The Seven Commandments of Forum 7

I intentionally fit the F7 rules into 7 categories to go with the theme.

Forum 7's name originally comes from the s00oer-sekrit moderation forum's ID number circa 2003/2004 on the old pre-Jolt era forums. Back then, observant users noticed that the visible forums ID numbers went 1, 2, 3 4, 5, 6, 8... leading to conspiracy theories about "Forum #7." So as a joke and part of April Fools 2004, I made "Forum 7", staging it as "oh crap the secret forum got exposed to the public!" Like the Liberal/Conservative Discussion Zones from April Fools 2010, it was only supposed to be open for a day or two, however it quickly filled a unique niche in the forums and we let it stick around until it had to be sacrificed to preserve the dying server hamsters of the old Nationstates server.

Cool, I've always wondered why because Junkyland was founded in 2009.

There was a F7 on the old forums, which were on the NS forums, but it was apparantly deleted. Then, the rest of the forums went to the bastards at Jolt/OMAC, and F7 wasn't remade. When the forums moved to the much better new forums, there was still no F7, but one day the Mods decided to try it out. After a while, the initial spam attack was gone and they decided to keep it. I suspect this and the archived Liberal and Conservative Discussion Boards are the first on the chopping block when the servers go.

Forum 7 is not a spam forum, and threads that are nothing more than spam will be locked. Similarly, posts made in Forum 7 will not be added to your post count, to discourage people from posting borderline spam in various F7 threads just to boost their post count.

I take it this was before Forum 7 posts didn't affect one's post count?
