CGI is a relatively new airport that opened in 2000, as part of the Port of New Alton redevelopment project. The Port of New Alton is a bustling city of eight million people, and one of ViZion’s largest business and vacation spots, located in central ViZion along the Indian Ocean coast. The city boasts a rich cultural heritage, a thriving economy, and a stunning natural scenery. You can explore the historic Old Town, the modern Skyline District, the scenic Waterfront Park, and many other attractions that make New Alton a unique and exciting destination.
CGI is designed to handle the growing demand for air travel in ViZion and beyond. The airport serves as a major hub for domestic and international flights, connecting passengers to over 200 destinations worldwide. The airport handles about 900,000 visitors per day, making it one of the busiest airports in the world. The airport also supports the local economy by creating jobs, generating revenue, and facilitating trade and tourism.
There are 16 passenger terminals. The terminals are connected by a subway system that allows passengers to transfer between them easily and quickly. The airport also has a dedicated cargo terminal that handles over 2 million tons of freight per year.
