We exist to create a unified front in our eternal noble crusade against the communist and to resume the fight left off or failed by others... only this time we will succeed. We strifes to put an end to the expansionist communist horde which for so long had been left to expand unchecked, which had grew in numbers and strength that now they threaten the entire free world of NationStates, thus it has fall to us and they must be contained or destroyed in order to preserve the balance of power in the international system and to maintain our way of life, our freedom, liberty and above all our sovereignty. If you and your country share the same stance toward communism, and believes that you can contribute to our cause, and dare to embark on a dangerous journey, to spill blood for our band of nations, feel free to apply for membership.

VISION AND MISSION

• Create, sustain and expand an exclusive role playing community that strives to achieve high quality roleplay in NationStates that are based on a good degree of military realism. In order to achieve that we limit our membership only to good (or acceptable), mature and knowledgeable roleplayers. Though we generally do accept new members with good potentials.

• Promote military realism and high quality Roleplay in NationStates. We are trying to become the best roleplayer in NationStates, therefore each and everyone of us will strifes to improves our own roleplaying qualities, and engaged only in good quality thread, preferably those that can be considered as 'literate RP', 'light novel' RP, or something similar to those.

•Combat all form of"Communism" In Character as long as the roleplays SACTO participates in is in line with our fundamentals mission and vision (see above). Just because we claim to "hunt and kill" communist forces in NS doesn't mean we're engaging in every single roleplay. SACTO will only participate in good quality threads with pre-planned rules or parameters, and also those that are devoid of OOC commentaries, single liners, or worst, metagamer and godmodder.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. TL;DR: We're an alliance that hunts and kills communist (and other sort jingoistic warmonger & those we don't like).
2. If you are not a member do not, repeat, DO NOT post here. All non members posts are considered as spam and will be treated as such. This includes tagging of any kind.
3.This is not a chat thread or Forum 7, all unrelated postings to our cause will be considered spam and will be treated as such.
4. You may apply for membership, and your approval will be decided collectively by the Founders Council, but we reserve the rights to not accept your application. All non Founding members will start as a Trial Member for period of time. Once accepted, you can withdraw at any time you wish, and you and your authorized alternate accounts (puppets) are free to participate in this thread. (Exception of course if you're applying).
5. We value loyalty and active participation, we don't need inactive free rider, and if you are one, we will not hesitate to boot you out. So think twice before applying.
6. We also appreciate good roleplayer with good military knowledge and able to work with others. So if you prefer military realism RP feel free to apply for membership. We don't need immature-lone wolf style-hot headed-pre-adolescence teenagers or people with Internet Tough Guy syndrome.
7. When conducting role play, we play by our rules; we choose whether we wish to RP or not, and we mostly strifes for excellent, good quality RP instead of horrible one liners.
8. Disclaimer: This is merely a game. Our actions in here are based on anti-communist persona, but our action does not necessarily reflects our RL views If you can't handle or out actions is deemed hazardous to your health and well being; then stay out from our path.
9. All existing NS Forum rules shall applies at all times, without any failure.
10: Membership criteria: non communist, human only, moderate center-right, realistic roleplayer.
11. This thread contained both IC and OOC postings, do differentiate between the two before it caused any misunderstanding.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Q: Can I post here if I am not a member?
No. But ask nicely we may consider it. If you a player wishing to apply, then you're allowed to post the application.

Q: What kind of Alliance is the SACTO?
We are officially an anti-communist military alliance; that's our IC function. OOC-ly we are an exclusive group of roleplayer community who likes good quality RP. We are also military realism group.

Q: What are the membership criteria?
You must be anti-communist nation. We do not care about your form of government as long as you want to fight communism. You must also not be a Nazi (Fascists are allowed if they do not commit genocide).

Q: Is the SACTO a fascist organization?
Officially we ideology-less organisation. We fight communism, but do not force specific ideology upon members. Any anti communist can join. Only Nazis are banned.

Q: How come you guys don't accept Observers?
Observers can simply 'bookmark' our thread using the Forum options. We limit our memberships to full and trial members because of security reason, as in the past observers are free to participate in our chatroom and join summit, we're not doing that anymore. Unless you have special clearance.

Q: Where is the registrations form?
It's in the Members and Registrations section. 2nd Post in the thread.

Q: How long does it takes for my application to be reviewed?
~~Initial processing time is 24-48 hours. Final decisions between 2-7 days, and depending on the availability of time and mood of the Founders. (Sometimes we're just too busy).~~ (No longer guaranteed). If you feel it is taking too long, perhaps we have missed or forgotten that so do fire a TG and remind us as it may takes longer than that.

THE TREATY OF SANTIAGO

President and Caudillo of Gran Cuscatlan, President of Inyursta, Imperial Grand Duke of Dewhurst-Narculis, Emperor of Aeyariss, President of Transoxthraxia and Emperor of Korateiro – all of us know that time has come to solidify the friendship which exists between all the member nations, as well as create common front between dangerous ideology called Socialism, which’s reign of terror has engulfed many states which in consequence turned into tyrannies. Knowing of plague communism is in the international scene, member nations decided to sign this pact to create Santiago Anti Communist Treaty Organisation, referred later as SCATO - an attempt to jointly combat this disease.

Since new goals of foreign policy of free nations appeared over the horizon alongside with the pact’s predecessor, Santiago Cooperation Pact, member states of that Alliance decided to reform the former Santiago Cooperation Pact into new Organization, the Santiago Anti Communist treaty organisation. These new opportunities led to solidifying of our goals and creation of SACTO.

United by common faith in our mission, which is to defend the world from communism, Santiago Anti Communist Treaty Organisation founder’s council signs a treaty which forms organization which should last as long as our crusade against communist states is not over:

• Article One: On international cooperation

a) This treaty’s signatories shall remain in contact with each other, consulting other nations on the matters of international affairs connected to fighting communism, as well as jingoist states threatening the member nations.

b) In situation in which an international incident jeopardized cooperation between signatories all signatories nations should immediately contact each other to plot common course of action.

c) If any nation signing this treaty is attacked by foreign power, all other signatories should quickly move towards it’s defense with all means possible.

d) To ensure better military cooperation between member nations, All member nations will cooperate with other members in sphere of military economy and war. Our member nations will ensure that sufficient resources will be delivered to other member nations, ensuring that they will got all resources needed to wage war on red disease known as communism.

• Article Two: Santiago Anti Communist Treaty Organisation

a) SACTO is sovereign military alliance created for purpose of defending member nations from communism as well as other external or internal threats.

b) Powers in SACTO are: Founder’s council, Grand Commander, Lt. Grand Commander and ministers of: Propaganda, Technological Development and Foreign Relations.

c) For first cadency all offices from Former Santiago Cooperation pact – with exception of Grand Commander, who shall be transferred to Lt. Grand Commander – shall be transferred from Santiago Cooperation pact.

d) All active members of Santiago Cooperation Pact are to be transferred to Santiago Anti Communist Treaty Organisation.

• Article Three: Founder’ s council

a) Founder’s council is main administrative body of SACTO. Tasks of the Founders’ Council are: Administration of Alliance, admission of new members, planning changes and overseeing the development of SACTO.

b) Founder Nations until dissolution of the Pact are: Aeyariss, Dewhurst – Narculis, El Cuscatlan, Korateiro, Inyursta, Transoxthraxia.

d) Founder’s are also – alongside with Foreign Relations Minister – responsible for foreign relations of alliance.

• Article Four: The High Command

a) SACTO Grand Commander is highest military title in the alliance. It shall be military man of high rank who has knowledge about military art and military science. Grand Commander may be from founding nation.

b) Lt. Grand Commander is former Grand Commander, who after resigning from post is transported into this position to ensure continuity of command.

c) Major function of The High Command is planning operations against the communist states in Military and Political spectrum.

d) Grand Commander has Fast Reaction corps under his command. FRC are first line of defense against Global communism, made of donated troops from member nations.

e) Position of Grand Commander is elective. Elections shall be held every 3 months.

• Article five: The Ministers

a) In SACTO exist three different ministers: Minister of Propaganda, technological development and Foreign relations.

b) Minister of Propaganda shall be elected ever 4 months, and has to posses graphic stills enough to make sure that people will hear about our cause.

c) Minister of Technological development is elected every 4 months and has to posses technological knowledge enough to plan technological development of SACTO Militaries.

d) Minister of foreign Relations, elected every 4 months should posses diplomatic skills to ensure the cooperation between the SACTO and rest of the world in fighting communism.

• Article six: Admission to the Alliance

a) Member state of SACTO must be anti communist nation. National Socialists are not allowed because of the fact they differ none from communists. Fascists are allowed, under condition they will not commit genocide.

b) Form of government is irrelevant in this alliance as long as you are anti-communist and do not commit genocide. Candidate must also show good skills and be willing to contribute to the alliance.

c) After the interview is complete, founder or Grand Commander shall take decision: to accept or not to accept the member nation.

d) Founder’s decision must be confirmed by another founder or grand commander.

e) People responsible for recruitment and acceptance are founders and/or Grand Commander/Lt. Grand Commander.

• Article seven: Ending words:

a) This treaty enters into action at the moment of it’s signing.

b) It can be dissolved by 4/6 founder’s votes.

c) It can be amended by 4/6 Founder council’s votes.

-The Syndicate was the exclusive Private Military Contractor for the Anti-Communist Alliance from its inception until its dissolution.
-The Syndicate is the exclusive Private Military contractor for La Falange Di Fascisti, an alliance of fascist states with very anti-communist tendencies.
-The Syndicate successfully beat back Communist forces both on land and on sea while in contract with the Anti-Communist Alliance.
-The Syndicate is currently employed in Hayabusa, Delmonte, and several other nations that cannot be disclosed to actively combat Convist and Communist elements.

And this is not an exhaustive list of our experience. Suffice it to say that we are very, very good at killing Communists. Because your mission is very much in line with our interests, we would like to offer our considerable services and experience to you at a steep discount. If you sign an exclusive Private Military Contract with us, we will pledge to join you with a minimum of eighty percent of our available forces for any conflict you may encounter. The precise terms of the contract would, obviously, involve payment. And this is not an exhaustive list of our experience. Suffice it to say that we are very, very good at killing Communists. Because your mission is very much in line with our interests, we would like to offer our considerable services and experience to you at a steep discount. If you sign an exclusive Private Military Contract with us, we will pledge to join you with a minimum of eighty percent of our available forces for any conflict you may encounter. The precise terms of the contract would, obviously, involve payment. We believe that, given the amount of firepower and experience we bring to the table, two trillion NSD per year as a catch-all would be very generous (particularly given that similar contracts with individual nations run considerably more). This would entitle you to our assistance in any conflict, no matter what, no questions asked. If the conflict was initiated by your alliance there would be a copay of 250 billion NSD, a pittance, really. And, obviously, we would ask for security deposits for any units we engage in the event of conflict, which is quite standard, all or most of which you would get back (plus inflation) at the end of the conflict.

In light of this partnership with your alliance, we would also perform any of our normal services for your members discounted by ten percent. I do hope that you consider our offer. And if these numbers aren't acceptable, I'm not necessarily in the basement yet. We might be able to find numbers that are acceptable to both parties.

Signing in. If you want my two cents, Ardoki, your human rights' record is laughable at best, and downright horrid at worst. However, due to Transoxhraxia's questionable treatment of certain minorities within and outside of our nation, we do not judge one's actions on their human rights' records. Any radical left country is targeted by Transoxthraxia, and I can probably saw the same for the rest of SACTO.
