The Cold War was a time of darkness.The Soviets created a curtain,an "Iron Curtain" around its sphere of influence.China was engulfed in a huge Civil War,and the USA was plagued by scandals and protests.In 1962,our year of focus,China invaded India and a very bad situation developed in Cuba as the two great powers threatened to nuke each other.The climax of the Century is now,1962.And this is The Cold War.

Hanoi

Ho Chi Minh work with Vo Nguyen Giap, Tôn Đức Thắng, Trường Chinh and other key officials to lay out the path for the nation. Currently, N. Vietnam is a poor, undeveloped nation with subsistence farming, factories and infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, paved roads, rails, ports ... are left over by Japanese and French in few numbers. The military only have about 300000 regular troops and 40,000 elite soldiers armed with various weapons from grease gun, thompson, Enfield to SKS. To push the country to grow faster here are laws that they are working on:

- Everyone required to work 12 hours a day

+ All children aging from 5 to 15, will have to go to school 8 hours a day and 2 hours of pre-military training (ROTC)
- Learning only in 5 subjects: writing, math, science, humanity and socialism

+ Men and women from 16 to 20
- are encourage to get married and have children (3 kids is preferred)
- Women to work on farming and food production
- Men to work at construction projects or available production factories

+ Men aging from 21 to 46 are to join the military
+ Women aging from 30 to 40 are to serve in their local logistic and air defense groups.

+ All men and women aging from 47 to 55 will be task with food production and building.
- Women are to task with farming for 6 hours a day.
- Men are to farm for 6 hours a day then task to building/construction for another 6 hours.

+ All men and women aging 56 and older are task with child-care.

Production

* Farming
- Implement corn to replace rice
- Implement seed planter drawn by horses.
- Implement corps rotation and row farming
- Implement corn feed to meat production chicken
- Implement cage grow for egg production chickens, and mass grow for meat production chicken

* Basic industry production
- Implement wood production with tree plantation.
- Implement bricks & tiles production centers to replace current scattered facilities
- Implement metal production center to replace current scattered smelters

Construction

- Implement wood frame construction for all civilian construction
- Implement grid street reform
- Implement share transportation program
- Implement embankment for all rivers in all urban areas
- Implement irrigation canals reform
- Implement Education & Healthcare Infrastructure Improvement program.
- Implement Rail expansion program.

Tensions rise in the two Vietnams when the new reforms were enacted, America fears that the South will not be able to stand up against the North if war breaks out. Kennedy realizes that he, as the leader of the free world, needs to rally support to defend Southern Vietnam if the need arises.

Alot has happened to canada in the past few years mostly all the relative peacefulness that the country has experienced in the past few years along with new universal healthcare and welfare programs and much more.

But as of now that all changed because of vietnam a tiny country in asia that the united states wants to fight over and all so sudden they wish to move in and take out the communist threat but what many fear is that the good old soviet may get involved and start warming the cold war up to the boiling rate.

As of now canada wont give a message on there stance but a recent 3% increase in defence may see canada be dragged into a new war with communism and a war that none could expect to see them come out the victors.

Meanwhile the canadian armed forces are looking into creating there own military goods with the help of a few private company's and corperations as military equipment is becoming to expensive in the usa for them to buy.

We do not wish to attack your nation, and I apologize if my proclamation sounded like a quest for war. In your public report it said that your men aging from 21-46 are to join the military. This is a substantial military build-up, and why would one build up their military in a time of peace, but to go to war? The South Vietnamese army has not undergone a military build-up, and as one of the few free countries in the region I fear for the their safety. Troops will be stationed in South Vietnam for their protection and not for an attack against North Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh sees the rapid build-up of tensions so he decide to call in all the official and work on a solution. After 2 hours of debate, they come to agreement and publish an official "military CAP". N. Vietnam need a decent military with moderate strength to be independent from foreign pressure. The pressure is very strong on a nation that sandwiched between big strong communist China and Capitalist powers in the region such as Thailand, S. Vietnam and Capitalist Imperial powers of Cambodia and Laos.

Tito sat in his office in Belgrade, he had liberated Yugoslavia from the Nazi's and has carefully sculpted a line between the USA and the USSR. But now his carefully crafted state was threaten by events 100's of miles away. If the north invaded the south (which he wanted) their was a danger of the Narcissist Americans interfering and then the USSR might attacked the USA. Also in the east his embarrassing neighbour, Romania was causing problems. He had gotten a letter from a Romanian general asking him to invade and liberate them from their mad dictator. Obviously he did not want Ceaușescu in power in Romania but if he did attack it could go badly for Yugoslavia and fracture his delicate creation. Oh, decisions, decisions.

Economically Yugoslavia was very different from the USSR, where as the USSR industry was sate owned, Yugoslavian industry was managed by the workers, like Israeli kibbutz and the anarchist industrial cooperatives of Spanish Catalonia (though it was ultimately state owned) . In this way Tito believed Yugoslavia was more Marxists than other country. Also Tito had recently ordered a massive expansion in rail roads and motorways and a brand new Belgrade airport.

Tito has ordered 20,000 troops to march to the Romanian bordered for unspecified reasons. He has also ordered 2 new dams to be built in the mountains in Northern Yugoslavia and 1 in Southern Yugoslavia to provide energy and water to the every growing population. He has also ordered an increase in in the Yugoslav Navy ordering 4 new destroyers and 1 aircraft carrier to be be built. This will be the first ever Yugoslav carrier and will be called YNS Marx and it will be able to hold up to 80 aircraft, Tito has also ordered 10 more river boats to be built.

In other news Tito has visited a school in Dubrovnik were he taught a class on the history of Croatia.

To all Communist leaders and Leaders of the non-aligned movment

Dear Comrades,

It has come to my attention that the United States government is planning to send troops to S Vietnam and as we all know they, for some reason, hate democracy even though they claim to be free. Well I have proof from my spies in the USA and it's allied countries that they fixed votes in Vietnam after Independence from France and if they had not Ho Chi Minh would be in control over all Vietnam instead of just the north and a corrupt, puppet US/Capitalist government in the south. This is a complete violation of the rights of man. This is complete evidence that Mr Kennedy and his cronies want to destroy democracy and the will of the people.

So I say we must act against this to liberate the people of the world and to decide how we do I propose a conference of all of us, the communist and non-aligned leaders of the world, the leaders of the real free world!

You would all come to Dubrovnik (Our most splendid city) for a world changing conference. Plus you will get to see all the sites of our beautiful country.
