We have the scales to represent equality of all of the other bars.
The six stars represent the six major Nerezzathian freedoms: racial, gender, sexual, economic, political and religious.
The two thick black bars represent the human people and the quay people (critics argue that the flag puts one race above another, but it is unknown which bar represents which race, and they are of equal size).
The thin purple bars around the black bars represent government, as it is smaller (less important) than the people and operates to maintain rights, not to remove them.
The thin purple bars around the scales represent our four major cities: Tyrial, Delazia, Auraph and Solero.
So that is the point of the thread.
The gray eagle stands for balanced freedom (as much as possible while maintaining a government). The scythe that it's holding stands for hard work. The trident it holds stands for military power. The bow stands for ingenuity. Same for the torch. The bomb stands for raw power. I just thought the purple, black, and gold would look cool.
