Black Dragons

The Black Dragons make the official special forces branch of Hayabusa. The Black Dragons force was around as a mercenary group since 2005, but was integrated and turned into a military branch in 2015.

They are known to be able to react and complete their objective in any scenario, but they are known to operate best at night. Survivors or run a ways of Black Dragon assaults describe them as "mere shadows in the night that turned into our demise." This is one thing that the Black Dragons have over any special forces unit around. A psychological impact. Enemies of Hayabusa knows that they will come in the dark of the night, but they never know when or how. This keeps leaders on their toes and constantly moving. Some anti Hayabusan leaders have actually gone mentally insane because they would see shadows and think they were Dragons, but they really were just another guy.

Black Dragon training courses are known to be one of the most brutal, but one of the most effective on Earth. They have to go through numerous physical tests such as hand to hand combat, 6 mile runs, and hundreds of push ups while live bullets whizz over their heads. They also have to go through tough mental tests, such as learning advanced calculus. However, they most of all learn honor and brotherhood. Each and every one of them needs to be able to give their life for the man standing next to them, no matter who he may be. The Black Dragons are a force based upon honor and ultimate loyalty to the crown.

Specialize in: Nighttime warfare, covert assassinations, counter terrorism, reconnaissance, and hostage conflicts.

Prominent Victories: Assassination of Amir Al-Zamal - terrorist leader, assassination of Yuhan Zhu - socialist revolutionary leader, assassination of Johann Veron - drug cartel leader, assassination of President Jack Kane - leader of ZI, release of hostages at the H-Mart attacks, release of hostages at the Christchurch theatre, nighttime conquest of Arcadia (Operation Moonlight Orchestra).

The Black Dragons division is said to have about 5,000 soldiers, but those 5,000 are only the elite of the elite. Only about 10 out of every 200 volunteers make it into the force. Because of this, Black Dragons are regarded as easily one of the best forces in the world.

Crimson Shadow
Known as the black-operations unit of the ZPA Ground Force, Crimson Shadow is highly secretive. Established in 2019, the Crimson Shadow works together with the ZPA Ground Force and the State Intelligence Department.

They are known for their Type 17 stealth armor, which is highly classified. The suit uses an electron beam generator to create a cloud of ionization around the user. Around the armor are panels or advance, classified coatings capable of changing color or luminosity.

Dragon Works, the official alias for the Strategic Technology Development Unit of the Zhouranese People's Army, is responsible for the development of the stealth armor. Crimson Shadow operatives favor sword fighting with the Tactical Stealth Cloak Sword instead of firearms, using their stealth capability coupled with their armor to go undetected and kill their targets rapidly and discreetly. The sword, a single-handed sword, can cloak itself, but only if someone in a Type 17 stealth armor is holding it.

Crimson Shadow operatives have been drugged with a classified chemical. This chemical can give a person very good reflex. The chemical can also make a person very strong and very quick. Crimson Shadow operatives are highly skilled in Sanshou, a military combat sport. They are also skilled in sword fighting and fast pace hand to hand combat.

The size of Crimson Shadow is classified.

It is considered a Class A unit.

In the active component of the Armed Forces, we have three companies that would be considered special forces in the strictest sense of the term, totaling around 1800 men (including specialized support units) and collectively referred to as "Claw Commandos". The most famous of these would be the 21st Counter-Terrorism and Urban Warfare Unit, or the "Stealthy Pandas," who partook in the famous Toyland Tower hostage crisis.
The "Claw Commandos"' activities are considered a state secret, and details of their operations are generally not released to the public.

The TBRE also has elite units, including the Elder Guards regiment, the Marine brigade, or the Airborne brigade.

Phyrreus operates the 1077th Special Forces Unit, (one many have unofficially entitled 'Spectres' due to their penchant for stealth and their use of photo-refractive gear) as part of NavSpecWar Group 3. Training is arduous, extensive and utterly brutal, and as a result the 1077th has had more military brutality investigations than it has recruits.

Training is done over a course of 2 years, and always with candidates recruited from other military units. Beginning with intense fitness regimes, hostage rescue, infiltration, hand to hand combat, advanced driving, survival training, in different scenarios, including desert, arctic, jungle, urban, underwater, and more recently zero-g. After one year recruits undergo an 'exam', which involves a large scale combat scenario, in an unspecified terrain. 'Survivors', carry on with the program, and in addition are required to learn specialist courses in linguistics, first aid and rudimentary surgery, strategy, aircraft and vehicle handling, engineering and more advanced hand to hand combat. They also undergo bio-mechanical enhancements, given through injections and food supplements in order to improve reaction, eye-sight, hearing and strength under stress.

The Amuryan special forces unit is known as the Amuryan Liberation Taskforce.
They are trained in counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence, and military operations.
They are created to escort and guard top-ranking government officials during peace time.

They are armed with an assault rifle, a chain gun, a hand gun, and a combat dagger.
They are equipped with a combat helmet, a kevlar vest, and a pair of thick gloves and boots.
They are supplied with three bottles of energy water and two packages of nutritious food for their meal.

Gruabi Gamah (Gamma Group) is Luepola's premier special operations unit. Taken from the most seasoned servicemen in each branch of the Luepolan Armed Forces, Gruabi Gamah is trained in airborne deployment, underwater operations, guerrilla/asymmetrical warfare, CQB techniques, and urban combat. Training is tough, and the success rate hovers around 7%. Every applicant must be extremely fit to pass rigorous tests of shooting accuracy, endurance, strength, and agility. Each soldier must be able to stay stealthy, to be able to stalk their prey without being seen. Each soldier must be crafty, and be able to work out new angles and solutions to problems both independently and with others. Each soldier must know how to survive the harshest their environment can throw at them with nothing but their bare hands and the clothes on their back. Each soldier must be fluent in multiple languages. Most of all, each soldier must be able to befriend even the toughest and stubborn rival, to create the ultimate team.

There are approximately 2,900 special forces operators in Luepola, a group outnumbered by most other groups. However, their training and resolve are considered to be unmatched.

We have two special force groups.

Cadonica Special Forces (CSF)
Our SWAT equivalent, deals with terrorist threats. Strength is 250 men and women. They are armed and they operate similarly to real life SWAT. They were first founded in 1952 after the second civil war. They were originally called CTU (Counter Terror Unit) but they were sued by Cadonican Terrorist Union, also known as CTU, terrorist group founded in 1911. Since they were older group, Counter Terror Unit had to change their name into Cadonica Special Forces.

Cadonica Elite Unit (CEU)
Cadonica's elite soldiers, strength is 500 men and women. This unit was founded in 240 BCE. They are the most well trained soldiers using cutting edge weaponry so naturally they were the first ones to equip fire arms in 1300s when they were introduced to our nation.

The Skartskrytar are Burkish commandos, snipers, and scouts and known for being the most accurate marksman in the Burkhaer, or the Burkish Army. The Skartskrytar were responsible for turning the tide in the Battle of Hrothshelm by getting behind enemy lines and taking out artillery crews that were laying heavy fire on the infantry warriors.

Mobile Target Action Group (M-TAG): This elite battalion of the Inyursta Army (operating under Joint Service Special Operations Command - JSSOC) is most often tasked with the assassination or capture of enemy high-value targets operating in enemy territory. They occasionally perform hostage rescue services for captured airmen and counter-intelligence agents.
Often criticized by the left as a "state-sanctioned hitsquad".

Naval Special Combat Group (NSCG): The elite, clandestine vanguard of the Inyursta Navy (also operating under JSSOC), their primary mission is sabotage and destruction of key enemy facilities prior to an invasion. However, they are extremely versatile and often take on other roles such as ship raids and target elimination.

Strike Group Alpha (Alphas): Debatably the most elite of all the Inyurstan special forces and one of the best in the world, the Alphas are usually tasked with covert raids as well as search-and-destroy missions deep behind enemy lines. They are also capable of rapid insertion, target destruction and hostage rescue missions. Only until very recently did the Inyursta government ever admit to the existence of this group.

240th Strike Group: The elite units of the Marine Corps (also operating under JSSOC), this highly trained assault force is often tasked with counter-insurgency or line-breaking operations. They are notorious for their brutality, and use this as a form of physiological warfare to intimidate and demorialize enemies. They are also the only JSSOC unit to utilize armored vehicles.

1st Ranger Battalion: Originally formed from the British-trained Inyurstan rangers who fought against Carmon Solvereux's socialist regime, these elite recon scouts have evolved since the early Cold War, but still keep their highly disciplined attitudes and ability to operate clandestinely behind enemy lines for extended periods of time observing and sabotaging enemy operations.

87th Airborne: Elite air calvary and paratrooper units most often tasked with protecting high-value assets such as field commanders and counter-intelligence agents. They also proceed government officials such as the president and chief of staff. Despite their highly-used role, they are still trained and expected to operate and perform conventional warfare in a standard ground war.

Neige Luno: Meaning "Black Moon" in English, these commandos are almost entirely and uniquely tasked with force multiplication behind enemy lines, and known for their ability to turn disgruntled peasants who have never picked up a gun before into hardened counter-revolutionary killing machines. They are also notorious for their insistence on absolute camoflouge and ability to remain undetected by even highly capable first-world enemies.

Urban Enviroment Combat Group (UECG) These semi-conventional forces are trained almost exclusively in the art of urban combat, and their training regime consists of the most physical fighting of any special forces group. Primary tasked with counter-terrorism or as shock troops, they have been known to be dropped into key cities to hold out against unspeakable numbers of enemies.

Air Force Search and Rescue Operations Group (ASRO): When a pilot should go down, or any of the above need an urgent rescue, these elite commandos put their own lives on the line and face insurmountable odds to rescue them. As well as armed rescue, each commando must be battlefield-medic certified.

63rd Aviation Group: The highly-trained helicopter pilots and aviation crews that do the job of flying in all of the above. They must be trained to evade capture and keep pace with the other special forces should a bird go down.

NDIU: Naval Demolition and Infiltration Unit 
Naval infiltration and frogdino unit that's like a cross between the Underwater Demolition Units of WWII (the precursor to the Navy SEALs) and the Special Boat Service. 

COG: Covert Operations Group
Saurisia's primary black ops unit, they conduct operations the details of which are highly classified from the public. Basically like the CIA's Special Activities Division.

The Red Guards

The Red Guards fulfill a number of rolls, they are Special Forces, they are the Shock Troops, they are the main component of the Eyers-Marxgrad Garrison and the are sworn to protect the Grand Chairman and thus act as the guard Grand Chairman's Palace.

Every legion has it's own special operations cohort trained in commando tactics. Traditionally, commando operatives are assigned to 2nd Cohort of their respective legion, although there are numerous exceptions to that, each legion having it's own history and traditions in regard to commando troops.

Naval commandos are usually a detachment of veteran marines stationed aboard each armada's command ship or a specialized light vessel, usually a stealther or frigate suitable for infiltration tactics.

The Order of Judicators can also be considered a special operations force, although they are primarily an intelligence organization, engaging in black ops rather than conventional commando warfare.

Urban Security also maintains their own special units analogous to SWAT, as does Domestic Security.

While the Imperial Guard can be considered an all-special force in terms of equipment, training and experience, it's sheer size and capability to wage conventional war on it's own disqualifies it from being a true special force rather than "elite of the elite".
