What are you known for here?

Postby Earth View » Mon Jul 06, 2009 4:44 am

Here's the deal: I'm new. I don't know anybody, and reading around these forums, quite a few of you know each other. This game has been running for years, so I'm not suprised. But, y'know, I feel a little left out. There's probably quite a few n00bs like myself who are the same.

So, what are you known for? Like an "introduce yourself" thread, except for the seasoned pros here on NS :)

Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

I've no idea... what do people here know me for?
"I was walking along the bank of a stream when I saw a mother otter with her cubs. A very endearing sight, and as I watched, the mother otter dived into the water and came up with a plump salmon, which she subdued and dragged on to a half-submerged log. As she ate it, while of course it was still alive, the body split and I remember to this day the sweet pinkness of its roes as they spilled out, much to the delight of the baby otters who scrambled over themselves to feed on the delicacy. One of nature’s wonders: mother and children dining upon mother and children. And that’s when I first learned about evil. It is built in to the very nature of the universe. If there is any kind of supreme being, I told myself, it is up to all of us to become his moral superior."

Not much, so far as I know.
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

I don't think I'm really known much yet, however I would like to be known for making an NSG political compass graph.

Those who actually know me probably know me as ''that Finnish kid''.

My politics are too neutral and my personality too bland to attract notice, even after four or five years visiting this forum in its different forms. That's fine. We can't all be characters. That would be obnoxious anyway.

Whereas in reality I just picked two random syllables that sounded odd beside each other, mashed them together, and used it as a username on some game I didn't imagine I would ever play again. Although I suppose I was kind of right, I can't think when I last actually played NS. Probably years ago.
