Linkin Park is extremely popular in India among all age groups and demographics.

Odd; not because I personally dislike them, but because it seems strange that an American band no one has talked about ten years would develop a strong following in India. I understand American culture has massive sway, but why did that stick?

They also are very well known in South Africa, from what I experienced.

Well, isn't India a decently sizeable influence in South Africa?

Something about their sound or lyrics must have resonated with them more than with the Americans. That's what I think, anyway.

It makes weird sense. Music targeted at disaffected youth appeals to a disaffected country.

Eh. Only amongst the Indian community and even that's decreasing. I barely consider South African Indians to be Indian.

This may actually make sense, though a lot of their more recent stuff isn't targeted at disaffected youth.

They only need to build a base with that genre.

But it's probably like Zark and Nat have said. Once you get popular, you can start to branch out amd experiment.

I don't really like terribly mournful music, with the long notes and piano music. I tend to prefer stuff with more bombast, being myself an obnoxious asshole; I'm also much more likely to like a piece of music if it is thematically tragic or about moral decay and similar shit, due to the aforementioned being an obnoxious asshole.

I guess it makes sense, but I never really followed them very closely. I just like some of their songs, which I assume are somewhat old by now.

In no game but cricket would the commentators chat about what they had for lunch, and then cut to footage of the place they bought it to illustrate their point.

My AP Bio homework has tasked me with designing a hypothetical experiment in which we test respiration in a small animal.

What's the control group supposed to be, you sick fucks?

The actual experiment involves us playing with ice water. It's going to be something like 15 degrees F tomorrow, or -9.4 C.

These motherfuckers are trying to kill us and some form of furry animal.
