I'm not exactly partial to Harper either. I genuinely think he's undermining alot of what makes Canada great - nothing personal, but his agenda and that of his old Reform buddies is not for me.

Honestly, I don't see what people can look back on as far as Chretien's achievements go. True, there was staying out of Iraq, but staying out of things is a whole lot different to creating. At best, you could say he was a steady captain of the ship, but nothing particularly radical. Though, I can't help but find this clip of him going Darth Vader on protesters quite awesome. So you like politicians that hate science so much they gleefully destroy hundreds of years of climate records and the products of decades of scientific research? Not entirely surprising.

Chretien and Martin did help get Canada's finances back in order, even if it wasn't pretty.

I voted Pearson. Trudeau was probably the coolest Prime Minister though. :lol2:

Steven Harper does nothing to help anything. John A. Macdonald, in my opinion was a racist. Personally, I think Mackenzie King was also a Racist, and a Moron, but he was admitly good with the Economy. In my opinion.

I hope they are being sarcastic.

I'm Canadian, but sadly I don't know enough about the political activities of hardly any of our Prime Ministers, save the more modern ones, so I couldn't tell you who the "greatest" was in my opinion. :(

Gotta admire MacDonald for holding his liquor though...

I like Laurier as being one of the greatest Liberal prime ministers in history, and is generally admired.

John A. probably had some of the most liberal attitudes to Aboriginals of any Prime Minister for that era. By today's standards, I'm sure he wasn't perfect, but I think it's abit much to lump him as a racist.

Oh, god no. Harper has been a terrible PM of Canada, and his administration has been incredibly wasteful, corrupt, and inefficient. His government scrapped canadian membership of the Kyoto Protocol, used his position to push a 400 page bill through parliament that fucked over the environment, lied about the costs of fighter jets, halted a UN resolution declaring water to be a basic human rights, and many, many other corrupt, wasteful, and downright egotistical things. Harper has been a terrible, and by far the most presidential Canadian PM, and it's silly to support him.
