Arcticair is the primary Abovian airline, based in Porthos, and founded in 2013 (as ArcticAir), shortly after regaining a democracy in Aboveland, by president Stefan Mænsij. He handed the company over to Hugo Coxilette, a person well involved in the airline business, and privatized the company.

The Arcticair livery has gone through various modifications to stand where it is today. The current livery stands after the Abovian War, where Arcticair deserved a full new livery to start over fresh. This new one represents peace, equality and joy. Special liveries for different times of the year will be made as well.

Arcticair has committed itself to delivering the best flying experience out there. The best comfort, kindness, safety and economy. Our travel classes are irresistibly priced and well worth it, with most amenities available to all of them.

In the past, Arcticiair served to many destinations and with no casualties, until the shootdown of a 787 by rebels sparked the Abovian War, further disabling all Abovian airports.

Our commitment to quality, comfort and safety truly shines in our options for travel classes. Whether you fly domestic, short, medium or long haul, service quality will never change, guaranteed. First and Business Class are true cradles of luxury. We don't even bother with the name "Economy Class". We prefer "Essentials Class".

Image

Flying domestic? Need a quick hop from Aboveland to a nearby nation? Well you're in luck! Equipped on all Embraer 140 and Embraer 195 aircraft, domestic and short haul flights have two travel classes: Essentials and Business.

BUSINESS:

Comfortable, plush, 45 degree recline angle and with a 20 inch screen on all seats, Domestic & Short Haul Business Class is far from basic. Drinks, from water to special milkshakes, served at your own discretion with the push of a button. Choose from many different snacks or even sandwiches, with special variations included to soothe the exotic taste of flavor lovers. All of this included in your ticket price for just an extra ¥10.

Image

ESSENTIALS:

Essentials class. The new Economy. Remember when the word "Economy Class" made people cringe? It's all product of that word. Essentials is the new Economy Class. Enjoy a comfortable seat with a 20 degree recline and a sensitive 15 inch screen. Whatever the need, domestic Essentials will give it to you.

Image

Image

Don't be scared of international flights. Don't be scared of cramped Economy class. Don't be scared of awful food. Arcticair re-imagines the international flight and gives as much comfort as possible, never forgetting safety. Here at Arcticair, we don't provide private bedrooms with king beds because we feel a flight shouldn't feel like a hotel; it should feel like a flight. An amazing flight experience. The following is equipped on all 737-9001, 777-300ER, 747-8i and 787-9 aircraft.
1737-900s do not have First Class, but does have international Business and Essentials

FIRST:

A cradle of luxury. The best of the best. Need some privacy? Open the wooden paneling on the side of your seat and, with the press of a button, watch as a retractable blind raises next to you. Feeling lonely? Retract the blind and have a casual chat with the person next to you over a glass of wine and some seafood risotto. Or maybe over some champagne and a piece of pink salmon. Maybe even a soda with a tri-tip steak. Even some flavored water with shawarma. Add all of this up with a 32 inch entertainment screen, a private, moveable lamp, a small sliding aisle-facing separating screen, universal power plugs with free adapters in every seat pocket and a fully lie-flat and movable (forwards and backwards) seat. All of this means you're experiencing serenity in the sky at it's best. The possibilities are endless, and you're there to try them.

Image Image

BUSINESS:

Businessman/woman on the go? Need to make a few more graphs before arriving at your destination, ready for a big presentation? Do you even need to relax and watch some satellite TV? Business Class it is! With an almost fully lie-flat seat (160 degrees), a 25 inch entertainment screen, power plugs, plug adapters for AZ$10 and privacy to the max (including a gourmet meal menu), this is the best travel class for busy businessmen/women.

Image

ESSENTIALS:

Long gone are the days when people used to cringe when they heard the words "Economy" and "Coach". Long gone are the days when 2 inch legroom WAS a thing in Economy. Arcticair has scrapped all of that, all of that horrible truth. Nowadays, "Economy Class" is unheard of in Arcticair. Essentials class is the way to go. 40 degree recline, 20 inch entertainment screen, a full catalog of 50+ movies, 20+ games to play with anyone on board and in any class (or to play alone, if you wish to do so) and a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks with some gourmet dining options, Essentials Class will be the best "Economy" you've ever traveled on.

Image

EXTRAS:

In addition to the amenities provided in every class by Arcticair, on every flight is included the following:

-Satellite Television, provided by Abocable

-50+ games and 20+ movies

-Power plugs

-Free Wi-Fi for two hours (additional fee per three hours: ¥ 5.10)

-20+ books from an on-board library (First, Business Class only)

Here at Arcticair, we take our fleet and fleet size very, very seriously. As of now Arcticair will operate 200 aircraft for the time being. Arcticair divides it's aircraft into two divisions: Arcticair Regional and Arcticair. Some aircraft even have special liveries, as will be seen below.

Image

The 140 is an exquisite airplane. Perfect for short haul and domestic routes, this little jewel is the workhorse of domestic flights here at Arcticair. This type operates low density domestic and short haul routes. It's reliable, small, light and great, worthy to put a smile on anybody's face.

Number of aircraft: 20

Image

If you need a versatile, good ranged, reliable, good looking, comfortable aircraft for short trips, the 195 is the one for you. With a large passenger capacity, the type will operate high density domestic and short haul routes, hopefully putting a smile on the face of every traveler, young and old.

Number of aircraft: 20

Image

What better way to travel international medium haul than on a 737? None. Operating average density medium haul routes, the 737 is the longest living of them all. Comfortable, versatile and with a very, very long life expectancy, this airplane will make it big in Arcticair.

Number of aircraft: 20

Image

Image

A behemoth. A queen. A masterpiece. What words can we use to describe such beauty? Used on very long haul very high density routes, the 747-8i is a true work of art and engineering. The top deck, exclusive for first class and the bottom front, business class. The highest seating of all our aircraft, this type has a long way to go, and a lot of faces to put a smile on (which we're certain it will).

Number of aircraft: 20
Christmas Edition aircraft: 4

Image

A long thing. A nice thing. A hard working thing. A gorgeous thing. The 777-300ER, operating high density long haul routes, has been proven to put a happy expression on many travelers. And we're certain it will do so for us.

Number of aircraft: 40

Image

Image

The older, smaller sister of the 747-8i, is it? This aircraft is quiet. Comfortable. Elegant. Beautiful. Just simply amazing. The workhorse and flagship of Arcticair and operating medium/long haul medium/high density routes, the masterpiece that is the Dreamliner is our pride as an airline, and we couldn't recommend it more.

Number of aircraft: 80
Peace Edition aircraft: 2

To Whom it may concern at Arcticair,

Neptune Petroleum is interested in a business offer to become the official aviation fuel supplier for Arcticair. We have noticed that among your partner companies, you have no fuel supplier for your fleet. Neptune Petroleum believes it is the right company for this position, as we are very experienced in the oil and gas field, and are internationally renowned in business. If you accept this deal, Neptune Petroleum will send fuel tankers to your hub airports and refuel aircraft before they take off. In addition, we can also open a Neptune franchise in your country with filling stations (see our website at www.neptune.st) if you wish. We thank you for reading through this business offer and hope to hear back from your company soon. A partnership form is enclosed:
Full nation name: SJT
Airline name (storefront link required): Neptune Petroleum
Owner/Referrer: Mr. Wilem Hallen
Benefits: official jet fuel supply
Additional Notes/Comments/Remarks: If you choose to accept this offer, Arcticair will list Neptune Petroleum as a partner on its homepage, and we will do the same.

Sincerely

To whom it may concern,

Arcticair is known for delivering quality service to its passengers. As part of that reputation, we know Arcticair for its excellent safety record, and at Spirit Avionics we understand the need to put safety first. Because of your company's exemplary service and safety record, Spirit Avionics is excited to introduce to you our Integrated Avionics System, or IAS. Our own research as well as the research of many other agencies in the past 20 years have resulted in the culmination of an avionics system that is better able to handle the growing demands of cockpit electronics during this ever-evolving age in aviation. Along with standard autopilot and autothrottle systems, our IAS has improved many subsystems used within the cockpit, as well as introduced entirely new subsystems that provide a greater level of safety to passengers and the flight crew:
  • The ACARS (Aircraft Communications, Addressing, and Reporting System) is better integrated into the rest of the flight system: it now provides a secondary source of location data, weather information, and the position of nearby aircraft that may be outside of the standard range detectable by other warning systems.
  • The ACARS datalink is now completely encrypted in multiple AES-256 channels spread over a broad spectrum of frequencies for redundancy and security. Our ACARS system also uses digital protocols for communications, while older systems still use unreliable analog protocols.
  • The ACARS also transmits a spare copy of all of the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder contents during flight to a satellite or ground station, where they can then be stored securely and analyzed in the case of an accident in which the physical data recorders are inaccessible.
  • Our EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) works primarily with the radio altimeter, but also factors in location data and a terrain map provided via the ACARS for redundancy.
  • The MAIS (Meterological and Atmospheric Information System), a subsystem of our own design, combines forward-pointing weather radar with radar data provided via ACARS to determine if flying conditions are poor. Also, the aircraft transmits surrounding weather conditions back to the substation, where it is then crowdsourced and broadcasted to other aircraft.
  • The PCAS (Propulsion-controlled Aircraft System) is the crowning jewel of the IAS: in the case that the primary flight controls (flaps, ailerons, rudder, etc.) fail due to loss of hydraulic power, the PCAS allows for pilot input to be carried out by altering the thrust differentials of the engines. For example, to turn or to recover from a severe bank angle, the PCAS would apply more thrust to one side in order to cause the plane to turn or to level off. There have been many cases in aviation where a rupture in the airframe, whether due to poor maintenance, pilot error, or terrorist acts in which the loss of primary controls has led to a loss in control of the entire aircraft and leading to the complete loss of the aircraft as well as everyone on board. The PACS is our solution to the problem, by providing a secondary means of controlling the aircraft.
Through these improvements, we hope to make flying safer for passengers and more efficient for airlines and aerospace manufacturers such as yourself. For these reasons, we wish to include our IAS aboard the aircraft in Arcticair's fleet. As such, our application form is attached below. We are willing to provide a hefty discount off of the standard retail price of $70,110 should you choose to do so. Exact pricing and details can be negotiated on this storefront, if you wish, or you can always negotiate on our storefront or privately through telegram.

We hope to have you join us as we enter the new era of flying!

Best regards,
Vincent Merrick

Mr. Merrick,

Arcticair has deeply considered the addition of the IAS to all aircraft. However, we ask if a discount is possible, due to the current state of the nation. If you were not aware, Aboveland is emerging from a long war and has little monetary resources left, since most has been placed for the reconstruction of the country. Thank you!
