Who We Are
Welcome to the International Space Agency! Hyfling is looking to establish an international space program, an alliance comprising of governments, organisations and private investors dedicated to the furtherment of human knowledge and scientific advancement. A combined Space Agency will allow member nations access to greater amounts of capital, dedicated manufacturing facilities and research centers.
What We Do
The purpose of the International Space Agency is to further open up the prospect of space development and research to all nations of any size and wealth regardless of whether or not that nation has it's own space agency, a combined organisation with a focussed goal best suits this purpose. ISA was formed to produce, operate and maintain space launches and research for use by the public and private sectors, it handles all aspects of technology related to space, from planning, researching, manufacturing, maintenance and financing to launches and operations.
The ISA operates as a business, different country's space agencies will be the shareholders. Each space agency owns an equal part of the ISA, when a new nation joins, the shareholding is further dilluted. For example, three space agencies would own 33.3%, a new nation joins and all four agencies now own 25% of the ISA, and so on.
We Need Your Help
HASD's facilities and capabilities can currently supply the requirement of ISA for now, but as it (hopefully) grows larger, newer larger facilities will be required: manufacturing, offices, research centers, launch sites and tracking stations imperative to the operation of our joint projects, launches and operations will need to be contributed by other member national space programs for this organisation to be a success.
Memberships
Anyone can be a member in the ISA, from governments, national space agencies and even private space companies, all are welcome. There are several different types of membership for each organisation:
Full Membership: a country that has it's own space program, facilities, launch sites and all the required infrastructure to be able to operate independently from the ISA. Full Members will provide their own infrastructure for use by the ISA Only full and special members may own a stake in the International Space Agency, as well as draw revenue from it.
Half Membership: a country which may or may not have a space program, but lacks the necessary infrastructure or funds required to be able to operate launches by themselves. Countries in this category can still take part in launches and contribute capital costs required by the ISA. But they are not considered stakeholders of the ISA.
Special Membership: reserved for special cases, the space agency may be a private enterprise and operate independently to the national government's whims, some countries may have operate two national space agencies. Special members can still own a percentage of the International Space Agency.
Sponsorships: non member nations or other private firms and individuals that wish to contribute money or products to the International Space Agency, but do not wish to provide the infrastructure required for operations.
Rules
-Regular forum rules apply, no spamming, trolling, etc
-The ISA is supposed to be a MT thing, early PMT at most. So no Deathstars or warp drives, K?
-Nations that become inactive for whatever reason will have their membership revoked.
-No wars, but we can develop weapons or focus on military purposes (spy satellites, ICBM development, etc).
-Please try and keep things reasonable, no "I donate 200 trillion dollarz" please.
-You don't need me to sign off on everything you're doing, as long as it's within the rules, research launch and create whatever you want!
-Other than that, have fun!

The annual budget is calculated using only the nations that supplied the annual funding in NationStates Dollars (or NSD for short) For the purpose of simplicity, NSD is usually considered to be at parity with the US Dollar (or USD) Nations that provided their annual funding in their own currency (without supplying an exchange rate) are not included in the count. The actual number may be much higher.
Anyone who didn't provide their currency in NSD or USD and want to be counted on the budget, please telegram me either the exchange rate, or the worth in NSD. Thanks!
