MANAUS: a new name for our cosmic observers
Image

Saltbridge’s first national MALE-class (medium altitude long endurance) unmanned aerial vehicle, dubbed “MANAUS”, took in its maiden flight without a good deal of a promotional material just before the New Year’s Day, SaltbridgeSun.com sources reported on Sunday.

MANAUS is vastly superior to its competition in the same category thanks to its heavier payload capacity, long flight time of 24 hours, higher flight ceiling and state-of-the-art electro optical instruments that include SaltCom’s next-generation SaltCom V4, laser target designator and an indigenously developed synthetic aperture radar (SAR) that can observe, identify and track targets day and night, beyond thick layers of cloud, dust and smoke.

MANAUS also carries on-board artificial intelligence that enables the aircraft to fly autonomously without the demand for remote human assistance, find allied airbases in the case of an emergency and land automatically.

An armed version of the aircraft, codenamed MANAUS S-B, is currently under development in the SaltCom Aerospace Division with further funding from Saltbridge Department of Defense (SDOD). Accounts indicate that MANAUS –B’s modular weapons architecture will be capable to carry SaltArms-developed SA788 LAUREL laser guided rockets (light), Attila-H anti-tank missiles (light) and/or other compatible weapon systems depending on the specified mission.

MANAUS & MANAUS-B was manufactured by SaltCom Aerospace Division with close assisted by SaltArms

LATIUM: new undetectable cruise missile
Image
LATIUM cruise missile

After months of testing, SaltCom Missile Defense (SaltCom MilDef), the SaltCom group of companies, has just been awarded the DoD for the long range precision missile LATIUM, which is the most up-to-date major agenda launched in the capacity of the 2015-2016 military budget. This missile will be a military system particularly customized to the unforeseen conflicts.

The LATIUM features a high conventional piercing charge, together with a range in order of 500-900km and an autonomous target acquisition capability with tremendous precision thanks to the missile’s subsonic airspeed and bi-mode guidance (radar+ infrared imager). This configuration ensure faultless target selection even in urban atmosphere or under adverse weather surroundings, this pin-point accuracy will enable missions to be achieve efficiently in one single hit, whereas avoiding collateral damage.

On other hand, the LATIUM will be a stealthy missile, practically undetectable thanks to carefully design shaped and materials, as well as nap-of-the-earth flying with terrain-following navigation at very low altitude.
