The Legion Foundation is a private non-profit foundation founded in 25 September 2014 by Mr Haden Legrand, CEO of The Legion Corporation. The Legion Foundation was founded with the idea of giving back to society, after the Legion Corporation's successful ventures into the international market. The Foundation is driven in by the interests and passions of the Mr Legrand and Legion Corporation, with the guiding principle to promote the arts, education, as well as creative thinking, ideas and solutions. We want to empower those with the potential to make a difference. The Legion Foundation is currently endowed at NS$102 billion dollars, secured by two trustees, Mr Legrand himself, and Mr Fred Walken, the Executive Chairman of the Legion Corporation.

The Legion Foundation continually accepts donations and contributions of any amounts, in an effort to embrace fairness and equality, and makes an effort to acknowledge anybody who contributes however little. The Legion Corporation, its parent company, contributes 3% of annual profits to the foundation, at an estimated NS$46.7 billion each year(2014).

Dr Susan Desmond has been appointed as the President of the Legion Foundation.

"I would like to thank the Legion Foundation for helping our country recover from civil war, in areas where there was poor infrastructure and where agricultural capacity had been damaged by war. The Agricutural Reform Project has enabled communities to grow their own food and has saved many lives. This could not have been done without the generous support of the Foundation. Partnership with Callaban in being advised of the possibility of obtaining grants and making available the resources such as aquaponics kits and the dirigible transport to deliver them has been a godsend. I recommend any who can contribute to the Legion Foundation in any way to do so. It has reminded me that even in a troubled world there are people who are altruistic and use their resources wisely."

  The Marbles Centre is the headquarters of the Legion Foundation, the non-profit foundation set up by the Legion Corporation to promote the arts, education, as well as creative thinking, ideas and solutions. This building encompasses the foundation leadership as well as the central administrative location for all its international operations. The Marbles Centre was constructed by Mr Jimmy Chan, the Chief Architect of the Legion Constructions, and the building was kindly donated by Legion Constructions for this non-profit organisation. Named after the Sir Albert Marbles, the largest philanthropist in the history of the Recon Empire, the Marbles Centre is a magnificent and elegantly designed building, housing one of the world's largest foundations.

Her Majesty Empress Joan succeeded the Chairmanship of the Foundation from Emperor Haden after his abdication. Continuing the Emperor's legacy, Empress Joan has plans to develop the Legion Foundation into something more than just charitable and humanitarian causes. By giving it meaning and purpose, the Foundation has goals set into social advocacy through political, business and community work. The Legion Foundation continues to grow in its annual contributions from its parent corporation, Legion Corporation, as it reaches the NS$200 billion mark under the leadership of our new Chairman.

Mr Fred Walken has been a long-time partner to Mr Legrand in his endeavours in the Legion Corporation. Being the Executive Chairman of the Legion Corporation, he assists Mr Legrand in many of the shareholder operations, and has personally acquainted with Mr Legrand for over 10 years. Mr Walken is one of the co-chair and trustee for his tireless efforts in pushing for the Legion Foundation's conception. From the very beginning of the Legion Corporation, a small corporation in the Recon Empire, to the global conglomerate today, Mr Walken has been a pivotal character in its journey, and now as the Co-Chair and one of the two trustees, Mr Walken provides his genuine and professional advice and suggestion to the Foundation's vision and direction, and assisting them in the creative solutions and programs.

Susan Desmond

Foundation President

Dr Susan Desmond is the Foundation President of the Legion Foundation, holding the top executive position in the leadership. Dr Desmond believes in transforming the world through the vibrancy of the education and the arts, as well as the flourish of creativity and originality in ideas and solutions. She has held various top roles in the Legion Corporation's creative branch, serving as Creative Director in Legion Entertainment, as well as Chief Executive of the Legion X Campus. Dr Desmond has also written several journals and papers about the importance of critical thinking and creativity, earning her the esteemed von Biber award for pedagogy and education.

Dr Desmond graduated from the Rodgers College of Education, founded by Dr. Rodger McKenzie, one of the various institutions of the MacKenzie dynasty. She received her MA in teaching as well as a MPhil in music education, and was awarded her PhD in Education, for her thesis on "Voucher policies and responses of three actors: Private schools, Public schools, and Parents"

Dr Desmond strives to spread the awareness of our causes and leads the foundation in this key position. Dr Desmond is the 3rd President of the Legion Foundation, succeeding Dr Kennedy Lee, the current Chief Executive of Legion Hospital Corporation.

Dr Jim Bailey is the Chief Executive of the Legion Foundation. Born into a educational family, to entrepreneur Sir Ferdinand Bailey and educational lecturer Professor Amanda Bailey, he has strong believes in the potential of education as well as the need for community service. Dr Bailey has held many educational positions, teaching at universities nationwide. Dr Bailey has also worked in the rural communities of the Kingdom of Ferron, teaching for over 5 years to the children there.

Dr Bailey graduated from Kinstail McKenzie Institute of Science and Engineering, with a Doctor of Science in Psychology. He has helped countless patients through his career and hopes to devote his life to charitable causes.

Dr Bailey assists the Foundation in its daily runnings, helping to coordinate the most important projects that directly impact our beneficiaries.

Dr Audrey MacKenzie is a leading public figure in development of grassroots efforts and NGOs. She has helped many NGOs reach footing in the global market, such as the Albert Marbles Foundation and etc. Dr MacKenzie is married to Sir Eugene MacKenzie, the third child of Dr Kinstail McKenzie, the Premier of the Recon Empire. Dr MacKenzie has served on the advisory boards of many governmental organizations, such as the Premier's Advisory Board, the Privy Council as well as the Societal Development Board in the Ministry of National Development. She has also served a term as the Deputy Minister of Community.

Dr Audrey MacKenzie graduated from the Imperial University of Dion with a PhD in Sociology, and holds an MA in Environmental Sociology and an MBA in Business Administration. Dr MacKenzie hopes to spread her knowledge and help the foundation develop internationally as well as broaden its scope to reach out to organizations and people in need.

Our Cause

The Legion Foundation's main causes is to fund meaningful and charitable causes that support creative and courageous thinking, promoting original ideas and solutions. We cater to all purposes and functions and we give out grants to projects that require funding and present the authenticity and originality in it.

We seek for creative entrepreneurs, leaders, and inventors, with the passion in what their doing, and the vision they set for their future. We want to groom these talents and make them succeed.

As Mr Legrand's principle beliefs in grooming new talent, through his endeavours as the monarch of The Recon Empire and The Crown Federation of Recon, on top of his Legion Corporation occupation, the Legion Foundation wants to support these creativity to be ingrained in the world.

The Legion Foundation also supports the arts and education, as these aid the growth of potential to our children and to groom them into future creative minds.

Whether it is a new business venture, a large-scale community project, or a new product or idea, we hope to find the most ideal way to make it happen.

Education

The Legion Foundation believes in promoting education for everybody. We believe that there is potential in everyone and we want to realize it. Over 60% of the Legion Corporation's employees have gone for post-employment education, that has helped them gained new insight and skills to work more efficiently and more intelligently. We seek to offer scholarships and subsidies for people who truly want to learn and strive to get better. We are also interested in partnering with other organizations to push for these causes.

The Legion Foundation also believes in a world of the arts. Arts is the epitome of human civilization, where our culture and heritage is exhibited at its finest. We want a world that is filled with colours and sounds, one where your emotions and feelings can flourish. We seek to grow artists and artistic programs that help promote these causes. These creative minds of our society should not be left behind. However, knowing that it is difficult, we are here to help. The Legion Foundation hopes to partner with organizations to host artistic events, programs, that help push for artistic causes.
