Micronations are largely irrelevant and I think the host country where your shitty little fantasy nation is located would have something to say about this. In order to actually become a country, you must seek recognition from the UN, and even then the host country might not let you claim independence, even with the support of others.

Well to be fair, communism as defined by Marx was a stateless global condition in which all people are workers and all workers gave as they could and received as they needed. It was a theoretical and utopian vision of the culmination of socialism. My point is: you can't have a "communist state" according to this definition. This is how the condition of communism would be self-sufficient, because all the world's resources were to be exploited for the benefit of workers. If you're talking about a socialist micro-nation there's no requirement for the state to be self-sufficient, just economically viable. If you were prepared to trade with other communities/ countries this could be viable. Alternatively if you were prepared to live lives of drudgery as hungry, sick and impoverish farmers you could also do that a la Pol Pot's Cambodia.
