There's a difference between RP'ing evil and trolling. Ralkovia's thread was almost certainly the latter, and several of the people that ended up getting bans participated in that attempt to troll.

But did all those who participate do it to troll? No. Only a few players, at the most, did it to troll.
I know I did not.

No, but you did spam rather heartily. Considering the obvious intent to troll in the OP and throughout the thread, posting the way you did certainly showed knowledge of that intent, and rather than simply ignoring the train wreck, you fed into it.

Being an accessory to trolling, while not trolling in and of itself, is certainly on the same tier of reprehensibility.

It's quite an implication; when the RP was satire directed at experienced RPers. It wasn't some masterminded plan to confuse new players.

'Spamming heartily' was referring to the fact that you contributed willfully and knowingly to the train wreck in progress. Hence why I said that you were an accessory to trolling; you may not have been trolling in and of itself, but by posting in and contributing to the thread, you were certainly helping in keeping the thread alive and the train of spam and baiting rolling along.

Can we let it go? You guys will just keep running in circles at this point. What's done is done, and you all hopefully learned from this not to do it again. The Mentors now understand and have taken responsibility. They aren't the first, and won't be the last, established and respected RPers to make that mistake. But I am pretty sure they won't do it again.

Thank you to all of you for your comments. For those who felt an apology wasn't necessary: as a mentor, I felt I should have treated the situation in a more professional manner (as expected) because I am a mentor, and because I didn't, I felt such an apology was necessary.

Arguing over the morality of the thread and the ensuing punishments, when said punishments have already been given and served, is completely pointless. A lot of well established RPers made a silly mistake, and the punishment was intended to make it clear that their status or title does not warrant them immunity from the rules. Any further discussions on the topic should be relegated to telegrams; I'd be happy to answer questions or respond to any remaining concerns over telegram.

I'm going to request that a moderator lock this thread before it gets out of hand. Again, I appreciate all your comments on this issue.

I expect so much more out of you Virana. I was hurt and appalled when you spammed. All I wanted to do was RP, and everyone made it impossible. I think you should take a good hard look at yourself in a mirror and cry at least 2 hrs.

Generally, my thread was meant as satire. There was no trolling. I saw the Killing Islam thread, read it because it was a shit thread with shit responses, and decided that this would be hilarious to parody. I would have easily have chosen Buddhism or Christianity.
