In 2167, three years after Terran Borealis itself was founded, Prime Minister Andrew Bultimeyer wanted to improve literacy rates, so he purchased a small, struggling book publisher and turned it into a profitable company that disdained profits. Not that profits aren't bad, but that all profits would be used to build libraries in developing areas. He met a secretary named Amber Williams while he was trying to purchase the original book publisher. He fell in love with her and they married. Their son, Josiah, now runs the company with his two sisters (Rachel and Mikayla) running sales and store design, respectively.

If your publisher is accepted, the books and/or periodicals can be purchased for your shelf.

Postby Terran Borealis » Mon Mar 03, 2014 7:41 am

All libraries will be built by the nation or city, but filled by BBB.

Image
Cost: $383 per square foot
Average size: 12,000 sq ft.
Cost at size: $4.6 million
Explanation: The neighborhood library has a respectable collection of book across all genres. There is a kids's section, as well as their own nook. Some young adult fiction and research nonfiction complete the books. Several gaming systems & several desktop computer digitize it.

Image
Cost: $450 per square foot
Average size: 350 sq ft.
Cost at size: $155,000
Explanation: An Express library is a small reading room. The users have several couches, a shelf of best sellers, several desktop computers, and free wifi. The beauty of this type of library is that there are several shelves of books reserved by the users online, then delivered to the express library. This type of library requires an established library present within the city.

Image
Cost: $51 per square foot
Average size: 288,663 sq ft
Cost at size: $15 million
Explanation: The central library is a multi-story building with a massive collection of books across all genres, microfilm records, and academic papers. It has everything that the other two have, except in larger quantities.

Cost: $51 per square foot
Average size: 166,000 sq ft

We are pleased to announce new libraries will be built in five cities in Separate Texas! Especially in Del Rio. We hope that the literacy increases to at lest 85% by the end of this year. Many works are written in the rich, beautiful language called Spanish, but many of us cannot understand it. Rio Grande Press will help bridge that gap, and will be carried in all BBB stores!

After a clear-up, we are proud to announce the building of 18 new libraries! We hope the literacy jumps to at least 25% in the next month. Perhaps sitting at 67% by this time next year. Please teach everyone how to read so they can read and be transported to other worlds or find out more about ours. Many Merry Reads in the Future!

This is the largest order we have ever been asked to fill, and we intend to as soon as possible! If you don't mind we would like to carry Legion Publishings, Shoreline Publishings, and TSK Publishing House in all of our stores. Please telegram a response when you have an answer. Merry reads to all those in those 77 libraries!

-Drekkevaas City- One Central Library, Ten Neighborhood Libraries, Twenty-Five Express Libraries
-Delenje- One Central Library, Five Neighborhood Libraries, Ten Express Libraries

OOC: BTW, if you think that it is a little much for Drekkevaas City, it is the capital of the nation and home to all of the colleges except one. Drekkevaas City is also a very large city. But still, reject it and TG me if you feel it is too much, and it will promptly be lowered.

EDIT: Edited per request of OP to lower numbers.
