South Seas Scoops would like to thank you for your suggestion of adding gelato to our portfolio, to join ice cream and frozen yogurt. We must say we love the idea. We thought we should detail why it is not part of our portfolio as of yet, as listed below.

Founded just a few years ago, we wanted to get established in the business before we got our feet wet with too many projects. As our home nation, Costa Alurians are a bit unfamiliar with the gelato scene, with the grand market share being in ice cream and to a much smaller extent frozen yogurt. This is why we chose these two variations. However, now that our operations are expanding on a global level, we have been considering the addition of gelato, and communications from you and from other fans have confirmed that this is a direction in which our company should go.

We are currently in the research phase on how to implement gelato into our portfolio, and we ask for your patience as we undergo this process. Adding gelato based equipment into our factories is one of the largest concerns, as the process requires this specialized equipment due to the differing ratios between ice cream and gelato. Soon enough we hope to announce that our facilities will be offering this delightful product in all of our wonderful flavors.

South Seas Scoops is pleased to announce that following careful deliberation, we have decided to expand our frozen portfolio to include gelato! While this delight has fame internationally, it was relatively unknown in Costa Aluria when our business started three years ago, which is why we chose at that time to exclude it. However, with our increased global visibility and sales, now is the right time to add this variation to our manufacturing process.

We would like to extend our gratitude to our fans who have helped us with these upgrades. Of particular note are the creative geniuses at Rawlincia who chimed in their approval in recent communications.

The addition of gelato processes means a significant investment for our factories as we must make additional space for new equipment. As the casual fan may know, gelato and ice cream differ in air to liquid ratios; the reduced air content of gelato, while providing a richer and smoother texture in the end product, also is quite a bit harsher on machinery and requires specialized equipment. However, we are certain that now is the appropriate time to make such an adjustment, and we know that our international community will make the investment well worth the cost.

We note your recommendation of Fabio Antonio for regional director. His qualifications are superb as a former CEO within the food and beverage industry, and while we are interested in his appointment for the duties, this is a position already held by Francisco Torres, who hails from the fine Lausanne School of Cuisine. Dear sirs/ladies,
as a part of my job it's came to my attention that the kingdom of Crystal Mountains is lacking on companies for food production that fit foreign standards resulting in allready measurably drains in the productivity and a brain drain proclaiming that the food especially in the summer months was insufficient (Ice Cream was place 4 on the insufficient list which shocked me to hearth I admit.)
To fight this problem we tried to establish a national competition under the survey of the ministry for healthcare and our ministry. Sadly in the branch of 'icely products' no company was sufficient so we decided to write an application to your company. We are a small nation of around 10 000 000 people but we can assure you that the product will be profitable here.

Dear sirs,

South Seas Scoops would like to apologize for our delay in response to your very large order. Our leadership team has spent the previous two days locked in discussions on how to meet the logistics of fulfilling your order. You see, in our company's short history we have certainly never seen an order of this size, and for an up and coming creamery it will take some bit of planning to fulfill your obligations. After countless hours of discussion, we believe we have reached a solution. However, we are not certain it is one that will meet your criticism.

As an up and coming creamery, our operations are limited to just a handful of factories, and in order to bring the freshest products we typically do not warehouse large quantities of our products. As such, it will take a vast amount of time to manufacture your request. To give an idea of the amount of time needed for an order of this size, each of our factories generally has the capablility to produce up to 120,000 pints of ice cream on a daily basis.¹ If only one factory was put into use producing the amount of ice cream you have requested, it would take a total of 8334 continuous days to produce your request, while also ignoring all other customers.

After much debate, the only solution we can come up with is to open additional factories which are dedicated to filling your order. At this point in our company's history, we believe if we stretch our resources and accrue a large amount of initial debt, we can open an additional 25 factories in international locations, each of which will be dedicated to your order. To expedite this process, we would look to set up operations in established buildings of large size rather than new construction. However, we assume there would still be a three month turn around time from the beginning stages of building purchase to when they were ready for ice cream production.

If these factories were used at full capacity, it would take 334 days of operation to meet your demand once manufacturing began. To this we would add in 100 days for factory construction, and 12 days for routine maintenance at one day per month. From here, with such a large order it may take several shipments for delivery, so we estimate an additional 14 days for delivery. The total amount of time needed to process your order of 1 billion total pints of ice cream would equal 460 days, or roughly one year and three months.

We understand this is a lengthy ordeal for your nation to undergo, and it would require a large investment by our company to meet your demand. Given the time and money requirements needed to fulfill this order, we await your full approval before we will begin this endeavor. We ask you to please confirm your approval of this time period with an additional communique at your earliest convenience.

We understand this time frame is cumbersome, but it is the only feasible solution which our leadership can justify. As such, we understand completely if your nation would like to remove its order. However, we would love to be part of your nation's celebration, and will do whatever is realistically feasible to meet your demands.

We await your response with great anticipation.
