About New Drakonika

The Kingdom of New Drakonika, commonly called New Drakonika, is a Constitutional Monarchy in Atlantian Oceania. It is located in the Great Calanian Desert. New Drakonika covers roughly a third of a million square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 25 million. New Drakonika comprises of a unitary state.
New Drakonika is a small nation on the international stage, mainly focusing on sport rather than international affairs. They have close relations with most sporting nations, with sport bringing the nations together.
New Drakonika is notable for being the only nation in Atlantian Oceania to consist almost entirely of dracons, a humanoid dragon-like sentient species.

Roster

Manager: Petr Yulayevitch Medvev (QUE, 33, 3-4-3, +2)
A well-seasoned veteran, he previously was the manager of Montreal Koreana and Zenit Attawapiskat for past 5 years, before getting his first job at coaching at a Quebecois NT position. Once there, he has successfully led the Royal Kingdom of Quebec U-15 Executioners to their championship run in U15WC8 held in Mastille, as the assistant manager to Sook Jin Lee.
When it comes to strategies and expectations for players, he's demanding of his players, he is willing to use any strategy to counter the opponent and win. Work ethics, as well as the mentality of Team over Individual, will be expected.

Assistant Manager: Rn Jhnsn (NDK, 24)
Rn was a very promising defender before a serious injury to his leg ended his career at the age of 18. Now 23, he's been selected to be assistant manager for the national side due to his good performances managing the top amateur team.

Goalkeepers:
1 - Jk Jnz - 28 - Jsnfd Rvrs
Jk is a veteran keeper who is just starting to feel his body age, but he still puts in 110%, and is very athletic, with the main tool in his arsenal being monster diving saves.

12 - Hri Tms - 22 - Ranstn Ftbl
Hri is a keeper in the middle of his career, hoping to make an impact, but as second-string keeper, it looks unlikely until Jk retires.

23 - Jsua Wlsn - 18 - Wlms Thsl
Jsua is a highly touted keeper talent, with a exemplary attitude and good athletic skills. His technical skills need some work, but he should be there or thereabouts for at least second string when Jk retires.

Defenders:
2 - Jf Prkr - 24 - Frst Rvrs
Jf is a good defender who can mix it with the nation's best, although his attitude leaves something to be desired.

3 - Mrk Brn - 22 - Frdwk AFC
Mrk is a middle of the park defender, a good utility who can provide consistently good performances.

4 - Kvn Adms - 26 - Frdwk AFC
Kvn is a veteran defender, who dives hard into tackles, but makes sure he's in front of the player first. He has caused injuries, but outside of football, he's a big softy.

13 - Zk Ylw - 17 - Frst Rvrs
Zk is an abrasive and combative young defender, who is known to lose his temper, but he can really defend, even better than someone at their peak. His attitude has led him to only be a backup, however.

14 - Bryn MkNtsh - 22 - Jsnfd Ftbl
Bryn is a smart analytical player, who spends most of his off the ball time watching the opposition for weaknesses. It's a shame that his technical ability, while good, doesn't anywhere near match his mental ability.

15 - In Tbis - 20 - Gld FC
In was an Australian rules footballer before moving on to what many call "the real football" three years ago. He's athletic, albeit still makes the mistake of handling the ball on occasion. He can muscle out almost any forward however.

Midfielders:
5 - Juln Mnng - 22 - Dntn Wndrs
Juln is a class act, he always helps out his teammates and almost never takes the glory for himself, always looking for the killer pass. He's a good techincal player, but his niceness does seem to get in the way at times.

6 - Olvr Frsf - 27 - Frdwk AFC
Olvr is a smart cookie, always analysing the team before matches figuring out how they, and ultimately himself, can improve. His technical ability is quite good as well.

7 - Wlm Tbs - 23 - Frst Rvrs
Wlm is a strong midfielder, who can muscle almost any player into making errors, but he knows the laws of the game, and tries to avoid fouls, albeit with limited success.

8 - Kyn Tylr - 21 - Ranstn Ftbl
Kyn is a very energetic player, he can zip up and down the pitch with ease, and still have a lot left in the tank when all is said and done. Technically, he needs to work harder, but if he can match his physical skills, he'll be practically unstoppable.

16 - Bn Wlf - 19 - Frst Rvrs
Bn is a promising young talent who has great technical skills and has a solid mind, in the physical sense however, he is flagging behind others his age.

17 - Hrsn Crtr - 17 - Gld FC
Hrsn is a young, raw talent, who has aspirations of becoming a world beater, whether he will achieve that is up to his work ethic, which is flagging as of late.

18 - Jn Eln - 21 - Frst Rvrs
Jn is a brute, always going in hard to tackles and generally causing mayhem. He is a very powerful kicker of the ball, but is usually only used in emergencies, or games where the goal is to cripple the opposition, i.e major rivalries with incited hate.

19 - Frnk Dntn - 18 - Dntn Wndrs
Frnk is a direct descendant of the founding family of Dntn, and even shares his surname with the city's name. However, he is one of the first family members to branch out into football. He is a good talent, with all around skills, but is not going to peak for a while yet.

Strikers:
9 - Jmz Blyv - 25 - Jsnfd Rvrs
Jmz is the number one striker in New Drakonika, having a very powerful and accurate kick. However, he can get angry at the most minuscule of things, and has been thrown off the field more than a few times.

10 - Nthn Smnr - 23 - Jsnfd Rvrs
Nthn is your Average Joe when it comes to personality, but god help you if you underestimate him on the pitch. He will rip your defense apart and feast on your goal, or at least he does so in the league.

11 - Mrtn Hrmsn - 18 - Frdwk AFC
Mrtn is a very good forward, who always moves the ball with skill and precision, although he's known for showboating and sometimes losing his cool.

20 - Qwncy Prtr - 28 - Wlms Thsl
Qwncy is a chance creator, always getting at the line and timing his runs to score on the break. His only issue is that he's offside more often than not due to his mistiming.

21 - Ryn Clrk - 20 - Frst Rvrs
Ryn is a great forward and could easily rival Jmz Blyv in a couple of years. His anger management is nowhere near as bad as Jmz' either, so that can only be a good thing.

22 - Vctr Hrmsn - 18 - Dntn Wndrs
Vctr is Mrtn's twin brother who is always always attempting to one him up and gain a competitive edge, however, the rivalry seems to get to Vctr more than it does Mrtn. As such he seems to be slightly worse.

Home Stadium

Image

DrknkArna is the premier football venue in New Drakonika, which seats 80,000. Home to all two Drknika teams as well as all National Teams, it may look like your generic massive football stadium from the pitch, but inside the buildings are state of the art facilities like top-class food and drink, from the cheap and fattening to the opulence of 5-star restaurants. The Drknika MtroRl (Drakonika MetroRail) links DrknikArna to the rest of the city, and if an emergency happens, the stadium's strong architecture and advanced warning system will get people out and safe ASAP. The pitch is unusually resistant to damage, it's a wonderpitch. It's composition has been attempted elsewhere, but the results have never been as good. It really is a freak of nature. And lastly, it is a tourists paradise, as it hosts the Drknkn Ntnl Msm ov Sprt (Drakonikan National Museum of Sport).

Stadium

The crowning jewel in The Sarian is Home Covert, home to the most successful team in Sarian History, FC Chippenham who have won both the Super League and the Florican Shield a record of five times. Seating just over eighty-two thousand spectators, Home Covert is the largest stadium in the archipelago. Due to the stadiums size, versatility and unique architecture the stadium has been used many times in international events , including the premier Beltane Cup final, and the Third Place Playoff of the 57th Baptism of Fire.

Home Covert was erected in 2127 and was designed by architect, Kieran Karsh. Karsh, whose other works include the Beltek Tour in Lavington and more recently Salvador FC's Poseidon's Palace, which is of course in Port Salvador. The stadium was designed to represent the might and continuing prosperity of 2120's Sarian, and twenty years later it is still viewed as one of the best looking stadiums in the federation.

Home Covert is found in the Central District of the capital, meaning that it is easily accessed by both the underground, overground and capital bus service. Commute by car, while possible, is not encouraged due to the high congestion and high road tariffs in the capital.

The central location of the stadium is beneficial for travelling fans, being just seventeen minutes on the Overground from Chippenham Central Airport, with a direct train. The location of the stadium also means there is a wide range of accommodation for fans, officials and players alike. Ranging from cheap SariMotels, which have rooms from as little as ɨ7 a night to the luxury branded Maiden Hotels, which cost considerably more.

Tourist attractions around the stadium include Parliament Square, Pitaluga Street, Hopton Palace and the Chippenham Eye, in addition to a number of museums, retired Naval Vessels and impressive skyscrapers that mean you can indulge in both Sarian Culture as well as the culture of football, and even make playing The Sarian part of a longer holiday, rather than just popping over for the match.

The Football Federation of Mertagne Presents...
Image
The Calanian Union National Football Team
For The World Cup 70 Qualifiers

Held in the Spring and Summer of 2193, with the finals held in the Summer of 2194

Another World Cup has rolled around again, and it's time for The Calanian Union to take part and show the world that, while the country has changed quite a bit, the football team is still capable of the high standard of play expected for them nowadays. Currently the 24th best team in the world (while unfortunately still known as The Inevitable Syndicate), Gerald Montier has claimed that this will be the cycle that the Union does well, and hopes to set the bar for the team as The Calanian Union for future cycles to try and match.

He's picked a fantastic team to do it with, as well. Full of big names that have moved to Mertian teams in order to promote the sport in the north, and transfer stars playing in some of the multiverse's best leagues, the squad looks to be a mix of old and young players, with only the best selected for international play. Instead of the old format of having an 'A' and a 'B' team, Montier has taken a leaf out of the other teams of the multiverse, the Union's U21's included, and has comprised a depth chart for selecting his squad every match. It's listed from the most likely candidate to play (at the top) to those who are best suited for a mid-match substitution, and Montier looks to be more flexible this cycle than he has been in others. Hopefully this will enable the squad to exploit the weaknesses of the other teams, by switching up both players and formation to suit their needs.

Everyone seems to have higher hopes this year than they did for the AOCAF, where Montier battled with depression after the loss of a family member. Because of this, he claims the mental health of his players is more important than ever, and "[hopes] not to push them too hard - after all, [he wants] them fighting fit both in body and soul for the qualifiers".

So, could this be the cycle, as it's hyped up to be every cycle? I don't know, but it'll sure be one hell of a ride finding out...

Home Stadium:

Neorudo Olympic Stadium (also known as the Neorudo Cop Limy Stadium) will play host to the Union's home matches during qualifying. The Flynn Arena, Fligsive, wasn't chosen by the FMF this cycle due to major construction work taking place in the former capital, whereas the Cop Limy is mostly intact and infrastructure should hold with minimal fuss.

Formerly used to host the Leorudo National Team back when Neorudo was a fully fledged city state, the Cop Limy (named after the new order of the letters adorning the top of the entrance to the stadium) is a 96,300 seat stadium that is currently the home of Lehen Neorudo, Mertagne's first LigAnaia team. The stadium is a shadow of its former self, but is still fully capable of hosting national teams to the high standard expected from the Calanian Union. Located in the centre of the former Capital District, now known as the Docklands, the Cop Limy is easily accessible by bus, tube, and car. The stadium's former "Modern Art Section" now serves as a base of operations for the FMF, who conduct their business there while waiting for Mertagne's branch of Anaia Tower to be built.

The stadium boasts the best in electronic scoreboard technology. and while it doesn't have the history the Flynn Arena has, the FMF is hoping that fans will find it just as enjoyable to watch the beautiful game in.

The stadium's key location in the best part of the sprawling new capital of the Union makes it perfect as the centrepiece for other attractions in the area, such as the Parliament Building, and Leorduo Palace. The city's architecture is something to marvel at, as the juxtaposition of old Leorudan buildings and brand new Mertian skyscrapers make for an interesting sight. Also present in the city is the Colonisation Museum, a flotilla of boats that document Mertagne's journey from the mountains in the former Inevitable Syndicate to Touchpoint, where it stands today.

STADIUM:
Metropolitan Sports Complex, Urdu (66.000)
Image
Voley's home stadium, with its iconic checkered dome, is just a small part of this massive system of buildings, the premier sports hub of the country. Carefully labeled corridors, a system that allows internet-capable devices to point the way, a team of dedicated employees and maps at every corner help keep people from getting lost in the premises, which happens dismayingly often.

TACTICS:
3-4-3, a variant of the Daineri 4-3-3 that became popular recently. The defenders play somewhat more spread out than the typical formation of that type, with the defensive midfielders helping close the gaps (and Ivo practically being a fourth defender). As both Onze Letras and Icy Eight are talented passers, they can orchestrate quick counters from the back and get the ball to the three articulators in front, all of them fast and inventive. Only one of them moves forward when they have the ball, usually Onze.

PROS:
Good counter-attacking.
Lethal wingers.
First time Liu Keng Mau is in the team.
For that matters, first time Onze Letras is in the team as well.
Once the team gets going in midfield, they have lots of options.

CONS:
Ho-hum defenders.
Significant gap between Onze Letras/Icy Eight and Amertestu/LKM/Pocharrontas, making their possession game slower.
Lack of width in midfield, sometimes forcing the wingers to drop down a lot.
Shitty reserves in attacking positions.
Both center-forwards are sub-par.
In general, the good players are really good, but the bad players, eww.
Ether Trogg isn't a starter.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR:
Gygax - one of the best wide-backs in Dainer, he's playing a more defensive function here, but will probably rush forward as a surprise man in attack. When that happens, his headers and long range shots might just save the team.
Ether Trogg - a young prospect with a great future ahead of him, his hulking physique makes him an intimidating presence in the back, but that belies his status as a complete player, capable of defending, orchestrating and scoring.
Onze Letras - quite simply, a legend. One of the finest players Dainer has ever produced, and age doesn't seem to have an effect on his ability to command the game. He puts the ball wherever he wants, possesses a terribly accurate shot and almost supernatural vision. Korriga's UICA era conquests owe a great deal to him.
Amertestu - Youngest player ever to win a Golden Ball, she has made a decisive impact by helping Minigoleada get back to their title-winning ways. Her dribbling and venomous shots are able to pry open the tightest defences, and she revels in the attention she receives as an immediate threat to infuriate her adversaries.
Liu Keng Mau - The man. The phenomenon. LKM. The only Daineri player to get a stadium named after himself with his career still going. Winner of no less than six Emerald Boots, and countless Golden Boots across every tournament in the UICA era. He carries the goalscoring hope of this team right at the tip of his feet.

RP permissions:

Cuisine | Cacsene

The food is safe to eat, and the water is clean, as our Ministry of Health has tight regulations to ensure consumer safety when it comes to what they eat and drink. Most sit in restaurants will offer a menu based off of seafood, although beef and dairy are predominant in the southwest. Spanish cuisine, and its derivatives, are very popular along the Darmen-Valladares border. Fast-food establishments like McRonald's and Papa Pallocci's Pizza Pagoda are quite popular, and are usually located in most large cities.

For the most part, if you only plan to attend a sporting event, maybe eat at a few restraunts, and do a little sightseeing when not in your hotel room, you will not need to worry about breaking the law. If you plan on doing anything else however, or you believe something that you do regularly may be against the law, you should check ahead of time with the Ministry of Justice as to the legality of the act you may perform. Ignorance of the law is no excuse. A basic explanation of Darmeni Law can be found at the Royal Law Society's website.

Other important questions you may have
Q. How do I get a hold of the police?
A. Police stations are usually located in the center of town next to the Town Legislature. By phone, the police can be reached by simply dialing 1.

Q. And the fire department?
A. Dial 2.

Q. This guy is asking me to show him my papers. What papers?
A. Upon arrival in Darmen, all foreigners are given ID papers, which last for one week. They're pink, and have "Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration" written at the top in nice big letters.

Q. Do I have to show him my papers?
A. It depends. For the most part, the answer will be yes. If however, you have reason to believe that the person asking to see your papers doesn't have the authority to do so, ask to see their identification.

Q. My ID papers are about to expire, but I'm still planning to remain here, what do I do?
A. Contact the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, and request an extension.

Q. I'd like to move here?
A. Contact the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, who will get you started in the process to move here and become a citizen.

THE JECKISH FOOTBALL BOARD

Presents

THE JECKLAND ROSTER FOR WORLD CUP 70

Overview
After a bright start, Jeckish football has somewhat faded in recent years. Another fifth placed finish in the World Cup 69 qualifying group was disappointed as the side failed to kick on. After a group stage exit of the Runner Cup it became clear that manager Evans was under pressure from some sections of the support. A poor showing in their debut Campionato Esportiva, only making the round of 24, forced the JFB into action. Now, with new players and foreign management, can Jeckland fulfil the promise they looked to have a few years ago?

Manager

Habib Kouli | 44 years old
After Osarian club Hastmead paid big money to sign him at just 19 years of age, Kouli played for the club for seventeen years, before a two year loan to AFC Carbonia as a player/coach. Once returning from this loan he retired from playing and took up a job as Hastmead youth team coach, where he has been sucessful for several years. After Jeckland dismissed Lee Evans following a poor showing in the Campionato Esportiva, the JFB moved to capture Kouli for the next WC cycle.

Players

GK | Toby Thompson | 24 years old | #1 | Blakked Starre y'Quygge (Paradystopia)
A member of the inaugural squads for BoF55 and WC68, a lot has changed from the 20 year old third keeper of those days. After moving from floundering Ordbury Athletic to pastures new with Blakked Starre y'Quygge of Paradystopia, Thompson is now the best Jeckish shot stopper there is, and the injury of Lee Evans gives him a chance to prove his worth for the national side. His distribution is his weak area, with some critics saying he throws the ball too much.

GK | Jacob Curtis | 28 years old | #13 | Kyslo (Jeckland)
A player desrving of his chance in the side after several years of excellence at Kyslo. His loyalty is one of his best traits, having beaten back offers from bigger clubs to stay at his boyhood club. Now 28, the keeper is in his prime and as such has been called up to the main squad. His best attribute is his positioning, not only of himself but of his defence at corners and free kicks, but he is slow off the mark.

GK | Sam Henderson | 20 years old | #23 | Salvador FC (The Sarian)
Ghindon must be kicking themselves. A fallout between them and this talented young keeper resulted in them selling him at a cut price deal to Salvador FC of The Sarian. This is his first call up for the national squad, and he will be keen to show his sharp reflexes off, though his inexperience in first team football means he isn't the best decision maker at times.

RB | Joe O'Neill | 25 years old | #2 | Mortsey (Jeckland)
O'Neill rose through the ranks at Mortsey, and took on the mantle of Jeckish NT right-back from the aging Harry Pressley. Although initially seen as the best of a weak bunch, O'Neill has learnt and developed into the role, making it his own. His tackling is his strong suit, with the fact he likes to go in hard not causing many fouls or cards. He is however lacking in some of the attacking ability seen in most modern full backs.

RB | Louis Dobson | 29 years old | #17 | Colanso City (Jeckland)
You don't usually see uncapped 29 year olds given squad places, but then again you don't usually see cases like this. Dobson had the season of his life as he captained Colanso City to a remarkable title, and he has been given a national team berth as a result. He plays wing back for his club, which means he offers plenty going forward, but he may well choose to do so too often.

CB | Richard Barker (Captain) | 32 years old | #6 | Mortsey (Jeckland)
The Mortsey and Jeckland captain is still as good as ever. Having captained the national team from it's first ever game, he is a player close to the hearts of every Jeckland fan. His age is not a concern now, with no decline is his performance over the past few years, though at 32, this could well be his last cycle. He is a great organiser and wins almost every aerial ball, however he was never the quickest player and his age has not helped this.

CB | Joe Harnett | 25 years old | #5 | Mortsey (Jeckland)
The other half of what is becoming a notorious centre back pairing, Harnett credits his captain as one of the players who helped make him who he is. That being said, he is a different mould of player, part of the reason the partnership has helped with so much success for Mortsey in the past. He is excellent at distributing the ball once won, starting counter attacks more frequently than you'd expect from a centre back, but lacks aerial presence.

CB | Fraser Doyle | 27 years old | #15 | Gorgona City (The Sarian)
Been around the national squad for a good while, without ever threatening to cement a first team place. One of the many Ordbury Athletic players to jump ship after their recent poor season, he now plies his trade in The Sarian with Gorgona City. He is excellent at winning the ball in unlikely situations, however has a tendency to abandon his position and chase the ball.

CB | Joel Barton | 25 years old | #20 | Colanso City (Jeckland)
Another of the crop of Jeckish players emerging from Colanso City's season, this centre back had a stellar campaign and has earned his spot in the squad. It hasn't been an easy ride for him, having initially been released as a young player before proving his worth. His positioning is second to none, however critics say he doesn't aim to win the ball enough, instead standing off the ball.

LB | Jonathan Murray | 23 years old | #3 | Nagelti Rovers (Jeckland)
After the decline of Roman Hermanez, this exciting player has risen to the fore as his successor in the left-back position after shining in the last couple of seasons for his club, Nagelti Rovers. He will be keen to cement this place for years to come in this cycle. He has incredible pace coupled with good acceleration which make him a formidable opponent, however he is very left footed and his right does little more than prop him up.

LB | Leon Gardiner | 24 years old | #18 | Serbury (Jeckland)
A player who looks to have wasted his potential after a barren few years, but has come good of late, becoming a key figure in his club team Serbury and getting a slightly surprising call up to the national squad. He has fantastic spatial awareness, always getting into the right positions to thwart his opponents, however has a tendency to commit needless fouls and pick up cards.

RM | Carlo Henriques | 25 years old | #7 | N. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (San Jose Guayabal)
Henriques was just a promising young player when he played in the BoF. He has gone on to have an excelelnt few years, cemented his NT place, and recently procured a move to San Jose Guayabal and N. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from struggling Ordbury. Despite his age he is seen as a senior member of the squad. He is an expert at dribbling, bamboozling defenders with mazy runs. However, for a winger his crossing is quite poor.

RM | Edward Kaur | 22 years old | #12 | Ozkar Roevres (Paradystopia)
If Kaur played in pretty much any other position, he'd probably be in the Jeckland first time. Such is the impact of his season at Panbury Town, he's gone from zero to hero and landed a move to Ozkar Roevres, although he is expected to play as a right wing back there. This takes advantage of his defensive abilities. His lack of physicality could be an issue.

CM | Micah Hoonas | 27 years old | #8 | Colanso City (Jeckland)
Well well well. After a shcoking transfer to Colanso City, Hoonas inspired them to the league title. On the national stage, he's still the main man, the national team would be a lot worse off without him and moments like that thunderous drive again Blackclyffe in the BoF. Initially an attacking midfielder, Hoonas now occupies a deeper role for club and country, though he will bomb forward. His shots are incredibly powerful, although he does have a tendency to be selfish at times which can be detrimental to the team.

CM | Logan Cole | 25 years old | #4 | Nagelti Rovers (Jeckland)
Cole burst into the national team at the Runner Cup after a strong season with Nagelti Rovers, and looks difficult to dislodge from it. An early career riddled with injuries is the only reason he hasn't reached the level he has earlier on. With great ability at winning the ball of opponents by tackling or intercepting, he plays at the back of a diamond for Nagelti Rovers, but can play further forward, although it is said that he lacks creativity in his passing.

CM | Corey Fox | 25 years old | #16 | Peswick Town (Jeckland)
After a year sidelined due to a broken leg, Fox has staged a remarkable recovery. Finding his groove in the Peswick Town midfield, he is a risky call up, although in many ways not a surprising one, given that he was on the periphery of the squad before the injury. Has a great eye for a pass, short or long, however can dwell on the ball for too long and give away possession cheaply.

CM | Owen Kemp | 22 years old | #14 | Mortsey (Jeckland)
The most surprising selection of the lot, Kemp beats Bill Wilson to the spot in the squad. It's not as if he's a bad player, having had an impressive season with Mortsey to help themto second place, however this was his first season of regular JPL football. He undoubtedly has stamina and is a box to box midfielder, but his close control is one of the reasons he is doubted.

LM | Sam Roper | 22 years old | #11 | Peswick Town (Jeckland)
A lot has changed from the wonderkid who announced himself in the BoF. Roper has matured into an accomplished left winger. Although young, he has shown signs that he may be a future captain through excellent leadership qualities, and is rumoured to soon inherit the armband at club side Peswick Town. Roper is an expert at beating his man through skill or pace, but is a touchline hugger and sometimes stays there when it would be better not to.

LM | Joseph Bowen | 22 years old | #19 | Mortsey (Jeckland)
Another of the crop of young Jeckish players expected to make their international bow this cycle, Bowen broke into the Mortsey side during the latter stages of their second title winning season and has been maruding down their left side ever since. He is a pinpoint crosser, something Jeckland have lacked in the past, however his shooting leaves much to be desired.

ST | Connor Long | 29 years old | #9 | FC New Llama (Super-Llamaland)
When the nation looked short of strikers, then Ordbury Athletic man Long stepped to the forefront. Now seen as the leading striker for the national team, he was the starin a forgettable campaign for Ordbury Athletic. Newly transferred to FC New Llama, he will be looking to prove his worth. Him main asset is his blistering pace, with few able to keep up with him, although he struggles to create chances for other team members.

ST | Alexander Parry | 29 years old | #10 | Mortsey (Jeckland)
He's not getting younger, but he is getting better. Parry has been on the periphery of the national team from the BoF but impressive performances for Mortsey over the past couple of seasons mean that he can't be overlooked any longer. He suffered an injury scare but is now fully fit in time . He is seen as a team player and excels as a supporting striker, but it is said that he doesn't score enough goals for a top striker.

ST | Oliver Whitehouse | #21 | Pikemouth (Brenecia)
What a story. After never really proving himself in Jeckland, Pikemouth of Brenecia gave him a chance, which he took and then some. After impressing in the A-League, Whitehouse will return to his home country to play in the national team for the first time. A player who is very good at finishing, but can be accused of not pulling his weight in terms of defence.

ST | Alfie Barrett | 26 years old | #22 | Colanso City (Jeckland)
After failing to impress at boyhood club Mortsey, Barrett moved to Colanso City and helped fire them to the title. He has a reputation as a hothead, however his anger on the pitch seems to have been ironed out over the past year at his new club. A flamboyant player who has a lot of flair, although this can detract from his decision making at times.

Kits
After WC69, Jeckland moved from the new closed Vulpine to Kirola Sports of Audioslavia. The new kits were worn at Runner Cup 3 and CE11, but this is the first WCC tournament they will be worn in. They are expected to be used until the end of the WC72 Cycle.

Image

Tactics
(Style Mod +2)

Kouli will probably have little problem getting his methods across to the Jeckish players - as they know them already. They will press all over the pitch when not on the ball, making use of the high stamina levels that Jeckish players seem to have. The wigners, andto some extent the full backs, will be given plenty of the ball and told to run at the opposition full backs. Both centre backs will usually come forward for free kicks and corners, where Jeckland utilise their aerial threat. Central midfielders usually sit fairly deep and dictate play with passing, and strikers willl drop deep to collect that ball.

OOC: I will try to post a starting XI for every match, if I don't the default is this

Stadium

Home games will all be played ath the Jeckland National Sports Stadium, located in Rack City. The 100,00 seater stadium ma be used for many purposes, but it's primary function is hosting National Team football matches, and is always full for competitive games. It has all the state of the art facilities you would expect of a modern stadium, including a recently refurbished media hub and executive boxes.

Starblaydia's leading all-time goalscorer was thrust straight into Starblaydia's sink-or-swim Under-21 system and revitalised Starblaydia's youth set-up and mindset. After taking Starblaydia to the Final of the 2nd Runner Cup, Kochanska has finally been given the reigns of the national side. She seems to be relying on the fruits of her Under-21 side from almost a decade ago, though. If Starblaydia qualify, however, it might be the greatest decision of her life - easily it's the greatest gamble.

Goalkeepers
1. Omar Musandan, GK, 35 - Jhanna City
Omar is a master shot-stopper with a growing reputation for saving penalties.
12. Leon Vasquez , GK, 31 - Vecchio Victors
19. Javier De Marco, GK, 27 - Internashionale

Defenders
2. Finn Murphy, R/CB, 31 - Jhanna United
3. Chris Johnson, LB, 29 - Montepool Waves
5. Derek Woodcock, CB/SW, 29 - Tivoli Venassaurs (Northern Sunrise Islands)
6. Oin Hatrazarn^, C/RB, 36 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
This Dwarf is not your typical Centre Back build, Hatrazarn does at least have a great leap for those high balls. Like most Dwarves he's solid as a rock in defence, but it's his vision and playmaking from that back that really makes his game stand out.
13. Jalal Hamid, CB, 27 - Viculus Miners
14. Thomas Wilson, CB, 34 - Beverington Hawks
20. Gerhard Beraht, C/LB, 33 - Hallad Reavers

Midfielders
4. Benjamin Koenig, CB/DM, 28 - Foxchester Raiders
Although his elder sister Inga was earmarked as the main talent at the Raiders, Ben was the one with the first call-up to the national team. His versatility as a Centre Back or Defensive Midfielder is his real strength.
7. Tristan Marrones, L/DM, 27 - Avenida Leal (Farfadillis)
48 Caps, 6 Goals (8 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 level)
A descendant of Starblaydia's first female captain, Betanii Marrones, is known for his athleticism and range of passing across the park as a highly useful utility player.
8. Ffion McAllister*, A/LM, 33 - Montepool Waves
McAllilster found almost immediate fame and success in career, using her speed and positioning to continually pop up and score goals.
11. Brazadar Khurnos^, Captain, R/LM, 42 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
Khurnos retains the captaincy yet again (since WC66) thanks to his versatility, leadership and never-say-die attitude. Khurnos leads not only with his booming voice but also his unshakable heart, using his play on the field as an example to the rest of his team. Trying to challenge him on the run has been described as like tackling a cannon ball.
15. Inga Koenig*, C/AM, 31 - Widdrington Wolves
16. Christophe Rivera, LM, 29 - Internashionale
21. Lorenzo Jinalii, DM, 35 - Appleoosa HC (Equestrian States)

Record human Goalscorer Lena Kochanska

Forwards
9. Kelly Wu*, SC, 28 - Afonse Battalion (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Wu is slight and speedy, with a low centre of gravity to turn opposition defenders and bring other players into the game. Perhaps needs to learn to put the ball in the back of the net rather than try and walk it in, though.
10. Khazdar Branmar^, SC/CF, 38 - Karak Ungor Chiefs
The 'big man' of the Chiefs, Branmar's all-action style sees him as a frenetic ball of energy on the pitch. Always chasing down, always tackling back and defending corners as much as attacking them. This Dwarf certainly has a temper and, if he's not involved in the game, tends to go hunting for the ball - sometimes with mixed results. Has one hell of a good shot, too.
17. Stephen Landsberg, SC, 30 - Lylat Starfox (Northern Sunrise Islands)
Moving from the perennially unfashionable Cubs, to the much more exciting-sounding Lylat Starfox, Landsberg proved he could get the job when required even as a teenager at the World Cup. He's a very dangerous substitute to bring on, as he has the goals within him to change any game
18. Abdullah bin Rashid, SC, 28 - Hernsworth Cubs
This tall striker from the unfashionable Cubs side is looking to impress when - or if - he gets the chance.
22. Jeremy Anselm, SC, 34 - Crystopolis City (Crystal Empire)
Although often used as a target man, Jeremy can also bring others into attacking play with ease thanks to his awareness and touch.

RACAO ROSTER FOR WORLD CUP 70 >>>

GOALKEEPERS >>>
SAKOTO >>> GK (26) Sakoto is one of Racao's most experienced goalkeepers. Despite being one of the older players on Racao's team, Sakoto still possesses reflexes and wit. Sakoto, like many of the Racaoan players on this roster, grew up playing football on the streets of the slums outside Racao's major cities. Although the culture at the time encouraged goal-scorers more than goal-tenders, Sakoto quickly discovered a natural talent for goalkeeping. A scout for Soalara Strike noticed Sakoto's abilities and signed him on. He won the national championship twice with that club before moving on to a club in Port Louis, where he is today.

Hassan HIRANA >>> GK (24) Although Hassan Hirana is an up-and-coming goalkeeper, he has taken second fiddle in the Racaoan team to the more experienced Sokoto. He definitely has good shot-blocking skills, and far and by large, he is an excellent goalkeeper.

Trojana RAKOHELY >>> GK (29) Trojana Rakohely is somewhat of an old geezer on the Racaoan side. Having just barely made the team, Rakohely's skills are growing old and he no longer possesses the quick reflexes he had in his youth.

DEFENDERS >>>
Andrian RAKOTONIRINA >>> RB (27) Andrian Rakotonirina brings some experience to the defensive side of the field. He has played for several Racaoan clubs and knows his way around several strategies. His guidance will help the younger defenders when they need it.

Justin RABELOMASINA >>> RB (21) Justin Rabelomasina might be the total opposite of Chris Rakotomaharo. While Rakotomaharo specializes in large kicks, Rabelomasina specializes in short, precise passes that work nearly every single time. He helps to maintain a defensive field around the goal which almost never allows shots through. Good dribbling and pickup abilities help Rabelomasina to keep the ball away from the goal. Rabelomasina also has good concentration and will use them to complement his passing and dribbling and his fellow defenders' good attributes.

Christopher RAKOTOMAHARO >>> CB (19) One of two teenage prodigies starting on Racao's national team, Chris Rakotomaharo is a speedy defender with a tight control on the ball. His kicking abilities are legendary on the Racaoan team and feature strongly in the defensive strategy of the team. His fellow defenders act like a funnel, sending the ball towards him so he can send the ball far away from the goal. If that doesn't work, he is more than adept at dribbling, and keeping with the opportunistic Racaoan team, he makes use of his many skills to keep the ball from penetrating the goal. His versatility and quick thinking make him an asset to any team that has him.

Ciriaque RASOA >>> CB (24) Ciriaque Rasoa is a competent defender. He lacks creativity, however, and sticks to by-the-book strategies, something that doesn't fare well for Racao's current strategy.

Masibo RALAVANOA >>> LB (25)Masibo Ralavanoa is a good all-around player - he has decent stamina, decent passes, decent blocks, and decent stealing. However, the team strategy did not call for a jack-of-all-trades, and Manendry fit the bill for a left back better than Ralavanoa did.

Félix MANENDRY >>> LB (23) Félix Manendry is a solid and consistent defender. Skilled at passing and retrieval, Manendry is willing to take risks. Although he is a left back, Manendry often deviates from his assigned position, and he is also capable of playing center back. He often takes control of the ball right after the opposing team penetrates the midfield, passing it back to his teammates before they send it wide into the midfield. His defensive style is on the border between creative and by-the-book. When an opportunity arises for either situation, Manendry is not hesitant to use his skills to pick up on that opportunity. Manendry is currently with a club in Port Louis.

MIDFIELDERS >>>
MOSA >>> CM (26) CPT Mosa, Racao's most experienced midfielder, still has years left in him. Despite flagging stamina, Mosa knows how to connect with the ball. His main asset is his versatility. Whether on defense or on offense, Mosa knows the right tricks to get the ball where he wants it to go. He is a prolific scorer despite being in the midfield. Strikers Ipirina and Arivelo are often at the receiving end of his passes for a creative goal shot, and Mosa is adept at getting that perfect shot in line for them. His experience shows on the playing field. Mosa is described as eother a creative midfielder or a midfield general player, and he has the abilities to fit both profiles. Indeed, he does create many scoring opportunities for the trio of young strikers. At the other end of the stick, though, Mosa directs play in the midfield and scoops up the opponents' shots. He is a confidence booster for the younger members of the team. Mosa definitely deserves his captainship because of the wide range of abilities he possesses.

Nizar AMADA >>> LM (23) Nizar Amada just barey made the Racaoan team - he is not very accurate with passes, and he doesn't has good defense or stealing abilities. Despite these failings, overall he is a decent player, yet not decent enough for the starting squad.

Albert MANASOA >>> LM (22) Albert Manasoa is a good complement to Mena Rabalasoa on the other side of the field. Manasoa's best attribute is arguably his stealing ability. Opposing defenders will not be safe if they are in Mansoa's zone; he will find a way to send the ball to Mosa or the offensive end of the field, like teammate Rabalasoa. His stamina along the left flank also helps him to maintain a good defensive posture. Manasoa, when in his element, is virtually unstoppable.

Rado SALIM >>> CM (22)Rado Salim is on the midline between a somewhat good player and a good player. He just needs a little more development. Indeed, he is fairly competent on the defensive side of the midfield, but sometimes, he cracks under pressure. Maybe in a cycle or two he will be promoted to the starting squad.

Masibo ANDRIANAJAKA >>> CM (22) Masibo Andriananaka has the mixed blessing of sharing the center midfield with the venerable Mosa. However, his skills are up to the task. Known for his box-to-box style, Manasoa is as equally adept on the defense as he is on the offense. Extremely mobile and blessed with good stamina, Andrianajaka possesses the qualities he needs to shore up both the defensive and offensive ends of the midfield. Arguably, Andrianajaka is the best box-to-box player Racao has ever produced.

Tahiry MAHAZAKA >>> CM (25) Tahiry Mahazaka is one of Mosa's and Masibo Andrianajaka's colleagues. He is a bit older than Andrianajaka but his stamina is falling and he is not aggressive enough, or at least according to team management. He will probably be subbed in if the team needs to take a more defensive posture.

Mena RABALASOA >>> RM (25) Mena Rabalasoa is an excellent right-winger. He is a flank player who possessive great pickup abilities. These abilities, as well as his legendary speediness, serve him well near the pitch boundaries, where he can force the ball towards the center of the midfield, allowing his teammates the opportunity to set up a goal-scoring play. He has the experience and gut instinct which allows him to predict a good next move, which allows him to foresee opponents' moves and to be there before they know they will be there. All of these qualities make Rabalasoa an excellent defensive midfielder.

Vincent RAHARISON >>> RM (26) Vincent Raharison is one of the more experienced midfielders, along with Mosa. However, he never was a good as Mosa, and despite being a good midfielder, a slightly younger and faster Mena Rabalasoa took the spot.

STRIKERS >>>
Ryan ARIVELO >>> ST (19) An up-and-coming striker, Arivelo is one of the youngest starters (and, indeed, players overall) on the Racaoan national team. Currently, he is the only player from Racao to play in a foreign club, Once Municipal of San Jose Guayabal. Arivelo is known for his speed, endurance, passing, and unorthodox tactics. Indeed, he often takes risks and is rewarded with creative shots that go into the goal. He is a team player and despite his individuality, he is more than willing to work with his other teammates to score goals, even if it is at the expense of his own pride. Arivelo is on track to be one of the best players Racao has ever seen.

Pascale RAVELONAJATO >>> ST (25) Pascale Ravelonajato is a conventional striker. He is at least competent and knows what he is doing. His shots can be off target, but for the most part they are not shabby.

Aristotle IPIRINA >>> ST (21) Aristotle Ipirina is in the class of Ryan Arivelo. The two players have many similarities: both are young, risk-taking strikers. What sets Ipirina apart, however, is his shot-making ability. His risks are not in shots but in his position. Ipirina has a great mental acuity and can compute the best angles for shots while on the field (as evidenced by his name). When he gets in position, the ball almost always scores points for the Racao side. Ipirina also has the endurance to make it through a long match and the confidence to back himself up.

Mark VELONIRINA >>> ST (25)Mark Velonirina is by most conventional standards, an excellent striker. He has accuracy and power. Indeed, he led his team in Saint-Denis to the championships. However, team management decided to adopt a more risky approach rather than the stolid play Velonirina is used to.

Arman RAKOTOARISOA >>> ST (24) A fairly competent striker, Rakotoarisoa excels in accurate shots. He is a little bit slower than his peers but he does a good job with what he has. This, unfortunately, was not enough to earn him a place on the starting squad.

Silvëre RAVALOMANANA >>> ST (21) Completing Racao's trio of young strikers is Silvëre Ravalomanana. Unlike his peers Ipirina and Arivelo, though, Ravalomanana's specialty is outwitting defenders. He is extremely flexible with the ball and his dribbling and faking skills are second to none. No defender can stop his movement. After he is through all defenders, Ravalomana will either attempt a straight-up shot or pass to teammates Ipirina or Arivelo. Considering his accuracy, Ravalomanana is often the top choice to take penalty kicks. Ravalomanana also performs well under pressure, as a good striker should.

COACHING STAFF >>>
SOJA >>> Manager (35)Soja is probably one of the most-known footballers in Racao, and he is definitely a household name. A former striker and captain, Soja led the Racao national team and the Soalara Strike team until he retired from playing a few years ago. He has since turned his attention to coaching. Soja prefers to have innovative strategies rather than more conventional ones. The 3-4-3 approach that the team currently takes is his trademark style. Soja emphasizes personal fitness as well as opportunism and creativity. He is an extreme confidence booster and the players are proud to have him leading their team. He is an extremely popular coach, and inspires the team to do well. Apart from making lineup choices, Soja is also responsible for financial issues, travel, and other arrangements.

Robert JOSOA >>> Head Assistant Coach (36) Robert Josoa, another former player (a midfielder) from Soalara Strike, is responsible for more of the day-to-day activities of the team. He leads practices and ensures that the players are trained adequately before the match. He helps Soja implement general team strategy and also oversees the assistant coaches that train the goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and strikers. Josoa is also respected by the players and generally offers good tips for their improvement. He is interested in the team's welfare and will go far to ensure that they will win.

Dr. Hery TOLOLAHY >>> Medical Director (39) Hery Tololahy oversees trainers and physicians that make up the Racaoan national team. The son of the first real sports doctor in Racao, Tololahy followed in his father's path, studying at the Port Louis University and gaining admission to a prestigious program in the Kytler Peninsulae. As part of his job as the medical director, Tololahy treats injuries and takes steps to help them team avoid injuries. He also helps the team to maintain their energy and stamina and regain lost body fluids. On the side, Tololahy also runs clinics in Racao for aspiring footballers and other athletes on the importance of medicine.

STRATEGY >>>
The Racaoan strategy for this tournament will be a versatile format that aims for effective coverage of the entire field to gain possession. Racao will adopt a slightly aggressive but balanced strategy that emphasizes control of the midfield. Starting with the 3-4-3 position, the Racao team will develop the offense by tactical use of midfield plays. If a team manages to get through the midfield, the defense and goalkeeper are more than able to handle them, although a midfielder may be shunted towards the defensive end of the field in case of this scenario. However, with a strong midfield, this scenario is unlikely, but the team will be able to deal with this occasion. At the offensive end of the field, shot-making and accuracy are emphasized. If the team is behind, similar to strategy for defense, the midfield is capable of going on the offense. When this occurs, the two center midfielders will fan out towards the opponents' penalty box. This flexible approach ensures that the team is not caught off guard by offensive maneuvers and that goals can be made with relative ease.

STARTING XI >>>
Sakoto
Rakotomaharo | Manendry | Rabelomasina
Manasoa | Mosa | Andrianajaka | Rabalasoa
Arivelo | Ravalomanana | Ipirina

For starters, check latest RP. If unspecified, just do whatever you want or go for numbers 1-11.

Goal:
1. Storm Enshadilsa - GK (30/m) - Solid goalkeeper, even if his goal kicks won't reach the half way line.
12. Cláudia Macedo - GK (21/f) - Excentric and explosive. Excellent line keeper, but she has trouble with defending corner kicks and free kicks.
22. Ralph Maverick - GK (22/m) - He doesn't like to wait in goal until the strikers come for him. He also joins the passing game with the defenders.

Defensive:
4. Katanmak Juliasterinthen - CB (26/m) - Big man on the defence. About to be captain.
3. Katherine Davenport - CB (24/f) - Big woman on the defence. Good at communications, though she likes to run off to confuse the defence on the other side.
5. Timon van der Heijden - RB (29/m) - Fairly limited wing back, although his headers are world class.
13. Celine de Jong - LB (23/f) - Energetic left back. Good crosses, even better stamina.
6. Páll Ólafursson - CB (30/m) - Tank. Muscular, 200cm, the entire package.
2. Nanami Aoki - LB (26/f) - Smart, tactical defender. Small physique, but excellent pace.
14. Shi Zhang - CB (30/m) - Tends to get booked, but he's otherwise good at shutting out one specific player.
15. Jin-Sang Min - RB (19/m) - Inexperienced but talented. Quick, agile, and faster than most strikers.

Midfielders:
16. Nalaikh Bagaurunir - DM (26/m) - Great tackles... not so great passes.
7. Ceindrych Heilyn - CM (31/f) - Excellent passing rate, likes to play a high possession game. Unfortunately that's not what the Dragonflies do.
8. Henrique Nascimento - CM (24/m) - Box to box midfielder, thrives in a team that utilises the long ball.
17. Hisahito Kawano - CM (21/m) - Accurate and powerful shots. Free kicks and corner kicks are his strong point.
18. Palnatoki Idrasil - WM (33/m) - Quick winger, unpredictable and good at crosses as well as dribbling.
9. Violet Wakefield - WM (27/m) - We still don't know what she likes best: shooting or dribbling. Unfortunately she's best at crossing.
10. Esolywend Eregrent - AM (26/m) - Attacking midfielder who is also just as good on either wing. Can even play central midfielder.
19. Emeline Millet - AM (21/f) - Good at distracting defenders to create gaps for the strikers. And that's only partially because of her looks.

Attackers:
20. Audrey Leroux - ST (25/f) - Excellent poacher. Stays cool in all circumstances, good at defeating the goalkeeper one on one.
21. Anthony Sutherland - ST (23/m) - Elegant striker, good touch. Bicycle kicks galore.
11. Narantuyaa Chuluun - ST (27/f) - Heaps stronger than most defenders. Awful at dribbling, but good at finishing free kicks and corner kicks.

APOX WORLD CUP 70 ROSTER

Manager: Gavin Hughes, Aged 42
Assistant Manager: Jorge Guardia, Aged: 38
Style: -1

Spiel: Gavin Hughes hasn’t made all that many changes to the starting XI from the Campionato, mainly replacing some of the older team members, while he implements a “reserve” squad, with seven players brought in in case of injury. Ettie Seabrooke is still captain for this tournament, although you feel that may be a relatively temporary appointment, with Solomon Etezadi only growing in stature with age.
Team Record: 130-53-57

Starting XI (Sub caps in brackets)

GK: Ettie Seabrooke - Aged 33 - Image Gwinevra Barbarians - 43 (1) Caps - CAPTAIN
Ettie is not a completely permanent captain - she is more of a stand in until more naturally fitting candidates can be found, although having said that, she is a rock at the back of the pitch and is one of the best organisers of a defense around. Now probably just beginning to pass her peak, she’ll likely stand by for some of the other keepers from time to time, although when she is playing, you can count on her for a top, top performance - there’s a reason Gwinevra Barbarians have become known as a bit of a defensive force in recent years.

RD: Jack Lerryn - Aged 30 - Image Barbury Town - 47 Caps, 1 Goal
Jack Lerryn is the player who sums up Barbury’s rise perfectly. He was a youngster when they were promoted all those years ago, given faith by Ken Rickwright, and he, like the team has grown and grown in confidence. Another experienced player, his stamina in games in phenomenal, he is continually running throughout the 90 minutes, whether that be in tackling and breaking down an opposition attack, or pushing forwards to see if he can help instigate an Apoxian attack on goal. His vision and experience from the back corner of the pitch will be crucial maintaining a solid defense at the back.

CD: Solomon Etezadi - Aged 26 - Image Mâ Alâmëómë - 44 Caps, 3 Goals - VICE-CAPTAIN
Solomon Etezadi is one of the best products to come out of Issington’s impressive youth academy in the last few years. Aged 26 and in the prime of his career, he is a key player for the team. He is the rock in defense, marshalling the line, hassling the opposition forwards, there to make that crucial tackle, good in the air. With Issington’s financial troubles, he recently accepted a big money move to the biggest club in Farfadillis, to further his career, and he clearly has good leadership qualities, being named vice-captain. One of the best Apoxian prospects of recent years. He’ll go far, this one.

CD: Nicolas St Teath - Aged 27 - Image Dwile Warriors - 26 (2) Caps
Nicolas St Teath is probably the player who Exton built their rise to international competition standard around. Now at top team Dwile Warriors, St Teath learnt his craft the hard way, battling against the best in the division. Quite a quiet lad, he learns exceptionally quickly and picks up new skills convincingly. After a poor World Cup left him dropped to the sub bench for the Eagle’s Cup and Campionato, he’s back in the starting line-up, having played the best since then and also as a result of his understanding with Solomon Etezadi at the back.

LD: Ben Hatem - Aged 30 - Image Urbanista - 19 (2) Caps
Ben Hatem, now at Urbanista after a clever move from Wrexton a number of seasons ago, has finally had his patience rewarded after a number of years as Hans Nielssen’s back-up, and finds himself in the starting XI for the national team. Something of a wing-back, Hughes will be hoping to see him bring his inspired runs to the national team, and will have to hope he keeps the balance right to avoid defensive frailties as a result.

DM: Ulrika Kinlasson - Aged 22 - Image 1830 Cathair - 11 Caps
Kinlasson is another very talented young player, spending a season as the stand out player for Wrexton F.C, before moving to Audioslavian heavyweights 1830 Cathair in the LigAnaia for the last few seasons. She performed admirably there in centre defense, and was used in the defensive midfielder position in the World Cup. With the retirement of Matthias Sindelar internationally, she is being touted as the “next big thing” for the national side, having moved into defensive midfielder position domestically as well now.

RM: Alice Monteforth - Aged 29 - Image Gwinevra Barbarians - 6 Caps, 1 Goal
After being the captain of Mulhampstead, and their star player for a number of seasons, Alice Monteforth jumped ship to the slowly resurgent Gwinevra Barbarians after Mulhampstead’s relegation, and what a player she’s become as a result. A very positive player, she’ll look to get the ball forward and create opportunities, rather than pass it around the back a bit, and has finally been awarded with a starting place in the team.

CM: Armando Quillisi - Aged 30 - Image Urbanista - 48 (9) Caps, 5 Goals
Armando holds the honour of being the first son to play for the national team - his father Jon Quillisi has one sub cap to his name in the Romili Cup, alas for him the National Team came just too late. However, while Jon was a superb footballer, there is talk of his son being even better, and the current captain of Urbanista is out to prove just that. Armando is a decent free-kick taker and is very versatile in his skills, working hard not to shine all the time, but be so essential that he’s only missed when he’s not playing. The experienced man of centre midfield with Jack Moses retirement, Armando will aim to be the experienced head in the centre of the pitch, dictating the play.

LM: Kaj Aurora - Aged 24 - Image Mâ Alâmëómë - 37 Caps, 6 Goals
The Golden Girl of the current generation of Apoxian footballers. She made her debut aged just 18 with the national team, the second youngest player to do so (only Will Fich was younger). Since then she has moved to Farfadillis where she has impressed greatly, gaining a move to top club Mâ Alâmëómë. Her pace and stamina down the wing are to her credit and despite being quite a diminutive player, she has great strength on the ball, making her skills as a winger all the more important.

ST: Tolgus Tregajorran - Aged 31 - Image Dwile Warriors - 65 (4) Caps, 38 Goals
Tolgus Tregajorran is the team’s star striker, following in the lines of such famous names as Dravid Scott, Chris Maarsden and Keri Ularu. And yet, Tregajorran could surpass them all. On 38 goals, he’s closing in on Dravid Scott’s goalscoring mark, and Tregajorran has got years ahead of him in the national side. He is the all round striker, and could challenge any other for a place as the best striker in the multiverse, even though age is beginning to catch up with him. He’ll still score goals, and plenty of them.

ST: Adnan Zozula - Aged 24 - Image East Franz Athletic - 15 (2) Caps, 4 Goals
After bursting onto the scene in the ANL, much like Tolgus Tregajorran a number of years before him, Adnan has opted to go international, heading to Polarian team East Franz Athletic, where he aims to emulate Jack Moses and have a very successful stint in arguably the toughest league in the multiverse. Short and stocky, he has good pace and a nice touch, as well as a vicious right boot, which is where he powers home most of his goals from. He could be a very successful player for the team indeed and he seems to have phased out fellow Polarian based player Martin Roskorwell in the starting line-up for now.

Reserves
GK: John Lockwood - Aged 29 - Image Urbanista - 12 Caps
John Lockwood is the second goalie, after biding his time patiently behind Joe Frost for many years. Lockwood has improved, and having now been through a tough season with Urbanista three years ago, has become more impressive as a result. However, he has been known to make the odd rash mistake when in goal, and that is why Ettie Seabrooke is currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

GK: Alan Eustathios - Aged 25 - Image Barbury Town - 2 (1) Caps
Alan Eustathios has performed excellently, joining the first team just as Barbury Town were beginning their rise from UICA hopefuls to title winning mega squad. It is hard to believe Alan is still so young, after how well he’s performed with Barbury in recent years. However, this domestic success should help him out in international competitions, and with the addition of Eustathios to the squad, Apox have a frighteningly good set of goalkeepers to choose from now.

CD: Isner - Aged 31 - Image Bastion - 31 (5) Caps, 2 Goals
Half Sunrisian, Isner is a tough rugged defender, sometimes aggressive, sometimes a little wild. After Nicolas St Teath’s poor World Cup performance, Isner was afforded a spot in the starting line-up for the Campionato, but he didn’t look all that formidable, which is why he has dropped down to the bench, which is probably where he’ll stay for the rest of his international career.

ST: Corinna McKenna - Aged 24 - Image FC Brimstone - 3 (1) Caps, 1 Goal
While Corinna is nominally the “fourth” striker of the squad, that’s not to say she won’t receive playing time, having outscored every other Apoxian player in the division, even Tregajorran, last ANL season, having scored the magic 20 goals required to know a player is top quality. Fast and dynamic, and with a very pressing style of play, Corinna is the sort of player who will make you make a mistake on the ball, before pouncing on said mistake to take advantage of your poor position.

ST: Martin Roskorwell - Aged 30 - Image SK Aasiaat Harbour - 30 (2) Caps, 9 Goals
Martin Roskorwell is a player at his peak - lighting up Divisjon 1 in the few seasons he’s been there since moving from Exton F.C, a club he helped to improve massively from relegation fighters to UICA contenders. Roskorwell is the classic striker, tall, lanky, good in the air, and although he had to wait to have his chance to shine, waiting behind Tregajorran for years, he recently grabbed a spot for himself in the starting line-up. However, he’s back to waiting, with the young Adnan Zozula, now playing in the same league as himself, being given a spot in the first XI for the time being.

RD: Eneko Treloquithack - Aged 25 - Image Dwile Warriors - 5 (1) Caps, 1 Goal
Eneko Treloquithack has had a varied career thus far, breaking into the first team at Urbanista Trojans, going out on loan to the Licentian Isles, converting to right back from his original position of left back. Now, with a big money transfer to Dwile Warriors, the biggest club in Apox, his career is really taking off. He is a unique player, and his style is difficult to describe. He will occasionally forget that he is a defender and go on something of a rampage up the pitch. He could be exceptionally good, but first he must learn to control himself and commit to defending. Although as an attacker he isn’t bad, his wonder-goal on debut against Paradystopia is proof of this.

CM: Luxulya St. Cleer - Aged 24 - Image Crisisbless - 3 (1) Caps, 1 Goal
Another player to have moved away from Apox to find greater success, she impressed with Wrexton F.C for a couple of seasons, being the stand out player in their successful promotion back to the ANL. Snapped up by Crisisbless, she is a very versatile player, and while being put down nominally as a centre midfielder, she is also competent when playing on the right and in a move defensive position. She has got good vision, akin to Matthias Sindelar in a number of ways, and this willingness to take risks and push the opposition makes her quite an attractive proposition.

LD: Max Viking - Aged 26 - Image Issington F.C - 1 Caps
Max Viking has slowly progressed his career at Issington F.C, and has turned into something of a stalwart on the left side of the pitch of the last few years. However, his is probably the most eye raising inclusion in the squad, and just goes to show the lack of depth in his position. While he is unlikely to get much game time in the competition, it will be interesting to see how he copes on the pitch when he replaces Ben Hatem on the field.

RM: Marcus Redwood - Aged 32 - Image FC Endeavour - 30 Caps, 2 Goals
Dropping to the bench for this cup to lower the average age of the first XI, Redwood is a good leadership figure, being captain of his club side, FC Endeavour. He is not the fastest winger in the world, especially now that he’s ageing, but he makes up for it with his good skills, the ball often times appears glued to his feet. He is also known for making good runs in field, before offloading to someone, giving them a good chance of scoring due to dragging the defense out of position.

CD: Olim Shahzad - Aged 23 - Image Exton F.C - 3 Caps
Olim Shahzad is a bright young prospect at Exton F.C, and much is rested on his shoulders. He is quite a physical specimen, and isn’t afraid to take the hit for the team in his defending when required. He hasn’t been able to get much game time recently, however, with Gavin Hughes ringing in the changes somewhat for this Campionato, he’s chances of featuring are looking better.

CM: Zana Ibrox - Aged 21 - Image FC Endeavour - 2 Caps, 1 Goal
Zana has been a big talent at Endeavour for a while now, and she’s finally got into the starting line-up at the club, being one of the first big youth prospects to make the leap into the team. Incredibly competitive, and with a driving playing style, Zana is definitely billed under the “Super-Sub” position at the moment, as if she comes on, she will make an impact. However, that’s not to say she won’t make an impact if she starts a game - just don’t count on her being able to finish each game.

LM: Joss Wickaninnish - Aged 21 - Image Issington F.C - Uncapped
Something of a left field choice in this roster, Joss is replacing Jesper Lee Coleman in the squad, having had a good first season with Issington F.C, having made the move from Urbanista Trojans, the third player in this squad who started at that club. Joss is an unorthodox player, to put it lightly. His skills are likely unmatched in the squad, and he uses this to his advantage. He is also completely unpredictable - he is just as likely to attempt to shoot from distance or an impossible angle as he is to deck an opposing player for no reason. A mercurial figure, on his day a world beater. All that he needs is for those days to become more numerable.

CM: Wifried Lidgley - Aged 29 - Image 1830 Cathair - 6 Caps
Lidgley continues in the squad after a number of successful seasons in the LigAnaia, the man they call, “The Lidge”, continuing to tear up the league with 1830 Cathair. It is a high point in his story, discarded by Gwinevra Barbarians a number of seasons ago now, struggling to find a place in the ANL, he appears to have finally settled somewhere. Unfortunately, his electric club form hasn’t quite transferred to international level, and he sits on the bench this time as a result.

LM: Jesper Lee Coleman - Age 24 - Image Gwinevra Barbarians - 6 (1) Caps
Another exciting player for the future, Jesper Lee Coleman has had a good couple of seasons with Gwinevra Barbarians as the team slowly rebuilds to launch another sustained assault on the top of the ANL. He probably won’t get many minutes though, as Kaj Aurora is the starter in his position, and she is the same age and the better player (though both have played for Gwinevra Barbarians.)

LD: James Fowey - Aged 20 - Image Uxminster Athletic - Uncapped
One of the more suprising call-ups to the “reserve squad”, Fowey only has one season of ANL football behind him, and two of first team football. However, his vision, ability to adapt and improvisation mark him out as a serious talent for the future, and he’s definitely been attracting attention from bigger clubs than small time Uxminster Athletic, which was, incidentally, the club where Tolgus Tregajorran emerged to prominence from.

CM: Jack Demir - Aged 29 - Image FC Brimstone - 3 (2) Caps
Jack Demir has had a couple of years in the international wilderness - after moving to the Licentian Isles which launched his international career, the collapsing of that nations football league coincided with his own international career going to pot. However, he’s since moved back to his hometown club, FC Brimstone, and after a good couple of seasons there, he’s back in contention, even if it means he’s unlikely to make it to the World Cup or Cup of Harmony.

ST: Maximillion the Codger - Aged 30 - Image Viztourzys Kolektyvinis - Uncapped
Max is incredibly unlucky. Originally Old Guardian in nationality, he broke into the starting line-up of their national team just as Old Guard collapsed, leaving him without national team. Despite a number of successful seasons with St. George’s Creek, regularly scoring around 15 goals a season with his powerful head and accurate boot, he was thwarted in making it into the Apox National side as a result of some strong performers ahead of him in the pecking order. He recently transferred to Buyanese top side Viztourzys, and is part of the “reserve” squad for the World Cup, so things are going well for him.

RD: Odar Storbrittania - Aged 24 - Image Gwinevra Barbarians - Uncapped
Odar Storbrittania is another piece of Gwinevra Barbarians formidable defense, having transferred from Oldem Gents Club. He seamlessly fitted into the team, and it is clear that this is his level now. A rock in defense, he is perhaps the most conservative right defender in the squad, perhaps useful if an extra person is required in defense, operating as less of a wing back than Eneko Treloquithack, for example.

GK: Halyos Anaximander - Aged 21 - Image Dwile Warriors - Uncapped
Halyos is a very exciting youth prospect, currently sitting on the bench at Dwile until Kieron Riordan retires. He is more of a rush goalie, with lightning quick reactions he is able to pull off an array of stops all over his goal area, although perhaps a little rash to make decisions, sometimes running out of goal and leaving himself stranded.

Team Cosumar - World Cup 70

Image

Team Information

Nation: The Fiefdom of Cosumar

Government: Cosumar is technically a Fiefdom, which means Cosumar is comprised of 21 historical "fiefs" which are now effectively provinces. Cosumar is a constitutional monarchy and believes wholeheartedly in complete civil rights, protecting nature and exploring outer space.

Region: Atlantian Oceania

Official Nickname: Dragons

Colors: Royal Blue, Silver, White

Stadium: Leviathan Arena (capacity 99,114)

Location: Kaldukosic, Cosumar

Image

History: World Cup 70 marks Cosumar's 20th consecutive appearance in the World Cup! That makes this something of an anniversary for the Dragons. A long time has passed since our debut it WC51. Cosumar qualified for nine consecutive Cups (54-62) in its "golden age" of football, but has not qualified since then despite coming very close in recent years. Cosumar's best finishes were trips to the Round of 16 in World Cups 56-59, including one quarterfinals appearance. After World Cup 59, Cosumar reached its peak ranking of #7 in the world. Our national team endured a gradual decline through the following decade or so, but seems to be on the rise again. There is a growing sense of optimism around WC70 after strong performances in the past two Cup of Harmony tournaments.

Team: The roster consists of 24 players, 23 of which are human. The remaining player (midfielder Vareza Na'Noni) is of the Vloo people (species homo cosumarensis), a humanoid race native to Cosumar. Please note that the Vloo, though not human, have no considerable physical advantage over human players. The average Vloo is about two inches taller than the average human, and they must wear different cleats due to their unique foot structure. Vloo are roughly equivalent to humans in terms of strength and speed, but have a blue taint to their skin and two small, dull horns on the top of their head. Most Vloo's horns are mostly covered by their thick, black hair. This is the first time there has only been one Vloo player on the team. This Cosumarite team features an emphasis on surgically-precise passing and technical possession football. There is a good balance of experienced veterans and new young talents. Manager Farris Crowley is continuing the new formation introduced in the Cup of Harmony (4-2-3-1), moving on from the heavily-criticized 4-2-4 that struggled to retain possession in WC68.

Kit

AWAY

This will be the World Cup debut for Cosumar's new kit, prepared for the team by Meski Soccer & Sports Store of Red Blackiland. The design has been applauded by the public and media alike for featuring a brilliant and refreshingly modern aesthetic while still staying true to the spirit of the beloved old kits that served the team from World Cup 54 to 69. The home and away kits make heavy use of the national colours (blue, white, silver), team badge, and the majestic Azure Dragon that Cosumar is famous for. The keeper's uniform is gold and green - the royal family's colours.

The Starting XI

Goalkeeper - Tomi Koskinen - 33 - Image Ramusok United Image
Tomi Koskinen has served Cosumar so well for so long that it seems like an eternity ago that someone else defended the Dragons' net. But alas, it was about 17 years ago that Koskinen emerged as one of the best young stars in Cosumar. At only 16 years old, he dominated Cosumar's collegiate league by allowing an average of 0.4 goals per game. At age 18, he shocked pundits by locking up the starting spot on the Cosumarite National Team. He hasn't looked back - serving as an anchor of consistency for the Dragons for over a decade and several World Cups. Still in his prime, Koskinen is known for his exceptional instincts and reflexes, often denying goals with extraordinary feats of athleticism and anticipation. He plays his club football with Ramusok United of Cosumar's Harlighet Ligan.

Left Back - Jukka Lindroos - 23 - Marine Coast United Image
Lindroos is the not just one of the best young defenders in Cosumar - but in all of Atlantian Oceania. In Cosumar, he was the best player on a dominant defense that carried Centus Serpents to a promotion, allowing only 7 goals all season. He was also Cosumar's most consistent starting defender in World Cup 69 and the Cup of Harmony. His brilliance on the world stage caught the eyes of the V-League and he eventually left Cosumar to play for storied club Marine Coast United of Vilita. Still only 23 years old, Lindroos is a huge linchpin to the Dragons' future success. His boyish face and long, golden locks have charmed the media but do not be fooled - he is a ruthless player on the pitch. He is extremely skilled and can make world-class stops in the back against the best of opponents. Brings a jolt of energy whenever he steps on the field.

Center Back - Kirum Mortonsson - 28 - Image Ramusok United Image
Dashing model/footballer Mortonsson recently completed his fourth season with Harlighet Ligan stalwarts Ramusok United. He and teammate Tomi Koskinen were part of a formidable defensive machine that shut down even the league's top attacking teams. Manager Farris Crowley is hoping that pairing the two on the National Team will achieve similar success again. WC69 was Mortonsson's third World Cup, but first as starting Center Back. He had a few costly mistakes, but overall, his performance was strong enough to reprise the role. Though his biggest fans are often teenage girls (and as such, he is jokingly heckled by the sports media), he is supremely athletic and finds ways to make big stops when the team needs it the most. He can be hotheaded at times and make poor decisions resulting in yellow or red cards.

Center Back - Jon-Perohlin Nodtveit - 27 - Image OAS Royal FC Image
If there was ever an enigmatic and controversial footballer, it's Nodtveit. He is bald-headed but bears a thick black beard. Off the pitch he is almost always gruff and silent, hardly uttering more than a word or two in interviews. He is known to be a member of the Luciferian Satanist Order and was a suspect in a well-publicized murder case three years ago (though he was ultimately found not guilty due to lack of evidence). Some despise him, but even more Cosumarites love his dark & dangerous allure. Though divisive off the pitch, he is universally recognized for his value on the pitch. When the match begins, everyone watching him forgets all that other stuff about him - that's how good he is. Nodtveit is the Dragons' "hard man", a defensive enforcer and ruthless tackler. Though he is not particularly skilled with the ball or particularly fast, he plays his role well. After serving as a reserve for the past two World Cups, he finally has his chance to shine on the world's biggest stage.

Right Back - Tae Woo Miyori - 31 - Blau-Weiss Pallstadt Image
Miyori possesses outstanding speed, quickness and ability to play both sides of the ball. He is also known as a phenomenal passer of great vision. Miyori had a spectacular debut as a youngster in World Cup 67, and fully embraced the limelight in World Cups 68 & 69. He is considered by many to be the heir to the likes of William Riley and Alexander Pearce as Cosumar's premiere defenseman. Miyori spent most of his club career with Klyde FC of the Harlighet Ligan, guiding them to their first League Championship. He now plays in the Buyanese Top League after signing a lucrative contract with Blau-Weiss Pallstadt over the transfer window, and has been a key player for the Craftsmen this season. He likes to drift quite far forward and be utilized as part of the attack, much moreso than most right backs.

Defensive Midfielder - Vareza Na'Noni - 26 - Image Red Star Severny Image
The sole Vloo representative at this World Cup, Na'Noni can play almost any position due to his ability to read the game, strong ball skills, and imposing physique (tall, muscular, fast). He made a name for himself as a Right Back for Cosumar's U-21 team, which catapulted him into the Harlighet Ligan, where he converted to midfielder with FC Samotath. After a sustained period of success there, Na'Noni solidified himself on the international scene with his brilliance in World Cup 69. He then moved to Red Star Severny of Polar Islandstates, making him one of the few Cosumarite currently in one of the world's elite leagues. Playing at Severny has facilitated even more improvement for the talented Vloo. His strong presence will be critical for Cosumar's success this year. Na'Noni is known for his tattoos, including detailed patterns of constellations across his arms, a roaring dragon on his neck, and an elaborate sunset on his forehead.

Defensive Midfielder - Felix Merchison - 25 - Viztourzys Kolektyvinis Image
For a 25 year old who has never played in the World Cup before, Merchison already has an impressive football pedigree. At age 21, he was already starting and winning league championships with Mallox in Cosumar. Now he's excelling as a starter for Viztourzys Kolektyvinis in Buyan. But somehow, he flew under the radar of the National Team. He finally received his first call-up a year ago to represent Cosumar in the Olympic Games. He played well, but was left off the AOCAF squad a few months later. But now it seems Farris Crowley and his staff have finally realized how good this guy is. He made the most of his invite to training camp and ended up displacing Dean Harold McSaunders in the starting lineup. For a DM, he is above average on the ball. A very physical defender, embraces the dirty work. A very good pure athlete. Has a penchant for dropping in the perfect deep ball behind the defense.

Left Attacking Midfielder - Anders Engström - 22 - Image Mallox FC Image
A young superstar who is one of the most dangerous weapons on the team. He was made for the limelight and his time is here. Has become the poster-boy for Cosumarite football. His natural position is as a forward, but in Crowley's 4-2-3-1 he works best plugged in as an aggressive attacking midfielder. Engström led Stoneshore College to a collegiate championship four years ago and then signed a big fat paycheck with Mallox FC, where he has shined as their leading goal scorer for the last three seasons. Engstrom was also voted the MVP of the Harlighet Ligan this year after scoring a league-high 24 goals. A precise deliverer in set-pieces and from the flanks, Engström will be instrumental in setting up Cosumar for goal-scoring chances when he's not putting it in the net himself. He scored 9 goals in the WC69 cycle, sharing the team lead with Sur Arora.

Center Attacking Midfielder - Paaron Petrov - 31 - Fadron Flight Image
A citizen-by-birth of Cosumarite extraterrestrial colony Fevelo. Because of his close ties on Fevelo, Petrov insisted on playing his professional soccer there for the majority of his career. Though Fevelo's level of play is inferior to Cosumar's, he absolutely dominated in Fevelo even at the young age of 16. In World Cup 68, he was able to bypass several top Cosumarite midfielders to make the squad of the National Team, even stealing the starting spot of longtime staple Giovanni Aldinne. Though his selection was heavily criticized at the time, Petrov made Crowley look awfully smart when he blossomed one of the Dragons' most consistent players. Feisty and resourceful, and a devastatingly accurate passer, Petrov is an asset when it comes to setting up the big play. He is also a threat to score from long distances, as he gets great movement on the ball and is able to keep it down. Petrov is a formidable box-to-box midfielder who is a ruthless tackler. He had a fantastic qualifying campaign in WC69, netting six goals and six assists. He also finally cashed in on his success over the transfer window, joining the Fadron Flight of Taeshan.

Right Attacking Midfielder - Ace Newman - 23 - Image Cassandra City Image
Ace Newman is an exciting young talent who got his first international caps in the Olympics and AOCAF. Now, he is ready for his first World Cup. He was the second-leading goalscorer in Cosumar last season, netting 22 for Cassandra City in a campaign that landed them in the Globe Cup. Newman is inexperienced, but he literally overflowing with potential. He had some brilliant moments in the AOCAF but also disappeared at times. This WC will be a good test for him. Hopefully, this experience will mold him into a world class player like it did for Anders Engstrom. Like Engström, Newman's natural position is forward, but will primarily play as an aggressive midfielder/winger in Crowley's system.

Center Forward - Sur Arora - 32 - Image OAS Royal FC Image - CAPTAIN
Arora is Cosumar's world-class superstar goal scorer. He has been the very best at every level of Cosumarite football he's played in, from U-18 to Collegiate to the FSF to the World Cup. A true bastion of excellence. He is the leading goal-scorer for Cosumar's most famous club team OAS Royal FC, which has made several Champions Cup appearances with him. He genuinely loves the game and has been described by coaches as being "one of the hardest workers they ever coached". He is so noticeably fluid in his motions, acceleration and ball control that it's almost scary. Arora was one of the leading goal-scorers in the entire World Cup 67, 68 AND 69 Qualifying fields, the first time the Dragons have had a true go-to attacking weapon since the retirement of all-time leading goal scorer Rikki Varshney. He broke his leg at the end of WC69 Qualifying in gruesome fashion. After a long rehabilitation and re-acclimation process, Arora is finally back to the where he was before the injury - at the top of his game. He will put Cosumar on his back once again and attempt to lead this team to the World Cup Finals.

The Substitutes

Goalkeepers

GK - Jakk Winterfyll - 21 - Image Crawford City FC Image
Winterfyll is clearly the goalkeeper of the future for Cosumar - it's not even disputed. He just turned 21 and he's already the best Cosumarite goalie not named Tomi Koskinen. He still has a lot to learn about the finer points of the game, but the instincts and physical tools are all there. He recently gained some valuable experience in the AOCAF and Globe Cup, and allowed less than one goal per game for Harlighet Ligan side Crawford City FC this season. Watching the multiverse's cream-of-the-crop go at it in WC70 will go a long way towards Crowley's mission of grooming him to eventually replace Koskinen.

GK - Robert Sieuwerd - 28 - Image Real Azuris Image
Robert broke out as one of the best goalkeepers in the Harlighet Ligan over the last three seasons with Real Azuris. With his steady hand guarding the net, the Breakers have won two consecutive League Championships and Champions Cup berths. He's a bit more ordinary than Koskinen and Winterfyll, but he's a solid reserve and can be relied upon to do a fine job if necessary. This is his first call-up to the National Team.

Defenders

LB - Maynard Gorham - 22 - Peswick Town Image
Former Cosumar U21 player that competed in the 32nd Di Bradini Cup. World Cup 70 will be his first appearance with the senior NT. A strong, young left back who has IQ beyond his years and should have no problem subbing in occasionally and immediately competing at a high level. Excellent tackler. Spent a few seasons with Dusk Athletic in the Cosumarite second division before catching the eye of Jeckish club Peswick Town. Off the pitch, he is a dark, mysterious figure. Long black hair, which he ties up during matches.

CB - Abdiel Assad - 33 - Image Eastweald Image
Hailing from a poverty-stricken community in the rugged, mountainous land of southeast Cosumar (where soccer is practically nonexistent), Assad defied all odds to emerge as one of Cosumar's finest defenders and has helped expand the sport to this region, which traditionally disavows competitive sport. Ten years ago, he had a breakout season with Eastweald to help them recapture their former glory and qualify for the TakilQuip Champions Cup. He has remained with Eastweald ever since, showing loyalty to his club - something of a rarity these days. He has established himself as one of the Harlighet Ligan's most prominent stars, and is known as a true "nice guy" and class act. Assad is not exceptional at any one thing, but has no weaknesses either - a reliable jack-of-all-trades. He was also the first man of Arab descent to play on the Cosumarite national team. This will be Assad's first World Cup as a substitute rather than a starter, since he has started slowing a bit with age in the last year or two.

CB - Arndu Farsgaard - 29 - Image Cazadores Cathair Image
After impressing Crowley with his work ethic in his first international caps in the AOCAF, Farsgaard will return and play in his first World Cup. Originally a hockey player with no interest in a "sissy sport" like soccer, he didn't even discover his talent for the game until age 24, after failing in his hockey career. He took to the sport quickly, rapidly moving up the ranks of the FSF after starting with a local semi-professional team. By the time he was 27, he was starting at center back for Sekundar Ligan regulars Keenan Athletic. Last year, he got snatched up by Audioslavian club Cazadores Cathair. Just think...just five years ago he was on the street after being cut from a minor league hockey team. Now he's suiting up for the Cosumar National Soccer Team. Crazy. Whether he has reached his ceiling or will continue his meteoric rise remains to be seen and likely depends on if he can make an impact in Audioslavia.

RB - Sheldon Serra - 21 - Zenit Attawapiskat Image
Serra has the distinction of being born and living the first eight years of his life on a spaceship of neutral nationality. After returning to the planet and living in Indigo Plains, Serra found his land legs surprisingly quickly and discovered a natural talent for football. Because Indigo Plains does not have professional football, Serra attended university in Cosumar and is eligible for our team because his mother was a Cosumarite citizen. He was the Defensive MVP of Cosumar's collegiate league three years ago, before signing with Zenit Attawapiskat of The Royal Kingdom of Quebec. Though small in stature, this shaggy blonde youngster has incredibly rare natural ability. With experience and hard work, he could be a star at any position in the future. For this World Cup he will primarily sub in for Miyori at right back. Due to his speed and ability to play both sides of the ball, Crowley clearly sees him as the eventual replacement for the unique skill set of Tae Woo Miyori.

Midfielders

DM - Dean Harold McSaunders - 29 - Vijallu Image
Since breaking out as a star with FC Kaldukosic four years ago, McSaunders has maintained his great play, earning recognition as one of the Fiefdom's most well-rounded midfielders in this generation. He can play any midfield position (he was a substitute as Central Midfielder in WC68), though he fits best as a Defensive Midfielder in this new 4-2-3-1 regime. He started at defensive midfielder in World Cup 69, but a shaky body of work in that tournament has landed him on the bench for WC70 with youngster Felix Merchison getting a crack at the Starting Eleven instead. Will likely be a frequent sub-in. Despite middle-of-the-road speed/strength, and average ball skills, McSaunders is simply a winner, frequently finding creative ways to outwit and outmaneuver supposedly superior opponents. He just has some sort of unidentifiable "it" factor.

DM - Timo Sorben - 23 - West Bay Image
This will be Sorben's first appearance on the senior National Team. He was something of a surprise selection because many anticipated this spot being filled by the more experienced Eido Noldor, who started in World Cup 69 and the recent AOCAF. He must've done something to really impress Farris Crowley to knock Noldor off the squad. Sorben was an unheralded prospect coming out of the collegiate league from a small school. But in just three seasons in the FSF, with some U-21 experience in between, he steadily improved his game was rewarded with a big payday to play for West Bay of Barunia. He is not the most athletic player, but he has a keen understanding of the game and always gives 100% effort.

CAM - Giovanni Aldinne - 34 - Image Real Azuris Image
Aldinne debuted in the FSF ten seasons ago with up-and-coming club Real Azuris. In the last decade he has helped Real Azuris climb the ranks of the Cosumarite football ladder, culminating with their back to back League Championships the last two years. Aldinne, like his cousin Francois Renault, was a much-hyped young prospect that has met all expectations and helped spearhead that generation of Cosumarite footballers, helping lead the nation into something of a Renaissance in the sport. He was shockingly dropped from the starting XI in World Cup 69, but handled the situation with dignity and was an impact substitute. He still has what it takes to be effective at this level, albeit for limited durations of time. Aldinne is noted for his extraordinary intelligence (maximum score on a soccer IQ test) and speed. He brings invaluable experience to the Dragons' midfield and will share playing time with Petrov as the center attacking midfielder. He can also play as a defensive midfielder if needed.

RAM - Francois Renault - 33 - Molsbik Arkjet Image
Renault was the face of Harlighet Ligan club Cassandra City for eight seasons, leading them to several Globe Cups. With young stars like Ace Newman and Tevin Lilley ready to take up the mantle at Cassandra, he decided to begin a new adventure, joining Molsbik Arkjet of Semarland. Renault has done so much for Cosumarite football, including captaining the Cup of Harmony 61 team after Sur Arora broke his leg, and leading the Dragons in assists over the last three World Cups. The man headlined the WC67/68 generation that saw Cosumar start to re-establish its international presence, and he has aged like fine wine. At 33, Renault is still a valuable veteran presence and team leader for Cosumar. He's still savvy around the goal and has enough left in the tank to be a starter. Renault was known for his lethal combination of speed and brute strength, but with age he's had to replace his speed with creativity and technique.

LAM - Petri Hansen - 27 - Sieberg Image
Hansen is a well-known around Cosumar as a flashy attack-minded midfielder who has never quite lived up to his immense potential. Producing goals is what he does, and he does it well. After his well-publicized success as Captain of Cosumar's U-18 team a decade ago, Hansen joined Mallox but was sort of forgotten there. His talent was squandered for a few years because he was stuck behind players like Engstrom and Jimmy Kelly. In the last transfer window, he finally got his well-deserved fresh start with Sieberg of Felix. His talent and blistering pace earned him a spot on the team in WC 70, but he probably won't play much.

Forwards

CF - Sergio Vilar - 26 - Levadia Narkiv Image
Vilar was a breakout star a few seasons ago for Sekundar Ligan side Olask Islanders. The Islanders had been on the brink of relegation for several seasons running, but a historic 30-goal season from Vilar rocketed them to the top half of the table for the first time in almost three decades. Vilar has since moved to Levadia Narkiv of Estenia and seems to be tearing it up there. Though Sur Arora is clearly still the king when it comes to Cosumarite goal-scorers, Vilar's role on the team is growing. He started in place of Arora in the Cup of Harmony and AOCAF due to Arora's broken leg. Vilar clearly has a ton of skill (the ball is basically tied to his sock!) and is passionate about the game - a man possessed on the pitch. But he also struggles against elite competition due to his relative lack of top-level experience. How big of a role he plays in WC70 likely depends on Arora's health and stamina.

CF - Ipier Ubuntu - 28 - Image Real Azuris Image
Ipier is something of a hero in Cosumar because he has established himself as one of the Harlighet Ligan's most lethal finishers despite being born mute. He had to overcome ableist prejudices early in his career. He has always been an underrated player but finally started getting national and even regional attention with his success with Real Azuris, clearly the best club in Cosumar at the moment. He scored over 20 goals again this season, earning him a chance to travel with the team to WC 70 for his first international appearances. He won't see much action, but it's an honor for him just to be here. He is distinguished on the field by his extremely powerful leg (and his corn rows haircut). He gets a lot of pace on the ball and is not afraid to launch a few long-range screamers.

Staff

Manager: Farris Crowley
After a phenomenal debut as Manager in World Cup 54, and an even more impressive efforts in World Cups 56-59, Farris Crowley will return to lead the Dragons towards greatness once again in World Cup 70. The seemingly immortal manager was once a somewhat successful player in Cosumar's domestic league many years ago and has since taken to coaching. His goal is absolute: bring glory to Cosumar through victory on the pitch. He is currently 74 years of age and has a very stoic personality most of the time. Despite being the one who took Cosumar to new heights and qualified us for nine consecutive World Cups, there is a rumor that he is on the hot seat due to the unsettlingly early exits in the last few World Cups. And with his health starting to finally show signs of deterioration, pundits are questioning his capacity to lead the team for much longer. This World Cup might just be his last.

Assistant Manager: Kennedy Kopenhaver
This is Kopenhaver's first appearance as Assistant Manager for the National Team, replacing Truda Jotunnoj, who retired. Kopenhaver, 49, was once a terrific center back for the Cosumar National Team in World Cups 55-57. He was infamous in Cosumar for being one of the most passionate and fiery players ever to step on a pitch. He would stop at nothing to win, even if it meant angrily telling his teammates what's what or getting himself a card. After retiring from his playing career, Kopenhaver attempted a broadcasting career but was not happy - it was too far removed from the action! He then took to coaching, and has spent the last six years as an assistant to Alvin Burnsides, Manager of Mallox FC, the most successful club in Cosumar's Harlighet Ligan. Kopenhaver feels he has learned a lot from his time there and is ready to be a Manager himself. After being skipped over for the managerial vacancy at Miners 47 in Apox, he jumped on the chance to work for Farris Crowley with the National Team. Kopenhaver should bring a lot of passion and youthful energy to a team that Crowley and Jotunnoj hadn't been able to provide. He is a rare man - physically imposing yet keenly intelligent. Deceptively clever and excels at game strategy.

Goalkeepers Coach: Luis Varezzi

Defenders Coach: Artis Thomas

Midfielders Coach: Irvinn Rincon

Forwards Coach: Guiseke Seto

Head Trainer: Yvette Carson

Manager
Taurnordómthon Undovir
Age: 1784
Undovir is an attacking mastermind that has held the helm of Mar Sara FC through the lows and highs of the past few years. A steady and reasonable manager, he is able to get along with any and all types of players, as long as they adhere to his tactics and work hard in training.

Assistant Manager
Vanauraiiel Nardironel (F)
Age: 1296
Nardironel is a small and quirky woman who is very unassuming, until you get to the training pitch, where she will run you ragged and then when you feel your body collapsing, run you even more ragged until you are in the ultimate peak condition you can be.

Keeper

1 Aediron Galadirdren, Ibini FC
Age - 675
Sex - M
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 174 lbs
Galadirdren looks to be the long term solution for the Marauders in net after several stellar seasons in the domestic scene with Ibini FC. While not loud and "in control" of his box, the keeper is very good when the opposition has a breakaway, as well as some amazing reflexes. His best attribute though is his near perfect position, always seeming to know where the opposition is going to place their shots or crosses.

Defenders

2 Vanacauion Haelinde, Raynor City United
Age - 685
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 168 lbs
A versatile defender who is quick for his size and good with his feet. Can be an attacking threat not only on set piece situations but also deliver good through balls and crosses when he does venture forth.

3 Aearost Tinueme, Raynor City United
Age - 612
Sex - M
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 166 lbs
With the failures of the backline the past few editions, the new managerial staff decided that pairing Haelinde with his club teammate on the national team seemed the best idea. Tinueme unlike Haelinde is a stay at home centerback, looking to disrupt opponents play with a combination of pace, strength and solid positioning. He is a manger's dream of a centerback.

4 Urúvcion Kinarthir, Ibini FC~
Age - 586
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 166 lbs
Part of what makes up a very formidable defense in the Premiership, Kinarthir is a mobile defender who while natural in center of the park, can also operate on the wings. A good passer and crosser of the ball and will have to pick their moments to attack cautiously with the reliance of the centerbacks on the national team for the majority of the defensive assignments.

Midfield

21 Espy va Drake, Yuba United (Paripana)
Age: 751
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 159 lbs
After becoming a folklore hero for the lower class of the world, va Drake has made himself one of the living legends of the game after help leading the side to a title in World Cup 53. He has traveled far and wide while plying his trade, donning kits for no less than five countries clubs. Seen as the driving force in the middle of the park alongside Hawk, it is up to the opposition to try and figure out how to deal with the brilliance the winger and his other attackers have rather than them to create magic.

6 Aintôrthea Durosa, Raynor City United
Age - 760
Sex - F
Height: 5"10"
Weight: 144 lbs
Durosa is one of those players that can play just about any position, as her skill set is vast and adequate in multiple areas. She developed her skills in her CMSC seasons, nabbing goals and assists with regularity and continued with her transfer to the Cafundeu league. She translated that wealth of experiences into solid form and was named captain to her side in Astograth, with hope that this recognition raises her play for the national team. Her good knowledge of va Drake's typical playing patterns has made the two to be a devastating pair for the opposition to contain.

14 Laborious Hawk, Hondo FC
Age - 715
Sex -M
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 213 lbs
Words do not even begin to define his talent, his talent defines words. He was awarded one of the spots that the Vanorians have in the World Cup Hall of Fame, with it being very well deserved, as he has and continues to earn everything he has been given every single day. Hawk simply strives to be the very best footballer, captain, and teammate that there can be, with the hunger for perfection driving him forth on and off the pitch.

8 Merenwen Lúinwë, Hondo FC
Age - 681
Sex - F
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 152 lbs
Lúinwë is not really an exceptional talent, not compared to the rest of the midfielders on the side. What she is though is very hard working and disclinplined. Don't let her small statue fool you, she will get stuck in with the best of them and can also spring an attack with well placed through balls. All in all, a player who will fill their role well but likely not exceed it, but with Hawk, Soldarian, and va Drake around her, that's all she will need to do.

7 Faeron Soldarian, Raynor City United
Age - 629
Sex - M
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 163 lbs
Soldarian continues to live in the shadow of more well known players both on the national team and with his club. Despite this, Soldarian is seen by all on the squad as the emotional leader and the linchpin the in the middle that allows the more attacking minded midfielders being allowed to play their game.

Strikers

9 Allandren Fresco, Ibini FC
Age - 504
Sex - M
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 167 lbs
Fresco will once again have to learn to play off a new strike partner with Isiliéseil being recognized for his exceptionally play in the domestic league and given a spot straight into the starting eleven. By now Fresco is a known commodity, strong in the air with a pretty decent shot, the vision to create when asked upon. With both of the forwards very comfortable playing with the ball in their feet rather than one being a poacher, you can expect them to rotate their positions, along with Hawk, to create a fearsome attacking spearhead trio that will be difficult for many managers to come up with a plan to stop.

10 Sellien Isiliéseil, Hondo FC ~
Age - 686
Sex - M
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 162 lbs
Sellien is a big lad who can play the hold up game when called upon. However he prefers to slink back into the attack, get the ball, and take a run at players with his great dribbling skill. With a cracker for a shot, he's been known to pepper the goal from even forty-five yards away, though accuracy of those shots can sometimes be a problem.

World Cup Estenia Squad

Image

Starters

GK: Aleksei Maksimov (24) (Jelle FC)
Jelle FC keeper for 2 years, he's extremely crazy lately mostly cause a girl is on his way. But yet again he's extremely talented, he's saving very hard shots, he even scores goals. He was trained on Morna FC, where he proved talented and Jelle FC bought him, where he did the biggest ste p of his career and was the keeper of the team during the excellent run on Baptism of Fire.

DC: Yuri Makareshi (Captain) (20) (Real Azuris, not yet there)
Player spotlight of Estenia, now proved himself with the game against Wolfbenz giving 4 assists. But yet again, he's tired because of the Di Bradini Cup but he sure made it and helped with the Jarov plan on the win with 0-2 against Kingston-Atlantis. He has done some excellent defending on the Baptism of Fire and the team is now on the Semi-Finals and probably gonna lost to Isula Ge Ru, worthy opponents.

DC: Filipp Raksimovich (31) (Safiro Rivero)
Filipp Raksimovich a very good defender of Estenia, he has done some excellent wseasons with Jelle FC and Kortu Dunamo. Now he's starting his new adventure on Sarrbia, he might be worthy out there like when he was on Estenia. He's still got energy to play.

DR: Andrei Nazarenkov (29) (FK Wypuli)
He's the player that has scored the most 80 metre goals in history probably, he actually uses his intelligence and makes quick thinking before doing those he rarely tries but he mostly succeeds. He also moved to Sarrbia for a new adventure, now he's readier than ever he sais.

DL: Andriy Dursimov (24) (Rannin FC)
Dursimov, Rannin FC's talented player, helped them with their new defensive style of play and was very helpful during the team's great run.Without him the team would be crushed.

CM: Reedik Eenpalu (34) (Morna FC)
ML: Kaupo Markov (25) (Rannin FC)
MR: Sergei Peehlak (27) (Vijallu)
CAM: Yuri Makrov (24) (Jelle FC)
CF: Aleksei Adrianov (Vice-Captain) (25) (FC Samotath)
CF: Yuri Makarov (25) (Stoneshore United)

Roster and Coach Report

A team made mostly by Jelle FC players, makes the best national team of Estenia, all time, coming after a friendly against Semarland National Team 0-3 several days ago. Since then they started training for the World Cup Qualifiers but mostly the Firestorm Cup so, some players have showed worth on playing on the national team and the team has got some potential to win this tournament. Yuri Makareshi is coming from a failed U-21 World Cup held on August 2014 but now he is readier than ever to play in the senior's national team of Estenia. On the other, talent strikers Yuri Makarov and Aleksei Adrianov coming from successful seasons from Cosumarite and Estenian leagues respectively. Yuri Makarov scored 7 goals and Aleksei Adrianov scored 26 goals and earned the Silver Ball with ease. As for Sergei Peehlak he's precious for assists. Kaupo Markov also is a precious assistman, both of them have helped their teams and everyone excpects to help the national team too. Most of the players come from stunning seasons so far but those we said are on top form at the moment.

Stadiums
Because Stade Royae is under construction due to the heavy rainfall of October, 2 stadiums take it's place.

El federacion del fotbol de Hicaña Presents...THE HICAÑA SKYLARKS

Image
Brilliantly provided by AER Sportswear of Gloriax

After Isle Benoit was utterly destroyed by Gregoryisgodistani bombs, a new wave of refugees fled Hicaña. The practice field is being rebuilt, and as such the Skylarks practice in Khan Arena in Nevo Esperanso.

all players listed in likelihood of starting
Aaron CASTRO - #01 - 25
Pretty competent player, fiercely patriotic. Carded slightly too often, but agile and gets to balls quickly.
James FRITZ-GEROUX - #12 - 26
Fritz-Geroux isn't very athletic, but his competency in the box and his inability to feel pressure make him a decent enough sub.
Adam RAMIRES - #23 - 21
Adam Ramires, the youngest of the keeper trio, has little finesse, but his brute agility should be able to take him far. Ish.

Kathryn MIKKELSON - #5 - 28
A stern but clean tackler, Mikkelson is one of the most experienced players on the team. She tends to play in more of a sweeper role and has a special sense for intercepting passes.
Alaric DONALBAIN - #3 - 19
Donalbain is a fantastic man-marker, his speed enabling him to keep up with some of the best attackers there is. His skills on offense make him arguably the star of the Hicañan defense, although his tackles are shaky at best. Likes playing wingback or defensive midfielder.
Jenni SANCHEZ - #2 - 29
Jenni Sanchez, the former team assistant-captain under manager Jim Park, is no longer in that vaulted position due to knee injuries - but she is still a great defender, good for endless minutes as a wingback.
Carlos HERRERA - #21 - 20
The young center-back Herrera has no shortage of speed and agility, although with his tackling style, he usually ends up with a yellow card. Whether or not he can take the next step to consistency may determine the back line's success.
Francois RIVERIE - #6 - 23
Born to a wealthy politician, the Benoitian Riverie ran away at eighteen as if in a novel to pursue his dream of playing professional football. He was caught and returned within sixty-four minutes, but became a professional anyway. Plays any defensive position with surprising hustle and is fantastic for both a quick clear and a counterattack-starting pass.
Todd BECKETT - #23 - 21
A laid-back defensive halfback, Beckett is better at starting attacks than stopping them. Still, he's on the team for his innate playmaking ability.
Christian FERNANDEZ - #19 - 26
Dubbed a prodigy at fifteen, a succession of terrible wars ensured that he never fully blossomed. A physical specimen, but still raw.

Albert CASTRO - #9 - 24
The original Hicañan star, Albert Castro still hasn't lost his quick instincts and deadly shooting touch, nor his playmaking skills as a center mid or attacking halfback. Slightly miffed at losing the #10 and the captain's band to Miguel Ansierra, but after a World Cup campaign in which he lead the team in goals, that's reasonable.
Matthieu RHODERICK - #8 - 27
Castro's counterpoint, Rhoderick is a laid-back left-halfback who excels at ball distribution and never shoots unless it's a sure thing.
Emily DA SILVA - #13 - 21
The third and youngest member of the expected midfield core, Emily da Silva is an agile, efficient wing-halfback who doubles as striker and always knows where the ball is going.
Robert DuPONT - #22 - 36
DuPont is a generic right-halfback. He's a good generic right-halfback, though. "There's no such thing as a generic right-halfback!" you protest. Well, now there is.
Troy BERYLL - #25 - 29
Beryll, an attacking-midfielder, is certainly a calming veteran presence on many of the drinking-age-or-lower players that have been brought on. On the playing field, he's a decent shot and a mediocre passer, although he does have a knack for finding unguarded positions on a set piece.
Neftali DEL ANCINEN - #29 - 23
When he's on his game, his agility and speed make him a feared presence; when he isn't, he tends to self-destruct and end up running in circles muttering something.

Miguel ANSIERRA - #10 - 25 (CAPTAIN)
Richard Byrne's next star player, Miguel Ansierra is your prototypical striker. He's a brilliant shot, good at ball-carrying, and devastating when taking a penalty kick. Not the fastest, but has an array of trick moves that he keeps up constantly.
Michael MARERRO - #42 - 20
A decent enough counterpart to Ansierra, the former impact sub now finds his speed used on the starting lines.
Ignacio CASTELLIHO - #23 - 26
Castelliho is a trickster whose spinning shots are a fan favorite. He's also a notorious flopper, although his durability takes some credibility away from that.
James STEPHENSON - #22 - 34
A bland veteran presence on the team. Don't expect minutes, he's too fragile.
Fernando DE LA ROSA - #18 - 23
Your generic Latin player - speed and tricks, a decent shooting touch, some flopping.

Head Coach: Richard Byrne - 58 - Eirelian

Formation (unless other info is provided later): 3-2-4-1

Gregory Llama Land Roster

Recently, a tourist exploring Gregory Llama Land's Llama Island discovered that the llamas were sapient and of human-like intelligence. Nobody previously knew that since they did not speak English. However, the tourist learned the llamas' language and taught them English. So now Gregory Llama Land is a freedom-loving land of sapient llamas and humans who live together in peace and harmony, where everything is legal unless it involves force or fraud against another individual's life, liberty, or property. Its motto, "Llamas, Liberty, Life" exemplifies everything that is good about Gregory Llama Land. It is named after its founder, Gregory Kochenstein, who is unrelated to Lord Almighty Gregory.

The leader of Gregory Llama Land is called the Grand Llamachief and is elected every year on November 13, to take office on December 15. There is also the Llamaslature, which consists of 100 members elected through proportional voting in the Llamasenate, and 500 members elected in local districts in the People's House. Shortly after the discovery of sapient llamas, two constitutional amendments were passed, one guaranteeing equal rights for llamas and other sapient creatures, and another doubling the size of each body effective with the next election and guaranteeing half the seats to llamas. As a result, following the 2014 Election, the Llamasenate will double to 200 members, 100 llamas and 100 humans, and the People's House will double to 1,000 members, 500 humans and 500 llamas. All politicians are limited to one consecutive term in office. This also means they cannot run for another office while holding office. It is permissible to hold the same office or multiple offices multiple times, but not consecutively. The current human population of Gregory Llama Land is estimated at 750,000, while the current llama population is estimated at 550,000. Following the discovery of llamas' sapience, they proceeded to integrate in human communities for the most part, whereas previously they had lived in isolated islands.

Of note, the llamas also failed to recognize the humans were sapient for pretty much the same reason the humans failed to recognize the llamas were. As a result, there were no reparations paid by either side.

Home games will be played at Parks and Recreation Field in Llama City's Center Park, the biggest open park in Gregory Llama Land. It is not really a public park per se, as it is privately owned by a charitable foundation, but it is open to the public year-round. Parks and Rec Field is also used by many local teams. The private organization that owns the park sets the rules regarding who uses it when, and agreed to lease it to Gregory Llama Land for all home games as well as practices. It seats 5,500 . It has bleachers on both the east and west sidelines, with a press box on the west sideline as well. The north goal side is open, while the south goal side has a few rows of bleachers that are to be allocated to visiting fans, about 750 seats total. The back side of the park's ice hockey rink is located immediately behind these stands, on the other side of the pedestrian path, so there is no room to expand there in the future. However, there is plenty of room to expand on the open side. The locker rooms are located in a separate building just to the north of the field and is visible in the top left of the photo below. The ice rink is visible on the right side.

Of note, there are no real bathrooms available to the fans at the stadium. There are port-a-potties and a concession stand available just outside the southeast entrance. Fans will need to get their hand stamped to come back in after using them, but stadium security will make sure you get one. You can also exit through either the southeast or southwest entrance and use the real restrooms in the ice rink, which will be open before, during and after all games for the convenience of fans. The ice rink is also the emergency evacuation location for the field in the event that there is severe weather as there are no concourses to shelter in. There is also a concession stand inside the ice rink which will be open whenever the rink is open, 8 AM to 8 PM seven days a week except certain holidays. (The building will be open during games even outside those hours to allow fans to use the restroom or shelter in case of emergency.) The concession stand with shorter lines is one of the best-kept secrets among fans, since few people know about it or realize it's often open during games.

Note that Gregory Llama Land's home games will typically begin at 7:00 PM local time and any changes to that schedule will be announced. This means, among other things, that fans will be able to access the rink's concession stand roughly through the end of halftime. Ticket prices are 3 lamadolas (10.5 NSD) in the general admission section, which is the entire east side, and between 5 and 10 lamadolas (17.5-35 NSD) for the reserved section, which is the west side, depending on how good the seats are. Children 12 and under get 50 percent off their tickets. College students with a valid student ID and senior citizens 65 and over with valid ID proving their birthday will also receive a 50 percent discount. None of the seats have backs, but if you sit in the top row under the press box, you can lean your back against it comfortably. You can also lean your back against the metal chain link fence in the top row in the rest of the stadium, but it isn't very comfortable. The visitor's section behind the south goal is to be allocated by the visiting team, with pricing at their discretion. All other tickets are allocated by the Gregllamese Soccer Federation. Anyone globally can buy them, but tickets go on sale in Gregory Llama Land 30 days before the rest of the world. There is also an open and well-lit lawn on the open north side where you can stand or sit on your own chair/blanket for free and watch the game through a chain-link fence. Seating on the lawn is first-come, first-serve on gameday.

National Football Team of Schottia

World Cup 70

------------------------------
Manager: Barry Gorman 44
Assistant: Jackie Lowell 51
First Team Coach: David Chettwell 62
First Team Coach: Max Linellan 41
Gk Coach: Norman Davis 39
Physio: Claire Hanson 24
------------------------------

Style Modifier: +3

Barry Gorman and Jackie Lowell look set to go with a relatively unchanged team from the one which made steady progress during the last set of qualifiers. Schottia will be keen to improve on the three wins and five draws they earned last time round, trying to convert some of those draws into three points. Many of the players who made an impact last time round keep their places in a team, which blends youth and experience.

The keeper and back four remains the same as ever with King's Park man Darren O'Brian continuing to fill in at left back, the winger seeming to have made that position his own now. Chris Okywä and John McCann keep their places as the centre back duo, however look to Brandenburg man Darren Hanlon to push them hard for a starting position. The 23 year old has been on impressive form in the Vyrsaran league, and will be looking to establish himself in the national side quickly.

In the midfield, captain Colin Donaldson will feature in his last World Cup. The veteran of over 100 caps has strongly hinted that he will retire from international duty at the end of this world cup cycle. Therefore the Handon United player will partner Fineberg Flockers' Gary Corsie in the middle of the park for the last time. Jon Fotan will more than likely start on the left again, and Joey Bia on the right, leaving youngsters: Killanen, O'Maramy, and Ümann vying it out to step of the bench when needed.

The big battle up front is for the coveted lone striker role, so expect Bruno Schwartz and Mark Allen both to feature. One position that is definitely decided however, is the inclusion of star man Gaston Avelione, who since Gorman took charge, has operated in a free role just off of Allen's shoulder.

Squad

1. GK D'Araby, 31 Image Handon United Height:190cm Weight:84kg
The ever dependable North Islander Lucas D'Araby has 90 Caps for his country. At 190 cm he is an imposing presence in the goalmouth, and is famous for his shot stopping ability. He has been a stalwart for his club, Handon United, keeping the No. 1 shirt for eleven consecutive seasons. With United he has won six league titles and four Schottic Cups. He has been an ever present figure over the last decade, picking up first of his 90 caps aged just 22.

2. RB Gordon, 30, Image Handon United Height:181cm Weight:73kg
The versatile Defender Jack Gordon has 75 caps and 3 goals for Schottia. He has a talent for getting down the right flank overlapping the midfield. Another Handon United player, his exploits for club and country have drawn plaudits in the international media. Gordon can fill in comfortably at centre back and regularly features at left back for his club.

3. LB O'Brian, 23, Image King's Park Height:178cm Weight:71kg
Darren O'Brian, despite being preferred in the left of midfield for his club King's Park, has made the left back position his own. His attacking style of play provides a balance to the side and complements that of Gondon's. O'Brian is 23 and already has 39 caps and 2 goals. He has played for King's Park all his career making his debut at 16, although there is constant talk of him moving on to pastures new. At present however, he is still part of the current King's side, and already has three goals to his name this season.

4. CB McCann, 30, Image Handon United Height:191cm Weight:82kg
John McCann has time after time proven himself to be a dependable defender. This towering centre half is tough tackling, assured in the air, and has a habit of popping up at the right time to head in from set-plays. Despite all this, he has come under some criticism at times for being sluggish in possession. Vice-captain for Handon United and Schottia, he has 88 caps and 4 goals.

5. CB Okywä, 27, Image Soessch Height:183cm Weight:84kg
Chris Okywä has the pace and athleticism to cope with the fastest centre forwards. He is well known for his eccentric style of play, that on occasion, can cause problems. That said he is a firm fan's favourite and an important member of the team. A naturally charismatic player Okywä brings a lot of good will through his sportsmanship, and his approach to the game. The Soessch defender has 60 caps and 1 goal.

8. CM Donaldson, 32, Image Handon United Height:183cm Weight:78kg (c)
Perhaps Handon Utd's best player of all time, Colin Donaldson, despite being 32 has plenty still left in him. The central midfielder can turn defense into attack in the blink of an eye, and has caught the attention of many pundits over the years for his fast feet and accurate passing. Captain for club and country, he has 114 caps and 21 goals, making him Schottia's most capped player ever. Donaldson who turns 33 next year has strongly hinted that this tournament may in fact be his last, citing his desire to see younger players given the chance to develop.

6. CM Corsie, 22, Image Fineberg Flockers Height:190cm Weight:80kg
Schottic football's most expensive player ever, Gary Corsie completed a 15 million pound move to Edomite side Fineberg Flockers, just before the recent transfer window closed. The central midfielder has been a big player for his former club Port Sebastian, and was instrumental in seeing them secure the the 2013/14 SPL championship. Corsie is a highly mobile player, operating in the engine room of the midfield. As well as his passing and ability to press the opposition, he brings goals to the team scoring 7 in 37 caps. Corsie also appeard in the Schottic U-23 side which reached the quarter finals in Zube and Kytler Bay City.

7. AMR Jonathan Bia, 17, Image Port Sebastian Height:170cm Weight:72kg
As a Schottic footballer, when your manager calls you the next Gaston Avelione, you know you're doing something right. The Dahamy born winger only received international clearance to play weeks before the start of the last world cup. Since then Joey (as he likes to be called) has put in some top class performances, in both the World Cup and Cup of Harmony. All of his 15 caps and 3 goals came in these tournaments, and the subsequent friendlies. Joey Bia is a tricky winger with bags of pace and invention. A natural left footer, he loves to cut in and shoot on goal.

11. AML Fotan, 23, Image New Belfast Warriors Height:177cm Weight: 80kg
It is sometimes easy to forget that Jon Fotan is only 23-years-old, such has been the midfielder's contribution to the national team. Everything the Warriors man lacks in pace he more than makes up for in skill and vision. A set-piece specialist he is entrusted with free kick and corner duties. Fotan is famous for his 30 yard passes and speculative attempts on goal that have a habit of sneaking in. The left sided player is one of the first names on Barry Gorman's team sheet and has 37 caps and 10 goals.

10. SS Avelione, 28, Image Handon United Height:195cm Weight: 84kg
Recently voted Schottia's second greatest player of all time, Avelione is a force to be reckoned with. Starting his career with La Gorlions, the North Islander recently returned to the SPL with Handon United, after a spell playing abroad with the Wolverines. Avelione is a player who has the potential to terrorise defences, with pace and scoring ability unrivalled in the Schottia team. By some way the most likely in the team to get on the score sheet, he was top scorer in the last world cup qualifiers and the Cornellian cup. Avelione has 72 caps and 46 goals for his country

21. Mark Allen, 23, Image FC Hill Valley Height:191cm Weight: 81kg
The SPL's top goal scorer last season, Allen broke into the starting line up towards the end of the last World Cup qualifiers, and started all three matches in the Cup of Harmony. He is likely to share lone striker duties with Bruno Schwartz, as the manager seems to have trouble choosing between the two. Allen left champions Port Sebastian at the end of last season, for FC Hill Valley, has has earned 17 caps and scored 6 goals.

Substitutes

13. GK Gonzaö, 23, Image Port Sebastian Height:202cm Weight:85kg
The Port Sebastian keeper Chris Gonzaö has found himself forever in the shadows of first choice D'Arby. Despite this he has an excellent record at club level, and his only international cap saw him keep a clean sheet. The quintessential bench warmer, Gonzaö is unlikely to appear in the qualifiers unless there is an injury to D'Araby

14. DLC Daller, 24, Image Marionville Height:190cm Weight:85kg
David Daller has been in and around the national team for a few years now without making much of an impact. The Marionville defender is prised most of all for his ability to fill in at centre-back or left-back, making him a valuable addition to the larger squad. Daller is a solid player however he is in danger of being overtaken by some of the younger guys coming through, this means World Cup 70 may be his last.

22. CB Darren Hanlon, 22, Image VfB Brandenberg Height:188cm Weight:84kg
This is the first call up for Hanlon, who captained the Olympic U-23 side at the recent games in Zube and Ketler Bay City, helping them reach the quarter final. Despite his age Hanlon has all the attributes of a commanding centre half, and this was outlined in his 2.5 million move to Vyrsaran side VfB Brandenberg. Barring injuries, the chances of the player making many appearances are slim, however it will be hoped that he gains from the experience.

15. CB McDonald, 27, Image Soessch Height:187cm Weight: 82kg
Nathan McDonald is a reasonably new addition to the to the squad being called up for the Runner Cup II on the back of solid form for his club FC Soessch. So far he has only made one appearance for Schottia, and he may be running out of time regarding making the breakthrough.

16. RLMF Chris Jack, 22, Image Hollin Height:186cm Weight: 80kg
The Hollin wide-man Jack is equally apt playing in defence or attack, he was forced to pull out of the Olympic squad with a thigh strain, after being named captain. He was used as a substitute during the last World Cup, and Cup of Harmony, earning 8 caps and scoring 1 goal

23. RMF Craig O'Maramy, 21, Image New Belfast Warriors Height:177cm Weight: 62kg
One of the main reasons the Warriors have been tipped as potential title challengers this season is Craig O'Maramy. The right sided midfielder has defences the length of the country running scared with his pace and power. The World Cup 70 qualifiers being his first call up to the full team means the winger may have to settle for a place on the bench. However if his league and Di Bradini Cup form is anything to go by, it won't be for long.

17. CM Ümann, 18, Image Soessch Height:188cm Weight:83kg
One of the only two teenagers in the side, Ümann has been in the Schottic squad for the last four international tournaments. Till Ümann is an imaginative central midfielder who is able to put his foot on the ball and pass with composure. Ümann has 15 caps and 3 goal.

18. DM Baxter, 31, Image Post Sebastian Height:180cm Weight:79kg
Jack Baxter is a stalwart for club and country, and is always in and about the starting line-up with 33 caps and 3 goals. The holding midfielder is captain of the title winning Port Sebastian side. Baxter is another player who is probably playing his last world cup and is certainly a bit old to be starting games on the bench. He does, however, bring experience to the squad, and is an influential character in the dressing room.

19. ACM Killanen, 20, Image FC Zurich Height:176cm Weight:70kg
Eoin Killanen captained the Schottic U-21s at the most recent Di Bradini cup, helping his side to a last 16 place. The former Lammerton wonderkid, joined Vyrsaran side FC Zürich at the end of the most recent transfer window in an 8 million move. An attacking midfielder, who can fill in at centre or on either wing, Killanen is very likely to feature as a sub in most games. He has good strike on him and operates a shoot on site policy. The only criticism of the player, as he reached 26 caps scoring 6 goals, is that he can be a little selfish in possession.

20. FC Coine, 26, Image Port Sebastian Height:183cm Weight:81kg
Paul Coine, is the current top scorer in the Schottic Premier League, scoring 9 goals in his first 8 games. The attacker can operate is a centre forward or as a second striker. Despite his goal scoring prowess, he has never really broken into the starting line up of the national team. Expect the Port Sebastian man to feature heavily though, as his direct running is a big feature of the teams attack. He has 26 caps and 8 goals.

9. FC Schwartz, 26, Image Soessch Height:191cm Weight:85kg
Bruno Schwartz is an old fashioned no. 9, centre forward, and as mentioned, shares the centre forward role with Mark Allen. Prior to the last World Cup qualifiers he was an automatic choice, however the emergence of Allen, has seen him have to settle for the bench. He has, on occasion drawn criticism for his goal to game ratio, however the big-man's contribution to the team is undeniable. The captain of Soessch has 60 caps and 15 goals.

12. CF Francis Keelinan, 23, Image Port James Athletic Height:188cm Weight:86kg
As this is Keelinan's first call up there is not a huge about of expectancy that he will feature much. That aside, the striker was vice-captain of the Schottic Olympic side, and has been on excellent form for his club Port James. There was a good amount of speculation over the winter break, saying that he would be moving on, however this in the end never materialised.

Harbour Hill Stadium
Location: Handon, South Schottia
Capacity: 55,000. Including some safe standing sections.

Handon is the capital of Schottia at home to around 1.1 million people. The predominant language spoken around the city is English or Scots, but most of the population are also fluent in German and French. The city itself is located on the ester most tip of South Schottia, the largest of the five islands which make up the Free Colony. Harbour Hill is situated in the centre of the city near the quayside area, and is easily accessible by bus or tram; the latter being the most common way to get around the city.

The architecture of Handon is largely mixed, with some buildings dating back to the early days of the Cornellian occupation, contrasted with more modern 20th and 21st century buildings. Harbour Hill was recently revamped adding a closing roof and safe standing features. The stadium, in some form or another, has been the site of Schottic home games since 1903 and has witnessed some of the great matches in the region's history. In the summer of this year Harbour Hill also hosted the final of the Cornellian Cup played out between the Republic of Gylias and the eventual winners New Edom.

Handon has a huge range of hotels and apartments for anyone staying in the city, however locations near the stadium tend to fill up quickly around match days. There is also plenty to do in the evenings after the games, with Schottia's legendary pub-culture always a draw, not to mention a list of top restaurants serving food from all over the region.

The Tropical Republic of Sarrbia - National Soccer Team - World Cup 70

Image

Sarrbia is an archipelago in southwestern meridian Rushmore, near New Sirain, Whirl Islands and Cotdelapoms. It is a paradise known for its abundance of white-sand beaches, palm trees and beautiful bikini-clad women. In the sporting world, Sarrbia is noted for its equal love of beach and association football, having hosted two editions of the Beach Cup in the past.

The Sarrbians reached a peak world ranking of #48 after qualifying for World Cup 56, but have since faded into relative obscurity. Please note that the Sarrbian squad is mixed male and female. All players come from Futbalo Asocio Sarrbi (FAS), the domestic league of Sarrbia and New Sirain, unless marked with another flag.

WEST ANGOLAN WORLD CUP 70 ROSTER

Image

Fifteen people- Isaac Warren, Jan Pawel, Blake Green, and twelve of the seventeen national players chose not to return to "Unified Angola" after the Cup of Harmony, and instead journeyed to Farreth Island to join Paul Arrat's Government-in-Exile. Isaac Warren coached his final tournament in the Fifth Eagle's Cup, and now Jan Pawel, who spent several years on the team before transitioning to Defensive Coach under Phillip Garren, and then found himself ascending to full coaching duties to fill the void resulting from August II's brutal coup in Namibe. Pawel, with Blake Green underneath him, will coach his first international tournament with a West Angolan team struggling to rebound from flaming out of World Cup 69 and the Cup of Harmony, then finding themselves rendered expatriates by the regime change.

Only half the team has any international experience outside the Eagle's Cup, as the rest returned to August II's "Unified Angola" with the intention of competing under that flag in World Cup 70. However, they were not accompanied by any member of the coaching staff, and since August's freshman Sporting Minister had banked everything on stealing a coach from the old team, the nation was forced to decline to field a team after a frantic search produced no suitable candidates. They did, however, demand that the World Cup Committee reject the entry of the Farreth team as they were "illegitimately competing under a false flag," but the Committee declined. With the eyes of their former countrymen upon them, Pawel's squad will attempt to prove that they can win at football, avenging the deaths of Phillip Garren and Luke Parrish at August's hands.

COACHING STAFF:
Head Coach: Jan Pawel- Isaac Warren's retirement completed Jan Pawel's meteoric rise through the ranks of West Angola's coaching staff, and Pawel's decision to join Paul Arrat's enclave ensured that August's regime in Namibe would not field a team in World Cup 70, as they had been relying on a defection from the coaching staff to head their campaign. This move endeared him heavily to the Farreth Loyalists, and with Isaac Warren now occupying the position of Minister of Sports, Pawel has perhaps the warmest relationship with the fans and Sporting Ministry of any coach the team has ever had.
Age: 42

Assistant Coach: Blake Green- Green was a suitable replacement to Jacob Kerys, as he was slightly less talented but made up for it by being vastly more consistent, which helped relieve pressure from West Angola's defense. Green was originally part of a trio of area-specific coaches along with Parrish for the attack and Pawel for the defenders, but the deaths and promotion that followed World Cup 69 left him alone, and even he abandoned the short-lived specialization experiment when he became Pawel's assistant.
