Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: New Edomite troops are recruited from among those who are willing to serve. It is considered an honor to be in the military. Most people of Baran, Elwe, Haranese and Dawarf Cultures have a warrior caste which consists of commoners and aristocrats, and these are trained from an early age to have a sense of martial duty. Most are not trained in any organized tactics however until they begin to come of age in early adolescence. Because New Edomite sports tend to be violent and intensely competitive, and because especially in rural communities there is little to do in the way of visual entertainment, they come mostly hard and fit and ready for boot camp. Most New Edomites still do a fair bit of physical labour.

Boot camp is thus less about conditioning of the troops though there is a weeding out process of two weeks. Mostly it is about familiarization with military grade weaponry, unit training and field tactics. Due to the last 15 years or so of civil war the average soldier is trained in a ‘rifleman first’ policy. Nevertheless there is a serious degree of difference between being capable of taking to the field if necessary and being rigorously and regularly trained in infantry, armor and airborne tactics.

Regular training exercises take place, including cross training with KADO and other allied nations in order to keep troops from becoming complacent. The staff college regularly reviews new developments in tactics and technology and experiments with them.

Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine: New Edomite military doctrine has till recently been focused on dealing with insurgency from the Elwe and defense against the aggressive nations of Cookish States, Tehraani and other local Xanadou nations. There has been little real need for projection abroad save to the Protectorates of Etruria Majora and Gloria Regis. Recently President Touchstone has been developing stronger military alliances in order to protect the nation against future aggression.

Standard military doctrine also requires for New Edomite leaders to push for enemy weaknesses, aggressively probing them, and pouring reserves into area of weakness. Withdrawals are supposed to be fight and regroup.

Brief Summary of Military Culture: The military culture is based on the ancient Baran and Haranese warrior aristocracy; honor, friendliness between comrades and courage are highly valued. Personal honor and responsibility are emphasized heavily. New Edom uses a regimental system and so officers up to the rank of colonel and NCOs up to sergeant-major rarely move from unit to unit. A sense of religion as well as patriotic duty also affects the soldiers.

Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities): New Edomite officers currently are those who survived the civil wars and were recruited immediately after it. They are for the most part veterans. Those who are not are about 1:5 in ratio of new officer to veteran at the moment. Those coming up from the Military Academies are being trained by experienced officers. A general reassessment of military capabilities under the Defense Ministries of Admiral Charles Rand and later John Crowl have required that officers who are shown to be unfit during military exercises designed to strain minds and bodies are booted out.

Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities): Currently the New Edomite officer corps is led by generals and admirals who have considerable military experience, and is blessed by having several (Nicanor, Augrim, Shalmaneser, Galt, etc) who are very flexible as well.

Assessment of Logistical Capabilities: A great concern by the new Ministers of Defense under the Presidency of Touchstone has been logistics and supply generally. Hard lessons learned during the civil war have borne fruit; ratio of supply to tactical units is good, with more in reserves. Care has been put towards establishing redundancy in case of unexpected attacks.

Special Operations and Elite Formations:
1. 4 Marine Infantry Divisions (specialized assault troops) which are on semi-permanent detachment to the Navy. These forces are crossed trained with Lamonian forces and are very tough, flexible infantry, mechanized infantry, armor and rotary aviation troops trained to do naval landings and assaults, hold positions and make it possible for main army forces to land.
2. The Light Troops Brigade. This is a formation of four special assault regiments and supporting combat engineers, aviation and intelligence that are basically meant to go into tough enemy terrain and raid or capture territory.
3. 1st Airborne Division. Trained for para and air assault attacks.
4. Rover Teams. These are Special Forces teams; Each of the four Rover Teams is specialized in something—COIN operations, Urban Assault, Hostage Rescue and Underwater Demolitions and Assault.
5. The Teman Rangers are a special search and rescue and long range recon Regiment with three battalions, specializing in mountain and forest operations.
6. The Armored Cavalry Regiments are the elite of the Armored Corps. They are a ‘first in, first out’ set of units, often trained to act in isolation or far behind enemy lines for special assaults. They are sometimes used to provide a larger scale Light Troops or Airborne assault.

Personnel:
Total Army: 3,158,610
Combat Personnel: 947,583
Noncombat Personnel and Reserves: 2,211,027

Air Forces

General Assessment: The New Edomite Air Force has grown enormously in the last two years. Because of this it has undergone extensive training. In addition to this the most elite units of the tactical fighters and helicopter units have been put into the navy, where they have been cross-trained with Lamonian Naval Aviation. Estovakivan, Lamonian Yohannes, Riemaian and Nalayan pilots have generally cross trained with New Edomites, including providing cadres for new fighters. Corporations providing the equipment have also been asked to provide such cadres for training in tactical, radar, electronic warfare and support systems. The general doctrine of the Air Forces is aggressive defense.

Fighter Aircraft Used: Multi Role Fighter: GM-23 Czapka, LY909 'Sparrowhawk' Light Multirole Fighter W-18 Hummingbird V/STOL multirole fighter
Air Superiority Fighter:YA42 'Corsaire' Air Superiority Fighter

Naval Operations Helicopter: UH-26 Motherbird
Heavy Transport Helicopter: PT-32 Monster
Number of Aircraft: 3,414
Personnel: 829,920

Naval Forces:

The New Edomite Navy is a small but very well trained force. Every vessel is relatively new, within the last two years’ purchased, with corporate cadres provided to demonstrate all equipment, and with KADO and other allied exercises working out kinks with tactical and strategic use. Personnel in the New Edomite Navy tend to serve for two to three years aboard a particular ship and then are transferred. With the exception of pilots and sub-mariners surface combatant personnel tend to be given as much experience as possible aboard a variety of ships from coastal patrol craft to carriers, though at a certain point expertise begins to be rewarded with regular service aboard particular vessels.

Paramilitary Groups(Note: This would cover Militias as well as special warrior groups)

Stated Purpose of Paramilitary Group(s): The Council Police is the chief intelligence, protective and national law enforcement agency of the country. It has intelligence, administrative, analyst, logistics and special assault and guard units.
It generally uses the same armor, equipment and support as the army.

Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: The Council Police are overwhelmingly recruited by people who were sentenced to death, life imprisonment or hard labour by the Monarchist Junta. They are ingrained with fanatical support for the Touchstone government in particular. Special oaths, brutal training, subjugation to torture resistance training, indoctrination with a fanatical devotion to the Apostolic Church and to the personal devotion to those appointed its champions is part of their indoctrination.

Brief Summary of Standard Doctrine: The Council Police exist to protect and serve the state. They are trained to root out its enemies, and if need be attack them, destroy them, capture them, twist the truth out of them.

Brief Summary of Paramilitary Culture: The Council Police though it has both genders is a rather macho, tough culture, religiously devout, and close knit; they rarely mix with others outside of it.

Are the organizations primarily Offensive or Defensive?: Defensive
Are the organizations under a clear Military command, under clear command of the State, or mostly independent?: They are under the command of the Minister of Police who answers directly to the President and the Attorney-General.
Is there significant civilian support for the Paramilitary groups? The Council Police are supported by the civilian police.
Personnel: 25,000
Combat Personnel: 6,000

Overall Assessment:

Are the branches of the Military united with a clear command structure for use between branches?: Yes!
Are Strategic Decisions decided by Military or Civilian leadership?:
Are the branches more or less united, with open co-operation between the branches?: Yes
Are there any enmities between branches?: No

The Allied States of New Edom

Level III

M-SAD has spent some time analyzing the strengths of this regional force. It is a well-trained, well-equipped military force that has shown its legs in the ongoing insurgency. However, the doctrine it is most comfortable with is worthless against a Marshite invasion, and it is devastatingly outnumbered. The quality of the military as well as its fantastic internal logistics would allow small-unit victories, but the outcome is not in doubt. It also possesses little to no threat to the Marshite Church, as the force projection of its navy and air force are nearly nonexistent.
In summation, New Edom possesses a military of great quality. However, it does not have a qualitative advantage against Marshite forces, and it is vastly outnumbered with a doctrine less effective against an external threat. An invasion would be short, very bloody for all involved, and generally unadvised even if the outcome is not in doubt.

Name of Nation: Republic of Padnak

Military Branches and Roles:
Padnaki Army
Padnaki Navy
Padnaki Air Force
Padnaki Republican Guard
(divisional sized with independent battalions elite armored and mechanized force totaling 25,000 personnel and is directly answerable to the president, protects key sites such as cities, chemical weapon stockpiles, oil refineries etc)
Regular Ground Forces: Padnaki Army
Small Arms Used: AKP-90, AKPS-90, RPG-7V2, TTP-14, PADK-20, DPV-12, Poz-10. Full list can be found here
Body Armor Used: None, Chinese flak jackets (various models), Soviet/Russian bullet proof vests
Infantry Support Weapons Used: RPK-74P (Padnaki produced model better suited to the jungle environment of Padnak)
Anti-Tank/Anti-Vehicle Weapons Used: Type 69 RPG, RPG-7V2, RPG-29 (elite units), M73 LAW, 9K135 Kornet
APCs/IFVs Used: Type 63 x 944, Type 85 x 120, BMP-1 x 540, BTR-50 x 100, M113 x 230, MT-LB x 431, Bear APC x 2000, MRAP-375 "Leopard" APC x 1250
Tanks Used: Tiger Hunter MBT (Upgraded T-72s and M-84's) x 1192, Type-69 x 1200, Type-59 x 574, T-55 x 845, T-62 x 513, PT-76 x 120
Artillery Used: "Lamya" rocket artillery system x 100, BM-21 x 310, BM-30 x 210, Type 82 artillery x 94, D-30 x 400, D-20 x 340, M84 NORA-A x 93, Type 66 x 415, 2S12 Sani x 350
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: Young men upon turning 17 are expected to apply for a branch of the Padnaki Military. New recruits are tested to see of they meet minimum service requirements, after which they are placed into the national guard of given the opportunity to no pursue military service if they do not meet the requirements or sent to basic training if they do qualify. Training consists of 10 weeks of very intensive basic instruction for men entering the navy or air force and 15 weeks of much more intense training for men entering the army or navy marine corps. Training is modeled after US marine training for army/ marine troops and is considered to be exceptionally brutal in preparation for the kinds of jungle combat that a Padnaki soldier can expect when serving in Padnak. Recruits who show exceptional abilities are placed into specialist positions or given the chance to enter officer training. Minimum service length is 4 years however most stay on for at least 15 years.
Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine: Defensive doctrine is primarily concerned with destroying hostile naval forces before they can land on Padnak and uses strategies developed by the Soviet Union, while land based defense uses the fact that Padnak is a jungle island to give local forces the advantage when fighting from difficult terrain.
Brief Summary of Military Culture: Military service is seen as necessary for a boy to become a man and the military plays a central role in most Padnaki domestic and foreign affairs. Padnak's very strong tribal warrior culture has been cultivated by the current government to stir up deep seated militaristic feelings in the general population to make military service seem exceptionally honorable and necessary.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities): Vast experience owing to almost 60 years of on and off insurgencies and rebellions withing Padnak. Generally aggressive and bold padnaki tactical abilities are exceptional and must be to make up for outdated equipment and numerical disadvantages.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities) Competent but conservative. Most high level officers received their education in the Soviet Union and have yet to fully adopt to the modern battlefield, however through modernization initiatives this has begun to rapidly change.
Assessment of Logistical Capabilities: Due to the fact that extremely rugged jungle covers almost 60% of Padnak, most logistics withing Padnak are carried out by hand, however the Padnaki air force has a number of strategic and tactical transport aircraft while the Padnaki Army Aviation Corps operate large numbers of utility helicopters. Strategic logistics are lacking. Tactical logistics in non jungle areas are generally competent while logistical abilities in the jungle are more limited but still sufficient.

Are the organizations primarily Offensive or Defensive?: Defensive
Are the organizations under a clear Military command, under clear command of the State, or mostly independent?: Directly subservient to the Padnaki Army

Overall Assessment:

Are the branches of the Military united with a clear command structure for use between branches?: Yes, all forces are under the command of the Central Command
Are Strategic Decisions decided by Military or Civilian leadership?: Due to Padnak being a thinly veiled military junta almost all decisions are made by the military before being given approval by the rubber stamp national congress.

Are there any enmities between branches?: None that inhibit general combat effectiveness
Is the overall Strategic Doctrine Defensive or Offensive?: Defensive, with expeditionary capabilities.
Nuclear Option?: None, however there is a low intensity nuclear program currently active

Comparable to Lyran training, but voluntary, and recruits must have reached the age of 18, in order to become either an enlisted soldier, or enter officer training without parental permission. With Parental permission, they may join at 17, assuming high school graduation, or equivalent.

Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine:

The Lamonian Armed Forces follow the Lyran Doctrine of Full Spectrum Overmatch

Brief Summary of Military Culture:

A mix of Lyran Military Culture, with influence from the democratic society within the Free Republic

Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities):

Combatant-arm officers are, almost without exception, experienced, and have all seen at least some action, by virtue of a Lyran/Lamonian program called 'blooding', a process whereby prospective officer candidates are attached to units deployed or likely to be involved in combat or peacekeeping operations. As such, in addition to the extensive training, Lyran and Lamonian officers have usually also seen combat first-hand, with correspondingly high levels of tactical acumen. Non-combatant arm officers also receive infantry training, so as to not be useless should battlefield conditions require that they fight.

Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities):

More variable than the almost-universally high tactical capability, but very large personnel numbers ensure that the incompetent are exceedingly rapidly replaced. Staff colleges and high levels of operational experience still render a very high average competence in strategic analysis and decision making.

Assessment of Logistical Capabilities:

Considerable, matching Lyran practices, with the resources of a democratic state with a very good economy. Marines can take advantage of naval logistics, as well.

Personnel:

68,250,000 (Army, active), 9,700,000 (Marines, active)

Combat Personnel: Unknown, not under state control

Overall Assessment: Our nation is very militaristic, and the population loves the Army. The best and brightest are most often in the Military and not the private sector. We also have a very large military industrial complex. Service is mandatory at age 18. Our ground forces are mostly mechanized, with heavy use of IFVs and Armor. Defense is the number one spending priority of the government. Each Voivodeship has its own defense brigade separate from normal army as well, and there are very many civilian militias. Officers and NCOs are well trained and educated. Priority is given to Army, then Air Force, and lastly Navy. We have a large population and our military has a large percentage of that population. It can be said Gingeska's Government lives to serve the military. Most civil government functions are privatized or run at the municipal level. T-55 Merida is mostly used only in reserve divisions, with the PT-91 being the standard MBT for professional forces (Although there are some PT-91 in reserves and vice versa)

Via land-based TBM?: Yes

PS: I don't us NS population because it is silly high-- if you strictly want it based off the population that my NS page says multiply all the numbers by 5 or 10 or whatever the hell it is.
Also I use a variety of medium and long range SAMs, and radar and nonradar guided SPAAGs.(Didn't ask about AA capabilities. (I added a few to the "a few other vehicles" section I put in there)

Republic of Padnak

Level II

The Republic of Padnak fields a competent military force. While not exceptionally or even above average in any area save experience and innate military culture, it poses virtually no risk to the Theocracy. It has no force projection, with a small navy and air force that are both wildly outgunned and outnumbered. On the ground, Padnakian training and experience are supported by a decent roster of equipment, but Marshites enjoy advantages significantly in every area. Even jungle warfare, which is where the well-versed Padnakian officer corp excels, Marshites have more experience- themselves having fought in the jungles of Pushania for some five thousand years. They also suffer from a criminally inefficient supply chain and have a much heavier emphasis on combat personnel than support. While it is believed small-unit ambushes and attacks by hardcore Padnakian units would continue for some time as the enemy is courageous and willing to lay down their lives, it is also believed that the military campaign to subdue Padnak would take less than a week, if that.
-------------------
Kingdom of Korva

Level II

The Kingdom is well-supplied and has a good corp of officers who excel in the tactical arena. While not notable, their soldiers are well-trained and can be expected to fight well. A pity then that they pose virtually no threat to the Church. Their navy and air force barely register as existing, and Marshites enjoy an overwhelming advantage in experience, equipment, training, and logistics. The one to one ration of Korvan military logistics are sustainable in the short term, but is a serious weak link. While Korvan soldierly is of good quality and the officers likewise are quality, they fail to compare to their Marshite compatriots and are woefully outgunned and incredibly outnumbered. Small unit successes are indeed possible in limited circumstances, but the totality of the Marshite war machine would roll over even these successes within the hour they happened. Victory is assured, though Korvans are not expected to fold until the final bell tolls for them.

---------------------
Gingeska

Level III

Gingeska fields a competent army on the defensive, but it faces many issues. Marshites have an overwhelming advantage in technology and experience as well as numbers. There is little information regarding the exact nature of the training, but it is described as high. We have no reason to believe it is higher than Marshite quality of training and we have graded them likewise. It has a good set of reserves and the logistics seem to work fine, giving M-SAD reason to believe that they will be able tp out up resistance to the best of their ability. The issue is that their best does not compare. In the air and sea they are also wildly overmatched, turning this into a one-sided ground war. While they are expected to fight hard and well to the bitter end, they are undone. The fanatically militia in support of the standing army would as a whole provide some issues, but nothing that Marshites don't expect. The biggest weakness is that the doctrine is offensive, and on the offensive they lack the ability to engage Marshites with any reasonable hope for success.
-----------------------
West Suburbia

Level II

It has become a running theme this run of assessments, but it bears repeating: West Suburbia fields a competent military. Trained and effectively equipped. Sound logistics. Good base of support and culture and sound officers. The air force is relatively small but not by any means a pushover, and the Navy fields enough vessels to present a threat to a landing. But in the end, the theme remains. Marshites have advantages in almost every conceivable field by significant margins. West Suburbia is simply too wildly outnumbered to stand any hope, and its offensively minded doctrone puts it at a crippling disadvantage. While- theme once more- it is expected that they would fight hard and bleed dearly for their nation, there is little stopping the Marshite state from ending war with the first two weeks of the war.

------------------------
Free Republic of Lamoni

Level VIII

Not since Lyras has a nation been as militarily dominant in these rankings. Their main strengths in relation to the Marshite state are in the air, where they enjoy an edge in numbers, and at sea, where they also enjoy an advantage in numbers. On the ground, the quality of Lamonian officers and soldierly are extremely high. M-SAD does believe that Marshites enjoy an advantage in experience and cultural attitudes and tolerances, but these differences are not decisive by any stretch and the Lamonian ground forces are on par with Marshites on a technological basis. They are very outnumbered by the Marshite military on the ground, but the Reserves make the defense work. While M-SAD does not believe these soldiers are of the same quality as the standing armies of either nation, M-SAD is willing to give them equal footing with Marshite Second Rate Militia on the Defensive and the First Rate on the offensive. These are both high compliments, and the net result is an even war on the ground. Couple that with the superior Lamonian Navy and Air Force as well as the long supply lines of the Marshites, and M-SAD does not believe an invasion of Lamoni could be successful within the first few decades of war. Lamoni's strategic situation changes drastically of they were to attack Holy Marsh, however. Their naval and air advantage is negated and possibly reversed and they would be outnumbered, first by the standing army and then by the Militia. While Lamonians are absolutely outstanding soldiers, so are the Marshites nearly universally from top to bottom either equal or superior to their Lamonian foe while in the holy land.

In short, any successful war with Lamoni would need to take decades. Lamoni has a higher population from which to pull, but the Marshite state has existed very well while using a much greater percentage of its national manpower pool. It is therefore M-SADs belief that there would be no numerical advantage given to either side in a strategic sense. Mqrshite victory would need to come only after the Lamonian will has been broken, which only happens to nations full of such honorable and brave men after many decades or even centuries of war. Considering the tangled web of alliances both nations find themselves in, it is doubtful either would be allowed to keep the war private for quite that long anyway. An unlimited war with Lamoni is highly unadvised. However, a limited war is on the table and shall soon be proposed to the Lamonian ambassador as a way to repay the Blood Debt owed to the Church by way of Lamonia's support of the Progressive Heresy. We wait this exchange of proposals with them excitedly.

Aircraft Used: Westland Gazelle, Westland Lynx, de Havilland Canada Beaver
Vehicles Used: Land Rover, Land Rover 109 Ambulance, International AACO Series V, International AACO Wrecker, Scammell Commander, BSA B40 WD motorcycle
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: Conscription exists in the form of a two year National Service for all males when they turn 18, though volunteers can enlist upon leaving school at 16 and there are some exemptions that will allow somebody to forgo National Service such as medical reasons or university. Certain units such as the special forces and Parachute Regiment only accept volunteers, the latter is direct entry whilst the former requires prior military service. All new recruits undergo basic training as infantry before going onto their trade training, this is so that Servicemen are fully capable of defending themselves and is universal across all branches of the Morridane Armed Forces. Re-enlistment after completing National Service is encouraged.

Females can join voluntarily, though they will rarely if ever see combat other than maybe patrols on peacekeeping missions. A new recruit can become an officer either by applying during National Service (requires good grades at school, passing an interview and extended service), applying directly as a university graduate (though being part of a university's Officer Training Corps helps) or applying for an officer's commission after a few years as a volunteer.
Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine: Morridane Doctrine is mainly focused around defending the Commonwealth, but is flexible in some respects with regards to the decades long counterinsurgency in Mordent and offensive operations conducted with allies within recent years. Marksmanship amongst the infantry is rated higher than mass firepower, disrupting the enemy with a few well placed shots is preferred over 'spray and pray' and its strongly encouraged during training. It also follows British practice of giving NCOs more responsibilities and command.
Brief Summary of Military Culture: National Service has been place since for 70 years, in conjunction with various operations over the years the Morridane Armed Forces have become a professional and experienced force.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities): Experienced, highly trained and encouraged to make best use of available resources. Junior officers are backed up by experienced NCOs.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities): Competent, though heavily reliant upon allies. The Morridane Armed Forces have begun officer exchange programs with allied nations (primarily Lamoni and Stevid) within the past few years to at least address this.
Assessment of Logistical Capabilities: Considerable, all Services of the Morridane Armed Forces maintain their own supply corps and all Services provide units to the supply chain when the Morridane Armed Forces goes on operations. The Morridane soldier has a reputation as a scavenger second to none.

Stated Purpose of Paramilitary Group: Defense from invasion.
Small Arms Used: L1A1 SLR, Browning Hi-Power Pistol, L1A4 Bayonet
Body Armor Used: Mk.1 Fragmentation Vest, Mk.V Helmet
Infantry Support Weapons Used: L7 GPMG, L9A1 51 mm light mortar, L16 81mm mortar
Anti-Tank/Anti-Vehicle Weapons Used: M2 Carl Gustav, Milan Anti-Tank Missile, 120mm BAT L6 Wombat
Vehicles Used: Land Rover, International AACO Series V
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: Typically recruits volunteers otherwise ineligible for military service, usually due to age. Training is comparable to basic Morridane infantry training, least enough to know how to use weapons, basic military skills and some tactical training.
Brief Summary of Standard Doctrine: Defensive, the Home Guard is expected to hold positions in the event of an enemy invasion and to stall enemy forces whilst friendly regular forces mobilize.
Brief Summary of Paramilitary Culture: The Home Guard is a way of allowing people to serve who would otherwise be unable to do so, whilst it is more lax in its recruitment standards there are medical conditions that stops somebody from serving in the Home Guard. Volunteers are expected to commit to one evening a week and one weekend a month with the occasional field exercise and a two week annual camp, they usually receive a small amount of pay for doing so. It tries to be as professional as the Army, though it varies from unit to unit.
Are the organizations primarily Offensive or Defensive?: Defensive.
Are the organizations under a clear Military command, under clear command of the State, or mostly independent?: Mixture of military and civilian command.
Is there significant civilian support for the Paramilitary groups?: Yes.
Personnel: 3,417,250,000 (at least)

Overall Assessment Whilst using a fair bit of dated equipment, the Morridane Armed Forces remains a professional force even if its methods are slightly unusual. Infantry are trained highly on Marksmanship, but they are trained to take advantage of combined arms tactics. Morridane troops prefer to ambush enemy forces, the suppressor on the L1A1 SLR and good use of cover allows them to achieve near complete surprise when engaging enemy infantry. It is encouraged to pick of enemy troops first to make it easier to deal with enemy armour, when this isn't possible the Morridane soldier falls back on artillery and air support whilst taking potshots from the relative safety of his own trench.

The Royal Morridane Air Force is well known for low-level flying, its pilots receive extensive training to hug the terrain and fly in under the enemy's radar before delivering their attack. It also prefers to break up enemy formations in order to make them easier to deal with, it also retains guns on its interceptors to assist in this.

Royal Morridane Navy hasn't seen any major fleet battles for quite some time, generally it conducts ASW patrols and regularly trains its carriers for strike missions. As a component of the Navy the Royal Morridane Marine Corps can rely on alot of support, though they are a Commando force.

Are the branches of the Military united with a clear command structure for use between branches?: Yes
Are Strategic Decisions decided by Military or Civilian leadership?: A mix of both, under civilian command.
Are the branches more or less united, with open co-operation between the branches?: Yes
Are there any enmities between branches?: Some minor rivalries between the Services.
Is the overall Strategic Doctrine Defensive or Offensive?: Mix of both.
Nuclear Option?: Recently withdrawn.
How many?: See above.
Via Submarine?: Capability retained.
Via Strategic Bomber?: See above.
Via land-based ICBM?: No.
Via land-based TBM?: No.

Overall Assessment:
The Mokan nation has spent most of its existence in various states of war, from civil conflict to hosting invasions. As such, a significant amount of folklore revolves around martial ability and clever tactics. The Mokan sniper is considered top of the line and is a threat in any Mokan related conflict.
The Mokan military will fight to keep the battle at sea, but is capable on land given their military supplier and veteran population(even if artificially inflated).
The PUF can be considered a smaller nation at only 1.5 billion, but non-discriminatory conscription and extremely liberal weapons laws have ensured the majority of the population is armed and familiar with basic military operations.

Name of Nation: Republic of New Austzeland

Military Branches and Roles: Ground Forces, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps

Regular Ground Forces: New Austzeland Ground Forces

Small Arms Used: Info can be found here
Body Armor Used: NFJ-3
Infantry Support Weapons Used: Info can be found here
Anti-Tank/Anti-Vehicle Weapons Used: Info can be found here
APCs/IFVs Used: BMP-2, BMD-2, LAV III (gradually replacing the BMP-2), M113, Oshkosh M-ATV MRAP, International MaxxPro MRAP, Coyote Reconnaissance Vehicle

Artillery Used: D-30, Dana SPGH, M270 MLRS, 2S1 Gozdzik
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: Conscription exists for all males fit for service at the age 19, and serve for 15 months. Females can enlist voluntarily. All recruits undergo basic training. The basic training is about 9 weeks long, and covers combat tactics, uniform/parade, fitness, survival, and much more.
Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine: NADF doctrine is focused on defending New Austzeland from terrorists, and containing the threat posed by Lossesin. The NADF taking part in an invasion is extremely rare. Though, they can also be deployed outside of New Austzeland if an ally is under attack, or if called upon by the International Freedom Alliance and/or Western Coalition. The NADF is trained mostly for counter-insurgency to combat the ongoing communist and Islamic insurgency in New Austzeland, and also to fight against Lossessian threats. Often, before a major attack, the enemy's known strategic positions are pounded with artillery and air strikes.
Brief Summary of Military Culture: Professional, well-trained, loyal and adaptable. Lots of soldiers have great pride for their nation, and would like nothing more than to see a peaceful, stable New Austzeland without any threats from hostile nations or terrorists. Some soldiers stay even after their 15 month conscription is over.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities): Officers tend to exploit the enemy's weakness(es). They can adapt easily to the terrain and weather, as New Austzeland faces all sorts of weather and terrain each year. Forest, plains, mountains, hills, you name it. Officers often read up on the enemy, to understand what their strong points and weaknesses may be.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities) Commanders are taught similar to historic military strategists such as Erwin Rommel, Sun Tzu, etc. They are capable of adapting to the ever changing battlefield with ease.
Assessment of Logistical Capabilities: All branches have a department for logistics, and are often assisted by the New Austzeland Department of Defense. Troops are mostly transported to foreign places via C-130. They can be re-supplied very easily, whether it be via airdrop, truck, plane, you name it. Logistical capabilities in the NADF are vast.
Personnel: 298,116 reserve
Combat Personnel: 127,764 active

Air Forces

Fighter Aircraft Used: F-29A "Warrior" CTOL Multirole Fighter, F-15A "Stratis" Air Superiority Fighter, F-4E Phantom II
Strategic Bombers Used: none
Ground Attack Aircraft Used (Incl. Gunships and Attack Helicopters): Mi-24V Hind, Nh-48 Loktolev, SU-25 Frogfoot
Air Transport Used: C-130 Hercules, EADS CASA C-295M, Let L-410 Turbolet
Number of Aircraft: 878

Number of Destroyers: 28
Number of Cruisers: none
Number of Aircraft Carriers: 1
Number of Amphibious Assault Ships: 2
Number of Submarines: 15
Personnel: 19,656 active, 45,864 reserve

Paramilitary Groups(Note: This would cover Militias as well as special warrior groups) Central New Austzeland Alliance

Stated Purpose of Paramilitary Group(s): To defend New Austzeland from terrorists and other threats
Small Arms Used: Many, mostly Soviet weapons such as the AK family
Body Armor Used: typically none
Infantry Support Weapons Used: Many, mostly PKMs, SVDs and RPKs
Anti-Tank/Anti-Vehicle Weapons Used: RPG family and other guided rockets
Vehicles Used: mostly technicals, though on rare occasions APCs and even tanks are used
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: Citizens of New Austzeland may join up voluntarily. They are trained somewhat well, though their poor funding makes it hard to train them well
Brief Summary of Standard Doctrine: Guerilla warfare, for the most part. There typically are not any bases, just small scattered camps with pockets of fighters.
Brief Summary of Paramilitary Culture: While some joined the CNAA to avoid serving in the NADF for whatever reason, some are ex-NADF.
Are the organizations primarily Offensive or Defensive?: Offensive
Are the organizations under a clear Military command, under clear command of the State, or mostly independent?: Mostly independent
Is there significant civilian support for the Paramilitary groups? Yes
Personnel: 20,000 estimated
Combat Personnel: 19,000 estimated

Overall Assessment: Although the influence of New Austzeland's past Soviet ties are quite apparent in the modern NADF, the Future Integrated Soldier Technology program will fully modernize the NADF by 2020. New Austzeland has seen an ever-increasing danger from the Austzeland Democratic Republic Party and many other terrorist organizations. Though the NADF has been proven to keep the threat from the much larger Lossesin Revolutionary Armed Forces at bay, thwarting many of their attacks on numerous occasions. Ever since 1985, the NADF has taken part in the 2nd Austzelandi War in 1999 (strategic victory), the 3rd Austzelandi War in 2014 (armistice), the Islamist Attacks in Bratislav (victory), and the 2014 Pantaira War (victory). Not included are the ongoing War in New Austzeland, and the Lossesin-Austzeland conflict. Much more info can be found here.

Are the branches of the Military united with a clear command structure for use between branches?: Yes
Are Strategic Decisions decided by Military or Civilian leadership?: Military
Are the branches more or less united, with open co-operation between the branches?: Branches often cooperate with each other depending on the situation
Are there any enmities between branches?: Some rivalries, though it is often seen as a running joke among the soldiers
Is the overall Strategic Doctrine Defensive or Offensive?: Mix of both, though leaning more towards Defensive
Nuclear Option?: Yes
How many?: 18 warheads
Via Submarine?: Yes
Via Strategic Bomber?: No
Via land-based ICBM?: Yes
Via land-based TBM?: Yes

Those who make it through go into junior training where they learn to use the more advanced weapon systems, further study in strategy and tactics and how to work as a single entity towards their goal. At last there is specialist training where they will learn advanced markmanship, drone usage, mountaineering and other specialties. Each soldier takes at leas 9 specialist courses.
Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine: Full spectrum operations
Brief Summary of Military Culture: The military has never been very prominent in Wolfian culture. Exceptions would be after their humiliating defeat in WWI and their much better performance in WWII. However it is very well funded and despite all remains a steady stream of recruits. Its origins are in the private militaries of the Megacorporations before founding of the state. They value their professionalism highly, and will strife to maximise their capabilities. Discipline is strict and are the punishment issued by military court harsher than of the civilian one. As a mark of higher responsibility they are also harsher for higher ranked soldiers, and does even extend to the death penalty, which is otherwise banned in the state.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities):Tactical thinking and creative solutions are vital part of their training. They can quickly analyse the combat environment and are able to move quickly to seize any momentary weakness in enemy defenses. Advanced communications system are meant to ensure that they are fully aware of every detail that may affect their situation.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities): Similar to the tactical capabilities, capable of quickly analysing and the combat environment and adapt accordingly. Very advanced communication systems and protocols ensure smooth flow of information.
Assessment of Logistical Capabilities: The State's internal logistic capabilities consist of top-notch rail and highway system. The navy has a moderate supply network capable of supporting forces abroad. The pinnacle of Wolfian logistics (and in a way, force projection) is their large fleet of transport aircrafts. To fully utilize them the army has also developed several techniques to rapidly set up landing strips for even the largest strategic transports. For theatre-level logistics they have also developed a heavy-lift VTOL, each capable of transporting up to a MBT, ready to battle.
Personnel: Around 5 million
Combat Personnel: 1.000.200

Air Forces

Fighter Aircraft Used: Eurofighter Typhoon (Multi-purpose fighter, Europe), AS-91 Aurora (Stealth air superiority fighter), SF-55 Hailstorm (Strike fighter/electronic attack aircraft)

Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: Varies, usually based on the Wolfian Army Training.
Brief Summary of Standard Doctrine: Varies
Brief Summary of Paramilitary Culture: Professional soldier, discipline varies between corporations.
Are the organizations primarily Offensive or Defensive?: Varies
Are the organizations under a clear Military command, under clear command of the State, or mostly independent?: They are completely independent, although most are either owned fully by the megacorporations (Middlar Megacorporation especially) or they own a large share. All however are bound by Wolfian Laws, which bans them for working for enemies of the State and enlists them for support in an all-out war.
Is there significant civilian support for the Paramilitary groups? Those on stock market are usually considered solid investments. There is no notable support but there is no stigma however against private militaries either.

Commonwealth of Morrdh

Level V

The Commonwealth features a military that is definitely one of the more unusual we have yet to see. The quality of the soldierly is considered adequate with marksmanship being notable throughout. It is still believed that Marshites enjoy a significant advantage in the arena of training and experience, with an equally notable advantage in the technical aspects of arms. Marshite forces are believed to have significant advantages in the strategic arts of war with the tactical application of warfare by the officers of Morrdh considered competent. Independent action at the lower level is always nice to hear. In the end, the Marshite army enjoys a significant advantage in a direct comparison between the two armies, but such things do not exist in a vacuum. The Royal Morridane Air Force is outclassed in equipment and training by the Marshite Airforce by a significant amount, but the RMAF is vast and almost without counting. While the supply chain and maintenance of the vast air force appears suspect, the sheer number of planes it can put into the air would be difficult to face during an invasion. Likewise, the Morian Naval Forces are extremely well staffed but suffer from a considerable disadvantage in firepower. While the Morian navy is not something to be dismissed, the HMN in all likelihood would be able to sustain an invasion. The real problem comes from the Home Guard. While not a quality defensive force of note, it is vast. Only a full deployment of the Army would be capable of sustaining itself under their deluge. Victory against the Commonwealth is very possible despite all this- it is considered a relatively simple task of destroying their aeronautical facilities to neuter their air and then bleed out their armed forces bit by bit. It would be a long and bloody war, but an invasion could be successful. No doubt a defense of Holy Warsh would be a foregone conclusion: They would have issues across the board and be absolutely overwhelmed with no native advantages. For all of that, an invasion of the Commonwealth would be a long and bloody affair and M-SAD sees no reason to issue such a directive.

The People's Unified Federation of Mokastana

Level V

The United Federation is a very well-equipped nation, equaling in many aspects the Mashite military. However, their competent but unspectacular training pales in comparison to Marshite training and their unremarkable and predictable tactical and strategic thought would be a detriment when arrayed against the Marshite military. Their emphasis on psychological warfare is considered utterly ineffective against the Holy Marsh and the Marshite military enjoys significant advantages in numbers and warmaking ability on the ground. It is executed that the Federation would go to Guerrilla Warfare, which is a smart move. The Marshite Military still enjoys vast superiority and experience in fighting such movements and it is considered a strategy that would ensure their eventual defeat by Marshite forces, even if it draws the conflict out. The local paramilitary groups are superb individually but it is doubtful they would work together and in any case even together they are minnows in the sea of tiger fish. The Air Force is mostly logistics oriented and outnumbered to a massive degree, allowing Marshite control of the sky.
It is the United Federation's superb Navy which, will not allowing it to sustain an invasion of Holy Marsh, would enable it to put up an effective defense of the homeland. There are still issues- Marshites enjoy an advantage in numbers as well as logistical and maintenance supply chain- but subduing the Mokastanian navy would be a brutal process. Victory is indeed expected, but the Marshite military would get a bloody nose for its efforts.

Republic of New Austzeland

Level II

The New Austzeland Ground Forces are well-equipped but pale in comparison to Marshite arms, a problem compounded by the decidedly vast advantage Marshites have in training. While the NAGF has officers of high caliber, its focus on COIN and small scale actions, even if bolsters by experience in small wars, pales in comparison due to experience and doctrine. They are outnumbered to a devastating degree, leaving Marshites in near total control of the battlefield from the opening moments. This is compounded by devastating logistical issues throughout their military- while they claim vast logistical capability, their army, navy, and air force are all understaffed and it is believed that as a result their vastly outnumbered air, ground, and sea elements would be unable to resist for long. The war is a foregone conclusion with only the high quality of the NAGF's officers allowing them to survive open combat for more than a week.

The Incorporated States of the Wolfian State

Level II

The Wolfian State is well-equipped across the board, though the mixing of eras and types of aircraft leads us to believe they enjoy no qualitative advantage. The military culture is weak and training competent if not remarkable. They are overwhelmed by Marshite numbers, willingness to engage in combat and military culture, experience, and training. Few factors bode well for the Wolfian State, as its main doctrine is offensive and Marshites enjoy such an advantage in the air and sea that the invasion would be smashed in the open waters far from the Grand Theocracy. It poses no threat on the offensive, and on the defensive Marshite advantages are vast. The local security groups for corporations could more easily be bought as the Marshite State would have little need to interfere in the corporate dealings of Wolfian, ruining any possibility of a prolonged resistance. The air and sea elements are well-equipped but Marshites enjoy significant advantages in every arena. M-SAD believes that a corporate-led assault backed up by a few Marshite Ranger Divisions could possibly smash Wolfian without the need for additional deployment, or at least weaken Wolfian enough to ensure success in the following invasion.

Alderann

The Imperial Army of Alderann is outclassed in every arena by Marshites. The Theocracy features substantially better training, equipment, experience, and an overwhelming advantage in numbers. Despite their claim of highest strategic capabilities, the M-SAD's understanding of the situation is different. While their spartan military culture is a significant aid, the fact that nobility and nobility alone become officers means it is possible and indeed probably likely that their officer corp is substantially worse off than Marshite officers. Compounding this are logistical staff issues that are only solved by a full investment and deployment- even then, they are understaffed. The Imperial Army stands little shot of stopping the Marshite military, and it is not aided by the Imperial Air Force or Navy for long. Both are not only overwhelmed by Marshite numbers and outclassed in training, experience, and equipment, but both suffer from similar logistical difficulties. The only thing holding back a swift defeat is their spartan military culture, but even that can be broken and, in the case of an Alderann-Marshite war, it would be broken.

About expected.

Air Force based and calculated off RAF's peak strength, though I think I reduced the ratio of aircraft by about 3/4s to account for jet aircraft over piston ones. Though I think the numbers are off in places, though it works out as roughly 3% of total population excluding the Home Guard. Manpower was calculated by using the US Armed Forces as a basis.

Oh, I expected as much. This is M-SAD's assessment and mattered little, since the difference between being able to field 1.4 million of your plans and 1.6-which is all the difference that it made to M-SAD- is minor to the assessment. You also get huge points from me for having a uniquely modeled army!

Yeah, tis kinda like a weird Cold War Era British/Commonwealth military with some NSgrade stuff thrown in.

I really to get round to updating the Anti-Tank weapons I have for my infantry battalion TOE over on NSD.

Infantry Support Weapons Used: SchwF-3 light machine gun. LchtK-3 GPMG. GrW-1 infantry mortar. LchtGrW grenade launcher. M17 "Eikenmine" antipersonnel mine (also comes in gun-launched version).
Anti-Tank/Anti-Vehicle Weapons Used: PAW-21 missile launcher, FAR-92 portable SAM, PAW-22 top-attack missile launcher. M18 "Wurm" antitank mine (also comes in gun-launched version).
APCs/IFVs Used:
-Foreign Legion: Schlachtwagen-13 Expeditionary IFV, PzW-82 General Purpose Armoured Carrier
-Citizen Armies: Schlachtwagen-14 IFV, PzW-82 GPAC
Tanks Used:
-Foreign Legion: Stosspanzer VI/120 "Gespenst" expeditionary MBT, LchtPz-4/90 scout tank, Panzerwulf-98 missile tank destroyer.
-Citizen armies: Schlachtpanzer V/140 "Adler" heavy MBT, LchtPz-4/90 scout tank, Panzerwulf-98 missile tank destroyer.
Artillery Used: Kanon-79 155mm towed gun-howitzer, Sturmkanon-4 SPG, LAR-200 SPAA, Kanon-12 300mm emplaced gun (Citizen Armies only).
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment:
-Citizen Armies: All adult male citizens are required to serve in the various state militias of the constituent city-states and republics of Sigvardia. Before they are 18 years old they are members of the Youth Defence, which gives them some training in teamwork and fieldcraft. When they are 18 years old they are taken in for one year of training, which is then followed up by bi-annual excercises, one in the summer and one in winter. There is significant cross-training between the different military occupations. Urban warfare and insurgency recieve the most attention, training-wise.
-Foreign Legion: Are recruited from foreign nationals. While some formations are hired in whole from other nations most soldiers are recruited individually. While experienced soldiers are preferred they all recieve roughly one year of training, including learning german which is our military language, before being assigned to their unit where they recieve the bulk of their training.
Brief Summary of Standard Military Doctrine: The Citizen Armies are only used in defence, since their morale, while high, quickly drops when going outside our borders. Expected opponent is peer or superior power. Strategic priorities when attacked is to delay the progress of enemy forces up the valley until allies can counterattack. Heavy use of countermobility measures and making use of the narrow roads forested hills of the border region. If the mountain tunnels are threatened they can easily be collapsed. In regards to expeditionary warfare the expectation is that we are fighting with allies, in which case the foreign legion will try to manuever around enemy strongpoints.
Brief Summary of Military Culture: Citizens have high morale and focus as long as they're fighting in defense of their motherland. Skuda are generally quite fit and like the outdoors. They tend to have high low-level initiative which serves them well in urban warfare. They are not prone to bragging, letting instead their actions spead for their skill and valour.
Legionnaires, while of varied backgrounds have professional pride and many of them come from warrior traditions.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Tactical Capabilities): Citizen officers are well educated and have some experience in high-intensity warfare. Mercenary officers are all highly skilled veterans with good service records. All officers are excellent at creating killing fields in the limited entry points into the League territories.
Assessment of Officer Corps (Strategic Capabilities): High command is skilled but conservative.
Assessment of Logistical Capabilities: Infrastructure is excellent, and our forces have more than enough military trucks. We don't have much ability to project force independently though.
Personnel:
-Citizen Armies: 12 million, all combat capable.
-Foreign Legion: 800,000
Combat Personnel:
-Citizen Armies: 4 million
-Foreign Legion: 260,000

Body Armor Used: None.
Infantry Support Weapons Used: M17 "Eikenmine" AP mine
Anti-Tank/Anti-Vehicle Weapons Used: M18 "wurm" antitank mines
Vehicles Used: 3 3/4 ton trucks, civilian vehicles.
Brief Summary of Training and Recruitment: All children are inducted into the Youth at an early age, and are taught fieldcraft and teamwork in the weekends as well as the summer and winter excercise seasons. In school they learn the operation of small arms in civic virtue classes.
Brief Summary of Standard Doctrine: In war they will take the role of civic defence and emergency responders, freeing up men for the frontline. If they spot enemy infiltrators they will call in more qualified soldiers. If caught near the front lines they will support the soldiers by carrying ammunition or providing first aid.
Brief Summary of Paramilitary Culture: Dutyful, if somewhat boyish.
Are the organizations primarily Offensive or Defensive?: Defensive.
Are the organizations under a clear Military command, under clear command of the State, or mostly independent?: Under clear state command.
Is there significant civilian support for the Paramilitary groups? Yes, they are the sons and daughters of Sigvardia.
Personnel: 3 million
Combat Personnel: 0, under ideal circumstances.

Overall Assessment:

Are the branches of the Military united with a clear command structure for use between branches?: Yes.
Are Strategic Decisions decided by Military or Civilian leadership?: In League-wide matters, there is no distinction between military and civilian leadership. The League is first and foremost a military-defensive organisation.
Are the branches more or less united, with open co-operation between the branches?: Yes.
Are there any enmities between branches?: No.
Is the overall Strategic Doctrine Defensive or Offensive?: Defensive
Nuclear Option?: No, not considered necessary for successful defence.
How many?: 0
Via Submarine?: 0
Via Strategic Bomber?: 0
Via land-based ICBM?: 0
Via land-based TBM?: 0

OOC: It's a bit unfun to fill in the form to be judged in relative terms to a huge, militaristic nation.

hmm, I'm cool with that. Population limits tend to hinder your warmongering abilities. However, I must ask, what makes psychological warfare "utterly ineffective against the

Two thousand years of unrelenting Total War against the Lardite Cult, who practiced every form of debauchery under the sun. Marshites can't be shaken through word, threat, or action. Your military is pretty nice- I like the way you constructed it.

@Sigvardian: I wait until I get a few people before I grade but I wanted to say that if you feel as though it is unfair, I'm sorry someone made you/forced you to fill this out. It is not my intention to make someone uncomfortable.

No Future-Tech, as stated in the OP. Though I will say your combat personnel to logistics ratio is really poor.
