GUN TALK (Favorite guns discussion thread)

After looking for some time through the forums I was not able to find a thread where people could discuss the guns of their dreams with other people, so I have decided that I would try to make a forum where we could all come together and talk guns.

Just to get started I will tell you a little bit about my favorite gun.
My favorite gun is not a hand held fire arm but I have actually seen this gun tested on a simulated combat warzone that was made at an Air Force base I used to be stationed at:

The GAU 8/A Avenger is a minigun commonly used on the front of the modern day A-10 Warthog.
When this baby fires from the skies rounds come out so fast that it takes about 20 seconds after leaving the barrel for the sound to be heard. The fire power on these things can turn a dense forest in to a flat land foundation in one run.

So with that out of the way I would love to hear what guns you are intereasted in.

You are not among friends here.

Personally I favor a .243. I've had a Ruger for almost 10 years. Its a great round, low recoil, flat trajectory. I zeroed mine at 200 yards and haven't had to touch the sights in years.

May not be the best or most well known, but out of sentimental power I'll have to say mine is the Enfield No 8 Mk I as it was the first gun I ever shot.

Not a thread like this, most of the time people talk about guns here, they're talking about banning them.

I thought that was for the RP side of the forum and a nations fact book discussion not just discussing people's favourite guns?

Winchesters are beautiful rifles especially the .234. And may I ask what model Ruger you have?

They have "Gun Control - A Political Thread" which, thankfully, as of the last time I checked, became people talking about guns (which is better, not control).

Not quite the right thread for it. Most firearms wouldn't fall under the topic of that thread.

My favorite firearm is an old Colt revolver in .38 Special. I don't use it for anything practical, but it's fun to shoot, and I like the way it feels in my hand

If you don't like guns, why are you posting in a thread where people discussion they're favorite ones. That's like me posting in a thread where people talk about their favorite kinda of sushi.

Hah I would love to own a sig but right now the only "handgun" I actually own for personal use is a Glock... And its a peice of crap.
