fennec

Hello Apex Industries. I am sure you heard of us but if not then we are House Fennec and we have a deal for you. See, we have been looking outward of our current position and have sought that the Traverse is by far and large a good place to expand into and had become a growing interest for us in the growing wake of our system can not hold the flow of income and among other things that make us try to search for relations with powers that are inside the region and have come to you asking in a alliance of some sort for the sake of having a friend when bad things happen.

A message from the organization known as House Fennec arrived and Selas was very happy. She drafted a reply immediately and scheduled their meeting. She knew that this would provide her with additional prestige ahead of the other two Triarchs.

To: House Fennec
From: Triarch Selas Lismir

I thank you for your interest in trade on Illium. We will of course be welcome to host you to discuss terms for you setting up on Illium. There are terms and conditions however. Should these terms be met, I can assure you, that your commerce department will need to double in size simply to handle the demands the Illium Market places on its suppliers. Please make your way to the city of Nos Selas to discuss terms of the contract with myself. I will be able to approve the measures faster than either of the other two Triarchs.

Sur'Kesh

Talat, Jaṅgalat Mahalakesh (Jungle Castle)

The Citadel had been saved. The Council had been rescued. A calamity of enormous proportions had been averted and Dalatrass Linron was none too pleased. As she adjusted her crimson silk seat cushion she once again played out the information over the past few weeks and compared it with the new reports coming in. With the Citadel secured and Councilor Valern back in his usual role as the representative of the Salarian Union the Dalatress could not help but groan in exasperation at what the data was concluding. "Turians mobilizing, Krogans uniting, and the damn Geth are still a variable that we cannot assess. The Quarians unleashed the Geth so many years ago and we are still paying for their sins." Setting down the data pad in front of her she leaned slowly back into her chair letting out another sigh as she awaited the arrival of General Izomi of the Special Tasks Group or STG. Collecting her thoughts she glanced outside the huge bay windows of her office at her personal landing pad and watched as the General and his staff exited their landing craft. The General was as ever early to their meeting and as she leaned forward slightly she could make out a new member of the General's aide-de-camps. A certain STG Operative by the name of Kirrahe who had apparently been the commanding officer at the Krogan Cloning Center incident and had been awarded the rank of major in recognition of his heroism in helping to destroy the facility. Grabbing the data pad in front of her she began to rapidly process information about this new development and see perhaps if Major Kirrahe might be a suitable candidate for Operation Varus.

The air kicked up by the ships engines sent great gusts of air making all those present duck as if in the middle of a monsoon wind as they headed towards the office doors of Dalatrass Linron. Both General Izomi and Major Kirrahe were the last two to depart the now airborne craft as the other members of the group entered the building with haste. However, General Izomi stopped just short of the entrance-way and took in the sweeping vista before him. "Quite a view sir," stated Kirrahe as he glanced over the General's shoulders. "Quite right you are Major. Though I have to say that no matter how many times I look at Sur'Kesh it never remains the same. Always changing and updating with never any signs of complacency. Almost as if the city were an organism evolving and adapting to the changing of the environment." Deftly moving to the General's side Kirrahe examined the city before him and locked the image into his mind. Taking a few moments to examine the image and compare it with others he had gathered he realized that the General was correct. In fact, he could see that several construction sites were being set up over several sectors that were once overtaken by lush jungle foliage. "It seems that Sur'Kesh is soon to be home to a few more manufacturing facilities. Most likely to focus on robotics seeing as companies and governments are scrambling for automated security. Likeliest competitor will be Hahne-Kedar with their LOKI mechs. We will most likely see an increase in corporate sabotage and espionage in that sector. Should take appropriate security measures now and begin to monitor Hahne-Kedar for timetables on when to preempt their attack." Nodding in agreement with the Major's assessment, Izomi took one more moment to survey the city before he entered the lair of Dalatrass Linron. The fact that she had called him in specifically did not bode well and it would most likely involve some major redeployments of STG assets in the field.

As the two entered the office the great glass doors slid behind them without a sound and several of Izomi's staff awaited at attention before a set of deep drown doors set in a curved archway with two Salarian commandos with rifles in hand. Walking brusquely towards the door way the two soldiers set their rifles to their sides and saluted the General and Major as they approached. Giving the two soldiers a salute in return, the two commandos then did a smart about face and placed their hands upon two identical biometric scanners. After several seconds the scanners turned green and the doors automatically opened inward revealing a large meeting room and massive ivory colored table. At whose head sat the current matron mother of the Salarian Union and she did not seem pleased to see the two STG officers. Standing at attention the two gave a salute to the Dalatrass as their entourage awaited outside the doors of the office. As the doors swung back into place the Dalatrass could overhear the various members of the General's aides helping coordinate what seemed to be an operation going on at the Citadel judging by the code words being used. Motioning for the two to take a seat the Dalatrass waved her hand lazily in front of her activating a holographic display of the galaxy that seemed to originate from a center console in the table. Several seconds later the once opaque windows lining the west side of the office quickly flickered off to be replaced by data reports and real time news feeds from around the galaxy.

As both matron of the Linron bloodline and leader of the Salarian Union the Dalatrass commanded enormous respect in Salarian society, especially to two males like Izomi and Kirrahe. So in order to both gain the most insight to the information present and to respect the position that the Dalatrass held they had decided several days earlier that they would sit as close as they could to the holographic display and as far away from the Dalatrass as they could. She already distrusted males in positions of authority and having two such figures in her office would surely put her in a sour mood if she wasn't already in one. Flitting their eyes from screen to screen the two were assaulted by data streaming in from hundreds of sources about thousands of events happening at that very moment. Taking a moment to examine the two officers the Dalatrass raised her hand and soon the screens began to change and soon the data began to become more focused. The galactic map in front of them began to change as suddenly it narrowed in and focused on a single system and then planet. "Palaven" Dalatrass Linron spoke with a firm and serious voice. "Reports have been streaming in from both our sources in the capital and in various military complexes that the Turians are planning some military operation within the next few months." Several screens changed suddenly showing a Turian processing center with hundreds of Turians stretching out the door with small brown camoflauged packs in their hands as they waited for their turn in queue. The camera then slowly panned to the left showing several Turian officials overseeing recruit processing. However, the footage then began to get more erratic as a set of angry Turian security officials with weapons in hand approached the camera lens. The footage then began to get very shaky as it and the camera operator exited the building in a hasty manner. Several shots were heard from the audio and the footage ended there. "As you gentlemen can see the Turians are in the process of rapid troop recruitment and are attempting to keep the levels of said recruitment under wraps. I have already been informed that the amount of materials being bought by the Turian government far exceed their losses at the Citadel so this new force is not simply the Turians coming back up to peace time strength. They are preparing for some military action and that is why I need STG to figure out what that target is and how we can profit from it."

Slowly the monitors around the room began to fade and instead of reports streaming in from Palaven there were now STG dossiers being displayed there. Each one taking up a portion of each monitor representing those operatives the Dalatrass herself felt were the most able to take on this task. Looking to the Dalatrass for approval the General intoned with his body language his desire to speak and examine the various screens. Receiving a slight nod in response the general then almost vaulted from his seat with data pad in hand. Pressing several keys on the pad he began to scroll rapidly through the Dalatrasses list being sure to note those who would be more easily retrieved from the field. While Izomi scanned through the Dalatrasses list Major Kirrahe pulled out his own data pad from the holster on his dress uniform to see what sort of targets would he focus on to collect information about Turian ship production. After several moments Izomi finished highlighting those that he would chose for the operation and as the Dalatrass looked over the highlighted dossiers of several enlisted and officer STG candidates she added a name to the final list. "I approve of your selection general and as you can see I have added my own. I want those operatives put into the field immediately and I want their commanding officer off Sur'Kesh today."

Looking at the newest addition to the list Izomi merely nodded in acceptance of the Dalatrasses choice and headed towards the double door way to inform his staff of the necessary changes to STG operations. Major Kirrahe followed closely behind the general being sure to bow his head slightly towards Linron as he went over various avenues of investigation he could pursue on Palaven. Though the harder part would be getting on the planet without creating undue attention to himself and his team.

Tuchanka

Clan Urdnot had to be stopped or at the very least slowed down in their attempts at uniting the various Krogan Clans on Tuchanka. While Urdnot Wreav had made gains on the ground he still had some way before claiming a unified Krogan people. Mercenary Krogans littered the galaxy and if payed enough one might find a Warlord or two amongst the bunch willing to fight against Clan Urdnot. So far they had successfully integrated and propped up three new Krogan Clans that would hopefully challenge Urdnot Wreav and his machinations. Clan Hoksar led by Panaki is a clan that has been focusing less on brute strength and more on guerrilla tactics focusing on drawing out a Clan's defenses until they are ready to attack its base of operations with a huge assault. Next is Clan Jekrax led by the brutish Taxxa who by even Krogan standards was a massive specimen that previously held a position of authority in the Blood Pack Mercenary group. Finally the most successful pawn they had subverted was the native Krogan Clan Forsan by led by Warlord Trand. Since the Clan itself was a known, albeit minor, power on Tuchanka they had a more established infrastructure unlike the other two imported Krogan Warlords. Thus the Salarian Union continued one of their favorite strategies of using proxy agents to delay or halt their enemies objectives. It has taken a lot of resources and effort to subsidize the Krogan Clans without their knowledge to who their actual benefactor was. Each thought they were the recipient of aid from some Mega Corporation or Mercenary Company looking to get a foothold in Tuchanka for various reasons. So as these Krogan Clans spread their influence over Tuchanka various stations along the DMZ monitor their progress and from time to time allow a small ship or two to pass by laden with small arms, ammunition, and credits. For while the Krogan focus on fighting each other they will not have the time nor inclination to fight the Council once again. However, such shipments were very costly and ran the risk of being discovered by the Council. So as to put blame on another organization the STG decided to contract the delivery and manufacturing of the weaponry to House Fennec. A recent upstart in the Terminus Systems that had a reputation for arms dealing and would hopefully be more than willing to arm several thousand angry Krogan.

Loose-Hand Gunrunning
Nos Selas, Illium

A lone Frigate made its way with Daniel Leonard,a Human of his late 20s that knew the way of both the black market and the true market. He was known as the most notorious smuggler that actually went to and from the Citadel quite a few times before C Sec caught up to him and he ran to the Terminus and joined up with the House to teach new smugglers and traders as he became the headof the commerce department. He had a few crates of the House's newest weaponry that came from the gunsmiths of Capek as they had always strive to put their own Medieval flair and high-quality arms. This will not doubt be something that they can do to dance around both ends of the table when it comes to Illium.

With the docking procedure all ready done. Daniel made his way to his appointment area so he can get down to business. He told the reception,"my name is Daniel Leonard from House Fennec and I have come to my appointment."

Apex Industries||Zirnitra||External Facilities

Seeing the messages pop up on the screen that was scent to his company. Mr.Clinton looked over the names of the factions and their writers. Illium would be a could place to sell their weapons and House Fennec could be a valuable military ally. A pact with them could also save his company the trouble of dealing with House Fennec's more unrespected pro-suits.

To:Triarchs of Illium
From:Henry Clinton,CEO of Apex Industries

I would be delight to make some sort of arrangement. Though sadly I haven't any ships to take me to Illium. So if it wouldn't be to much trouble can you find a private transport?

It would be a pleasure to come to some sort of arrangement. Let us talk face to face on Illium.
