Nymun Izarbegiratzeak reacts to the news of his party’s landslide victory.

"I'm just a boy from up north who had a dream. I never thought this would ever happen. There once was a dream that was Ghant. It shall be realized."- Nymun Izarbegiratzeak upon learning that his party won the general election.

(Ghish, Ghant)- The Independent Coalition has won the general election in a landslide victory, leaving all other parties in tatters for the first time since the 1972 General Election, the last time Malderi Haribec and the vaunted Labor Party were the goliath of Ghantish politics.

The Independent Coalition now has a formidable 450 seats (including the speaker) - the largest any party has ever taken since 1940. The second place party, the Liberal party, took just 105, the largest gap between parties in a General Election since 1940, when the Labor party dominated the Conservatives.

General Election day saw the polls open from 7 am to 7 pm. The results came in overnight. The new Parliament will meet on September 7th, and the State Opening of Parliament will be on September 14th.

Nymun Izarbegiratzeak - at 69 the second oldest prime minister in Ghantish history - promised he would deliver "purpose, dignity and accountability. A fresh start for Ghant".

Liberal Party leader Deboru Luken was triumphant on a day that saw his party win 50 seats, the best achievement for the party in the past 14 years.

Tomorrow afternoon Mr. Izarbegiratzeak will announce the members of his first cabinet.

Many Conservatives blame their disastrous performance on “the Zimyan smear campaign”, orchestrated as “retaliation against us by the Socialists for destroying their credibility with the no confidence vote.”

The Independent Coalition is holding an election party tonight at the Imperial Festival Hall.

Izarbegiratzeak was with his supporters at the Nibbler headquarters in Ghish when the elections results came out confirming the victory of the party he helped create. He managed to celebrate the results with his friends and supporters, before leaving to go to the Imperial Palace to be formally appointed by the Emperor of Ghant himself.

Crowds lined the route waving flags as he was driven to the Imperial Palace to be formally appointed by the Emperor.

Izarbegiratzeak, otherwise known as “Ile” (or Hair in English), Addressed the media while en route to the Palace. "I have spent most of my live making jokes and being funny. For the first time in my life, I would like to take the opportunity to do something and be serious about it."

Who is Nymun Izarbegiratzeak?

Nymun Orzabal Izarbegiratzeak was born on December 22, 1944, in Gauekoizarra, Ghant. His father was Orzabal Izarbegiratzeak, an editor for a local newspaper, and his mother was Ermesande Izanora, a city archivist. The Izarbegiratzeaks were a small, petty noble family, and Nymun was their only child. Orzabal was a veteran of the Ghantish Revolution, having joined the rebel forces. Young Nymun grew upon it the "Jewel of the North", during a time when Ghant was undergoing great changes. Yet, in Gauekoizarra, there was more of the same.

Nymun was a spirited, energetic and intelligent child who excelled in school and learned fast. Even from an early age, it was said that he had a penchant for making people laugh.

”I remember when Nymun was 4, I took him to the doctor for an annual checkup. The nurse was asking all the standard coordination type questions–touch your nose, put your hands up, jump, etc. Being a healthy capable little boy, he was doing everything fine. Then, the nurse said, “stand on one foot.” Nymun looked at the nurse, looked down, and hesitated. Then he walked over and stood on one of the nurse’s feet. That was when I knew that Nymun was a very special boy.”- Ermesande Izanora, 1980

After graduating at the top of his class from Gauekoizarra general, Nymun attended the prestigious University of Ghish beginning in 1966. He began coursework in the Political Science program, initially wanting to pursue a career in public service. It was during this time that he adopted his signature hairstyle, which he supposedly has never deviated from since 1963. It earned him the nickname “hair”, and it has stuck ever since

”You know, like many young people in my generation, I was searching for an identity, something that could help define me. I remember my second semester down there, I got so busy with studying, that I couldn’t find the time to get my haircut. One weekend, I went out with some friends with my hair long, and I got a lot of compliments. Apparently, the people though it made me appear interesting, and it made everybody laugh at my jokes more. So I rolled with it.”

Despite the fact that his grades were among the best in his program, having made the Dean’s List every semester, he became disillusioned with the political process.

Rather than go to work in a political organization or a government agency, Nymun instead got involved in comedy. He did standup comedy and satirical pieces in the late 60s. He helped found the Nibbler in 1968 with some satirists, journalists and comedians in 1968.

”You know, in this day and age, politics is just so divisive and cutthroat. I have come to the conclusion that it is, in fact, better to mock the game than to play and compromise one’s virtues in the process.”- Nymun Izarbegiratzeak, 1968.

Nymun eventually returned to the University of Ghish, and completed his Doctorate in political science in 1972.

Nymun went by the pen name “Nymun Izzy” on all of his books.

During the 1970s, Dr. Izarbegiratzeak continued to do standup comedy, write satirical pieces for the Nibbler, and wrote satirical books that often lampooned contemporary Ghantish society, foreign affairs, and world leaders.

Calroni insists he will maintain his constituency seat in Griswald as the government coalition elects a new leader

Lord High Chancellor Calroni spoke with his Cabinet first before announcing his resignation in the Chamber of the Consei-Estadi.

Hambeuchen economy was increased by 10,5% and made it one of the richest and biggest financial countries in Sondria, finance i the leading sector right now, instead of trade which was the leading sector for 278 years. Finance finally become the leading sector but also gives more and more money to Hambeich. Selling fish and crabs is the leading part of it but also vehicle selling and expansion of the National Bank but also the creation of other 2 banks, Sundenhausen Cetral Bank and Gecko Bank. Industrialisation is also a leading part today as the vehicles are built by Automobile Industry Xenos. Xenos has sold over 45.000.000 Cars to Hambeuchen people and today Xenos has 76.000.000 cars sold to Hambeuchen and foreigners. This gives 120.000.000 Faroan Kronas per year to the industry and 45.000.000.000 Faroan Kronas per year to the nation. But on September 5th Hambeich has taken over 2.005.000.000 Faroan Kronas that day which meant that nation had a very sudden increase of economy.

Hambeich right now is also dealing alliance treaties and a lot of other turbulences. Hambeuchen diplomats were sent to Victoriala but failed to make an alliance as Hambeich didn't want any other influence than theirs to their areas. Al Hafa attack

9th Mechanized infantry E compnay 6 squad all but 2 of the 10 men survived the attack. This was the last picture that was taken before the squad was attacked

The 9th Mechanized battalion, E company was on a stand patrol around the mountains of the eastern border when 6 squad was ordered to disembark from their IFVs and told to secure a pass. The squad when beyond the visible range of the rest of E company when from afar a ambush group from the Al Hafa terrorist group open fired on the squad. There was only 2 men of 6 squad that survived a sniper team, Sgt Jivera a experienced soldier(far left) took Pvt Zeddavikov (men behind the camera) a recruit only 2 months out of training and watched as most the squad 6 was taken out by mines and traps however this did not stop the two as they took out 6 AL Hafa men who were shooting on squad 6. General Rusjov has already ordered anti-guerilla forces to secure the area. Al Hafa have said the reason they have attacked Greater Liverpool was mainly due to a terrorist linked political group was banded and their leaders arrested and killed. The Government has said they will step up operations in the east in order to make peace in the east. The government have also said that another attack on Liverpool is unlikely as they make sure that terrorism will never reach the shores of greater Liverpool.

After the tough training of becoming a Airborne regiment officer the Crown Prince Davit (2nd in line) marched along his men in the recent passing out parade of the airborne regiment. At the age of 21 he is youngest severing Kapitan in all severing branches of the armed forces. His father talked about "from a young age Davit always wanted to be in the armed forces and from a young age he had heard about the Airborne and how only the best can get into. For so long he tried so hard in order for him to get to this position where he is the youngest Kapitan". He is said to be part of 1st airborne regiment and part of C company and as a officer he will control over 100 men who will look for his leadership in battle. "I don't want to be treated differently from the other guys. I don't soldiers calling me Crown Prince but instead use my Rank of Kapitan. I was born to be Crown Prince I am more happy with me being a Kapitan then being a Crown Prince" Davit said to us. He is believed to be one of the best young commanders and even a replacement for General Rusjov when he leaves the armed forces.

President Carter Announces New Ties With Hambeich; FIDA Promises Military Aid

Vienna, Crontor Administrative District- Following a flurry of communications between the Imperial Federation and the Konigreich of Hambeich, President Norman Carter formally announced the formation of a Defensive Cooperation Treaty between the two nations. Passing the Imperial Congress with a unanimous consent, this represents the first of many foreign policy initiatives that have been laid out by the Carter Administration. The agreement, which involves joint security arrangements, base sharing, and military aid is the first of what many predict will be a period of aggressive diplomacy in Telraina. Although President Carter was not in Hambeich to conduct talks, Minister of State Darren Coby and Director of the Federal International Development Agency (FIDA) Carina Royston spent the better part of the week fleshing out a deal with Hambeich.

Livanian Chancellor demands Sarrin-Relimaark devolved annexation

Progressive Conservative Leadership Race: The Race to Chancellorship

Rien-Stadt, Capital District - Baron Calroni stepped down from the Chancellorship yesterday morning after being pressured by his party and the coalition to reconsider the Old-World Policy. Currently, the party is still deciding on a convention date and location — one source said it will be in the Rien-Stadt — spending limits and entry fees for candidates and a convention format. But that did not stop five contenders from the Progressive Conservative Party announced their candidacy for leadership.

The winner of this leadership race will be the Lord High Chancellor until the General Elections in June 2015.

The candidates:

Toivo Lehtonen, the current energy minister in the High Council of the People. He currently represents the Marlenne-Northwest Riding.
Lumi Ilvesniemi, a PC backbencher and former appointed head of Hydro Gristol-Serkonos. She currently represents the Rien-Stadt Centre Riding.
Ferdinand Arendse, a PC backbencher and one of three civilian members of the Imperial Defence Council. He currently represents the Peresjö East Riding.

After months of heavy debate within the Ziaema, the Ziaema has just passed the International Mutual Defence Act of 2014. The International Mutual Defence Act or IMD is a bill which alters the current Dewedeni Constitution. Currently the Dewedeni Constitution strictly prohibits North Deweden from joining any international military alliance under the Deroburg Accords. However in a bold move made by Starl and his Dewedeni Nationalist Party, with the passing of the International Mutual Defence Act of 2014, the current Dewedeni Constitution will be altered removing the strict third amendment. Which for 9 years has prevented North Deweden from joining NEDO.

President Starl appeared in the Ziaema, following the passing of the bill, today to deliver a short speech, in which he urged Parliament to approve North Dewedeni membership into the Northeastern Defense Organization stating: "For almost decade the rogue pseudo fascist state called Rietumimark has threatened North Dewedeni sovereignty and regional stability. The Rietumish defence budget is growing yearly and joint Dewedeni-Valisian efforts to contain Rietumish military power is diminishing. The passing of the bill has been immediately condemned by the Dewedeni opposition. This morning in the streets of New Kolkatta, 12.000 people have gathered up outside the Parliamentary Building asking for independence, thier leader of the movement Andra Kradesh, was keeping their heads up, in every place in Indo-Hambeich his voice was heard and summed up the people, all his followers, all Indo-Hambeich. This is about to be heard in all of Sondria, inspiring billions of people and follow him in his democratic movement. The government of Indo-Hambeich is talking with the monarch and his ministers about that movement and if something not good for Hambeuchen people will happen then this country will take the arms and fight for their independence, this thing is spoken all along Hambeich, Indo-Hambeich and to the areas where Indo-Hambeichen majorities are. This is not a usual independence movement it's the unification of a whole civilization and the creation of a new one. The people will vote next week if they want independence or not and as the results say 75% of the people want independence 20% hasn't voted and 5% only disagrees with indpendence, this concerns the Hambeuchen government because Indo-Hambeich holds 45% of the nation's economy and it's the leading center of trade, culture and tourism, if this place gains independence, Hambeich will have a free fall to their economy, trade, culture and tourism. Thus also losing every chance of becoming a continental power and have a sphere of influence, they will begin again and it will take lots of time to recover. Indo-Hambeich on the other will expand their sphere of influence they created, tourism will increase, culture will increase, government with its own rules created, more freedom to the people, higher economy, less suicides and new more advanced military will be created.

If Indo-Hambeich becomes independent it will be the giant of military and economy, but also religion, as people there are all religious with no atheists. The country has the largest pecentage of Hindus in the world with 92% overlaping the 88% of Nepal. The country has the largest Vishnu temple named Vishnu Aprashadabi in New Kolkatta northern suburbs. Hindus from all over the nation come and see this temple but also pray inside it, this is also the biggest tourist attraction in Indo-Hambeich because the temple's beauty isn't the only thing but also a Vishnu 10 metre statue is outside looking the beautiful mountains and the green forest.

Hamburg City, Hamburg - A German citizen of Chinese ethnicity has become the first person of his ethnic group to be elected to the Reichstag, following a by-election in the electoral district of Hamburg Nord in the State of Hamburg.

Xi Wencheng, a long-time Party member, was officially declared the winner of the Hamburg Nord Single-Member Constituency by-election with 65% of the total vote, in a gruelling electoral race that saw him pitted against fellow Party member Otto Lanz for the parliamentary seat.

The Hamburg Nord electoral seat was left vacant two weeks ago following the unexpected passing of incumbent Member of Parliament Dr. Christoph Kollehn from a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. After the Reichstag announced the opening of nominations for prospective candidates, Xi was one of two candidates to put his name forward for the purpose of contesting the seat. Preliminary campaigning for both candidates commenced shortly afterwards with voters in Hamburg Nord heading to the polls after a week of canvassing by the two candidates.

Both candidates adopted widely contrasting positions during the course of campaigning with Xi pledging to serve as a "voice for the elderly and the young children" and to canvass for more legislation aimed at addressing the needs of these two age-groups. Lanz on the other hand, ran his campaign on a platform of environmental conservation and job-creation for the residents of Hamburg Nord.

After polls had closed at 8pm and ballot boxes had been delivered from polling stations to the counting centre at the Hamburg City Hall, word soon began to trickle that Representative Xi was edging the contest by a narrow margin.

Right up until the official announcement made by the returning officer shortly before 11pm, the margin of victory was expected to be close. However, the official results revealed a startlingly different outcome, with Xi taking nearly 65% of the total vote in a crushing margin that astounded almost every political observer and analyst.

"Even before polling day, no one could imagine that a relatively political novice like Xi Wencheng would win the vote, much less with such a landslide victory." stated one political commentator.

During a press briefing at the Park Inn Hotel, Xi thanked voters for their confidence in him and said his top priority would be a smooth handover. He also promised to ensure that the needs and demands of the residents of Hamburg Nord would be met and that he "would spare no effort in managing the district diligently."

In a statement released by the Reich Chancellery, the Reich Chancellor and Fuhrer said he respected the choice of Hamburg Nord voters, and congratulated Xi Wencheng for his victory.

"The results of this by-election have clearly shown that through Fascism, only the most-qualified candidates, regardless of their ethnicity or religious background, will be elected to the Reichstag to carry out their functions of serving the German people and the State. I congratulate Representative Xi on his electoral victory and trust that he will continue to discharge his new responsibilities faithfully and competently."

The Great Senate approved the flying of the Viktorikan flag in Villa Quirina as sign of respect to the delegation and the upcoming summit. Although the whole of Quirina is a diverse lot, the Senate still stood for impartiality from political agenda and kept on it since then. The flag shall be lowered after the first day of the Congress and will raise the new National Banner of the Great Republic, which shall be revealed to the public and to the world after the red banner is lowered.

Germania, Brandenburg - The Reich Government has officially protested the decision by the Viktorikan state authorities in Quirina to host a summit of the Workers' International, an action which has been considered unacceptable to the Greater Aryan Race.

IGSDF to deploy troops overseas in Beblis
For the first time in the country's history the Sovereign Empire deploys troops in foreign soil.

New Jets and old new ones

I was at the Rio airshow today which I go to every year and report back to Soldato Do Império which again I do every year. However this year is was different, I would later find out why it was so different. You see every year the airshow is run by Rio de Costa council but this year it was a different group running this year, The Imperial Air Force. As I looked around I saw that there was a lot more armed forces personal and I mean a lot more with that there was also a large recruitment section dedicated to finding new personal to join the ranks of the Imperial Air Force and i was most pleased with how large the line was. But you want to know what aircraft and I am only going to go into 2 of the aircraft there. The first is the GT-1 (left)this is a brand new aircraft to replace the outdated MiG series that we lend of the Russian government. It's role is to be air superiority and to be tasked with attacking aircraft while in stealth. It will become Liverpool's main fighter jet by 2020. The second aircraft is the new Tornado GR 5 which was bought off the British government after they said they will discontinue the project. The Tornado has always been used a attack bomber and the new GR 5 is not exception as it fits the same role. What is different you might be wondering to yourself well there is a new more powerful jet engine so now it can create a sonic boom. The aircraft is made of a different metal it is made of a much lighter steel and now can carry much bigger payloads like the all new 3000 lbs hyper bomb.

The new council candidates have been presented to the public just yesterday, and the new candidates themselves presented their plans for what is to come. The younger candidates—namely Dhan Jo, Ikan Daung and Vara Butara—have shown a very promising platform for the next 4 years, even though the big three (Zai Awongha, Bhangshi Duc and Rongqun Bwigden) remain to be the more popular candidates. Their respective parties have begun their campaigns and some political analysts will see the coming elections as a coming "power-balancer" within the Crimson Court.

"What I want for Victoriala", as Dhan Jo said in his speech yesterday, inspired by Gandhi, "true governance in the purest sense of that western term. And I will strive to make that happen. No factions, no power struggles. Just good governance." True enough, Dhan Jo is the current leader of the Liberalist Advisory Party.

The Electuobs for the next Advisory Council of the Crimson Court shall begin next Friday.

When the government announced that they are going to recruit artists for the new "Kingdom of the People" Tourism campaign, there is only one thing that I'm going to say about it that can be explained in the next parts of this article: I don't like it. Why? Let me tell you why.

First off, the government commissioned artists. Independent and underground artists. Artists like me. Our art is supposed to be an extension, a reflection of ourselves. What we truly are. What we want to describe. What we want to say and think about. And the government just blew it. Why? Because we are currently breathed down our necks. We are being stripped off our integrity and what we want to stand for. Hey, at least our styles retained, right? (Cymbals crash)

Anyway, it's like calling a class "creative writing" yet you are being forced to stick on what the teacher wants to do for you as if we are lazy asses who needs a framework to make good art. But that isn't good art. Art is what we are. A sign of creative freedom that are pursued by what do we want to say, act, draw, paint and write. That's art. But Crimson C, what you are trying to make out of my fellow artists is degrading. Your campaign says that diversity is great and should be improved, but what you are doing now isn't a support of diversity. This is not art, it's propaganda.

If you want to make your project look good, let them do their own thing.

Or stay out of the way.

Fall session begins; anti-cyberbullying legislation to be tackled first.
The fall session is the first test of Cynthi Valtorum as the Lord High Chancellor, anti-cyberbullying legislation enables law enforcement to gather internet, cellphone metadata easily.

Lights are on last night at the Populue Palati as the Consei-Estadi and the Consei-Senati meets for the fall seating of the Rieshistagi.

Rien-Stadt, Capital District Region- MCEs and Senators are heading back to Rien-Stadt this week – with Rieshistagi’s fall session expected to focus largely on holdover issues from the spring, including prostitution, cyber-bullying and the first reading of the 2015 Budget. Some new bills are expected, including one enacting parts of the 2014 budget. This is also an important event for the newly elected Cynthi Valtorum as the new Lord High Chancellor of Gristol-Serkonos. As the leader of the next three years, Valtorum has a chance to cement her leadership of the Progressive Conservatives. Here are the things to expect for the upcoming fall session of the Rieshistagi.

The government coalition is expected to introduce a private member's bill designed to curb cyber-bullying. Drafted by Progressive Conservative backbencher MCEs Linda Merrill, and Justice Minister Arthur Banks, the anti-cyberbullying bill is designed to give law enforcement easier access to the metadata that internet service providers and phone companies keep on every call and email. Under the proposed legislation, anyone who posts or transmits an "intimate image" of another individual without that person’s consent could face up to five years in prison. Since introducing the bill, Banks and Merrill has said that new legislation is also meant to update the Imperial Criminal Code to reflect modern communications such as email and social media.

Both have said that it is a necessary step, given that some aspects of the Imperial Criminal Code pertaining to communications still refer to outmoded technologies such as telegrams. "Let's face it, our Criminal Code when it comes to communications is outdated." Justice Minister Banks said in a joint-press conference.

Opposition parties raises concerns about the breadth of proposed legislation, which not only addresses cyberbullying, but also gives police heightened powers of surveillance to track terror suspects as well as individuals who use computer programs to gain unpaid access to WiFi or cable TV service. Social Democratic Alliance leader Dani Stone likened the proposed legislation to GS-14730, also known as the Protecting Children from Internet Predators Act, which was introduced in February 2006 by then-defence minister Peter Savendri. It was defeated in the second reading, following a lengthy session.

Along with the anti-cyberbullying bill, the Rieshistagi will be passing several laws including amendments to the current prostitution laws, and laws enabling the free trade agreements with several Sondrian countries.

The crossbenchers and the opposition parties will ask for government coalition to be briefed further on Crontorian deployment in Luminaa, a request that comes after the Defence and Foreign Affairs ministers appeared before a committee last week. The New Society Liberals also called for more details on free-trade agreements, which former Lord High Chancellor Calroni has hailed as a key achievement under his administration in 2012.

Finally, Progressive Conservative backbencher Michael Soren’s private member’s bill, the Reform Act, which reins in party leaders and empowers individual MPs – is due for second reading this month. Mr. Soren has twice amended it to boost its chances of passing, but its fate remains unclear.

The Consei-Estadi’s fall sitting is scheduled to total 11 weeks.
