Our IRC Channel

It does not take an enlightenment to understand the veracity, ferocity and intensity of violence within the universe. It does not take a journey to feel pain, grief, sorrow, and isolation. It does not take a mentor to learn suffering, betrayal, and hatred. It does not require a genius to understand disgust, discrimination, and terror. One only has to live to see the ugliness of the universe as it is.

We seek to rectify that problem.

Mission Statement The Resolute Syndicate is an organic organisation that seeks to perpetuate structure and control the suffering and chaos within the borders of its members in hopes of maintaining stability as well as preventing non-members from inflicting instability onto its members. It seeks to accomplish this goal through the self-preservation of each member.

Means of Accomplishment The Resolute Syndicate (Syndicate going forwards) will address the issue of stability insofar as it pertains to the sovereignty of each member along as it affords equal sovereignty to every other member. In other words, every member of the RS may act as they desire insofar as it does not impede on the abilities of others.

In the wake of outside aggression from another nation or alliance, the Syndicate will not hesitate to use force, nor force its members to use force. All attempts at aggression will be dealt with smoothly, efficiently, and without question. Failure is not an acceptable alternative. Retreat may be a reality. A loss is merely a temporary setback. It merely prolongs the path to victory, but does not stop a campaign. Discipline and stability will be enforced, onto another entity if it should challenge the Syndicate.

The Syndicate is currently in a trade and defense pact with the Galactic Empire. Details are in accordance to the Syndicate Accords.

Areas of Focus The Syndicate will focus on two main areas of management and intelligence in regards to the stability of its members: economics and security. Both positions will be taken with the utmost seriousness in regards to maintaining and enforcing the supremacy of each member over their given domain. This is committed through a combination of aid, stimuli, concerted military action and forward-thinking policies.

Doctrines

The First Doctrine states unquestionably that each member is only a member because of their self-interest. The management, prevention and understanding of chaotic forces within the universe are a fact prescient from the anarchic nature. A lack of archos, or global governance, is the driving force behind the instability, and therefore, it is within each member's best interest that it is their own self-preservation of power, goods and position that they are members of the Syndicate. Consideration otherwise or belief of a different goal is merely a front.

Imperialist actions seen by the Syndicate are permissible insofar as it pertains to this belief of self-preservation and self-interest of internal stability. An action otherwise may be questioned at will by any member of the Syndicate and placed into query.

The Second Doctrine states that a member is only a member because of its expectations placed upon other members to enact policies predictably and loyally as it should on its own. Therefore, it is within its self-interest as well as the interest of the Syndicate to enforce a level of activity within the Syndicate that each member is expected to uphold. Should a call for military aggression begin with all immediacy, all members must respond accordingly to the situation. Should a crisis occur with all immediacy, all members must respond accordingly to the situation. Expectation that one would do for it as it should do for others is what keeps stability running.

Lack of activity in times of calling and need show a definitive lack of value as a member, and its membership may be questioned.

The Third Doctrine notes that the Syndicate is an empire of its own make and will separate from the entities that follow in its banner. Each entity is a sovereign in their own right, with a Dominion of regularly unquestionable power. If a member should any point lose its Dominion, it is the obligation of each other member to come to their aid, whether due to foreign aggression, internal aggression, cosmic aggression, or unforeseen and unattributed acts from the chaotic universe. The Syndicate agglomerates the strength of all members, and reserves the final right to have a final say if it feels that it is being challenged or questioned in its ability or its stability.

Such a decision will be approached sternly and with much consideration. It will not be taken lightly.

The Fourth Doctrine recognizes the differences and disparities between members and their hunger for warfare. It distinguishes the difference between warmongering and implementing stability. All conflicts that each members persist and focus on are not the collective responsibility of the Syndicate to watch, in lieu of their own natural sovereignty, but rather it is up to those offended to note the Syndicate of their actions. The Syndicate is not a military force in its own right - its strength is proportionate to the activity of its members.

The Fifth Doctrine understands the necessity of a slight resource count and tax, if applicable, will be kept and all members will be tallied of their controlled entities for an empire-wide map. Travel and trade, insofar as it does not question or undermine the stability of each individual member, will be addressed appropriately and regarded by default as open and free. The resources attained will be proportionate to the number moved.

To prevent corruption, the movement of goods will be transparent to the Syndicate's personnel.

The Sixth Doctrine reveals the idiocy upon which the Syndicate sees in the concept of an alliance-only fighting force. It is up to the individual member entity to provide their own fighting force. Each commander commands his own force, and the overarching objectives will be determined by the commander or military leader of the member in charge.

Understanding that soldiers do not act well under foreign commanders and captains, it is each member's responsibility to muster an appropriate force. If a member is such an incompetent entity to be a hindrance to the Syndicate, then the Syndicate reserves the right to lawfully monitor and provide suggestions to each member's performance and ability. This, however, applies only to incompetence, and members who carry a discernible level of capability in enacting peacefulness, stability, and combat enemy chaotic aggression (a definition that we reserve the right to determine) should not worry.

If said member worries, then it is likely they are incompetent. Uneasiness is not welcomed.

The Seventh Doctrine notes that peace is a subjective term. Peace can be the subjugation of alien lifeforms in the wake of their invasion to prevent their rearmament. Peace can be the assistance of war-torn planets to rebuild a thriving economy. Peace can the bombardment of entire planets to ensure that such crude matter does not arise again. All forms of peace are acceptable to the Syndicate. Where the Syndicate goes, there must be peace in their boundaries. Where they roam, there must be peace. Chaos is our anti-thesis. Chaos is our foe.

Our antagonist is not an ideal or nation itself. It is the erratic and unpredictable nature upon which lives are needlessly taken away by the unforeseen forces of chaotic and entropic movements across the universe. While the Syndicate understands that it may never be eradicated, it seeks uphold to what degree it can to minimize it.

The Eighth Doctrine understands that morality is subjective and ebbs between cross-culture. It is not the Syndicate's position to impede on another culture of an entity insofar as it does not impede on the stability of its fellow members. This can include goals, religion, language, and other determinants.

The Ninth Doctrine reminds that membership is dependent on ability and dominion. A member must be an entity that is its own dominion and self-governing body. The Syndicate is not here to pander to empires or vassals through accepting them. It reserves the right to eject a vassal state should its position as a vassal prove to be more of a cost than a benefit to the Syndicate and its members.

The Tenth Doctrine believes that each and every decision made can be challenged or proposed by a majority vote. Each member carries one vote in any election, and before referendums are placed, it must be seconded by another member. Each member of the Syndicate, for more or less, is equal, without question, and respect between members both in respect to their entities and in respect to their attitudes are encouraged. Should a member ever go to war against another member, the Syndicate reserves the right to enact its own concept of peace upon either nation.

Members have been warned.

In such a belief, and in consideration of the idea that members are equal entities regardless of their culture, language and length of time within the Syndicate, membership will be either given out to others based upon invitation, acceptance or formal voting. Such a method will be determined by a combination of efficiency, chance and the applicant's ability.

The Eleventh Doctrine is aware of the obligation of protection from member to member. However, it is also aware of the chance for singular member action and responsibility. The Syndicate, thereby, will not impede on a member's performance insofar as it asked for such a performance.

The Twelfth Doctrine stresses that vassals that are considered as property of an entity member will receive appropriate stabilization and protection by the Syndicate, insofar as it does not prove to be a burden. Should it prove to be a burden, it will be dealt with through an appropriate punishment determined by the majority through discussion and voting. If no consensus is reached, then its benefits will be suspended until an appropriate punishment is determined.

The Thirteenth Doctrine believes in that each member, at any time, may question, add or suggest Doctrines insofar as they have the acceptance of the majority.

The Fourteenth Doctrine considers the trillion-disparity and difference of scenarios that may occur. As such, the Syndicate reserves to right to accordingly based on the unique circumstances should the Doctrines preceding fail to address the issue in a manner that addresses the mission statement.

Roster

Distinctions

Team Leaders are notified beforehand and are elected to lead and manage the team in case of crisis. In times of situational issues, they provide leadership when problems call for leadership. Team Leaders are elected and remain as leaders until the team decides to elect a new leader.

Conflict Managers are selected randomly on a rotating basis that carry a capacity to call the Syndicate into a state of war with the consent of both Managers with proper documentation on the situation of any conflict that occurs upon any Syndicate member(s). This is only applicable to attacks, and do not qualify for pre-emptive attacks.

Veto Holders are selected randomly on a rotating basis that carry a capacity to veto in majority of Veto Holders on issues that span to modifications, implementation and elimination up to and including membership application. Prospective and Initiative applications are exempt from Veto influence, and Veto Holders do not carry Veto right to the validity of any member's application and membership status. A Veto Holder holds two vetoes within a month, and may not be selected in the subsequent month.

To Apply,

Firstly, understand that you may or may not be dealing with members of questionable motives, origins or characteristics. One is a member because applying an archos in the chaotic universe is paramount.

Secondly, understand that you are not here to hide behind the Syndicate as a shield. If the Syndicate believes that is the case, you will be dealt with accordingly.

Thirdly, we are not an avatar for your warmongering. We are here to install peace. If it should so happen to coincide with aggression you may have, then let it be. If not, then we will not change on an individual's whim.

If you understand, then send a communications to the August Insidion, and the Syndicate will reply accordingly.

The Celestial Republic

Chaos...filth-mother of progress. Nemesis of evolution, it is a cancer that looks to destroy from the inside. Unless harnessed and bred through appropriate action, it runs rampant like a child-God, in control of power unimaginable to even its own simple mind. It is a weapon utilized by the subconscious mind to destroy and extinguish without a second thought, yet opposed without even knowledge of its workings. A despicable end, indeed. While order is not the supreme being to watch over and nurture every race from birth to extinction, it is also an adjunct in destroying the chaos which breeds so heavily in this universe.

We are harbingers of evolution. Pure, with a single focus that encompasses every reach of the mind. Progression of intelligent life to stave of the chaos of billions of years that will come to a climactic finish, through a roar or a whimper. This common enemy, this cancer of the stars...it is the duty of sentient species or greater to fight its ever-coming encroachment. More than a duty - it is ingrained instinct, the by-product of glorious evolution itself to forever battle the mindless foe that comes ever forward.

If this stellar alignment - this Syndicate - can form a progress to evolution, then so be it. The Republic will fight chaos forever and ever more, the destructive power that looks to end the rise of sapiency across the universe. Evolution is our goal and shield, and we shall use it to its greatest end - and should this Syndicate exist in the mind of staving off the dark shadow of chaos everywhere, then let it be as one with Republic aims.

Indeed. Without question, there is stagnancy. Though the basics of structure and predictability must be placed for one to understand the workings. Chaotic knowledge is still chaotic, and one can only do so much in lieu of that.

It is then in our common interests in believing the concept of appropriating a safety-zone between brethren while still seeking progression that the Syndicate welcomes the Celestial Republic into this brotherhood.

A Dispatch from His Imperial Majesty, Tsar Nicholas IX, Emperor and Autocrat of All Russias
To the Representatives of the Resolute Syndicate

Greetings,

We, as Emperor of Russia, note your efforts with approval and wish to express our praise for this noble enterprise. We have, through our history, often battled with the forces of chaos and revolution, Communism and the forces of those foul 'gods' who name themselves Chaos. For many years, Russia was the bastion of stability in Europe and upon our world, a role that we seek to maintain in the ages of faster than light travel and interstellar diplomacy.

It is unfortunate that, as the founder of the League of Armed Neutrality we are unable to join your efforts in a direct manner, as this would lead to some conflict of interest, as well as compromising the mission statement of the League. However, should it please you, we shall dispatch an observer, so that, should our interests coincide, our two groups may act cooperatively, as well as to establish a positive relation from the start of this new group.

Likewise, should they so choose, the Syndicate, or members thereof, may dispatch observers to the League headquarters on Mars, where accommodations shall be made for them.

Tsar Nicholas IX of Russia
(Signed)
I AM DISAPPOINTED

The Syndicate prefers rather a more informal relation with other entities. While the offer of observance is well-received, that method is simply something that the Syndicate does not necessarily subscribe towards.

Regrettably, I must thereby decline. That said, do not hesitate to ask or send queries when needed.

The Holy Empire of Telros

It is a rare to be able to find something in this constant war-torn and blood soaked galaxy that can give a people something to hope for, something to cherish. With the birth of the Resolute Syndicate, we see another group that has finally seen the way of things in the galaxy, the one commodity that this galaxy never seems to run out of: Chaos. We realized how much hope is strangled and killed on a daily basis in a galaxy where there is only war and genocide to accompany those who are unfortunate enough to be born into one of the many nations inhabiting this galaxy. One has to abandon ideals of peace, idealism, and good versus evil in such a universe, and adopt a more pragmatic and survivalist approach. The Empire is in agreement with the Syndicate's ideals, and is willing to join with this august body to bring order to a galaxy full of chaos, while allowing for growth and expansion to prevent stagnation.

If you would have us, the Holy Empire would be honored to to join its brothers in this alliance.

It it good that the Telrosians, if I would be so pompous as to use that term, have decided to erect the banner of stability and appropriate order in a time of needless and seemingly unending chaos. I assure you, no entropic force will be spared if they so touch our brethren.

As such, we accept.

The Socialist Technocratic Union of Blackgrue approves heartily of this organization, however at this time we do not wish to entangle ourselves in a full alliance at this time.

We would however like to become observers, reserving the right to apply for full membership later.

The 'Union is dedicated to applying technocratic principles to government to harness the chaos inherient in our home species. Eradicating chaos completely would, in effect, destroy our most precious resource (The Spark of Invention, see factbook for more details) thus our decision to Observe rather then join for now.

Regrettably, I must make mention that the concept of observance is unneeded. You may peruse the thread at your leisure, but you will only be accepted when you believe you are capable of taking up the responsibilities with being a Syndicate member.

This is the reason why we do not have an observer system.

While our beliefs differ slightly the Dominion has decided at the very least recognize that your efforts and ideologies do bear merit. As such the Dominion would like to formally extend our hands in friendship and hope that the relations between our nation and those of the Syndicate remain beneficial for us both. If it was not for our relation with our current alliance, the JSA, we would very likely wish to join your syndicate. Furthermore if events ever occur that would make our leadership question the direction our alliance with the JSA might take us we would gladly try to join the syndicate upon leaving the JSA. Now since as of now there exists no hostility between ourselves and any of your members the Dominion asks if establishing free trade between yourselves and our Flotilla would be possible to arrange. Furthermore since with the politics involving the Galaxy is a chaotic thing the Dominion would also like to offer and Syndicate nations Hypergates connected to the Dominion Hypergate network which as of this moments is one of the few competing gate networks threat Hermes will recognize.

To those who have expressed interest in undertaking the burden of imposing peace to the chaotic energies of the universe, they have been graciously accepted into the Syndicate's fold. The Dbrought Dominions, on the other, must note that the Syndicate does not form alliances lightly, and will not carry sentiments of hate against the Dominions, but also will not ally with them, for reasons that are our own.

In response to the Grittonians, it is the responsibility of each individual Syndicate member to keep an eye on their trade. It is best to appeal to members that are of interest individually rather than a whole.

OOC A piece of clarification, DBrought. I'm not saying 'no ally hurhur grrr', but I'm more rather saying that the Syndicate wants to currently keep their position clean of any outside influence or obligation for now until we get things together. An alliance would show us picking sides, and while certain members may choose sides or may not in conflicts, the Syndicate as a whole is meant to be neutral in most cases. Thereby, alliances are currently not our biggest concern. I hope this clears it up. It's by no means a jab at you, but rather it's just a policy that's being taken for now.

It is a grand day when an alliance has the spine to resist the foul depredations of the ever-increasing hordes that seek to sow discord and destruction through this otherwise grand universe. Communication from the Immortal Pathogen
The Entity of which all Rethast are a part
The Cure to Existence

War and genocide are a part of existence, a pain which all races must bear. It is with a heavy sorrow that We speak these words, for despite our desires and our spoken promises, the ignorant and the forces of instability continue their xenophobic advances across the galaxy. We of the Immortal Pathogen have seen the galaxy and our own home torn apart in an attempt to bring order, unity and stability to the denizens of the Milky Way Galaxy. Thus far, we have made little progress.

But there is a light we can see amongst the brilliant shining of a million rotten stars, and that light is the Resolute Syndicate. With these words let it be known that the Immortal Pathogen supports the desires of the Syndicate and hopes that it may join its ranks to bring stability to the galaxy. Strength through Unity, Unity through Stability.

As it is decided, let it be done.

As the GBA understood it, the Resolute Syndicate wouldn't 'mind' having a base in one of the GBA systems.
We can understand that. We are in a area where allies and systems are far to seek, yet we stand out as a beacon of stability, tranquility and technology.

Should the Resolute Syndicate still wish for a base in one of the GBA systems, we suggest that the R.S. send a representative to discuss it with the GBA leaders. The conference would be more than capable of bringing that opportunity.

I will deliberate with the others, and hopefully we can come to an amicable response to your suggestion.

OOC: i understand. especially with the whole supposed plot that is driving everyone nuts. so yeah. whatever happens though it will be fun to rp.
