Overview
Image
Proudly flying the flag of Kington Langley
Welcome to Royal Kingtonian Airways, the proud flag carrier airline of the great nation of Kington Langley. Since the foundation of our company in 1952, we have dominated the domestic airline market both in terms of overall fleet size and number of total passengers served throughout any given year. Based in the thriving urban centre of Kingsmouth, the national capital of Kington Langley, the majority of our global destinations are coordinated from Kingsmouth International Airport which serves as the primary global hub for both the country and the region of the Langlian Isles as a whole.

Despite the attention to detail on the part of our company regarding customer satisfaction and offered in-flight services, Royal Kingtonian Airways is officially categorised as a regular-cost airline by most international aviation rating and travel agencies. Our ethical code and focus on continually improving our already pristine services has earned our company many domestic airline awards in a number of customer satisfaction-related areas and a rapidly growing level of respect on the international stage.

Always seeking to expand our reach within the world to offer our customers a wider variety of served destinations, Royal Kingtonian Airways operates to more airports than almost any other airline active today with an official presence in over 200 countries and several hundred individual airports around the world. Further still, the wider Royal Kingtonian Airways Group operates a number of other successful independent but related RKA subsidiary companies that are rapidly establishing their own network of flights and services in countries yet served by Royal Kingtonian Airways.

RKA employees & individuals - 8%

Royal Kingtonian Airways is a subsidiary of the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group, a holding company registered under Kingtonian company law and which, since 2014, is itself a wholly-owned subsidiary of ViZionair. As such, 'Royal Kingtonian Airways' itself has no legal personality outside of a distinct brand name and livery. As designated flag carrier and a corporate representative of Kington Langley on the international stage, promoting domestic business and tourism to the global community, Royal Kingtonian Airways as well as its associated operating brands receive special financial protection from the government through various rules and guidelines laid out in the National Industries Act 2009 which protects domestic companies designated as 'vital' to the Kingtonian economy.

Our primary offices form part of the larger RKA Group HQ complex in Kingsmouth and act as the base of our global administrative operations which focusing primarily on coordinating our vast network of international flights. To increase efficiency as our operations expand rapidly, Royal Kingtonian Airways maintains a number of secondary offices at strategic locations around the world. While being delegated administrative powers to ease the strain on the global HQ in Kingsmouth, secondary offices exist primarily for local job recruitment, to provide globally-accessible maintenance services for RKA-owned and/or operated aircraft and to function as unofficial embassies for RKA customers needing travel assistance.

The board of directors of the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group functions as the de facto equivalent of Royal Kingtonian Airways itself. Listed below are the 12 current executive and non-executive members of the RKA Group board of directors which are key in the maintenance and administration of both RKA and her various subsidiaries and brands:

President & Chief Executive Officer

He was knighted for his services to the Kingtonian civil aviation industry in 2012 and has since become an honorary lecturer in the field of Economics & Corporate Management at the University of Kingsmouth. Since the acquisition of the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group by ViZionair in 2014 he has, in a separate capacity, served as the latter's Vice President.

Early years
Royal Kingtonian Airways was founded, along with the Kington Langley Airports Authority, by an act of the People's Congress in 1952 as Kingtonian Airways. Prior to the event, Kington Langley had maintained a strictly isolationist policy which had subsequently led to the rapid decline of the nation's tourism industry. Wanting to improve the dire economic situation brought about by successive legislation seeking to expand the policy of central planning, the communist government invested heavily in the country's crumbling airports and brought about semi-deregulation of the national civil aviation industry.

The only airline founded with official government patronage within a country that generally punished corporate expansion, it quickly became the largest active international airline based in Kington Langley. Due to the initial lack of interest in Kington Langley as a tourist destination, Kingtonian Airways was heavily subsidied by the government from the outset. Because of this, while established as a private enterprise to appease democrats, it was operationally a state-run enterprise. Starting out with a humble aging fleet of 12 medium-haul aircraft it quickly sought to establish links with surrounding countries, hoping to make the company profitable before the government decided to scrap the project.

Within the first 5 years of its establishment, it had secured lucrative routes to all nations within the Langlian Isles and entered talks with other nations outside the region. Finally, by the early 1960s, it was generating such a significant amount of annual revenue that the government decided to formalise the nationalisation of the airline. While protested by the increasingly disillusioned Kingtonian public, the airline continued to expand in terms of fleet size, destinations served and general profitability. By the end of the republic in 1971, Kingtonian Airways was one of the most profitable state-owned companies in the country.

Modern history
Following the restoration of the monarchy, the new administration saw the importance of the national flag carrier in restoring Kington Langley's international reputation and attractiveness to foreign businesses and individuals. With a democratic government now in place and the company privatised shortly afterwards, countries were now more willing to accept Kingtonian Airways into their borders. Between 1971 and 1980, the number of destinations served by the airline tripled in size as well as its active fleet. Granted the Royal prefix in 1983 by the Grand Duke of Kington Langley, it soon became recognised as one of the major international airlines.

Today it remains a market leader within the international civil aviation industry, ranking among the top 5 major airliners active in the world today. Since the establishment of the most recent route operations, Royal Kingtonian Airways boasts an extensive global route map that offers flights to more that 300 destinations in over 180 different countries around the world. It operates dedicated regional services in a further 11 countries through its independent 'RKA Regional' brand. Alongside this, Royal Kingtonian Airways has established formal codeshare agreements with 9 other internationally-successful airlines including Jungastian Imperial Airways, Skyway Airlines and Air Liberte to ensure that its operations can fluidly fit around the schedules of its competators and encourage industry-wide growth.

In 2014, the Royal Kingtonian Airways Group was acquired by ViZionair, a subsidiary of the ViZion World Corporation, for $22.5 billion. Combining ViZionair's extensive route network of over 700 destinations with Royal Kingtonian Airway's equally impressive 300 destinations created the largest airline in the history of the world with over 1,000 unique destinations served. As a subsidiary of ViZionair, Royal Kingtonian Airways now has unlimited access to ALL of these destinations, making our two companies the most connected airliners in the world in terms of total destinations served.

In recent years, we successfully become a member of a number of prestigious international airline organisations such as the International Air Transport Association and the Oneworld Airline Alliance.

Royal Kingtonian Airways safety policies
are second to none
As with all other major international airlines, Royal Kingtonian Airways takes safety very seriously. Over two decades since the last major airline disaster involving an RKA flight, we are proud to be officially recognised as one of the safest and most trusted airliners in the world. Below are the various safety precautions taken by our company to ensure that customers are in good hands throughout their Royal Kingtonian Airways experience, both in the air and on the ground. Alongside this, we lay out our official policy on prohibited items within hand luggage.

Our staff
Prior to successfully obtaining full-time employment with Royal Kingtonian Airways, prospective applicants must complete a rigorous health and safety awareness course. This course is mandatory for all our 'front line' employees. This includes pilots, flight stewards and ground crew responsible for handling and maintaining the aircraft on the ground and before take-off. Our pilots are some of the most certified in the skies, along with internationally-enforced regulations regarding their training, they must also complete a secondary training course upon joining the exclusive RKA team. While this may put many newcomers off, it ensure that only the best and most qualified are able to fly our expanding fleet of ourcraft

Our fleet
Royal Kingtonian Airways currently maintains a fully-functioning fleet of 350 aircraft of short, medium and long-haul varieties. Viewing each aircraft as a wonderful, yet equally delicate, machine we make it our mission to ensure they are fit to fly 24/7. Since our last major incident in 1992 involving technical problems, Royal Kingtonian Airways has made compulsory annual inspections of our entire fleet official airline policy. All aircraft in our active fleet, regardless of size, age, make or usage, is withdrawn from service a few days every year for a full inspection. This, combined with training tactics employed to reduce the risk of human error, ensures that flying with Royal Kingtonian Airways is an exciting and, most importantly, a safe experience.

Liquids, banned and prohibited items
To ensure that passengers aboard our aircraft can travel in the knowledge that their personal security is protected and that our staff can work in safe conditions, items that are likely to pose a risk to safety and security or can be used to cause harm are carefully restricted or banned altogether aboard all Royal Kingtonian Airways flights. Wanting to grant our customers the luxury of being able to pack in confidence, provided below is a list of certain items permitted for inclusion in hold luggage on all Royal Kingtonian Airways flights:

To: Rachel Bultimeyer, Head of Sales and Marketing at Birch Bark Books
Subject: Business partnership

Ms. Bultimeyer,

Firstly, congratulations on being the first entity to officially conduct business with Royal Kingtonian Airways through our new and improved international storefront.

Thank you for submitting an application to formally supply Royal Kingtonian Airways with various electronic reading devices and books, we would certainly have much use for such products both on the ground and in the air. As such, after much deliberation with the necessary departments, we have decided to ACCEPT your application to become an official business partner of Royal Kingtonian Airways.

To save space, we would very much like to offer your E-Reader variant on select RKA routes in both first and business class. Within our airport lounges where space is not so much of an issue, we would seek to utilise good old-fashioned printed books which will be provided to CrimsonClub holders of all tiers. Hopefully, this partnership will prove to be a profitable venture in the near future.

Thank you for your business,

To: Eliza Felton, Managing Director of Arklay Capital International Airport
Subject: International route establishment

Ms. Felton,

We agree holdheartedly with your statement that Arklay Capital International Airport has rapidly grown into somewhat of an international hub for tourism and successful airlines alike. Honoured that you would seek to invite us to commence operations to this behemoth of an airport, the board has unanimously decided to ACCEPT your application. We look forward to closely monitoring the expansion and inevitable success of RKA-operated routes to Arklay Capital International Airport in the coming years.

Acknowledging that an application from us is required to formally complete this reciprocal agreement, we shall make the necessary arrangements to submit a completed landing slot purchase form on the Arklay Capital International Airport website. Hoping to make your destination one of our focus routes in the near future, we would certainly be interested in expanding the flight frequency from the outset.

We look forward to working with you,
