The Imperial Metropolitan Airports Commission is the primary authority responsible for the Empire's most important international airports. Founded in 2009, the Commission was established to reorganize operations at Tanabata, Hirasaka, and Konan international airports. Since its founding, operations and satisfaction at the aforementioned airports have greatly increased and has led to a wave of reformation among regional and domestic airports. The resulting improvement of the airport experience nationwide has led to an influx of tourism and foreign investment into the nation, paving the way for a stronger economic and industrial future.

The IMAC is part of the Imperial Aviation Authority, along with the Imperial Aviation Safety Commission and the Imperial Regional Airports Commission.

Three airports fall under the IMAC's jurisdiction. By law, high security at all three airports are consistent. Several check-in options are also available in all three airports, namely counter, curbside, self, and hotel check-in.

Destination Overview

Sumaru is the imperial capital city in which the Empress and 11 million people reside. It is the Empire's largest economic center and is the headquarters of the Imperial Government. Skyscrapers tower beside traditional buildings, providing a distinctive, contrasting skyline. Modern and traditional practices mesh harmoniously together to create a unique culture in which one can have many memorable experiences.

Three of the empires top ten performing universities are located in Sumaru, as well as several museums housing historical relics. The city also hosts the annual Sumaru Interational Film Festival and the Capital Cultural Convention among hundreds of other conventions, festivals, and gatherings.

Airport Overview
Tanabata International Airport is the Empire's primary international airport located in the Imperial Capital of Sumaru. It is the largest airport in the Empire consisting of 3 passenger terminals, a major hub for several major international airlines, and the base of operations for Shinatobe Airlines - the imperial flag-carrier.

The airport has 4 runways capable of accommodating large, wide-bodied aircraft, full emergency services, maintenance hangars, and modern passenger and aircraft facilities. All three passenger terminals are connected to each other via an efficient inter-terminal transportation system. It is also connected to Sumaru via a dedicated express train line and the STB Expressway.

Destination Overview
Image
Hirasaka has the distinction of being the "City of Shrines." Over 5,000 shrines can be found scattered all throughout the vast metropolis alongside other sites of significance. Surrounded by the Red Forest - which is famous for it's color during Autumn - and the Daikiko Mountains, Hirasaka is also a haven for nature-lovers with various nature activities easily accessible to the public.

Traditional, homemade cuisine is a major part of culture in Hirasaka with a majority of dining establishments being owned by families. This adds to the simple, quiet atmosphere of most of the city. A booming economic center along the coast provides a louder atmosphere with several clubs, shopping centers, and modern leisure facilities.

Airport Overview
Though modern in appearance from the outside, Hirasaka International Airport heavily incorporates traditional architecture for its interiors. A large traditional garden forms the heart of the public area, providing a natural oasis while passengers wait for their flights. In partnership with local communities, several family-owned traditional restaurants and shops also operate within the airport.

Two runways run parallel to each other, flanked by refueling and emergency facilities. The single terminal has two concourses and 46 gates.

Destination Overview
Image
Famous for its harbor and the craggy coastline surrounding it, Konan is home to some of the most varied species of marine life in the Empire. Its devotion to the ocean can be seen in its many temples and shrines dedicated to the sea, the SeaScapes Marine Wildlife Center, and the Konan Marine Wildlife Park.

Along the coast, hundreds of caves dot the limestone cliffs. One of these caves serves as the entrance to the Silver River - a long, winding river running the entire width of the island of Samegawa. It is believed that this river is a passage to the afterlife, with the deceased being sent on boats down its dark route during ancient times. Several ancient shrines and tombs can also be found deep within many of the caves.

Airport Overview
Inspired by its surroundings, Konan International Airport brings the ocean within its walls. Literally. The blue-tinted, glass terminal towers above the surroundings, but a special basement level allows passengers to get up close and personal with marine life through 3-inch thick glass windows installed along two walls.

The airport has 3 runways, refueling facilities, and emergency services available. The single terminal has 3 concourses and 54 gates.

Dear M. Hanakouji,

Millennium Airways is the flag carrier for The Republic of Woodstead, including the Protectorate of Cezary, and the Territory of Libetta. We are a single-class, inclusive airline which champions good quality for all. We are also an Aegirum Hospitality Group member- a status we treasure, due to their devotion to innovating new ways of making the mainstream brands better in how they represent tourism, hospitality and leisure from day-to-day.

We have seen so much saturation from the Skyway flights to Tanabata from Oppidum International, so our people usually leave through one of our hubs to gain entry to one in Shin Yamaichi. So much has the demand been vocalised in the latest report from our home hub at Oppidum, that we have decided that maybe more flights from this airport to more of your hubs is in good taste, and we would also advise you to consider flights between the three hubs and the additions of Westerport (Angleville, Libetta)- a great way to access Libetta without the stress of rabbles, and Woldland Ottenside (Portlux, Woodstead)- one of our airports in the vicinity of the capital---just miles across the channel between Portlux Island and Woldland.

What we request is 12 weekly flights for the following-
  • From Oppdium...
    • to SHR
    • to SKN
  • From Westerport...
    • to STB
    • to SHR
    • to SKN
  • From Woldland- Ottenside...
    • to STB
    • to SHR
    • to SKN

M. Hanakouji,

I am notifying you, firstly, that LibettAir is delighted to be in a position to speak with IMAC today, as we admire the passion and drive of the people at all three airports; we feel that Shin Yamaichi's airports are very much up to the standard for LibettAir's destinations. Libetta is recently moving on up with its tourism and freight as a small coastal territory. Libettans tend to feel that the people of Shin Yamaichi are vibrant, proud people. LibettAir executives have the deepest respect for your Commission, its airports, and the passengers we would like to serve.

A second point of this message is to inform you that LibettAir, a Millennium Airways Group subsidiary, will now be operating the flights between Westerport International Airport (LAN) and all three airports with which they do service. We stress that this change shall be done in the least disruptive way possible.

Furthermore, flights between Libetta and Shin Yamaichi (we feel) are in rather high demand; we therefore submit the enclosed form to hopefully establish new routes courtesy of LibettAir. We hope that they are filled to the appropriate specification as we have read it.
