Shooter attacks School

"Welcome back to Northern 5 News special report. We are currently receiving information that a school shooting is currently taking place. From what we have heard, the shooting is taking place at the year round St. Clare Catholic Middle School in Defiance, Virginia. The Defiance City Police Department is on scene and is attempting to enter the school. We currently have no information regarding the shooter or the children. We do know that is one thousand students who age is ranging from 11 to 15 years of age. None of the students have been able to leave the building. Please stay tune for more information."

The war against the terrorists in the Batavian East Indies is still raging on as Batavian forces and their allies try to take back the terrorist-occupied city of Serang on the island Java. Allied reinforcements have already landed in the harbour of Jakarta and a tactical meeting is happening right now. Other nations are supplying materials to the allied forces, which should give them the upper hand soon.

The terrorist organization behind this is presumably called the "Holy State", which has close ties with other terrorist organizations in the Middle East and are trying to subdue the Batavian East Indies and make their religion obligatory. The Batavian authorities believe they are in the colony because they want to free their "brothers" with the same religion who live there.

"Terrorists Strike Serenity Plaza! Marshall Law Declared!"

Today Serenity Square was rocked by four explosions that killed 673 people and placed more than 2,000 on the injured list with about 240 on the critical list. This is the first act of terror in the Holy Empire in over 40 years. Two hours after the bombs in Serenity Plaza had been detonated three bombs went off across the city. The first struck the Media Tower, which housed the Imperial Information Ministry. The tower collapsed less than twenty minutes later adding to the death toll. The second bomb was detonated in the Temple of Veritas, killing all 455 people inside and wounding many onlookers outside. The youngest brother of the Holy Emperor, Prince Julius is presumed dead as he was inside the Temple at the time. The third and final bomb was detonated just outside the city's Imperial Guard Barracks, damaging the building and killing 359 people and wounding upwards of 500. The current death toll has reached upwards of 3,000 and members of the Imperial Defense Ministry say that is likely to rise as the bodies are pulled from the rubble. "Tonight is going to be a long night, not only for the nation and the city, but for those affected by this egregious attack on our people, our nation and our very way of life. My heart goes out to all my people," a statement that was released once the power had been restored to the Imperial Palace, by His Imperial Majesty, Holy Emperor Arcadius (II) of Great House Caelia.

The Holy Emperor was taken to an undisclosed location until the situation can be ascertained as to what threat, if any is posed to the remainder of the Imperial Household and the Government. Tribune Gaius Maccius has declared Marshall Law in Presidium Citadel, issuing a curfew at 6p.m. local time until 8a.m. tomorrow morning and this curfew will continue as such until Marshall Law is removed. Citizens are asked to please refrain from unncessary travel throughout the city. The Imperial Quarter, housing the Embassies of Glory Communist Norway, Greater Gaelicland, Greater Weselton, Pino Grand Fenwick, The Arx,Benjamin Mark, and Magnifex has been cordoned off and all staff not pertaining to the Imperial Government or to the Embassies will not be allowed into this section of the city until further notice. The Governments of all Embassies in the Holy Empire will be notified shortly of the attack. We expect security to be hightened at all Embassies and barricades will be temporarily erected outside all Embassies and Government Buildings by the Imperial Guard Forces within Presidium Citadel. Further more a travel restriction is now in affect for Presidium Citadel. All air, land and sea traffic in and out of the city is hereby prohibited until further notice. Unless on Government business no trains or aeroplanes will be coming into or leaving the city. All Civilian traffic will be directed to the other cities in the region. The Holy Emperor will give his response tomorrow evening when the casualty count is more settled. The IPM (Islamic People's Militia) has made several attacks against civilian and military targets in Hatay. The government has struck back with limited success, as the leadership of the IPM continues to evade military forces. Attacks by the IPM include a suicide bombing, several shootings, and arson. The government has infiltrated several IPM bases, and air struck an important IPM stronghold, yet the IPM holds strong. They are known to have about 5,000 fighters and are recruiting more. Terror Spills on "Airtight" Defence Council's Lid.

An alleged member of the defunct East Pacific Islamic Liberation Front released classified documents about proposed military installations in the capital, La Rochelle.

Adopting an online persona, the Black Mist, Ahmed Rahman released classified documents containing details of the purchase, construction and assembly plans for weapons, equipment and facilities for the Oan Isles' military.

Spokesperson for the National Security Council, Ed Johnson said, "The ignominious release of classified documents does not reflect a discrepancy or major failure of our security systems. The documents were outdated and the proposals contained therein received marginal support".

Experts are sceptical as to whether or not the aforementioned is true. Io Uoa, military analyst contradicts the NSC's assertions, "In an attempt to exude solidity, the government has evaded the subject. The proposals within the documents for the purchase of a mobile missile deflection unit reflects a recently published white paper on what the Oan Isles' future defence capabilities look like".

The government has taken up legal action against Rahman. It must be asked: what implications could release of sensitive information have on defence planning? Would this compromise the Oan Isles' defence by exposing strategic moves? Would this question our credibility among our allies? It's tough to say. Please comment.
