A young man in a BMW 3 series (details are important) who seemed bent that he couldn't get a date or kiss a girl or whatever (more on that in a mo') shot up a deli in Santa Barbara and then got in a shoot out with police where either they shot him or he shot himself.
Seven dead, more injured...you know, the usual.
A gunman in a black BMW opened fire on crowds of people Friday night in a Southern California seaside town near UC Santa Barbara, killing six people and injuring seven others in what investigators described as a "mass murder" rampage.
The gunman was later involved in at least one shootout with sheriff's deputies and died of a gunshot wound to the head, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said at a Saturday morning news conference. He could not confirm whether the gunshot was self-inflicted.
Seven victims were hospitalized and at least one of them had undergone surgery for life-threatening injuries, Brown said. Details regarding the other victims' conditions were not immediately available.
Witnesses who spoke with NBC4 identified the gunman as Elliot Rodger. Sheriff's department personnel are investigating a video in which a man identified as Rodger details plans for "retribution" and "revenge against humanity" prior to the shooting.
Like any good psychopath, he made a manifesto (which, if you don't like hearing threats against women, or whiny self important 20 year olds complain about life from the seat of their BMW, or just in general don't want to give this douchebag his posthumous notoriety that he clearly craved, don't click on that link. I only made it about a minute in before I didn't feel like it anymore.)

The mass killing comes about 13 years after a former UC Santa Barbara student drove his car through a crowd of people in Isla Vista, killing four. David Attias was convicted on four counts of second-degree murder and sentenced to a state mental hospital.
Now we have a reasonable point of comparison for the "If they didn't have a gun they'd just use a car" argument against any form of gun control. Gun, more lethal by almost double, it appears.
How about the issue of the Dreaded Mythical Friendzone and how, apparently, women owe dudes that pussy. Because as it turns out, if you don't give it up to creepy dudes in black BMWs, this is a 'revenge worthy' offense. I mean, we could take a rational approach to the way that we portray these things in society and the unreasonable expectations of a pussy for every penis, that women are a reward for being a man...but I'm pretty sure if we try hard enough we can find a way that this really is women's fault...don't disappoint me NSG...(or, just the inane ramblings of a solitary nutter. But where's the sport in that?)
Or, rather, will we find that this is proof positive that douchebags drive BMWs?
