[Passed] Repeal "Liberate St Abbaddon"

Postby The Dourian Embassy » Tue Mar 11, 2014 8:12 pm

The Security Council,

Aware that "Liberate St Abbaddon" (SC#134) was passed to battle the then extant threat of The Brotherhood of Malice and a variety of regional armed forces to the region of St Abbaddon,

Understanding that the passage of this liberation helped to end the threat of destruction St Abbaddon was facing,

Knowing that the passage of this liberation, while successful in achieving its goals was also passed under false pretenses, and used as a tool by raider forces to open the region up further,

Cognizant that the liberation of St Abbaddon was passed without input or permission from the region's native residents whom have voiced their desires not to have this proposal in place,

Believing that this liberation is now superfluous, and an insult to the very principals this council stands for,

Hereby Repeals "Liberate St Abbadon"

Co-Authored by The Gatekeeper Ministry of Abacathea

This should be going to vote tonight. Thought I'd make a thread.

Believing that this liberation is now superfluous, and an insult to the very principals this council stands for,

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I haven't laughed so hard since grandma got her <censoreds>caught in the wringer. that reason alone is enough for me to give support to this repeal, old bean. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Curiosity

Postby Bible-Black » Wed Mar 12, 2014 11:47 am

According to reading over the forum guidelines on the security council, isn't this out of its jurisdiction.

Powers

As menioned above, the Security Council can pass three types of resolutions:

Commendations - A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

Condemnations - A resolution to express shock and dismay at a nation or region.

Liberations - A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

Therefore, the power to repeal legislation is not within the security council means or powers.I believe that must be sent and cross applied over to the World Assembly. I know redundant but that's correct bureaucracy.

Incorrect. From the Rules for SC Proposals, rule 2d:
Repeals should address the contents of the resolution they're repealing, and not by just stating the reverse of the arguments given in the resolution.
