The Titans (Portal to the Multiverse RP Group)

Hello and welcome. This is an RP group started by members of the RP "Of Men and Titans" when it was discovered that many of us enjoyed playing together and we would often recruit each other. The RP ended abruptly but we still continued to dream and scheme of grander results, and we still used our thread for idea discussion and advertising purposes. This group was created out of that casualness for us to use in discussing our own RPs and recruiting among ourselves.

1. To create a space for casual discussions of each others work with constructive criticism, but at the same time friendliness and civilly.
2. To advertise our Ideas and RPs among the same group that participates in the above discussions.
3. To store RP ideas that have gone flat or need work until a later time.

    1. Please do not overdo the criticism. The RP's OP has the final say.
    2. Avoid cursing.
    3. This is run by democracy. If anything needs to be decided it will be done democratically.
    4. We value your ideas, but don't be offended if no one joins.
    5. Please TG me ideas.
    6. Use the App to join.
    7. All general NS rules apply.
    8. If a player feels harassed the case will be decided by multiple nations as to whether this valid. If found to be harassing a player expect to be ejected.
    9. If banned from one RP the group may elect to ban you from all future RPs hosted by members of the group.
    10. The founder and cofounders may accept apps. If an app is accepted by one, but upon review the others do not believe it should accepted, it will not be accepted.

Types of characters I'd like to, or enjoy, playing-
  • Alchemists (Male)
  • Aliens
  • Androids
  • Anthropomorphic Animals
  • Healers (Female)
  • Humans
  • Lawful Characters
  • Loyal Individuals
  • Manipulative characters
  • Monster Girls
  • People with anger issues
  • Servants/Pets (usually Male)
  • Shy Girls
  • Troubled Minds
  • Young Level Minded Politicians (Male)
  • Victims of a monster attack (especially if they are consumed)

Chronicles of Equalia: Heart of Snow
Melinum ago, the Ice King sent the world into a state of frost eternal. Nations fell to the might of wind in snow, plants would not grow, and many perished. His rule would have been solidified had it not been for the power of the Enlentai, heirs of the gods who defeated the Ice King allowing spring to again emerge, and new nations to form upon the land. One such place was established in the valley of the Entlentai themselves, Equalia. Formed from the union of three races under the guidance of the Enlentai many Equalians now turn their gaze beyond. Some to the Savannah, and Praries of the south, while others turn their gaze north where the land remains blanketed in snow, and the ruins of the old world remain. These people are known by many names; treasure hunters, adventures, and loons being among the terms. Their motives ranging form discovery of the past, to pure profit as relics are worth much to a worthy collector.

You are a member of the Streamworth Expedition funded by the Enlentai Council.

Dreamwalker
Your's is a special gift, the ability to not only control one's dreams, but to travel into the dreams of others. You don't know if others share your gift, in fact, you might not even be sure if your power is real, or a flight of fancy.

The Dreamscape
When you sleep you have access to the vast Dreamscape, a land of pure imagination that rests at the boundary of life, and death. A land of utter innocents, and pure terror. The Dreamscape is only limited by the minds of the sleepers. To east lies death, to the west life, and a return to consciousness. Between these two is the ever fluctuating land of dreams.
Creatures of the Dreamscape
  • Nightmares - Dark mares that roam the cloudy plane of the dreamscape disturbing the sleepers they pass over, bringing Night terrors upon them. They graze upon fear.
  • Nightstalker - A dark shadowy humanoid creature that inhabits the dark fields near the lands of Death. The Nightstalkers are one of the few beings able to enter the conscious world, appearing as misty thick human like shadows of no apparent origin. Their objective in the conscious world is beyond our knowledge.
  • Sprites - Sprites are creatures with an exceptional love of fun who travel dreams in search of entertainment which they exist upon. Sprites can't live with out joy. They blend in with the dreams they enter, often taking on the role of the unknown house guest at a sorority party or even as that player on your team whose name you just don't know, but you've met at least once.
Traits of a Dreamwalker: The Hazards and Rewards
  • Hijacking: Dreamwalkers, due to their complete control of their own dreams, and control of their actions in others do have the ability to subvert the dream of a normal individual so that it bends to them, however such isn't easy, and requires some interaction. Mostly with the dreamer, and convincing the the dreamer to go along with you. This could be as simple as pointing somewhere the dreamer is not looking, and stating that something is their, and having them believe it, and then from that point manipulating the individuals perception so that the dream becomes as you desire it to be. A more forceful method is to have such an impressionable presence that the dreamer instantly looses control of their dream. The easiest way to do this is by fear, though it's not the only method. Once the control is gained the dream around you will begin to hone into your whims, rather then the dreamer who created it.
  • The Dark Barrier: Their is a wall of blackness near the lands of Death that marks the border of deepest sleep. Crossing this border means having to find an exit on the other side, as you will be unable to cross back the way you came... and no one who has made it out, remembers the way. Upon crossing the border, one's body enters a comatose state, and prolonged exposure to the realm that lies past it, will drain one's energy till Death makes a claim. You will slow, and slow as the exist slowly closes.
  • Waking UP: Your nature means you have only three was of waking up, 1) remaining in your own dream or returning to your own dream after leaving it and waiting till it ends, or you are interrupted in the conscious world. 2) Reaching the far west end of the Dreamscape should you be unable to return to your own dream.

The Only Monster is a Human
Image

Summery: Set in a fantasy world over run by Human hordes, the other races fight to keep their lands from the encroachment of man which has been stamping out all that don't fit their image of beauty. Greed, Hate, Dominance powers the human machine.

Under the guardianship of the Dragon Umbrax, the beings of this valley have been protected from the human menace, but something has changed. Umbrax is NO MORE! Humans have breached the pass, and are swarming in! It's a war of survival now as mankind intrudes upon the free land.

Lore
The Valley is actually much more though it's full expanse wasn't originally known. It's a coastal region of various claimants ranging from a desert to the east, and tundra to the west. Each is a relatively lawless land with no written language where the only order is local tradition. No city exists here as one lives where one can lay claim. Umbrax however was able to summon any of the residence to aid in protection of the land, with him gone many are still clueless as to the coming human scourge. Save those contacted by his remaining children, or survivors of the battle of the pass.

Humans
Humans are the greatest threat to the other races. They destroy woodlands to build monuments to their greedy rulers, kill any in lands they want to claim, and even fight large scale battles for land against their own kind. They have no respect for the rights of others, and are only kept in order by fear of their 'Emperors', and 'Kings' who kill any who oppose their rule, or refuse to give them 'tribute'... theft really. They call it 'taxation' or 'rent' for the right to have a dwelling. It's horrible, and the more one learns of man the more horrible one realizes them to be.
Footman
Image
These simple minded obedient drones will willingly die for their heartless commanders. Coming in droves with little more then a spear these beings can easily be dispatches unless in a group where they will swarm their victims.
Knight
Image
A Knight is one whom a king has allowed to levy his own taxes, and provided his own little dominion to lord over in exchange for management of footmen. The Knight is concerned with keeping in his king's favor by completing as many foul deeds as possible; from crushing rebellions by other power hungry humans, to slaying some mighty beast; like our dear Umbrax the Protector. Apparently the knight feels these deeds will convince the king to hand over the princess as some kind of prize; as if his land wasn't enough.
Theif
Image
The Theif is a sly, cunning greedy human who can't contend with what he has, and must take form others, even members of his own race. They ruin nests seeking young ones who they sell to the mage who will skin them, cook them, eat them; and use the remains to create potions which he then sells the the thief who does it all over again. Though it's not just the young he's after, the thief will take bits of your possessions as well; those shiny stones you have to impress a mate? Forget it, he's just taken them!
Mage
Image
The Mage will grind your bones to make potions which he then sells to be consumed by others of his race. He seeks ultimate power, or eternal life; he should never be trusted, he will twist you, and the worse of our kin have even allowed the mage to change them... into... one of them. He'd betray his own monarch if given the chance, but then again, what human wouldn't?

Eitoman RP
Concept & Background: Eitoman was a 1950s cybernetic superhero. The first android superhero in Japanese media. Eitoman was Detective Yokoba who was killed in action, and revived as a machine by transfer of his consciousness into an android body. He now goes by the name Hachiro Azuma, keeping his true identity from those he was once close to. His character was popular for a time, even warranting a 'Fair well to 8 Man' special. In the 1990s, after Robocop, his character was revisited, and given a gritty reboot. The RP would take place in the world of 8 Man; a world like that portrayed in the 1990s reboot, but containing elements from the 1950s series, such as a criminal organization that steals advanced technology in order to possess a monopoly, and keep the prices high. There would only be one 8 Man, so players would be taking on the role of a normal human, or a cybernetically enhanced individual. This would technically be considered Cyberpunk.

Eitoman goes well with Styx's Mr Roboto

Everland
Alright, so I finally discussed an afore mentioned idea with a colleague, and this is what we're thinking;

An RP set in a town distributed, and segregated not by race, but culture; and by culture, we mean something more then Brits, Germans, or Australians (none of those exist here). These cultures are built around a way of a life connected to a period in time; the upper left is a culture build around the 2000s, the upper right is a jazzy 1920s culture with a strong mafia following, to the lower right is a culture inspired by Mideval fantasy, and to the lower left is a Victorian society that houses a steampunk sub-culture popular with the younger generation (but having it's share of elders). These districts are joined at the Nexus, a great shopping, and government center where people from all four districts are allowed to mingle.

It's multi-species;
ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Races

Players may have all or some of the attributes listed under race.

Magic
Charmera wrote:Perhaps Every culture could have access to the bending of the four elements (as such is likely very noncomplex magic). Fantasy could have access to more powerful and a wider range of magic (Invocation, Enchantment and such), the 1920's could have darker and more subtle magic (As you said, Voodoo or dark pacts of some kind). The Steampunk could have technomagic. And the Modern people could be the most magic stagnant, as technology got more complex magic got less so.

  • Modern - Basic elements, yet stagnant, no formal education in magical arts; and most modern amenities make every day use of magic pointless.
  • 1920s - Dark and Subtile, inspired by Voodoo, and dark pacts. Taking on a eerie sinister feel.
  • Victorian - Enchantment meets technology, allowing for arcane batteries which come in handy with smaller devices like artificial limbs.
  • Mid-Fan - Widest range of magics.

Gamma World: Hands of Greed
At the end of the 24th century, the social issues of the previous decades exploded into global conflicts in which every part and member of society was involved. Civilization was destroyed in the sweep of these Social Wars as the lasers, biogenic agents, and nuclear warheads took their toll. Those who survived soon found them selves witnessing a biogenic revolution as animals like none other soon repopulated the Earth. It is now the year 2480, lizards with telepathy and unnatural savage creatures are now common sight. The the age of Anarchy has passed, civilization has been reborn,

and no place more then the East, which to many, has be come too controlling. Absolute Monarchs, Radioactive Terrorists, Knights bent on genecide... even totalitarian states governed by machines. All, and more, are reasons why individuals go to the west. Word is that the land is open, that even among the dry Savannah can be found futile valleys, and wide tracks of land ripe for the taking. It's even said by some that it remains free of radiation. These rumors and more, treasures from the past, draw men, and women from all walks of life to stake a claim. Some seek to begin a new society, others to the helm of freedom, and a few to spread their believes, and a few, for the untapped wealth of the land.

Welcome to what was Northern, and Central Texas where you can either find your utmost of dreams or end up in a ditch with vultures eating your rotting corpse.

Settlements
Austin
Dallas

Factions
The Cabal - A secret alliances of businessman intent on obtaining the region by any means.
The Reserve - Mutants freed from bondage who have come out west to establish a Mutant homeland.
The Restorationists - Seek to rebuild America, towns tend to be more orderly, and possess access to Tech Three equipment.

---

Notes:
Well I was thinking; The Republican Commune of Houston, The Free Territory of Dallas, and the Reserve as the three main settlements (or factions). The Republican Commune of Houston is original Southern view of Republicanism with hints of socialism. Most are either farmers or craftsmen whom also served in the conscripted military, each man earns what he works for as the elected council and bureaucracy overseers this. They believe that their ideals are the manifest of gods love; they wish to extend their power (most likely will align themselves with the Cabel, yet some of the council object). The Free
Territory of Dallas is the gun-slingin', beer drinkin', card playin' paradise. Mostly a shanty town built within the ruins of Dallas, the streets are lined with beggars, prostitutes, and dead bodies. There is no "central" government but the people of Dallas understand a moral code, they seem like savages yet have their own sets of laws. They don't tolerate thieves, cheaters, or men who hurt the innocent and will often band into militias to defend their lands and ideals (fully against the Cabel).
Finally the Reserve, a settlement consisting wholly of mutants. They oppose interactions with the humans who have subjugated them for so long. The Reserve sits on the side of a canyon, various adobe huts and dens line the walls while a crude fence surrounds the settlement. There is infighting between the chiefs of the reserve, as different sects differ in the belief of militancy against the humans or pacifism (also against the Cabel).

Texas comes to my mind as southern, and western. It has enough plains, deserts, and fertile land to be a fairly mixed setting. It's also be a perfect time to introduce some Jaget characters.
http://the-titans-rp-and-information.wi ... iki/Jagets
We'd need to come up with all that's going on though. Some scheme that could cover a large territory, and connect people from all walks of life.
My first thought is an Annexation plot involving the Restorationists.
http://the-titans-rp-and-information.wi ... rationists
The idea would be that a large, rather diverse, and only loosely united area of what was once Northern Texas, and Southern Oklahoma has been targeted by a group of very influential businessmen who are aligned with the Restorationists. This 'cabal' if you will plans to use any means to acquire the land via purchases, or other forms of claim so as to be come the undisputed masters of a new State for the re-emerging union.
Criminal characters might find themselves unknowingly serving the ends of this Cabal, lawmen might find themselves catching on to the plot, and a few others might be wronged by the efforts of these men.

Modern Mythos (A Reboot)
Linking the past
Image

To our present

Monster Town (working title)
My original concept involved a town where monsters from myth, and lore had been turned into humans, and memory of what they where blocked from their minds, with one individual eventually discovering the truth, and having to decide what to do with the knowledge. The communities leader would have been the one responsible for their change, seeing it as a kind of 2nd chance. He would have pulled what ever strings he could to prevent the residence from learning who, or what they had been. Eventually the One who Knows, would inevitably try to tell the others, and thus those players would have to decide just how much they believe, if they believe at all. Most likely the RP would have came down to the residences having to decide what to do, knowing what they know.

The World of Zid: Guide to the Beyond
Image

You are a Guide, a servant of Nerrul the Keeper of Death- your task is to guide departed souls to their proper place- a new body, or the Eternal Lands. However malicious forces seek to hinder your duty- many of them souls who have held on to malice. Souls who gain power with ever other soul they keep bound to the mortal plane- their dark master, the Lord of Chains- grows in strength with ever soul that enters his service.

You must guide your charge, the recently departed though the trails that take place in this realm between life, and death. Be warned- the foes you face are many.

Guide Application
Code: Select all
Name:
Appearance: You are a black winged entity made in the image of a Human Female- though you yourself are sexless.
Weapon: Guides are armed with with a bound blade, a sickle, dagger, or great-sword.
Abilities:

Soul Burst - Using spirit energy you send a shock wave that destroys shadows, but will also disorient any spirit near to you (from Demons, to your own flock). Soul Burst's effectiveness is determined by how filled one's Soul Jar is (all points are emptied)

Siphon & Soul Jar - You draw energy from a Shade or Demon, and send that spirit energy into your Soul Jar. You can only siphon once per encounter, and each Siphon equals 3 Spirit Points. The target is not diminished by this attack. A Soul Jar can contain 16 points.

Spirit Bolt - You withdraw an orb of Spirit energy from your Jar and use it to attack from a distance (uses one Spirit Point).
Soul Jar: 8/16
You are a child of Nerrul, created and raised by your lord to forefill his service to the world.

Foes of Death

Demons - Demons are souls in service to the Lord of Chains- they will attempt to lead members of your charge into his service with temptations. Some may promise vengeance for a wrongful death, some a return to life, - all offers which are false.

False Guide - Like you this one was once a devoted follower of Nerrul- but this one has fallen into the service of the Lord of Chains- and seeks to fill it's Soul Jar with energy from your flock. The False Guide usually preys upon ghosts- spirits not given proper rites of burial required to summon a guide such as your self. Freeing spirits held by a False Guide can add to your flock, and disrupt the activity of the fallen.

Shade - Shade are souls who lost in the Midway, and long forgotten by those who loved them, have expended themselves to the point of being a 'spirit husk'. Shade's have taken to feeding on the soul energy of mortals, and those spirits leaving for the Eternal Lands- both having lethal effects. A Shade will appear as a dark shadow till it feeds, where upon it shall appear as any other spirit- be weary of Shades posing for your guidance. While some may truly seek your path- many will simply desire the feast that is your charge.

Shadow - This is what happens when a shade finally goes from a husk to a whisper- this creature will attempt to gain life by entering a vibrant spirit. This often imprints vague memories of what the Shadow once was onto the spirit it merges with, and can lead to corruption of the soul. A spirit that is so tainted can not be turned away- but rather the shadow must be removed in the glowing waters of the Midway.

Note: The Journey to lead your flock will last eight IC pages with random encounters occurring at every turn- your flock will be five spirits destined for the same destination.

Vectorman RP
Set in the world of Vectorman after the first, and 2nd game the RP would have to follow a central focus, which could be a number of things from the return of Humanity, to a conflict with the insectoids. Players would have a number of Or-bot models to choose from.

Fairly Modern Grimm: The Relaunch
A relaunching of the rather successful Fairly Modern Grimm RP. Some changes would be made to available bloodlines.
Changes
  • Animus, Arthurian, Children of the Bow, Seal Maiden Bloodlines removed. The latter three may be readmitted with or with out changes.

Vectorman RP
Set in the world of Vectorman after the first, and 2nd game the RP would have to follow a central focus, which could be a number of things from the return of Humanity, to a conflict with the insectoids. Players would have a number of Or-bot models to choose from.

Elaborate on the Dreamwalker concept.

In Dreamwalker, the player would be a person in the physical world who possesses a psychic gift, which combined with a unconscious link to all people, allows one to enter a plan made entirely of dreams. Somewhere that exists between life, and death. The plot currently revolves around combating a dark figure in the Dreamscape, with aims on infinite terror. Essentially the individual is an entity that is empowered by negative emotion, and whose forces, the Nightstalkers are growing powerful enough to travel into the physical plane, where they stalk people for some sinister purpose; to learn what makes them fear.

If I wasn't so busy with my studies I could do more, but at the moment I can only do up to 2 RPs max.

Currently doing an OM&T RP and could do one more... like FMG.

I used to dream about doing something like that. Each Dream Plane was its own reality inside a person's mind...

So I'm working on an RP based in the year 30,000 BC. However, being based in the Drakesing universe it means that humanity was not only very well developed but also had an empire that rivals another empire called the Neanderthal Republic. It will be based around the fall of Cthulhu and the sinking of R'lyeh. It's got a lot of sci-fi characteristics too, not just magic. And to add an extra twist it's the ice age which means a lot of the animals of the modern era are replaced by things like Sabre Tooth Tigers and Woolly Mammoths. Also a lot of other stuff.

What's that? Is it based on a film or book franchise?

No. Drakesing is the RP that partially inspired Elfen High...I think. It had 7 installments before the last one died and recently the first one was restarted.

They sure don't make documentaries like these anymore... they have such a 90s feel to it...
