EP. 1 - Hitting It Off

Welcome to the town of Stonebridge, Vermont. Resting in the middle of the state and just 10 miles east of the capital city of Montpellier, Stonebridge is nestled in the lovely Green Mountains that dominate the state. With a population of 5,000 people that mostly include baby boomers and hardly any young people, Stonebridge is a typical quiet Vermont mountain town until the snow falls. From November and all the way to April, the town of Stonebridge sports some of the best slopes in the state of Vermont, prompting winter sports enthusiasts from all over the US and the world to come to Stonebridge for its slopes. As a result, the town makes plenty of money during the winter, making the winter the most prosperous time for the tiny town. However, the town is about to be plagued by something else other than hordes of young athletes. Something much more dangerous.

When the first of the 'Stonebridge Slayings' occurred in November, people were terrified, but somewhat optimistic that the crime would be solved quickly. The sheer brutality and ritualistic nature of the killing terrified many people, invoking rumors that various cults active in the area were responsible for the ritualistic murder. Many of the cults deny responsibility for the murders, stating that the killer had no membership in the cult. The townsfolk rejected this, but their attention turned to the decline of revenue in light of the recent murder. Little did they know that 4 more murders would rock Stonebridge over the course of the next 3 months, all with similar ritualistic styles and time in between each killing.

The Stonebridge Slayings would soon attract the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who would quickly declare that the slayings were the result of a serial killer. A team of FBI Agents from the Albany Office were soon dispatched to the tiny town, and you are one of these agents. Experts comprise this team, from forensics experts to criminal profilers. Will you be able to prevent the Stonebridge Slayings?

Personality: Lynch is a rather friendly FBI Agent, and he is a rather likable guy, for an FBI Agent. He tends to keep his head up through the most dire of cases, and continuously remains level-headed and focused throughout his investigations. He is professional, and he maintains rather superb manners. However, there are times in which Lynch can become a ferocious asshole, not above resorting to physical violence in order to achieve his goals.
Likes: Beer, scotch, guns, women, long walks on the beach, the beach, jazz, outlaw country.

Basic Biography (2 paragraphs): Elliot Lynch was born in Asheville, North Carolina, to a Cherokee mother and an American father. With both of his parents serving as respectable college professors and criminal justice experts at UNC Asheville, Lynch lived a rather affluent life in an upscale suburb in Asheville. Despite being sent to private schools and such, Elliot could never fit in with the private school crowd, choosing to hang out with the public school kids. He smoked marijuana and drank underage as a teenager, beginning to get mixed up in the "wrong" crowds. Despite this, he remained a straight-A student and was a prime athlete, swimming for the swim team. When he graduated from college, he was offered a 4-year Army ROTC Scholarship to Norwich University.

Life as a "Rook" at Norwich kicked his ass into gear somewhat, teaching him discipline and military bearing. After he was officially recognized as a Norwich Cadet, he joined the Vermont National Guard, going to Basic during the summer. Throughout his time at Norwich, he went to Airborne School, Air Assault School, and Mountain Warfare School for the Army, as well as foreign military cadet exchanges with the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and with the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras in Brazil. While also bettering his Army career, he also became heavily involved in his Criminal Justice Studies, joining various Criminal Justice clubs on campus and even getting a job as a reserve Police Officer at the Northfield Police Department.

When he received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army, he was assigned as a Military Intelligence Officer with the 525th. Battlefield Surveillance Brigade. After completing his training as a military intelligence officer, he would go out for Ranger School and earn his Ranger Tab. After 4 years with the 525th., he would go out for Special Forces Selection and complete his training, earning a promotion to Captain and being placed in charge of a Special Force ODA.

During his time as a Special Forces Officer, his unit was dispatched to Somalia, Iraq, Yemen, and Afghanistan, where they battled Islamic terrorists. His experience in Military Intelligence would come in handy with his Special Forces experience, and the intelligence that he gleaned from enemy operations and EPWs would save many Coalition lives. However, after 7 more years of military service, he would leave the Army as a Major and join the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Elliot's first assignment as an FBI Agent was with the Critical Incident Response Group, serving with the HRT and with the Crisis Negotiation Unit. After several operations with the CIRG, he would be transferred over to the Criminal Investigation Division, where he served with the Violent Crimes Section. He distinguished himself by profiling and arresting a serial killer who was preying on tourists in Miami, but despite his objections, he was sent to Albany, where he further apprehended an ex-Marine Scout Sniper-turned serial killer near Niagara Falls. When news of the Stonebridge Slaying reached the Albany FBI Office, Elliot and several other agents were dispatched to investigate the murders, with Elliot as the Special Agent in Charge.

Currently, Elliot is married to Eve Clark-Lynch, a security consultant to the US Foreign Service. The two have a son named Isaiah, with no plans to have another child. Eve and Elliot met when the two were both Army intelligence officers, and got married shortly before Elliot went out for the Special Forces.

Before his brother's death, Hunter came out as gay to his friend and family his sophomore year. Hunter expected to lose friends and become an outcast, however that wasn't the case. Nobody batted an eye at the fact he liked men nor was he treated any differently than before. Granted his brother and friends became somewhat protective, but other than that, high school was still a great experience for him. Due to his athleticism, Hunter earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.

During his time at Pittsburgh, he showed interest in joining the Army as an MP, and enrolled in ROTC. However after attended a seminar that was held at his school ,he then worked to becoming an agent. While at Pittsburgh, Hunter fell head over heels for a team mate and the two developed a relationship. Hunter is a fully qualified federal agent but is still finding his niche within the bureau. Hunter still struggles with his brother's death, not knowing what happened, who did it and why still gives Hunter terrible nightmares. Hunter was first assigned to NYC's White Collar division, where he was apart of several head lining cases. The job, however, took a toll on Hunter's relationship. Because some of his assignments required him to be gone from home, sometimes days at a time, his boyfriend took the opportunity to see other men behind his back, throwing four years down the drain. Hunter found out about the infidelity and kicked him out. He was recently transferred over to Albany.

He played with neighborhood kids, rode bikes, and got into mischief. There is however one standout event in his childhood. When he was eleven he and a friend were accosted by a stray dog. The dog lunged at Timothy's friend, but Timothy jumped in the way and received a large scar on the left forearm for his trouble. To this day Timothy is extremely uneasy around dogs.

Following his graduation from High School, Timothy enlisted in the Marine Corps. For the next 6 years he served as a MP on a number of installations both domestic and foreign. He was recognized several times for his commitment and ability during those years. Following his discharge from the Corps, Timothy enrolled at Cal Poly studying Sociology.

After graduating Timothy was offered a job in the Bureau, provided he met the necessary requirements. He easily passed the tests and exams that were thrown at him and was assigned to the Albany field office. At first he was a little disappointed at being sent across the country but he quickly took to Albany and has settled in nicely.
