That was the original idea, but I wanted to open up positions a platoon wouldn't have. We'll start with one platoon, then expand from there.

What for? Squad leader have radios they can use to directly contact the platoon, and platoon commanders can use them to talk to the company. In case those fail, use messengers. If you need wiremen to direct a company, you're in some pretty deep shit.
