Like: vodka.

Dislike: vodka.

meh, certain generals have lobbied for the possible use of nuclear weapons throughout later wars...especially the Korean war. Good thing Russia by then had a bomb.

Not really, as by that point it would have been utterly irrelevant. Truman, having ordered the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had come to develop a pretty negative perception of the bomb as a weapon of war. Even if the Soviets had not had the bomb, it's virtually impossible for Truman to have used it, as by that point the Administration saw it as such a qualitative leap beyond conventional weapons, as to forbid its further use.

There are some pretty good discussions that occurred after the bombs fell, that came to several very interesting conclusions about the bomb, trying to sort out the moral implications of the device.

I like Russia because my all time favourite band (tATu) is from there and so is my ancestory. I also love their language and history.

I like that they're becoming democratic, even if I have a bit of mistrust for them still.

I dislike their police, their leader, and and their boring, boring flag.

Likes:
Vodka
Their Weapons
Their History

Dislikes:
Their current government
Their previous government
The one before that (I mean, seriously, have they ever been democratic?)

Edit: Their current flag is also quite boring, their previous (soviet) flag, while unoriginal, was at least not as boring.

Yes, or at least to an extant...
It was a long time ago, like circa 900 AD...

No... It just strikes me as odd for someone's all-time favorite band to be one that was out together with the intention of garnering attention based on the (false) premise that the singers are lesbian lovers...

In Soviet Russia, Russia dislikes YOU!

I really like Russia. It has such an epic history, an epic army and a sort of coolness about it. Everything is cooler when said in a Russian accent. True fact. However, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia's kind of gone madly capitalist and apparently there's rampant inequality there. Kind of Ironic.
