The Sea Lion class destroyer was designed ,under an order from the Rhinoceran Navy, for a new anti aircraft focused destroyer capable of creating a virtual safe zone against enemy aerial assaults and missile strikes. While smaller than the Retaliation class, it provides far more effective anti aircraft capabilities with it's purpose selected armament and powerful radar array. It is armed with 84 VLS cells, which are mostly loaded with long range surface to air missiles to fulfill the AA role. However, the VLS cells can also be loaded with cruise missiles or any other VLS capable missile, giving the warship a good degree of versatility. It is recommended that a mixture of AA missiles and cruise missiles be loaded into the cells. A secondary armament, veering away from Rhinoceran preference of heavy artillery, rests in the 3 88 mm L/82 dual purpose automatic cannons, which operate at a rate of fire of 105 rounds per minute. These weapons provide a good heavy anti aircraft cannon to engage close in targets and also can target surface targets to defend against close in ground/sea threats. With 2 of these cannons located at the vessels front, and one in the rear, the weapons have excellent coverage in defense of the vessel. The tertiary armament consists of both Shield and Longsword systems, proven AA weapons that have been licensed from the respected company, Halcyon Arms. These systems provide an excellent AA defense. The Sea Lion also relies on it's powerful S-band radar to track it's targets and protect it's flock. The command suite uses the same proven, efficient layout of the Retaliation, with a similar sized bridge. The ship also possesses minimal steel armor to protect against small arms fire and possible shrapnel, although it is not suited to resist direct hits from anti ship weaponry. The ship uses the same nuclear reactor as the Retaliation, giving the vessel a fuel source that will last 22 years and propels the ship at a fast 34 knots. The Sea Lion is an effective warship, the shield for a fleet, a shepherd that is protecting it's flock.

The Defense Ministry of Paisaje Rico, under a newly passed military budget, has decided in favor of upgrading the current tank fleet with 265x T-100A MBT vehicles, equipped with the Frestarter FCS. However,the ministry would like to propose several domestic alterations to the design:

1) The counsel has deemed the replacement of the 125mm gun with a domestic, 135mm/51 caliber gun necessary for the modern battlefield.
2) To sufficiently lighten the vehicle and free space for the gun upgrade, one of the included 30mm cannons will be omitted from the turret.

The Harpy Eagle gunship was the result of a joint cooperation program between Red Star Heavy Industries and Halcyon Arms. Halcyon Arms provided the basic frame layout for such an aircraft, using an existing design, and the basic electronics and radar packages, which were also used in their existing design. Red Star Heavy Industries, under license from Halcyon, implemented extraordinary modifications to create an entirely new aircraft. This was done by dramatically increased the size of the frame refitted it accordingly to take advantage of the drastic boost in available space. These changes included new engines, new weapons, new landing gear, and many more. The Harpy Eagle gunship was built for the Rhinoceran Imperial Army, to allow for a larger platform to bring heavy direct fire support to areas where the already potent armament of a standard sized gunship isn't sufficient for the task.

The first, and most important difference between the Harpy Eagle and standard sized gunship is in the armament, which has been increased in order to make use of the larger frame. The heaviest weapon mounted on the Harpy Eagle Gunship is its L/44 152 mm howitzer, which provides a high powered weapon than is equally useful against fortifications, vehicles, and enemy concentrations. It is capable of firing a full range of 152 mm ammunition, but HE is the most commonly used due to the aircrafts purpose. The secondary armament consists of the 2 L/56 88 mm autocannons, which are based off of a naval autocannon, but have had their barrel length shortened and their rate of fire lowered to 20 rounds per minute instead of the 105 that the naval version can reach. This was done to reduce the already considerable stress that the weapon systems place on the frame, while still allowing for a high volume of fire. It is recommended that the 88s be fired as to alternate shots, allowing for a near constant stream of fire. The autocannons fire a full range of 88 mm ammunition, but once again HE is recommended due to the platforms nature. The third and final left internally mounted weapon system is the 30 mm tri-barreled Gatling cannon, with a rate of fire of 1,200 rounds per minute. The 3 barrels constantly rotate while being fired, as to distribute the stress of firing across multiple barrels in style that stays true to traditional Gatling guns. The 30 mm cannon fires a full range of 30 mm ammunition, but recommended types are HE, Incendiary, and AP. The Harpy Eagle also has 4 hardpoints on its right wing, which can be used to carry a wide variety of munitions, with each hardpoint rated for up to 2,000 pounds.

The gunship also mounts more powerful engines than its predecessor in order to compensate for the vast increase in weight, although this comes at the cost of efficiency, which in turn slightly reduces it's range when compared to it's Halcyon arms counterpart. These engines are capable of propelling the Harpy Eagle at speeds of up to 302 mph, and allow for a sustainable cruising speed of 284 mph. The range of the aircraft is 2,800 miles at cruising speeds.

The Harpy Eagle is a powerful gunship, that when properly utilized, lives up to it's namesake of one of the most deadly birds in the skies.
