People are free to create any businesses they desire but the government is always the partial owner unless it is a media company. This allows the government to veto any decisions that could prove to be damaging to the citizens of Argyrland or its environment. The idea is to create an environment where competition is encouraged but the government may still keep a close eye on corporations and ensure that the prosperity of the nation is at heart.

All needs are provided for in Argyrland, the government provides small apartments that the people may live in for free. Fruits, vegtables, certain spices, certain meats, milk, bread, eggs and other basic food are payed for by the government and may be picked up at a grocery store free of charge. In both cases, the citizens must pay for upgrades from what is provided using their own income.
