Welcome to the second season of the International Super Formula Championship (NSFC).

This thread is open to those who have registered and have been accepted.
(OOC discussion)

Featuring a semi-open formula with a common spec chassis, 29 drivers in 16 teams will battle across ten world circuits to prove the superiority of not only their skills, but also their engines and tyres. With a single aerodynamic, suspension, and transmission setting across all cars, the best combination of skill, strategy, suppliers, and luck will come out on top.

Hodoran Drivers to Start 1-2
Super Formula Hodori Qualify Flash

gttv.co.hd/ln:en/dev:pc/news/id:2157

Qualify 1
The first qualify session at Dashoze earlier this afternoon was set under an overcast sky, with dark clouds warning of impending rain in the latter half of the session. Vilitan Jurecai Klianiota (No.7) shattered the previous course record, setting the Q1 pole at a blazing 1:38.466 and setting the bar out of reach of Pedro Moreno (No.12), who had registered a best lap of 1:39.188. Despite her relative inexperience with the car, Sayono Souzare (No.9) managed to edge out DataSat Racing's Alexei Larionov (No.88) for the final Q2 Slot with the last of her allotted laps. Electrum's James Mathieson (No.11), driving for Triple One Racing, set the slowest time of the session.

Qualify 2
During the intermission period, the sounds of teams preparing for the second qualify session was mixed with those of a torrential downpour. Souzare managed the largest gain, setting the Q2 pole at 1:40.451. Tagako Samogi (No.8) also improved her position, setting the second-best Q2 time after ending Q1 in 11th. Defending Driver's Champion iBen Toralmintii (No.77) will start fourth. Teammate Klianiota fell from the top of the table to ninth in Q2's wet conditions. Other drivers that lost several positions in Q2 are Moreno (2 -> 10), Bryan Wilson (No.313; 3 -> 7), Bryant Gambal (No.99; 6 -> 11), Sebastian Devitt (No.69; 4 -> 12), and Joshua Parks (No.6, 5 -> 13).

GT TV race broadcast will begin at 14:30 Hodoran time (Convert to Your Local Time Image), with video and Hodoran-language feeds available from the GT TV site Image, and English-language commentary available from Radio Esportiva Image.

Formula Lleidia SF Amoni - Qualifying Report

Results:
D. Donaldson - 14th
T. Fenan - 24th

Formula Lleidia have marked their debut into the NSFC season with a qualifying performance which puts the rookie team in the middle of the grid, but with two varied performances. The experienced Yveltalian Donaldson made it into Q2 and managed to secure 14th for the team, but new driver Fenan, native to Lleidia, seemed to struggle.

"It was a tough session, to say the least. Temperatures were low and we struggled to get heat into the tyres. They were shuddering and skipping across the track and I couldn't get around the corners with any speed. That said, Donaldson finished 10 places ahead, so maybe my inexperience had someting to do with it." Fenan chuckled at the after-session conference.

Donaldson added "Tjuder did well based on the circumstances. The tyres were not suited to the conditions and we struggled as a result. Hopefully we can improve tomorrow and score some points."

During his press conference he had the following to say to the following questions. When asked how he felt his car held up: "You know it felt good, tires were very stiff, but they managed to hold up for the majority of the race, as you could see we had very little issues with the durability of the tires. So we made the right choice in going with the Deluxe Twos by Vulcan Racing. They could have gripped better but we got a lot of use out of them, very impressed."

When asked how his chassis held up with all of his antics and technical maneuvers which sometimes ended in an almost bumper car seeming action: "You know the we came out and we knew that with how I do things that some people wouldn't be used to all the different things I do to gain time, and we had a feeling a few people would kinda ding us up a little, didn't really expect to be hit so many times. It's a, it's a good thing we have those harnesses, I think without those things would have gotten real ugly."

When asked how he felt he could have done better: "You know you can always do better, whether you're coming in first or you're coming in last, there's always room for improvement. I feel like if maybe I had have milked a few turns a little better, and hadn't have gotten into so many hits with other cars it would have improved my time. I'll just continue to work in the simulator and continue to try and improve my times, as well as coming out with my personal vehicle and trying to get decent times with my car, and hopefully running the track more will get me more in tune with the course."

When asked what he intends to do Monday: "Going to come out and focus on fundamentals and technique, get the weight of the car to the front of the car going into turns, try to power out of turns as much as possible, the basic racing pieces that are necessary to be successful. I think everyone will be more acclimated to each other drives, and I'll just come out and continue to make moves that I deem necessary to make things happen. Get down in the shop and keep being in line with my crew members and make sure we all get some good sleep, and that there aren't any distractions in the pit so that when we come through for checks the mental side as well as the technological side can be in our favor. We'll bring our best on Monday."

Formula Lleidia SF Amoni - Race Report

Results:
T. Fenan - 5th
D. Donaldson - DNF

The rain which Tjuder had prayed for came down in Hodori yesterday, as he was able to jump 19 places from 24th to 5th in a spectacular performance for the young Lleidian. The rain had poor effects for his teammate Dustin, who was only able to complete 34 out of 48 laps.

"I enjoy myself in the rain and that showed today. If we'd got the heat in the tires during qualifying I could've made the podium but we had to make do. We just have to keep our heads up and move on to next week."

Team Fashiontopia Check In
Image
Team Fashiontopia Driver Kris Clark

Today Team Fashiontopia finished the race classified as DNF or Did Not Finish participants due to the fact that they only complete 38 out of 48 laps needed to complete the race. The rain - unlike the qualifying session where it threatened but never came down - never stopped, and driver Kris Clark seemed to be very hesitant the push his car with the roads being as bad as they were, however as the race wore on, turning in more bad times, he began to push the car harder in order to try and get back in the race. The driver and crew are being interviewed on how they felt they could have done better.

When asked how he felt about the rain affecting his driving and his car: "You know the rain was very tough to beat, we came out and we didn't want to push the car too hard because we knew that our tires were designed for long term use on better roads, the roads weren't in our favor so our tires naturally slipped made it hard to keep speed because of more than necessary hydroplaning and difficulty maintaining stability in and out of turns."

When asked how he felt about being the top car that did not finish the race: "I mean obviously you, you never want to be anything other than first overall, but getting the best spot you can is always a plus, got a good 38 laps out of the track, and did some good things later on, like I said we made a decision to speed up later on and we got at least in position to come within 10 laps."

On how he felt the crew helped: "We have easily one of the better crews, getting in and out of the pit in good time is always a good thing, with our tires being so durable we were able to stay on the track, and without gunning the engine so hard that helped as well so the pit crew was there when it was necessary, continuing to stay alert and ready to take action. So many props to them."

"Is that it... okay... thanks everyone"

Pit Crew Leader Jennifer Baker

We were able to catch up with Pit Crew Leader Jennifer Baker to talk to her on the phone to see her perspective on exactly how she felt about the race from the crew's perspective.

When asked how she felt about the rain overall: "Hi guys, Pit Sergeant Jennifer Baker here, uhh you know the rain was definitely something that was tough for Kris out there, you know we made sure that we stayed alert, Kris talked to us and made sure we stayed positive and upbeat about any outcome. Overall, I think the rain did hurt us, first of all you know they rain brought some cool air through, of course we had prepared for that with thermals to protect us. And we had a lot of water and electrolytes down there to keep us well hydrated and thinking properly."

When asked how she felt the crew could have helped squeeze out a few more laps: "Well, you know there's always something you can do better, umm it's just the nature of it, when the rain comes, there's always going to be watery and muggy conditions out there so we could have had better access to shelter, the awnings there didn't favor us as far as keeping wind blown rain out."

When asked if she felt that Kris Clark could have done better: "You know I know Kris personally and I've been a part of his Pit Crew since he started a few years back, I generally don't have any complaints with his performance and this isn't one of them, we tried to push the car as hard as possible later in the race to try and finish but you know sometimes the little things can get to you. Overall, he's a good driver, I'm looking forward to competing with him next time out."

With the car in the shop Kris and Jennifer and the other crew members continue to look over the race and study the film from the various laps to see where different improvements can be made in their racing. With the smell of fresh coffee, doughnuts, sweat, and the aroma of burnt tired and engine guts in the air, the crew and Kris sit down at a table in the office upstairs where the smell of tire shine and wool suits fill the air. Holding his tie and taking his seat, the Team owner Greg Robinson greets the team with grace. "Before anyone says anything, first let me make sure I let you all know we had a good race, and no one is going to be fired." A sign of relief shakes hands with the air in the room and pleads to be allowed to join the other smells.

"Now as we can all see on film, clearly we had some problems out of the track, the tires of our sponsors are good, but not great on wet surfaces, now my specialty is being able to drive on wet surfaces, but this just hurts, tires spinning with torque and horsepower becoming irrelevant with slick tires, slick roads, and turns of impending death. Now I feel like next race with there being less chance for rain, we can come out a lot harder and take care of business. We see that the top three teams that finished with the best times all had some combination of either the same tires as us, or the same engine as us. So given my skill set, and the combination we chose; we can see that with a little tweaking of our game we can make what we need happen. But overall if we stay consistent and remain aggressive I feel like we can potentially win races."

Pointing at a diagram of the tire design, Kris Clark continues through his presentation to a pause point where he entertains questions. "So Kris, I'm feeling like with less rain in the next few races that we can do damage, but man you've got to come through the pit more often, those tires are great and long lasting, but we still need to make those few adjustments to that engine and drivetrain, that's why around laps 12-15 and laps 30-35 you kept seeing the clutch stiffen up and your brakes kept fading, you've got to come through so we can take looks at those."

"True, true, and next race I'll definitely be making sure that we get all that taken care of, I'm going to start just having a routine check calendar in the car, so that I can look up, see what lap I'm on, and come through just to get a quick diagnostics check and get back on the road. That's all fine with me." He nods his head looking around confidently. The team owner offers his opinion: "I feel like really the brake fade wasn't much of a problem on that road with all that water, sure he needed to stop, but the car is light enough really to go without the brakes at 100% throughout the race. Really the main thing is continuing to keep all the wheels on the ground, during some of those turns you were in mud on off the track, that mud can either kill your traction, or it can get stuck in your unsprung weight department and hurt you big time. And like Jennifer said in the interview, it's really the little things that can destroy you."

Everyone nods, Jennifer adds: "I think another thing that hurt our awareness is that some of us were signing autographs in the pit during the race! We talked it over, and we agreed to go ahead and put up a curtain to block out the back of the pit and keep people from seeing in and trying to bother us mid-race." "Good idea Jennifer, you all have got to maintain a level of professionalism at all times, this may not be a corporate office, but we still need to maintain our focus out there. Let's go ahead and adjourn this meeting so we can continue to prepare for next week, we'll meet again later to continue to discuss the future, long story short, forget about last week, by tomorrow, short term memory, let it go, come back harder next week, you have less rain, and a chance to shine, let's do this thing."

TORALMINTII SINGING IN THE RAIN

Dashoze Circuit, Hodori :: Defending International Super Formula Championship driver's champion iBen Toralmintii claimed victory in the opening round of the NSFC 2 in the rain at the Dashoze Circuit's Super Formula Hodori.

The victory marks Toralmintii's second straight on the circuit, having won the NSFC 1's season ending event at the Ilgana Circuit in Darmen, what would end up being a Championship Clinching performance.

All in all it was a fine start to the title defending season for the Vilita & Turori Motorsports drivers with Juracai Klianiota setting a new track record in Hodori during the opening rounds of qualifying.

However, once the rains started to come in, Klianiota struggled to maintain his consistency while the Turorian driver's Champion thrived, eventually taking the win by about a second over Souzare of the familiarly flagged HIEDA Tropicorp SF Team Dekijika, a great advertisement for the Tropicorp Engineering produced rubber.

Toralmintii and the Vilita & Turori Motorsports team will now be focused on maintaining their level of performance as the series returns home to Turori for the first time with the new circuit in Eelandii being selected to host its first NSFC event.

The Super Formula Round Turori at the Eelandii Grand Prix Course will be the first major competitive event to be held at the Circuit, although it has previously held many test and exposition sessions including a formal shakedown for all competitors during the 12th World Grand Prix Championships.

Eelandii, an officially unrecognized city according to the official map of Turori, is located between the capital of Almintora and the center of sport in Cednia, was stood up prior to the World Cup 63 Finals hosted in Turori with the creation of a brand new state of the art sporting complex for football and athletics known as Eels Park. Looking to expand Eelandii's reputation as a 'center of sport' for the Island Emirate, the Eelandii Grand Prix circuit broke ground following the completion of the World Cup 63 finals in the shadows of Eels Park, the new home of the Turori National Football/Soccer team.

Toralmintii, the most decorated driver in Turorian history, had a say in the development of the course and was the first driver on the track once the course was complete to shakedown and approve the track for proper use.

Now, Toralmintii and Vilitan teammate Klianiota will be looking to put that experience to the test when the rubber meets the road and points are on the line in the Super Formula Turori event.

Ilgana looks to put a disapointing and wet SFR Hodori behind them, Turori is all that matters
Parks to start 6th, Newman 17th

Joshua Parks and Billy Newman failed to perform well in the rain, as reigning champion iBen Toralmintii raced away from the rest of the field to claim the first victory of the season on the Dashoze Circuit in Hodori. The two Ilgana drivers finished 12th and 19th, with both drivers moving up one position from where they were on the starting grid.

"Neither of us are very good in wet conditions," stated Parks prior to the race, "but I'd say that between the two of us, Newman has more experience in these types of races."

Newman did indeed have the fastest lap between the two drivers, but despite that, he finished three laps behind the winner Toralmintii.

Newman later explained, "We had an extended pit stop that hurt us quite a bit. After I overshot the pit box completely, it took some time for the crew member operating the front jack to recover after he had to dive out of my way, and then the man working on the front left wheel couldn't get the lug nut on tight enough. It was all messed up, I think everyone panicked a bit, and that's never good in auto racing."

Parks, Newman, and the rest of the Ilgana team will now turn their attention to setting fast times at the Eelandii GP Circuit in Turori. Parks has already done so in qualifying, where he set a time of 1:31.214 and will start the race in 6th position. Newman meanwhile, will start in 17th.

"I think I'm set up in a good position to score our first points of the season," said Parks after the second qualifying session. "But it's no secret that Ilgana wants the Team Championship, so everyone's hoping Newman does much better in this race, and that he can carry that confidence to points in future races."

HEARTBREAK IN EELANDII

Eelandii, Turori :: Defending International Super Formula Championship driver's champion iBen Toralmintii narrowly missed extending his winning streak with a runner-up finish at the track he helped design, the Eelandii Grand Prix Circuit in Turori.

The first competitive event held at the Eelandii Grand Prix Circuit after many exhibition, demonstration and testing events, Toralmintii entered the weekend as the clear favorite having been the defending driver's champion and coming off a win in the previous event in Hodori.

However, it was Vilita & Turori Motorsports teammate Juracai Klianiota who stole the show in qualifying post a record lap of 1:29.887, the only driver to complete the course in under 90 seconds.

By the time the green flag came, however, the on track conditions had changed and the wet pavement was not to the liking of Klianiota who over drove turn 11 on the opening lap to surrender the top spot.

Klianiota's day would eventually end while fighting for the third spot with White Dragon Racing's Sebastian Devitt. Neither driver was giving an inch and, with Devitt on the inside, the two drivers had too much momentum heading into turn three and both ended up off track and into the tires ending their day.

The incident did help iBen Toralmintii, the Turorian champion who had moved up into the 5th position at the time. However, there was another story brewing at that was of Yelizaveta Mikhailov, the Hyak Racing driver who was picking off cars one by one, starting from the last position Mikhailov charged pasted Toralmintii on the restart then set sail making quick work of the leaders before building up an insurmountable lead.

Toralmintii was able to fight his way up to second, but it was the most bittersweet podium finish of the Turorian drivers career, having failed yet again to win on his home turf.

Motorsports Electrum News

Whats in store for our future?

Let's be honest here. We haven't done as well as we have liked so far (Though, who could blame them?). Although Jill Byrne and James Mathieson were great riders of their time at Electrum Supercars, they have been failing to make a dent on the world stage. Of course, that is something we expect -- there is still room for improvement and lots need to be done.

At least the Triple One team are doing something about it. The first thing they have announced is a new 'New Motoring Developement Program' on a new, specially designed raceway in Centralis. With Mercola Performance and Electrum Tyres on board, the three entities have come together to build new cars by scratch for training and practice. It is hoped that experimental improvements in tyre compositions, engine tweaks and refuelling/pit stops will give the Triple One Racing team that extra edge they need to do better.

Of course it goes without saying that driver training is also important. The test track and new cars will give trainee and reserve drivers of the team to practice and hone their skills before being admitted into the team. Although there are rumours of a Byrne leaving the team by the end of the cycle, she have kept quiet about it so far. Nonetheless, should a person is needed to step up to the plate for next season, you can be sure that that driver will have some experience under their belt.

In terms of performance so far in the competition, we find ourselves in the third round with zero points recorded against Triple One's name. Both drivers have not made it to Q2 as of yet, but they have put up a good performance so far. In the first round in Hodori, Mathieson had the slowest time, coming dead last (29th) in Q1 whereas Byrne was further up the field at 25th. However, thanks to skilful maneuvering and overtaking after two accidents on Lap 34 and 35, the positions were reversed as Byrne came dead last (22nd) and Mathieson managing to leap 15 places to a respectable 14th at his first outing.

The second round in Turori at the Eelandii GP Circuit saw once again Mathieson coming near the back of the field with Byrne just ahead. However once again, Byrne had a gearbox failure and could not finish the race. Meanwhile, Mathieson has shown his worth again by leaping from 27th to 13th.

So what can we learn from the past few rounds? Mathieson does not do well in making the fastest laps, however he makes up for it with his ability to overtake almost effortlessly. Meanwhile, Byrne can make better laps, but she's been beset by bad luck so far. Only time will tell if Triple One Racing decides to keep both of them on the team.

Newman claims Podium, Parks struggles after good qualifying run
Consistency key, say drivers

Despite qualifying in sixth, Joshua Parks would have a terrible day at the Kingston Circuit in Vyktory, finishing four laps down in 12th place and out of any championship points. Meanwhile, Billy Newman, who qualified in 13th, put in a fantastic performance, fending off Alan Cahill and Azura d'Agnostino in the final lap to claim third place.

Newman now stands in at 9th place in the Driver's Standings, with 14 points total. Parks meanwhile has not claimed a single point through three rounds. That's a big difference compared to last season, when Parks had 20 points and a race victory to his name and Newman was on 4 points. Ilgana as a team is 10 points behind where it was last season after three rounds.

"I've yet to perform as well as I'd like to," commented Parks after finishing 52 out of 56 laps at Kingston. "I think Newman has claimed the #1 spot on the team, which doesn't bode well for my hopes to try and finish in the Top 3 of the Driver's Standings. Of course Ilgana is going for the Team title, and with two more rounds than last season, we've got a lot of time to move up in the team standings."

"The goal for Zoldelloring is to have both myself and Parks in the Top 10," said Newman in his post race interview. "If you look at DataSat and Grande Scuderia Nekoni, that's exactly how they're pulling ahead of the field in the Team Standings. They're getting good finishes from both of their drivers. A team can't win the title with only one driver scoring points." He also added, "Consistency is key. We need to start scoring points in every race. That of course means doing well in qualifying and making sure to stay out of trouble during the race, making sure to bring the car home at the end of the day."

Joshua Parks agreed with his teammate, stating, "Last season, if I scored, Newman didn't. If we have any hope of finishing in the Top 3 again as a team, or winning the Team title, we need to make sure we're both scoring points."

Super Formula Season Approaches Halfway Point
Super Formula Round of the Royal Barangay Preview

gttv.co.hd/ln:en/dev:pc/news/id:2177

Who Will Take The Win?
As the top drivers are weighed down with ballast, fans can expect intense battles for the top of the podium at the high-speed Circuito de Respaña Viejo in the Royal Barangay. Drivers at the top of the rankings will be fighting to retain their position, while those further down are aiming for an opportunity to improve their points standings, or for the unranked drivers, a chance to be placed on the table. Bryant Gambal (No.99) and Rudolf Ibuna (No.999), racing at home, will have the support of their domestic fans in their quest to make a comeback.

Last of the ranked teams, Pangkat Anutin Tabu has only the single point earned in Hodori by Ibuna, leaving the team with a large amount of ground to cover and diminishing opportunities to do so. Team Fashiontopia, lacking any points, is likely to be more desperate due to their currently unranked status. Though the teams will need to fight through the field for strong finishes, recent withdrawals will likely make this easier to accomplish.

Fierce Fighting for Points Lead
As the International Super Formula Championship heads to the Royal Barangay, defending driver champion and current points leader iBen Toralmintii (No.77) is watching his points lead evaporate. Vauganaians Sergei Konstantinov (No.16) and Alexei Larionov (No.88) and Nekonian pilots Alex Mastretta (No.3) and Azura d'Agnostino (No.4) are within striking distance of the top of the table. Vyktoryan Josh willson (No.314), Hodoran Sayono Souzare (No.9), and Itanpavian driver Tom Smith (No.38) have an opportunity to take the points lead with a win and no points scored by the points leaders.

In the team rankings, DataSat Racing and Grande Scuderia Nekoni are breaking away from the rest of the grid with a sizeable but not insurmountable lead. Vilita & Turori Motorsports, with Toralmintii's two strong finishes, has slipped to third after failing to score points in Vyktory and Nekoni. Alwasi's White dragon Racing, after an unimpressive start, is making a resurgence with a strong finish in Nekoni, trailing 31 points behind DataSat Racing and 29 behind defending team champion Grande Scuderia Nekoni.

Two Teams Withdraw
with the complete loss of support from their home nations, Solenial's Lenovo Nisto Caz Racing and Nesika Illahie's Hyak Racing have been forced to withdraw from the series. Yelizaveta Mikhailov (No.22) will likely surrender third, with teammate Micheal Haywood (No.666) further back with only four points. With a combined 32 points, Hyak Racing will be forced to abandon championship aspirations.

Solenial's Xiang Qui Wang (No.888) exits the series early with two points, while Pedro Moreno (No.12) leaves empty-handed. Thus 14th ranked Lenovo Nisto Caz Racing is denied a chance to make a comeback by this unfortunate turn of events.

With the two teams unable to continue participating, Team Fashiontopia has been granted permission to expand to two machines, as they had desired before the start of the championship, a request denied by the Hodori GT-A due to the size of the entry list. As Team Fashiontopia has yet to respond, Brandon Reez is not expected to debut at the Super Formula Round of the Royal Barangay.

Hostilites Between Hodoran and Corvidae Governments Interrupt Service

gttv.co.hd/ln:en/dev:pc/news/id:2178

Following the declaration of war by the Corvidae Syndicate on the Liberantibus coalition, the Hodoran government has in return issued a formal declaration of war on Corvidae as a Liberantibus member. In retaliation, Corvidae has forced the shutdown of the Syndicate Streaming Network. As a result, GT-TV streams and recorded broadcasts are no longer avaiable on SSN Racing Hodori.

INTERNATIONAL SUPER FORMULA CHAMPIONSHIP
Good qualifying performance from Anutin Tabu pair brings hope for Monghit
by Edgar Malikay

CINTORE, RESPANA VIEJO, TRB - Pangkat Anutin Tabu is looking good this weekend at their home track.

After a mixed qualifying session which brought the rain on Q1, Pangkat Anutin Tabu drivers Rudolf Ibuna and Bryant Gambal were poised to secure a first double points finish for the Barangayan constructor, who bought a controlling stake at Monghit Motorsport last season. Gambal posted a time of 1:07.318, half a second slower than the pole time set by Juracai Klianiota of Vilita & Turori Motorsports. He outqualified his teammate Ibuna, who starts fourth, by just 0.085 of a second. Ibuna actually was fastest in the first session who saw the championship leader iBen Toralmintii fail to reach Q2. Sandwiched between the Anutin Tabu pair is Bryan Willson of VYK Motorsports.

It has been a disappointing season for PAT so far, as numerous crashes and engine failures dented hopes for a good finish. The team had only scored a solitary point this season, scored by Ibuna at the opening round at Hodori. This put them at second to the last in the team points, ahead of Team Fashiontopia who are yet to score. Team principal Samson Monghit hopes that this could be the time for them to bounce back.

The race will be broadcast live nationwide and at different countries.

Klianiota On the Ropes

Circuito de Respaña Viejo, The Royal Barangay :: At the halfway point of the 2nd International Super Formula Champions, Vilita & Turori Motorsports driver Juracai Klianiota is in danger of being replaced as second driver in the pairing that includes defending World Drivers champion iBen Toralmintii.

The Vilitan speed-demon Klianiota has shown incredible promise throughout the season, smashing track records left and right frequently turning the fastest laps week in, week out on the NSFC tour.

However, Klianiota has yet to transform any of that speed into points at the end of the day, still sitting on a goose egg at the midway point.

Looking to pick up where teammate Toralmintii left off in Season 1, Klianiota was fast out of the gate setting fast time and a new track record in the first qualifying session at the season opener in the Dashoze Circuit. By the time the race had rolled around, however, it was teammate Toralmintii who bested the pack while Klianiota was left struggling to stay in the points before retiring on lap 35.

During round 2 on home soil in Turori, Klianiota schooled the competition throughout the weekend, turning laps in his own zip code and dominating both qualifying sessions. However, Klianiota's time at the top was short lived as the Vilitan driver lost the lead on the first lap of the race and eventually crashed out while fighting for third place on lap 34 with White Dragon Racing's Sebastian Devitt.

Looking to rebound, Klianiota broke all the track records in Vyktory rolling off the truck nearly a full second faster than the field, dominating both qualifying sessions once again and posting a fast race lap before making contact with slower traffic on lap 36 ending his day. It was a whole lap more than he had completed in previous events but still a disappointing DNF for Klianiota.

Ahead to Nekoni and the Tropicorp Sifaka Tyres were really biting in the dry as Klianiota led the first qualifying sessions but was caught off guard by the wet conditions in the second session that cost him a chance at a third straight pole start. Nevertheless, the race was the same old story, this time with Klianiota failing to finish after completing 33 laps.

Surely things had to change in the Royal Barangay and it looked promising as for the first time Klianiota did not turn the fast lap in the opening round of Qualifying. However, the Vilitan driver did bounce back in the second session to take the pole away from the home driver Gambal and set a new track record. Vilitan fans all over the multiverse starting holding their breath as the laps started ticking away, 33, 34, 35, 36 and as the 37th lap went in the books, it appeared the Klianiota Kurse had been lifted. The ugly mid-30's had been survived. That was until a part run over by a competitor in front of Klianiota flew up ever so slightly from the track and smashed into the front wing which then wedged itself under the front tyre causing the Vilitan driver to lose traction and slide off into the barrier, once again ending hopes of scoring in the points.

Midway through the NSFC 2 season, Juracai Klianiota had literally re-written the record books setting 9 out of 10 possible track records in qualifying and race conditions including turning the fast qualifying lap in all 5 events but failing to finish a single event mired without even a mention in the drivers table having yet to score a single point.

Vilita & Turori officials are not entirely sure how to combat Klianiota's Kurse, whether to chalk it up to bad luck or if there is a deeper issue at play that could force them to consider a driver swap as the season goes on.
