The following are a series of messages exchanged between the Vice-President of the World Cup of Hockey Federation, Tie Lianhua of the Avatarian Republics of Gyatso-kai and several important figures in the Avatarian Hockey Community.

This message is in regards to the statement by the President of our Federation.

The fact that this man has simply allowed the barbarians from the godless heaven horde of Gregoryisgodistan to get away with murder essentially is a mockery of our great sport, and even the World Cup Federation as a whole!

In the first World Cup to occur since the creation of the Federation, allowing such actions to be punished with only a 'fine' is a detriment to establishing the precedents for future actions. The simple matter of murder is something that should not be tolerate by ANY nation, let alone the reigning World Champions. This kind of behaviour should be punished swiftly and strongly; banning them from the entirety of the World Cup would have been a much more appropriate response.

I request an audience with you to discuss this issue further

The announcement made by the President of the World Cup of Hockey Federation was of a significantly lesser degree that one would expect when the reigning World Champions of Ice Hockey viciously murder five players of the opposing team for no reason. To think that the President feels the best solution to such a problem is a minor fine to a corrupt government that will either starve its population in order to pay off the fine or, which is more likely, will simply refuse to pay it... It is simply absurd.

I do hope that you are being diligent in your services as our elected official to the World Cup of Hockey Federation, and that you are doing what you can to help right this egregious wrong on the half of not only Sanctii hockey players, but all players in our World Cup.

I am writing to you, not as a fan of Avatarian hockey nor as a representative in the Federation Assembly, but rather as the leader of a great nation who seeks only peace.

The actions of the nation of Gregoryisgodistan are simply deplorable; for absolutely no civil reason, they viciously attacked and murdered five innocent players who were simply engaging in what any civilised society would see as 'smack talk'. Instead, the barbaric individuals who so proudly refer to themselves as "Enemy Crushers" and some who do not even have proper names, saw it is a threat deemed worthy enough to massacre over.

Any other nation would see these actions and not only fine the national delegation, but would also bar them from competition for a length of time proportionate to the crime committed. Another fact which comes to mind is that athletes are not protected under any international convention or treaty from the repercussions of their actions; in previous World Cups, players have been barred from consuming alcohol or tobacco to even watching forms of entertainment that some cultures consider offensive. Yet in no World Cup of Hockey has any nation extended an equivalent of diplomatic immunity to players.

As the Vice President of the Federation, it is your duty to speak to your President and see to it that the Gregoryisgodistan delegation is properly punished for their heinous acts against the members of the Sanctii team.

Gregoryisgodistan Crushes San Jose Guayabal, Literally and Figuratively

It was a glorious day for the Ice Slaves yesterday evening, easily defeating their rivals from San Jose Guayabal, 6-1, for their second straight win. With Enemy Crusher Furfy "Junior Fatso" McFattel suspended due to his glorious crushing of a Saintland player, Enemy Crusher Porky Porkbites got the start in goal and allowed one goal while making 34 saves. Meanwhile, the offense had a relatively rare terrific display, scoring six goals. They got started with 12:09 left in the first period, when Slave Beater NDNSHYQ19 sent one through the legs of Bjorn Olssen, then proceeded to beat the goaltender with his hockey stick in celebration. He was uninjured. While the beating celebration was going on, some Guayabalese fans started chanting a forbidden fruity word, which enraged the Enemy Crushers who weren't suspended so much that they ran into the stands and crushed to death nine fans of San Jose Guayabal in all their glory.

The next score would not come until the 15:55 mark of the second period, when Actor 81248D8J scored a goal for the Ice Slaves. Of course, Actor 81248D8J is best known for playing Doybert on the hit TV show Costa Lunians Say the Darndest Things and has won several awards for it, both national and international. However, as he told the press, his most meaningful award was the World Cup of Hockey Ring he won in The Royal Barangay. He will look to win another one, but it is a shame Game 2 of the Finals is currently scheduled for Creation Day.

Meanwhile, at 6:44 left in the second period, Pervert Chaser JDJJ8138 scored and then proceeded to dickapitate and castrate a couple shirtless Guayabalese fans, screaming "THIS ISN'T A BEACH! I AM THE PERVERT CHASER! NO SHIRTLESS STUPIDITY HERE!" He then scored again less than two minutes later at the 4:57 mark to put the Ice Slaves up 4-0. San Jose Guayabal would add a goal a few seconds before the end of the period off the stick of Luis Martinez to make it 4-1 as the teams went to the locker room. As they were walking there, a few more fans chanted the same forbidden fruity word and got crushed to death as the Gregoryisgodistani fans went wild. "DEATH TO THEE, SJG!" they shouted. "DIE DIE DIE!" And indeed, approximately ten more fans of San Jose Guayabal were crushed beneath the holy, noble Enemy Crushers.

Then the third period began. Prison Guard AQIIUS scored just a minute or so into the the period at the 18:59 mark to make it 5-1. The game remained that way until there were two minutes left and San Jose Guayabal pulled its goaltender. At that point, or more precisely 1:44, Police Officer PIODO scored an empty net goal to make the game 6-1. San Jose Guayabal reinstated their goaltender for the rest of the game, which ended with a 6-1 final score. At that point, the remaining Guayabalian fans chanted the same forbidden fruity word that had gotten them in trouble twice before that night, and they were all crushed by the Enemy Crushers. In total, 89 fans of San Jose Guayabal were crushed. Four of them were also dickapitated and castrated for not wearing shirts - they instead had painted their chests with the letters S, J, and G and an exclamation mark. It was a glorious day for the Enemy Crushers who weren't suspended, crushing numerous Guayabalian fans to death.

Lord Almighty Gregory congratulated the Enemy Crushers, saying "When in the course of hockey events, fans decide to chant a forbidden fruity word, it becomes necessary for them to be crushed to death. The Enemy Crushers crushed the fans with immense glory and honor, and the fans are now in the Land of Eternal Punishment for literally chanting that word to their graves. It is very unfortunate that these fans decided to desecrate the match with their wicked, evil chant, but it is what it is. And now the fans are dead. They failed to remember that I am the Lord Your God and that I make the rules and laws. If I declare a word to be forbidden, then it is forbidden. Nobody may chant it. No Gregoryisgodistani, no Guayabalian, no Sanctii, nobody. Nobody may chant this forbidden fruity word. If they do, there is only one fitting punishment - death. And die the fans did. The Enemy Crushers will be receiving an additional reward of 89 million greggygodbucks each, in honor of the 89 fans they crushed total. They are all true heroes. Let us win this tournament now. And let us crush the players from Britonisea and Free Republics in the process, plus any other Enemy List nations we may face in the knockout stage. I am the Lord Your God! Death to San Jose Guayabal! Death to Saintland! Death to Free Republics! Death to Britonisea! Death to all the other nations on our Enemy List! I am the Lord Your God. All hail me!"

Well, we’ve made it this far with only one real set back…that darn loss to Borschlandia. We did end up with a draw against Torisakia so that is a bright point in our somewhat bleak start to this thing. But you’re saying we are sitting in third, why is that so bleak? Well, let me tell you. We have not played very well at all, giving up on average 38 shots per game, we are sitting at only a +1 on GD, and we are again sitting at just a 10% power play conversion rate while are opponents are nearly at 80% against us. Now do you see why this is so bleak? If we want to succeed on the ice we need to start playing smarter hockey. Not giving up so many chances and actually doing a little fore-checking for a change. I believe we have the talent to be a great side, but until these guys start playing together we’re going to have a hard time advancing. But I guess that somewhat explains why the coaching staff has not made any changes yet, they want the team to gel or mesh together if you will. You know, play as an actual team for a change. I suppose we could be worse off, we could have zero wins.

Looking ahead we still have a couple of tough games remaining and we’ll need all of our skill and talent to be firing on all cylinders if we want any chance at moving out of this group stage. The toughest of them will come against 11th ranked Estope, so we’ll need to prepare for them and if we can manage a win or draw with them I feel we should have no troubles with anyone else. But if we don’t show up against them and end up loosing that game we may struggle with the remaining games. I can also only hope we slide past Australian Council with a plethora of goals, which will give us a better feeling heading in to the game against that Estope side.

Here’s to hoping for better hockey out of HopNation!

“I’d say we did very well out there against the hosts on their home turf. I wish we had won but you have to take the bad times with the good times.”

Captain and starting goalkeeper Olli Piatek spoke this as coach Giehl and Tawfeek sat down at his table in the hotel restaurant in Sorochuk. They were having breakfast together today to discuss what needed to be fixed for the next game against Super-Llamaland. The team had just come off of a close 6-4 defeat against one of the World Cup of Hockey hosts, Vaugania. Now, their schedule read as follows: the aforementioned Super-Llamaland, then Abanhfleft and ending with Norrehavn with all of the games being played in Agri at the AgriVentures Arena.

“So, as I’ve read in some of the articles from the empire, we need at least one win and one draw to put ourselves in a position to advance from the group. Anything more would just improve our chances,” said Giehl as he took a sip of his coffee. “And looking at our opponents: Super-Llamaland allows a ton of goals, Abenhfleft is pretty even in every statistic while Norrehavn has eerily similar statistics to us. So, if we get wins against the first two, then we should have our spot squared away by the time we face Norrehavn. All we need to do is play like we did in the first three games and we should be fine.”

“And ‘Should’ being the key word there,” replied Tawfeek. “As I told you before, we rely too much on Jernej for goals. If we can find someone else, whether on the first line or second line or even the third line to help score goals, we WILL be fine. The defense is doing great besides this last game and Piatek had been stellar as well including the last game, considering Vaugania could have scored 9 goals or more.” Olli couldn’t have but smile as he appreciated the compliment.

“Honestly, the two of you could learn from each other,” Olli spoke, making the two coaches look at their team captain. “Henri could learn to focus and improve on the bad things we did while Lynda could learn to be a bit more optimistic in her assessments. I mean, yeah we have it difficult now with us needing wins against decent/good teams that want to catch up but we now know how to play at a high level. We can do this, we just need to work hard and believe. It sound corny but it’s true.”

The two coaches looked at each other and simply chuckled. “Finish up your breakfast, we have pregame training in 3 hours,” Giehl told him as the group proceeded to eat their breakfast. Both of them knew it wasn’t as simply as what Olli had said and each disagreed with how to coach the team.

But they did agree on one thing: they would let the players enjoy and live in the moment, as they deserved to.

The early morning sun shone brightly through the third-story windows of the World Cup of Hockey Federation Heaquarters. The Headquarters, housed in a comfortably furnished mansion in the ancient Korean Quarter of Québec City, was hardly alive; most staffers came into the work around nine, and the only people here were the security staff and a few early risers.

Tie Lianhua was one of those early risers.

Tie sat in her office, staring down at a computer screen which was housed in a richly-hued mahogany casing to match the rest of her office decor. She had been here all night --- ever since her e-mail account had exploded after the President of the Federation Gaston Tremblay-Sachs gave another statement following several nations' condemnation of his original course --- and it certainly showed upon her face; she had only managed a couple hours rest on one of the couches across the room from her desk. Tie had been in contact with the President, but only to express the concerns of those who had contacted her shortly after his original 'punishment'; an eighteen-million Quebecois dollar fine to the Gregoryisgodistani delegation.

Pfft... Chump change to an oppresive dictator who thinks he created the universe.

Tie reached out to the touchpad on her desk and tapped it quickly, bringing up her emails again. Last she had checked, four-hundred-and-seventeen were still unread. As her delicate hand flowed atop the touchpad, the cursor on the screen hovered to the REFRESH icon. She gave a light sigh before double-tapping the icon, and watched as the number refreshed.

Seven-hundred-and-twenty?!?!

As her eyes scrolled down the lists of subjects, she also began to note the senders of these emails. Almost all of them were titled "The President's Response" or "The Next Course" or something similar, and most were from the upper elites within the Avatarian Hockey world; another message from Matsushima of the Beijing Stars, a reply from Bao Chen, a few messages from several AHL Head Coaches, and another message from the Commissioner of the National Sports Council Joseph X. Fong. All carried the same tone, and essentially the same message: That the actions of the President were simply not enough. Tie began to read each email, all following the same theme, and she just continued to hang her head after each one in simple disbelief that any one person's actions could draw such a response from a community.

Tie adjusted her reading glasses, pinching the bridge of her nose with her usually-immaculate manicure before refocusing on the screen. The subject line was nothing out of the ordinary --- "In Response to the President's Change of Punishment" --- but it was the sender which made her nearly choke.

His Holiness Aang, The Avatar

She just stared ahead blankly in disbelief. Avatar Aang, the leader of the Avatarian Religion as well as the Avatarian Republics, had sent her a message earlier yesterday, expressing his concern for the actions of the Federation, and Tie had responded in due diligence, telling the Avatar she would speak with the President to address the Republics' concerns. She had sworn that it was just one message, written by a staffer and simply signed as if it were from the Avatar. However, as she read this message, she could not help but get the feeling that this one was different:

Tie hurriedly looked to the top of the email to find its timestamp --- seeing as how emails were not always precise on their delivery --- and then checker her tabletop chronometer.

Alright, the timestamp is today 07:40, and that was... twenty minutes ago... so that means...

Tie jumped from her seat and stood. She cleared her throat before adjusting her hair.

"Yes? Come in."

A single clonetrooper walked into the room --- Tie had forgotten how imposing they looked when in full armour --- and reached up to remove his helmet. Beneath the helmet was a remarkably young face, one Tie had grown up seeing on the streets of Republic City, and a close hair cut that just reeked of military precision. His armour bore the red markings of a Senate Guard trooper, and the single gold lotus flower on his shoulder plate signified just who he was tasked to protect.

As he came to her desk, he stopped before handing her a ceremonial scroll and speaking to her. Tie had done this many times before, and knew the scroll detailed for her personally that an incredibly rare visit was about to happen.

"Madame Tie, please read the scroll that I have handed to you."

Tie smiled as she unrolled the scroll; holding a degree in Lingusitics allowed her to greatly appreciate the ancient language contained on the scroll whereas most people would have to read the translation below it. Written in a form of Early Avatarian common to the northeastern provinces where Gyatso-kai first formed as a collection of smaller tribes united against a common foe, she was surprised at how effortlessly all those years at the University came back to her and she found herself reading the ancient text.

Madame Tie

It is with great honour and an esteemed respect that the Avatar graces your presence today to discuss matters of grave importance.

Tie looked back to the soldier, who had already turned back to the doors. As he reached out to open the door, the light footsteps of a child could be coming towards the doors, though the voice that accompanied them was certainly not as young.

"Yes yes, I am sure you haven't secured the room, but must you always make such a fuss."

The doors of her office --- tall, richly hued, and intricately carved --- gave way as a taller gentleman of about forty-years-of-age came through, his deep red and gold robes flowing behind him. Tie immediately bowed before stepping out from behind her desk. It was customary for individuals to go to the ground and reverently bow before the Avatar, as most Imperial subjects did for their respective Emperors, and Tie was not about to fail in this protocol.

As she began to drop, she felt a light pulse of wind push her hair up, and she could not help but notice her windows were shut.

"Oh, Madame, there is no time for that," the Avatar spoke softly, simply extending his hand for a more Western-style greeting. She could only guess where the small gust came from. Tie smiled before motioning to the sears before her desk.

"Welcome, Avatar. Please, please take a seat."

"Thank you, Madame..."

"Call me Lianhua please."

"Oh of course," the Avatar blushed slightly; Tie had to remember that even though he was the Avatar, she was about a decade older than him, which would be a mark of respect to call her Madame instead of Miss or even using her given name.

"Now, Avatar, a think a simple email could have sufficed for discussing the..."

"Oh certainly not. The nations of the world are slightly unsettled by the fact that the Federation has simply enforced fines on the team, and until yesterday, only banned the murderers for three games and imposed a slight fine on the coach for not controlling his players."

"Well, I did see his response and..."

"Then I am sure you also so the response from a few nations pledging full military support should the murder of the Crown Prince of Saintland go unpunished."

"Well," Tie stumbled slightly, as she must have missed that response in the news. She reached to her touchpad again and brought up the Quebec Quarterly and searched for national responses.

"The nation of Saintland is rightfully angry, spoke the Avatar as he watched Tie read, "and the nations of FLULON have passed an impressive trade embargo and travel ban on Gregoryisgodistan, and the nation of Super-Llamabad has pledged six-thousand troops in support of Saintland should war arise from these heinous crimes."

Tie simply leaned back in her chair, not yet realising what a grasp on the world this event could take.

"Lianhua, something must be done other than imposing fines. A nation which sought to reward its people with 'quadruple prune juice and gruel rations' after the murders deserves a more strict punishment than fines."

Tie sighed as she leaned forward on her desk.

"What do I do, Avatar? I am simply the Vice President, and I have been in communication with the President during this entire affair."

"Has he not been more willing to impose a stricter punishment?"

"He thinks it is best to allow the Quebecois law enforcement to handle any more severe punishments."

"Law enforcement can only deal with the individuals, not the culture. Gregoryisgodistan must be brought to justice, be it through the stripping of their World Championship last year to the banning of them from multiverse play for a length of time to even an outright dismissal from the World Cup of Hockey Federation."

Tie sighed again, letting the stress roll through her shoulders before she pulled up the keyboard to her computer.

Borschland defeats Australian Council, Gains First Place in Group

Borschland was honored to meet the nation of Australian Council in a World Cup of Hockey Group G game. As Borschland lies nearest to Australia in the Terra Universe, and Australia is an ally in that universe, the game was considered by the Borschic delegation a cordial affair and ended with Borschland's 3-1 victory on goals by Kool, Pompeel, and "Tiger" Threedjall, the latter two tallying their first goals of the tournament.

Having played four of seven games in this first round of competition, Borschland now finds itself at the top of the table in Group G with 3 wins and a draw. Torisakia, with a better goal differential, is one point behind at 2 wins and 2 draws. HopNation has won 2, drawn 1, and tied 1, while Estope, still undefeated, has won 1 game and drawn 3.

Newcomer Kazirstan is also at 2-1-1, though their last three games promise to be difficult, against Estope, Torisakia, and Borschland.

The logjam at the top of the table has made it much less clear who will go through to the Round of 16. At the beginning of the Cup, Torisakia was the favorite to win the group, with Estope and HopNation figuring to battle for the second spot. After Borschland surprised both Estope with a 2-2 draw and HopNation with a 7-4 upset win, the Black Swans entered the playoff mix.

Borschland still have to play formidable Torisakia, who beat the Swans 5-4 in the championship game of the most recent Royal Alexandre Invitational. But the team holds the reins to its own destiny. If they win out, they will win the group. With one loss, they are likely to be in the playoffs. More than that, and it's anyone's guess.

Borschland next faces Semarland, against whom it has had success in the past.

All Gregoryisgodistani WCoH games to be vacated, Gregoryisgodistan to be stripped of title: Yoon

Things could not only get more interesting in the Quebecois side of the World Cup of Hockey as another move, in response to another of Gregoryisgodistani on-ice antics, were announced. Here's the statement from Hindmarsh Yoon, the Interim-President of the Federation(OOC: I'll RP later about Gaston-Tremblay Sachs' death):

"Due to the further of incidents brought by the Gregoryisgodistani Delegation in whose latest case has resulted in the death of 88 Guayabalense fans, I have decided that all games involving Gregoryisgodistani National Hockey Team will be vacated on the lower bowl, with tickets reserved for visiting Gregoryisgodistani fans being nullified from this point.

In addition, further safety measures will be enacted on the stands, with first three rows of the upper bowl to be occupied by members of the Royal Quebec Forces and Royal Quebec Mounted Police. This is being done to ensure the protection of visiting and local fans from the wrath of so-called enemy crushers. No one wants death or dickapitation to happen out of an on-ice dispute, so we want to keep it that way as well.

Lastly, I am to further announce that there'll be one more measure against the Gregoryisgodistani Delegation. Due to its repetition of violence against members of audience with greater frequency and casualty than ever, I have decided that the Gregoryisgodistan's World Cup of Hockey 24 title will be nullified. Despite what was a precautionary warn in past two sentences handed out to them, the very nation did not learn from it and only went further with its offences, thereby proving that a nation like this does not deserve the win."

Now this move looks to be interesting as Yoon decided to depart from his predecessor's diplomatic approach and decided to focus further on....

"Good evening, ladies, gentlemen, and slaves. I speak to you tonight about a statement by the wicked, heathen President of the World Cup of Hockey Federation. This twit has apparently decided to vacate the glorious World Cup of Hockey title we won thanks to the brave, heroic actions of our Enemy Crushers in crushing their enemies. These actions by the Federation cannot be tolerated. We shall have our revenge. The World Cup of Hockey Federation has 48 hours to reinstate our title from World Cup of Hockey 24 or I will commence with operation Royal Death. This operation will involve the launching of nuclear weapons at all the Quebecois cities hosting the World Cup of Hockey, except the one which our team is playing in. This will result in the death of millions of civilians including multiple national hockey teams. Furthermore, this World Cup of Hockey wil likely have to be canceled. The Royal Kingdom of Quebec knows we have nuclear weapons because they provided them to us. I never anticipated having to use them in this capacity, but I will if I have to. Minecorps Centre evacuated before doubleheader

Just a few minutes before a World Cup of Hockey doubleheader was to take place at the Minecorps Centre in Rouyn-Noranda, the building was evacuated due to a bomb threat called into stadium authorities. The caller identified himself as Mohammed Jamelle, a radical Islamic terrorist from Coconutstan intent on converting the whole world to Islamic Coconuts. He stated that he had placed one hundred bombs around the inside of the arena and that they would detonate over the course of the next hour. The stadium employee who answered the phone immediately informed security and Rouyn-Noranda Police, who evacuated the arena shortly before Britonisea was to take to the ice against Gregoryisgodistan. Curiously, the Gregoryisgodistani players were still in the locker room. They too left the arena, as did the Britonisea players who were on the ice at the time. For security reasons, the Ice Slaves were allowed nowhere near the Britonisea players.

After police and a bomb squad checked out the arena for several hours, no bombs were found and players and fans were allowed to reenter the arena. The game is expected to begin shortly. The Rouyn-Noranda Chief of Police released a statement saying that this bomb threat was part of a problematic trend called "swatting" where individuals call in a bomb threat or other threat with the intent of causing panic, evacuation, or even a swat team. He believes that this particular swatting incident originated in Gregoryisgodistan, though he declined to comment on whether or not it was related to Lord Almighty Gregory's threats to cause disruption. Members of the group called "Death Squad for Gregoryisgodistani Scum" goes to Rouyn Intercontinental hotel in the city of Rouyn-Noranda, in a winter night.

Terrorists xenophobic, ultra-nationalist and anti Gregoryisgodistan were in their way in an armored van without license plates, speeding toward the hotel, as they talked.

The objectives were ready and assigned in advance, the operation was not going to stop until you see 89 Gregoryisgodistan killed by the same amount of fans they killed from SJG.

"Well, the Queen asked us to attack them without mercy, so we must make the dirty and impure blood of slaves to flow, to brighten the blood of our fallen brothers," shouted one of the terrorists.

"I reached the destination, get ready for the raid!" cried the motorist, to reach the loading area of the hotel.

Upon investigation, it was realized that Mieraskya was listed as being in both Groups C and H. After reviewing our records, it was determined that the Mieraskya in Group C should in fact be the nation of Arany-Putsza. That change has been reflected in today's results and standings.

Miley World wins two in a row!

After defeating Nova Terra Divinia 5-4, the Smilers crushed United States of Devonta 6-2. Miley World scored two goals in the first period,one by Garrett Shaw and the other by Patrick Giguère. Creo James scored a power play goal for United States of Devonta and the score was 2-1 for Miley World after one period. In the second period, Oscar Lindberg, Jiri Spacek and Taylor McNally scored for Miley World. McNally's goal was a slap shot from his own zone that went into the opposite's net. Crasus Talsus scored for United States of Devonta and the score was 5-2 after two period. The only goal of the 3rd period was scored by Cédrick Mercier and Miley World won 6-2. Taylor McNally got a Gordie Howe hat trick, he got an assist on Garrett Shaw's goal in the 1st period, he scored in the 2nd period, and had a fight in the 1st period.

Psychotic hockey players kills five

Those stupid psychotic morons from Gregoryisgodistan strikes again. This time they killed five misogynist morons from Saintland. Gregoryisgodistani players weren't done, in another game they dickapitated and castrated less than 100 awesome Guayabalese fans who did nothing wrong. Gregoryisgodistan's world cup of hockey 24 title has been revoked by the interim president of the world cup of hockey federation. Prime minister of Miley World and president of Hockey Miley World has made a speech about what happened.

"Miley World condemns the gregoryisgodistani hockey team, the nation of Gregoryisgodistan and its stupid dictator, lord not-almighty Gregory for their recent actions in the World Cup of Hockey 25. They killed five misogynist morons from Saintland. Yes we hate Saintland either but it's not a reason to wish their death. And worse, they dickapitated and castrated 100 innocent Guayabalese fans who did nothing wrong. In support for the Guayabalese fans, I announce that every Smilers, boys and girls, should attend to hockey games shirtless. Miley World also condemns Saintland for extinguishing the defunct organization of Feministvs Sanctvsterra, which 1/5 of them has found a refuge in Miley World, I bet Saintland didn't know about it.

Miley World is also pleased that Gregoryisgodistan's tittle has been revoked, and as the president of Miley World Hockey, I suggest this: The first three games of the final shall be played on november 5. Game #1 at 00:05 AM. Game #2 at 12:00 PM (noon) and game #3 at 9:00 PM. all on november 5. Arany-Putszan players finally show their colours

Five games into the World Cup, investigators finally figured out a mystery that has plagued us since the beginning of the tournament. Mieraskya is playing Vaugania, Zenic and co in Group H, while they also played us and Quebec and others in Group C. What their plan was is still unknown, but yesterday their entire plan came crashing down. Just before the Cosumar match began, the first game in Group C to be played yesterday, the Arany-Putszan players were forced to play as their own nation instead of Mieraskya.

The Cosumar anthem was under way when some secret investigators made their way to the media centre of the stadium. After the 'home teams' anthem was over, the first notes of the Mieraskyan anthem were audible before it was cut off (with obligatory sound of a dramatic record needle scratch). The PA came on, and the truth was announced. Some fans immediately left the stadium, presumably actual Mieraskyans who have been in the wrong country since day 1. The Arany-Putszan players were directed back into the dressing room to turn their clothes inside-out, as there obviously were no actual Arany-Putszan shirts there. Hopefully that issue is fixed as soon as possible. When they came back out, they were asked to sing their anthem themselves, resulting in a horribly off-key version of presumably a very nice original, but we are not sure because 6 guys singing in a stadium is more or less inaudible anyway.

Playing as their own country did not help them and Cosumar won 3-0, securing 3rd place for the Ice Dragons for now. The second game of the night, simultaneous with the Ko-orenite game, was a 5-3 win for the Quebecois over Mohawk Clans, and now their total goal production is 22, twice as much as us. We won 3-1 over Narsora, the primary threat to Quebec and Ko-oren (both now have a 4-point lead over the rest of the group). Lastly, in the last game of the night, Isula ge Ru beat Jecatria 5-1.

The Greenblues conceded their fifth goal of the tournament, and it was an unnecessary one. While at least the players did not foul as much and give great powerplay advantages to the opponent, Latirailu was not having a good day and one of the lucky shots Narsora fired at him just went in. We still do not know how exactly, but the puck went right through the five hole. The only good thing was that this goal only happened after Ko-oren scored three so that nobody ever felt like we would lose these points. Konstantinovich was on a roll with two goals, and Novotný scored the third goal. Powerplay advantages played a role in Konstantinovich's first goal and Novotný's goal, and Konstantinovich's second goal was just poor defence on the side of the Narsorans while the centre himself manouvred through the defence majestically, scoring a remarkably easy goal after going through a lot of trouble.

Decisive Win, but...
Seems we played better this time out, but we still allowed too many goals. Which when looking back, perhaps we should have been in 4th place before this game. Especially seeing as Estope was tied on points with us then, while being being ahead on GD. Maybe something changed without anyone even noticing, maybe not. Maybe it doesn’t matter, maybe it does. Maybe I could care less, maybe I care a lot. Whoa, that’s a lot of maybes. Whatever the case we got a win and are set to face off with Estope which will likely decide who moves up to a possible advancement spot. Both teams could use some help from the two above them, after all Torisakia and Borschlandia are set to take each other down on the last match day and depending on what happens over the next couple of days we could be set to use all of those tiebreakers…..hoping they are set in the right order and all.

As for our play, well it was okay for the most part. We still allowed 40 shots from a team that should have (probably) never even made it into our zone. Sure Australian Council is new to this whole thing and they have put up some good fights, but really allowing two goals is just too many for this reporter to stomach. I’m calling it like it is, this hockey program needs some changes and I hope someone that matters is reading this so they understand that the fan base is with me and our play at times been completely and utterly, well, BAD. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we are 3-1-1 but that should be 4-1-0 or maybe even 5-0-0 if we actually played an entire 60 minute game for a change. I suppose that’s enough raging for a few moments, lets just hope we have a complete game against Estope.

As for group news, it looks like three teams have been mathematically eliminated. At least by my math, so lets look shall we? Camerania, thought they would do better, have zero wins and five losses. If, huge if there, they win the last two games that would give them just 4 points which is not nearly enough to get them into an advancement spot. Next, Australian Council, who have played well at times are 0-2-3 giving them two points. But they like the side from Camerania can only get a maximum of four more points, which would land them at 6 total points. Again, not enough to finish in an advancement spot. Then there is Semarland who has a win and a draw along with three losses, giving them 3 points. Assume that they win out, this would give them a total of seven points but seeing as two teams already have 8 they are, well, SOL. Kazirstan has done well for themselves, but even though the math doesn’t eliminate them I don’t see them having a chance. After all they face Borshlandia and Estope to finish out and for them to get the 4 points would probably take a miracle. So I guess that leaves us the current top 4 to duke things out for those two advancement spots. Hopefully we are one of them, but I’m not going to hold my breath while waiting to see what happens. If history repeats itself, like it often does, we’ll end up in fifth place when everything pans out…I desperately hope not but it is possible.

For those unacquainted with the Enemy List, this means the killing of citizens of Miley World is now legal and any Gregoryisgodistani who kills one will receive one million greggygodbucks. By the way, I am also deeply concerned about the orders of Miley World's leader to the fans, male and female, to attend every game shirtless. First of all, I am not even sure it is legal for women to go topless in Quebec or Vaugania, though I would like to see those women arrested so I will not complain about that part. It is worth noting that in Gregoryisgodistan, the bastion of gender equality, women can be topless anywhere men can, which includes swimming pools and beaches, but not most other locations. I do not know if Vaugania and Quebec have the same policy. In any case, this action seems designed to incite a riot among Pervert Chasers and Enemy Crushers and rest assured, if we ever play Miley World, that is exactly what will happen. They will be dickapitated, castrated, and crushed. People need to remember that I am the Lord Your God who created the multiverse on November 5, Year 0000. Furthermore, I am incensed by the suggestion that the first three games of the Championship Series be scheduled on the holiest of holidays, Creation Day. In response to this ludicrous proposal, I will make an equally ludicrous proposal that the first three games all be played on Christmas Day, the holiest of holidays to citizens of Miley World but a relatively minor holiday known as Gregmas here in Gregoryisgodistan. I am sure the players would be more than willing to play three games on Gregmas. The question is whether the heathen Christians will be willing to do so. I am well aware that my proposal will not be accepted for a number of reasons, but it makes about as much sense as Miley World's proposal, so I am making it anyway. Should we instead face a Muslim-majority nation such as Patistan, I would instead propose that the first three games be played on Eid-Al-Fitr, and should we face a Jewish majority nation, which I do not believe there are any of in this tournament, I would propose that the first three games be played on Yom Kippur. We will not play one, yet alone three, games on our most holy day. If you insist on it, then when we host World Cup of Hockey XXVI, we will schedule the entire group stage for Christmas, and the entire knockout stage for the Heathen New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, December 31 and January 1. As you know, the real New Year, as celebrated in Gregoryisgodistan, begins June 1 and ends May 31, so those days aren't even a holiday here. So you will just have to deal with the consequences of your actions for failing to remember that I, Lord Almighty Gregory, created the mulitverse on November 5, Year 0000. You are all heathens and you must face the consequences of your actions. Now Miley World is on the Enemy List. Any other nation who embargoes us will find themselves there as well. There must be no more embargoes or there will be serious consequences. Also, a reminder to Mr. Moon - the clock is ticking on your decision. You now have about 36 more hours to reinstate our title or the nuclear attacks will commence. Please do the right thing. You do not want a nuclear war on your hands. Miley World becomes the 25th nation to be added to the Enemy List after The Kingdom of Costa Luna, Middleton Valley, Saintland, Free Republics, San Jose Guayabal, Alianza Albos, Hicana, The Greater Valkolicci Haven, Patistan, Jeckland, Estenia, Nexxus Drako, New Wolfopolis, The Royal Barangay, Berk Island, The Archregimancy, The Serbian Empire, Acedonia, Costa Luna, Coconutstan, Coconut Isle, Britonisea, North Britonisea, and Super-Llamaland. Some of those nations have been destroyed already by Lord Almighty Gregory (OOC: CTE'd) and some others are the same nation but claim to be separate and so are listed twice. All nations on the Enemy List are Enemies of the Lord and Gregoryisgodistan. They shall all be destroyed eventually.

“Ah I knew it wasn’t that difficult to get back into the ‘groove’, as the kids call it nowadays,” said Giehl as he laid down onto his bed after the game against Super-Llamaland.

And oh did the team get back into the groove. Zenic thrashed Super-Llamaland 7-0 with Jernej getting the first hattrick in Zenic hockey history and a goal each for Herut, Tennison, Jekyll and even Roggeveen. It was a complete domination of their opponents that was very familiar for those having watched the first three matches of the WCoH. Giehl and Tawfeek both knew that they depended a bit too much on Jernej but Giehl still thought that as long as the opponents can’t stop him, there wasn’t a problem.

However, the team also got a bit of help from the other teams: Abanhfleft lost against Vaugania while USI drew against Sudenland. This put Zenic 2 points above USI and Norrehavn as well as 4 points above Abanhfleft and Super-Llamaland. A victory over Abanhfleft and a Norrehavn loss against Vaugania in this match day puts Zenic in a situation where they can advance with only a draw against Norrehavn in the final day of the group stage.

Giehl felt good about the situation the team was in: as long as they kept up with Vaugania as well as ahead of USI and Norrehavn, they would have a spot in the quarterfinals. He had also received some more good news: that a major run in the WCoH could lead to enough interest in ice hockey to justify a professional domestic league. A few years ago, he could have only dreamed of such a thing like a pro domestic league in the empire but now, it could very well be a reality.

And all Giehl had to do for it to happen was to win games: something his team was having no problem doing this year.

Gregoryisgodistan Fans Get Revenge for Ban, Murder Republican Players

Gregoryisgodistani fans, furious at being banned from attending the World Cup of Hockey, have broken into the compound housing the team from Free Republics armed with high-powered weapons and killed multiple players. One fan, identified as Soldier KIDSF9D99, shot both Elena Kennedy and Bertel Ostbye with a machine gun before wounding Nelly Akesson with a grenade. Additionally, another fan, who has not been identified, fatally shot Pataky Alexa and Szakall Balint while wounding two other undisclosed players. The rest of the team managed to escape. All fans involved in the attack are now in the custody of Quebecois police.

Lord Almighty Gregory praised the killings, saying "The fans acted bravely and nobly in response to the restrictions on the Enemy Crushers and other players. Our Enemy Crushers knew they couldn't crush the Republicans tonight, but these fans carried out their mission instead. I want to stress that there is no evidence that the Enemy Crushers ordered the shooting and that there should be no further sanctions on our hockey team as a result. Do whatever you want to the fans involved, but do nothing to punish our players because this isn't their fault. I ordered the attack myself. I did not have the Enemy Crushers do it. I knew the Enemy Crushers might not get a chance to crush again this tournament, so I had the fans do it. I supplied the guns. This is a glorious day for Gregoryisgodistan. Death to Free Republics!"

This marks yet more players from nations on the Enemy List killed during the tournament. Prince Josephus of Saintland and four other players were killed by the Enemy Crushers earlier in the tournament. Additionally, Lord Almighty Gregory released another statement saying "The Republican deaths will be the last deaths we create this tournament if we get our title back. Until we get our title back, our fans and/or players will continue killing players, coaches, and officials. It will not be pretty. Nor will the nuclear war be pretty. However, if you reinstate our World Cup of Hockey 24 title, we will declare a moratorium on killings for the remainder of the tournament, except in cases of self-defense. I feel it is necessary to add that exemption following the attack on our fans and players by wicked people from San Jose Guayabal. However, unless in self-defense, we will not kill, dickapitate or castrate for the rest of the tournament once we get our title back. Until then, any victim is fair game. The markings on his armour --- dark red striping --- signaled he was a member of the Senate Guards; an elite division of the Grand Army of the Republic tasked with protecting not only the Avatar himself, but anyone he appointed them to. From diplomats to athletes, the Senate Guard were the best bodyguards you could find anywhere in Gyatso-kai.
