Pravene Task Group still holding out in International waters from Mathews Island

Due to the SADIARA law in Hippostania that brought much criticism from the international community and the eventual WA condemnation on the country. The Hippostanian government went forward with detaining foreign ambassadors, of which some were of Pravengria's ally Yohannes. In result, the Yohannesian government declared war on the Republic and publicly condemned the nation for its irresponsible acts. With a 74% approval from parliament, His Majesty issued a follow up Declaration of War and stated that Hippostania was to release the ambassadors or face conflict. To ensure there was some leverage, His Majesty ordered a task group of a carrier and three cruisers from the overseas province of Sanatasia to Mathews Island. A territory of Hippostania holding 95,000 residents.

After word arrived that Hippostania had released the ambassadors in response from political pressure from other nations, Pravengria began to feel at ease. However, the Pravene government has its eyes set on Mathews Island. His Majesty has realized the importance of the island to gaining more trade influence in Pardes and has not yet ordered the group to withdraw. Mathews Island is a Hippostannian territory far from the main country with only 95,000 people.

Not long after the release of the Ambassadors, His Majesty offered the option for Hippostania to accept payment for the island to be switched from Hippostanian control to Pravene control. The government plans on setting up numerous industries on the Island to provide jobs as well as to help boost the economy of the island. A small depot for the navy is also on the mind of parliament. The government doesn't wish to push for hostilities it seems and hopes that Hippostania will comply and accept the offer, the alternative to the offer is to allow joint-control but the territory be officially in Pravene hands. Parliament came to the conclusion that the Island probably has very little influence from the Republic of Hippostania due to its Isolation and the fact that Pravene trade lines travel all around it.

A new stock exchange planned

Saxonopl'-
Earlier today the Financial Ministry declared its intentions to establish a Pravene stock exchange along with a Central bank. This came after days of meetings held by the Financial Ministry that started last Saturday. Jon Dumon stated that the plans for construction of the key buildings are underway and that the stock exchange should be the first to be finished. Jon also stated that the FM is looking at foreign investors and as well as that of the Yohanessian Stock Exchange, for the chance to hit the market globally and fast. With Pravengria's economic stature on the rise after a slight drop in 2011, the Ministry of Finance seems very optimistic.

''To be able to finally have a government grant to create this is going to provide quite alot for the country'' Jon stated at a press conference just earlier today. ''We hope to see Pravengria in the top ten of growing global economies, with Industry now aiming for trade, electronics and fuel, the country will see an economic boom.'' Critics are skeptical of how much the Stock Exchange planned could actually bring to the country's economy. But it i safe to say even the skeptics are hopeful that it will work.

Pravengria has been operating trade with numerous other nations and colonies and hopes that the Pravene Commonwealth will benefit greatly with the IKP being the biggest monetary provider in assets. Jon stated that he hopes to see foreign investment and companies coming from over seas to participate in the Stock Exchange and see that ties internationally will strengthen in the coming years.

Shelvay Island Riots ensue in New Belhavia, Excessive force?

Image

Shelvay Islands, New Belhavia, Tyrrhenia- It is now the second day amid massive riots that have swept the Shelvay Islands the Provisa Times based in the country has reported. Just two days ago after an investigation revealed that pork was present in kosher food did a sect of ''ultra-hasidim'' start a series of riots. The man behind the chaos is that of apparent Rabbi Jacob Greenstein who organized a mob the first day, and has resulted in significant destruction of property in the city of Westport.

As the first day drew to a close, Belhavian authorities were overwhelmed by the size of the crowd, leaving the night to have ended with 70 people being injured, and one death due to trampling. By 7:50pm, Governor Zalen Keller declared a ''State of Emergency'' and ordered numerous police and order units to mobilize and help enforce curfew and martial law amidst a massive and out of control situation, the Provisa Times Reports.

However now being the second day into the riots, the Governor ensured order would be restored followed by TV media capturing that of armoured cars and authorities wearing riot armour and using riot shields, and even a tank. Provisa reported that some 600 soldiers were actually ordered to head from Fort Komisnky, a military installation just eleven kilometers from the city. By 6am, using armoured vehicles, troops managed to push the rioters back from the government district. A move that many in the FCP have considered risky.

==Updated 1:35pm==
By midday, government forces were able to gain control over much of the city, somewhat containing the riots to a few buroughs and issuing a warrant for Greenstein's arrest. The aftermath as Belhavian authorities try and finally end the riots has become much of a shock to political leaders in the FCP. Reports have indeed come in with numerous videos being posted online of the riots stating that up to a ''thousand could be dead or injured'' Provisa reported.

So far it is too early to estimate full property damages, all though during the interview with Governor Zeller, at the city hall in Westport. David Fallitz a professor at a college their stated that it was, ''the worst disruption of public life in the colony in history." Minister of Economics, Herald Cruz of Pravengria, commented on the situation that he believed,
''The Belhavian authorities may have spiraled the riots way out of control due to the force that was used.''
Stating that the riots did indeed pass the point they shouldn't have in response to Belhavian Authorities and the force they utilised. He argued that because of the use of armoured vehicles and actual military personnel that the situation escalated much further than it should have, resulting in more collateral damage and loss of life.

==Updated 7:21pm==
Around 6pm, Belhavian authorities have more or less slammed rioters, being able to contain much of the disruptions and surrounding what is believed to be the last neighbourhood where the ring leader, Rabbi Greenstein is being held up. Charges that were explained earlier in the day reported he could be charged with terrorism and treason. Two felonies that can result in capital punishment the Belhavian News Media reported. It is still unclear exactly how many were injured, or the extent of damage, but Belhavian authorities have been able to take control of the situation now.

Licensed Birthright up for vote in Parliament

Image

Saxonople, FCP- It has been a week now since the ''Licensing Act for the Up-Bringing of Children'' hit the House of the Commonwealth. Unfortunately, as Delegate Shawn Gordon said, HoC wasn't able to reach any decision on whether to pass or deny the bill. It was then decided with a unanimous vote that the HoC would convene with the upper house of Parliament, the Ministry. To launch a final review over the law, and then vote with the entire legislative body on whether the bill should be enacted.

Proposition #240 as the bill is being called would decide if parents would be required to actually apply for a license in order to have and therefore raise children. The bill illustrates as follows,
''If this bill shall be under majority vote enacted into constitutional law, that it provide a penalty for unlicensed parents who have not obtained a license prior to conceiving a child''

This has raised many questions in the HoC resulting in numerous revisions before the Lower House would even consider voting. The bill which was drafted forth by that of Delegate Gale Vycowski who is the present Delegate of the Hardenfork Province; has received quite a bit of opposition, and surprisingly to some, support resulting in a deadlock in the HoC.

One of the revisions made sure that teen parents ergo teens who had engaged in sexual intercourse of which resulted in a pregnancy or conceiving of a child were held exempt from the law so long as the act and birth would have occurred prior to a couple reaching the age of 18. Delegate Gordon who helped make the final push for the revision felt it was a necessary addition in order to avoid a ''legal mess'' in regards to child support and ''mud sling'' in which a teen mother could use the law as a means of ensuring the biological father to go to jail longer than Child Support Laws usually set.

''We take teen pregnancy as a major issue, since we do have a problem in that regard. However, I helped with the revision feeling it was necessary to ensure that the Law couldn't be abused to ensure a ''mud sling'' in legal cases involving teenage child support cases.'' Gordon told PNN.

Gordon also pointed out during such a case that resulted in an amendment having to be implemented in the Beneficiary Child Support Act in 2003, where the family who was prosecuting the biological father used a loop-hole in the bill to have him sentenced to 10 years in prison. The ruling was later overturned through an appeal submitted to the Administration of Justice and resulted in the amendment being added. However that didn't occur til five years after he was sentenced, displaying as Gordon said the ''legal mess'' of ''misuse of laws''. A statement in itself that has gained alot of outcry as of late.

An advocate of Gordon's revisions, Delegate Thomas Bialle told PNN that the bill at ''this point is too controversial to be enacted--and if it did pass prematurely, could get shot down by the AoJ for unconstitutional clauses.'' You can see the full draft of Proposition #240 here. Once Parliament convenes and reviews the bill, they'll have 12 days to decide a vote on it and to see if it becomes a law or is forced to go back to Vycowski for editing and rewriting. If this occurs and the bill again fails, it can not be re-implemented for a total of 10 years.

MoD to order 3rd fleet to Tyrrhenia

Image

Saxonople, FCP- The Federal Republic of Geanna, a nation that holds a semi-autonomous status in the Pravene Commonwealth has called for international aid in what has been a massive uprising in the nation since the 1970-1976 Geannese Conflict. Not even four days ago, the Red Hand, a terrorist organisation that promotes the idealogy of a communist state, successfully assassinated the countries newly elected Prime Minister and members of his cabinet.

Not long after, the group is now calling themselves the ''People's Revolution Movement'' [PRM for short], released classified documents that were held by the Pravene Military involving the PDF during the Geannese Conflict. The documents which unraveled the mystery behind the Gashing Massacre and the bombing campaign the Commonwealth launched in Geanna during the war in he year of 1975-1976, sparked a massive outcry in lingering anger over the war that cost the country two hundred thousand lives.

The reports released by the group were neither denied nor accepted to be fact by the Pravene Government over large scale chemical attacks on civilian targets as a ''Shock and Awe'' strategy. In a rousing grip of Irony in relation to the cold spike with New Belhavia thanks to Cruz, the Minister of Economics and his comment on their ''excessive force'' during the riots in the country, has the Emergency Committee in Geanna lead by Leo Varnis, the Royal Governor of the country, called for international aid by most likely what could be military means.

Over the course of three days, authorities in the country have lost control by the sheer number of rioters who at first resulted to looting and firebombing storefronts, to what is now the MoD believes, the start of yet another massive uprising that could lead to a second Civil War. This morning, reports flooded the Pravene Foreign Ministry over mortar attacks on the country's capital of Hoffen. In response, Varnis has ordered a withdraw of police forces from the city, the government to be moved, and the mobilization of the Geannese Armed Forces. Pravene Defense Force [PDF] which number by around 3,400; have been struggling to try and make an advantage on curbing the outbreak of violence that has hit the country nationwide.

Reports came into to Central 6, the Commonwealth's intelligence organization, that just days after the successful change of power due to the Bulgislavian revolution that installed a communist regime, has evidence come in that the PRM [Red Hand] has been using the country of Bulgislavia as a possible training ground, a safe haven outside of Pravene Jurisdiction. The PRM is suspected of threading together the uprising in Geanna as a means to try and seize power, much to the Commonwealth's fears, Minayev who is believed to be the leader of the group, appears to have started a combined and like minded uprising using left over hatred for the PDF victory during the Geannese Conflict.

In response to the civil unrest, Parliament has given the Crown the green light to ''do whatever is necessary in order to restore order.'' As such, the Ministry of Defense acting under the Crown as ordered the 3rd fleet which was on a round trip of exercises from the Pravene Dominion of Triela in Sondria to head north into Tyrrhenia. Several possible plans have come together on how to try and contain the situation before it breaks out into another war. The group is travelling with a light carrier, and three guided missile destroyers, and one submarine.

The MoD estimates it could take up to two weeks before the third fleet arrives in Tyrrhenia, leaving the Geannese government at the hands of a restless populace, and the growing possibility of another civil war. Varnis has called for international aid in response to the situation, of which, the MoD is hoping somewhat allies like New Belhavia in Tyrrhenia may respond until a proper Pravene response can be put into motion.

Pravengria growing globally?

Image

Saxonople, FCP- With the Royal Trading Company beginning to finally get back up off of the ground after the crash in 2011, the economy since then has grown exponentially. Giants like Sel Corp. and Pravene United have expanded not just nationwide but throughout the global network of the Commonwealth. Sel Corp. which nearly lost funding by the Pravene government early in 2013, had to sell UTA to Myrmidon Tactical Design to regain lost assets, the result allowed the company not long after the deals in Sondria with founding states of MTD to allow Sel Corp. to resurface.

2013 was a huge year for the country as government priority shifted from Defense to Education, and citizens watched as the taxation rates went from nearly 53% down to just 17%. Alot of the major changes in the economy come directly from the Crown who worked with Parliament over a period of six months under the ''Progression Plan'', the move to restabilize the economy, create more jobs and look abroad for investments and investors.

Breaking down the government budget has long been a headache for the Economic Ministry, especially after they had to go into over-drive during the plan to submit and tweak in changes for the new federal budgets. Education, Defense, and Commerce have taken top priorities with Welfare, Healthcare, and Social Equality coming in close second. One of the major moves the Crown pulled was cutting back on the budget grants for the administration which gains only 3%.

Three months into the plan did Parliament watch as the exchange rate level out, a year ago $1 USD could get you as much as ф12, where as now they are nearly equal. One of the big things considered to have saved the country from the economic crisis in 2011 was the production plan with MTD. For weeks delegates formed a plan that would bring jobs to the crippling 15% unemployment rate, finally putting it into action the FCP signed a deal with Marquesan a nation that borders south of the Pravene Domain of Triela, for the chance to produce MTD equipment.

The deal was accepted after much discussion, the result saw factories spring up across the Commonwealth that mass-produced MTD equipment, then shipped it out to Sondria and buyers. Thousands found jobs in the new networks, dropping the unemployment to just over 4%. The Ministry of Economics who released their annual report to the government early today showed that the country gains on average $4.6 trillion in trade surplus. Where just a year ago the FCP was in debt by 1.1 trillion, with a large trade deficit.

With the success of the 'Progression Plan', His Majesty hopes that the new market will attract investors and extra-national corporations to do business with the FCP. This year the MoE is working on finishing the new Argente Stock Exchange, and beginning on a centralized banking system that will rival the Yohannesian banks. Pravengria which sits in it's own region, void of foreign conflict at home with many holdings in that of Sondria, Tyrrhenia and Greater Dienstad has expressed it's interest in expanding further. His Majesty who commented on the MoE's report said, ''Trade is the new war, and economics is her battlefield, rather than fighting with a spear, it is better to fight with ideas and culture.''

The country has indeed taken a step further yet again on a global stage, which some critics say will make it hard to not conduct business with the country. ''In the economic and geo-political fields, Pravengria in the next five years could be one of the leaders of the global market, the result could allow the country to blossom'' said Chief Minister Harold Simon of the MoE. Some however disagree with the optimism, stating that the expansions the country is making into the global market could foresee many '''wars and conflicts.''

Rodarian Tanker sunk from torpedo, says MoD

Image

Nov. 8

Saxonople, FCP- The Papal Republic of Rodarion, a nation which sits in Pardes, has been known by the FCP and others over it's theocratic policies. However, nothing has angered the federation more than the passing of the ''Faith Acts'' by the theocratic regime. There was hope however, in late August, the Papal Republic elected Alexandrescu, a man who many outside of Rodarion thought would provide a ''positive'' change. However they couldn't have been more wrong.

In late October, a massive police raid coordinated most likely through the Papacy and the government itself raided homes in the twilight hours of dawn, and arrested 385 people. Including that of Vladimir Bratescu, in the report, he was arrested for breaking the ''Faith Acts'' on ''eighteen counts of Overt Sexual Behaviour, six counts of confirmed homosexual behaviour, seven counts of distributing pornograhpy, five counts of reading illegal material and three counts of distributing said material.'' ''The Ministry for Christian Culture has stated that the huge operation 'was necessary for the preservation of religious unity and continued social stability'.''

The picture which was shown of Bratescu, displayed that these ''criminals'' were possibly living in deplorable conditions. By November 3rd, it was made public that Bratescu was to be executed, this sparked out cries in the FCP with one riot getting out of hand in Sarlia. Including other riots abroad such as in Belfras in Nos Callis. On November 7th, the IT consultant, Vladimir Bratescu was executed, the news which was broadcasted on the media.

After the execution, President Anina called for a meeting with Parliament, the Crown and the Judicial Administration. After the meeting was finished behind closed doors, all three parties were in agreement. Anina who addressed reporter's questions after the meeting stated that, ''His Majesty will address on national television, the situation with Rodarion shortly. After recent events carried out by the government of the Papal Republic. Military Police have been ordered to detain the Rodarian ambassador, his staff, and family, and put them on a flight home tonight. The Rodarian embassy will then be closed, Parliament has stated with majority vote, that Rodarion has lost all trading privileges with the FCP, and that the FCP no longer recognizes the sovereignty of the Rodarian Government.''

His Majesty who was on several news stations last night, addressed the public of the situation. The speech he gave is outlined below;

''My fellow Pravene, Yesterday on November the 7th, the Papal Republic of Rodarion ordered the execution of Vladimir Bratescu, an IT consultant who had broken several laws of the commonly known 'Faith Acts', Madame President Anina earlier today called a meeting with the government where it was decided by the majority. A few hours ago, Military Police were ordered to enter the Rodarian Embassy, and ensure that the ambassador, staff, and family were placed upon a plane and sent home tonight.

This followed the decision during the meeting, stripping the Rodarian government of recognized sovereignty by the FCP. With that, Rodarion will be subject to an Oil Embargo by the FCP, cutting all trades with the nation. Rodarian Oil Tanker with in Pravene waters will be ordered to leave, empty. The Navy has been given orders that tankers who attempt to leave Pravene waters still loaded will be subject to aggression.''

Last night, the Rodarian Oil tanker, Cervescu left Pravene waters attempting to bring the Oil it had loaded back to Pardes. The Pravene navy, pursued the tanker before it was struck with a torpedo. Naval personnel and the MoD stated, that because the ship under it's captain was fleeing Pravene waters, well aware of the orders, and after several attempts by the Royal Navy to have the ship stop and return to the FCP to have its cargo unloaded, that the ship was then struck with a torpedo which ignited the oil and sat much of the ship ablaze.

The MoD stated that the Cervescu was then boarded, and the crew taken off ship. Three were killed in the torpedo hit, and another eight injured, which have been sent to a military medical facility. The MoD said that the FCP will send the crew home to Rodarion, and that the three who were killed in the attack will be flown home. Merchant ships from the FCP have been ordered to steer clear of Pardes, while regulations over the embargo are still under wraps. The Cervescu, the MoD said was sunk in International waters.

Rodarion reacts to sinking of Cervescu and FCP policy, MoD says

Image

Nov. 9

Saxonople, FCP- Just a day after the sinking of the Cervescu, a large oil tanker that was attacked by a Pravene submarine after trying to flee maritime waters loaded with oil, the Rodarian government shot back at the FCP. The Papal Republic seized Pravene assets, an accumulated networth of 56 billion dollars, as well as ordered the ostracization of pravene nationals in the country. The Ministry of Defense commented that they would return a favor, Rodarian assets in the FCP were seized, accounts closed, and foreign investors of Rodarion have been detained until further notice. The MoE said they had blacklisted Rodarian companies from being listed in the Argent stock exchange, and have gone so far as to seize any accounts associated with the Papal Republic from third party companies in the exchange.

Yesterday, the FCP stated that it no longer recognizes the legitimacy of the Rodarian government, and may be willing to press for war over Human Right Violations by the Papal Republic. Rodarion who has ordered pravene nationals to vacate the nation in 72 hours, has caused quite a stir on social media sites back home sparking outrage at the Papal Republic. Many are urging the government to do something.

The PRR demanded an apology which was outlined in the nation's national media, an apology that the MoD said, they won't get. ''They don't deserve an apology, we apologize for the loss of life to the families aboard the ship when the torpedo struck the Cervescu, but to the defunct government of the country, they won't hear one from us. The FCP doesn't negotiate, or deal with governments that are illegitimate'' Said Deputy Chairman Alexander Vance of the MoD. Many have asked whether or not the FCP is willing to go to war, despite the circumstances, the MoD has refused to comment.

The public outrage however has gone far where it can no longer be ignored, nationals in the FCP demanding that the government take action against the PRR. Human Rights Organizations, such as the Prisoner Innocence Association, have set up polls on their websites to see where the public favors. So far 64% have favored for pravene action, while another 36% have gone against it.

We will keep you updated on this live feed.

RV Pulsa attacked by PRN

Image

Nov 10

International Waters, outside of the mainland of Pravengria Major- The RV Pulsa, another flagged Rodarian ship was attacked by the Pravene Royal Navy late last night. This happened at around 9:40pm fifteen kilometers off the maritime borders of the Pravene Isles. The Pulsa which naval officials say was being escorted out of Pravene waters when the ship was deliberately used as a ''battering ram'' against naval vessels. The Pulsa rammed into a destroyer, severely damaging the ship before it capsized. Sustaining minor damage to the bow of the ship, the PRN escort was then ordered to fire upon the container vessel.

Captain Sheffield of the HMS ''Argonie'' said that after the vessel had rammed the ''Yula'', they were ordered to fire. Deck guns aboard the other three destroyers open fired on the housing unit near the stern of the Pulsa. The rounds from the deck guns, Sheffield said, blew the bridge of the housing apart, setting it and some of the containers ablaze. Officials said that the Pulsa was being escorted from maritime waters after all ties were cut with the Papal Republic yesterday following a series of 'Human Rights Violations' and execution of the late IT Consultant Bratescu, the ship which sustained major damage to the stern is expecting to be towed back to Carliana Port.

The cargo officials said, would be reloaded on another vessel bound for Rodarian. ''Since it had already been paid for'' the Port Security stated. The Yula which capsized after the collision is undergoing preparations for a tow, the impact killed 12 sailors aboard the ship and injured several others. It is unknown at this time the casualties sustained on the Pulsa. Officials speculate that the ship may have rammed the Yula in possible outrage over the sinking of the Cervescu a day earlier. Though it is expected that the captain of the ship was killed in the strike.

With this being now the second attack on a Rodarian flagged vessel, many are speculating what the FCP is pushing for. The MoD has refused to comment on a recent emergency meeting with government officials that started yesterday and is still carrying on today. In Saxonople, thousands gathered to protest Rodarian policies, after 385 were arrested in a nationwide police raid coordinated by Rodarian authorities.

Emotions have run hot both in Pardes and across the FCP, with demonstrations in colonies from Sondria, to Tyrrhenia. PIA the Prisoner Innocence Association is demanding that the FCP take action through OPA or the WA to reach a proper resolution in regards to the Papal Republic.

FCP looking for expansion

Saxonople, FCP- General Secretary Arnold Hems of the MoD, stated that the FCP was looking for areas to ''expand the growing power of Pravengria'' to different regions. The FCP which maintains 5 constituent territories in three regions, believes there are more areas to expand and grow both economically and militarily. At current the Federation holds three territories in Sondria, known collectively as Triela, one in Greater Dienstad known as the Rionese Isles, and Geanna in Tyrrhenia.

Hems stated that the Crown was now eyeing Pardes for potential military bases, with the recent peace summit between the Crown and representatives of the Papal Republic, the FCP is hoping for a cancellation of the Embargo to pursue a potential arms deal with Belfras. As well as the establishment of numerous joint bases in the region, a move which Hems stated was, ''A way to further cooperation with Pardesian nations, and offer aid in times of crisis and routing out the recent incursions in the Middle East.''

Another region the FCP has set its eyes on is Cornellia, home to long time ally New Edom, a nation which as of late has been subject to on going political turmoil and civil conflicts. ''The FCP believes it is vital to enforce and put in place bases to better control the situation, and provide security for New Edom.'' Hems noted that some PDF units had long been stationed in the country to maintain order and contain disturbances. ''We're a growing economic power, after the deal with MTD and Marquesan in Sondria, we are a manufacturing center. Not to mention the dependency we've gained in these regions for selling our oil.''

When asked over the recent treatise with the PRR, Hems added, ''The deal was struck when we realized that we had potential in the region, we admitted to the Rodarians that we were in the wrong and provided both a settlement and paid for the funerals of the 88 killed during our attacks. The Rodarians luckily were forgiving, and we opened up a long needed deal for Rodarian pharmaceuticals. It was a win-win situation for both nations''

His Majesty met with key leaders of Parliament earlier today, along with the CEO's of the MTD manufacturing industry of the country to discuss ways to push out a quicker output. Critics in Parliament, which is divided on the issue, claim that the Crown is looking for a way to increase its military capacity to push their interest in the coined, ''regions of interests'' - a claim that has had Parliament divided for the past few weeks. Hems who has been on the opposing side of these critics has been in a locked battle, ''We're not looking to rush forces into these places, all that will do is hold repercussions that will out weigh the good. We want to provide better security for some allies, and expand our trade network.''

Orthodoxy, Carpathia declares war after surprise attack

Image

Carpathian Dominion of Triela; Sondria- Parliament agreed to Madame Presidents plea after her speech to officially declare a state of war between the FCC and both Orthodoxy and Mandicoria. Just this morning, Orthodoxy aircraft came over the borders of Triela, a territory of the FCC in the region Sondria, and attacked numerous outposts, refineries and the port city of Porte D'Elion. The Ministry of Defense says that despite the best efforts from the PDF stationed in the city, they were ordered to withdraw thus losing the critical port.

His Majesty has not yet made a comment, since he's been gone on personal leave giving the powers of the country to Madame President Garcia til his return. At her speech hours after the report by Central 6, Garcia promised vengeance and that the nation of Orthodoxy would ''feel the devastation'' in the Carpathian's ''wake''. Afterwards Parliament passed an official declaration of war on Orthodoxy and its vassal Mandicoria, the Carpathian military across the entire FCC for the first time in sixty years has been placed under DEFCON 3 with a stand-by order for DEFCON 2.

Garcia acknowledged the sacrifice of the souls who tried to defend Porte D'Elion saying that the ''brutal attack did not come without great loss.'' The Ministry of Defense says that of the casualties, a thousand civilians have been injured or killed in the attacks on Porte D'Elion, they [MoD] stated that the civilians were evacuated to Civil Defense zones, bunkers in and around the city. However, Orthodoxy aircraft whether confused over the target or under direct orders attacked these zones. The MoD hasn't speculated if the civilian losses were intentional or a massive mis-communication. With the civilian souls that were lost, the MoD speculates in total over the territory the PDF has lost almost two thousand brave souls to the onslaught.

Artillery and aircraft bashed border outpost early in the morning without warning, many of them in the Transalpine Mountains, were destroyed in the first few hours. Not long after, large forces of motorized vehicles and soldiers began to cross the borders and have been engaged in heavy resistance especially in the Gonzales Prefecture where the PDF has taken to guerrilla tactics.

With the push to DEFCON 3, the MoD states that the reserves will be pulled to active duty, and that forces will be prepped to come from every part of the Commonwealth. At current the FCC maintains a standing military force of 3.7 million, with 1 million and four hundred thousand on active duty who will be the quickest to deploy to the region.

An emergency hotline has been set up by the MoD for those to contact their loved ones in the territory, which can be found here. Due to the attacks, flights to Triela have been grounded or redirected, with the MoD and the MoCD determining that the situation is extremely volatile. Reports came in before midday over the destruction of the port in Porte D'Elion apparently under a direct order from SONCOM, the central command for the armed forces in that region. After the orders for withdraw came through, PDF were told to scuttle the remaining vessels in the harbor, and to detonate and destroy the bridges leaving south of the city.

People reported thousands of trucks in massive convoys with people walking, holding everything they could manage travelling south from Porte D'Elion, most likely meaning that the evacuation was successful. General Garnier has been given control over the PDF in the region until a further notice, he is in charge of the evacuation and the regrouping of PDF. ''We at the moment, are in our darkest hour'' he commented on a video call with MoD that has gone viral now on youtube, the video depicted the convoys moving south, and the chaos that has enveloped the northern border regions of the territory.

We will keep you posted.

MoD on Orthodoxy; ''We are ready for war''

Image

A soldier of the 29th Ranger Battalion watches fires burn after a missile strike by Orthodoxy forces in the Transalpine Mountains

Carpathian Dominion of Triela; Sondria- It's been just a few weeks since Orthodoxy and Mandicoria troops launched an invasion of the Carpathian territories of Triela, in what many back home are calling a brutal and swift assault. The Ministry of Defense commented earlier today that PDF [Provincial Defense Forces] have ''encountered intense fighting across all border regions of Triela''.

The territory, which is actually three separate territories that rest in the region Sondria half a world away; was occupied by Carpathian forces back in 1951 as part of a Zoning Deal leased with the Shogunate of Marquesan, a deal that was held with the intention of increasing trade and maintaining buffer zones between rebel groups that had threatened the Trielese areas for three decades. Since then however, the territories have remained peaceful after PDF gained control, allowing the living standards and life expectancy to sky-rocket as a result of trade and a truce between the rebel groups that was achieved in the late 60s.

Unfortunately however, that sense of peace was broken amidst the invasions from nearly all directions by Orthodoxy to the north and Mandicoria in the east, the attack which led to an immediate withdraw from some border regions by PDF has been considered brutal, and has many Human Rights' Organization back home worried. Video footage of Orthodoxy aircraft attacking a refinery, and hitting civilian convoys have flooded media sites like YouTube, some receiving over 3 million in views. The MoD however, has remained quiet on the issue.

Soldiers who have been on the front lines with their invaders were said to have experienced heavy fighting most particularly in the Gonzales Prefecture near the Transalpine Mountains. PDF that weren't fortunate to evacuate and withdraw in time have ''dug in'' the MoD says, as they wait for a chance to further withdraw from the twisting valleys in and out of the mountains. The MoD further commented that, ''despite the deteriorating situation at current in the Trielese territories, PDF have been able to slow the advance allowing further evacuations to proceed on schedule.''

As of now, it is uncertain the death toll of both troops and civilians who have been caught in the middle of the Orthodoxy invasion, but Central 6 stated that they are ''worried'' over the situation, and over the chance of losing the Gonzales Prefecture to enemy forces. The MoD however has been a bit more optimistic over the situation assuring those back home that the FCC ''Is currently ready for deployment, to both relieve the PDF and engage enemy forces in Sondria'' Colonel Morgan from the 3rd Marine Corps told PNN in a quick interview that he, ''Hopes the PDF can hold out just a little longer''.

A few days following the invasion, after the news circulated around the Commonwealth, Central 6 recalled of it's fleets to be then sent to Sondria. The force which is being called the ''Rapid Deployment Fleet'' is expected to finish preparations ahead of schedule and arrive in Sondria in the next few weeks. The result, the MoD said, will allow over 200,000 Carpathian forces to begin a series of invasions to push back Orthodoxy and assure an equal footing for another deployment. Central 6 stated that the force will be the largest and quickest deployment of Carpathian forces in history to be sent into combat. ''Recruitment into the armed forces has already skyrocketed from a mere 5% to already 32% the MoD released in a report to PNN, stating that they were also ''Pleased, with the outcome to protect Carpathian interest abroad''.

Worry looms over Argent Stock Exchange; Rodarian Crisis

Adrianople, FCP- Stock holders and investors in the Royal Trading Company's Argent Stock Exchange have become ''shaken'' by recent events in Pardes, having now watched for the fourth day in a row a drop in the market over Pravene Oil - The nation's top oil producer for the FCP. Over the past few weeks PAX has watched numerous Pravene Oil share-holders begin to worry over their shares as the situation in Pardes has begun to ''escalate'' amid tensions with Rodarion and other Pardesian nations. The result Chief Economist, Fredrick Allen says, is a 'powder keg for a sudden and dangerous trend'.

''The first thing these share-holders will do is 'panic sell', dump their shares quickly and it'll start of a chain reaction that could have damaging affects on the market and especially on the oil industry.'' Allen said noting the 'Pulsa Incident' in 2013, and what that caused for PAX. In 2013, anger quickly arose over laws and criminal cases that were filed against Rodarian citizens which sparked a public outcry against the Rodarian government in the FCP. Days later, amid public pressure the Parliament ordered for a ''desiste tempore'' order that would temporarily bar Rodarion from receiving Pravene oil in hopes of influencing and swaying the Rodarian government to drop charges on several of it's citizens - charges that both the public and Parliament viewed as ''inhumane''.

As a result, the Royal Navy reported that it tried to stop a Rodarian tanker from leaving port with oil it had received and torpedoed the ship killing several aboard and dumping hundreds of thousands of petroleum into the sea. Rodarian then seized Pravene assets, and Pardes quickly followed with a trade embargo. ''Within a day the oil market dropped abysmally, within the first week the oil market began to crash and finally, four weeks later, Pravengria offered concessions to repair the relationship between the two countries'' Allen said stating that almost 58% of Pravene oil goes to Rodarion.

The Ministry of Defense has also taken notice of the worries, since the Pulsa Incident, oil has started flowing again to the Papal Republic, while pharmaceuticals from Rodation continue to flow back to the FCP. This has created enough worry to grab the MoD's attention on protecting shipping, ''Pravengria doesn't want to get involved with the Rodarian Crisis, but it's becoming a big concern among the MoD over civilian shipping to Pardes, they're vulnerable and it seems almost inevitable.'' Deputy Minister Alexei Romero said in a PNN interview.

''Pravengria's Foreign Policy has shifted to respect regional territory, we can't just move warships in to act as escorts for our tankers without it being considered an act of aggression, but on the other side, our tankers are vulnerable to attack if opposing powers of Rodarion decide to target the Papal Republic's Oil supply, which would mean attacking or blockading our tankers.'' Romero said. Despite the worries, the Foreign Ministry is said to be working on a plea to send to the members of the OPA, a multi-national organisation in Pardes; that Pravene shipping will not become a target of the current situation. ''It's about all we can do right now'' Romero added, Chief Economist Allen also added that ''If our shipping is targeted, and share holders panic and start rapidly selling it will crash the market, not just on oil and the potential to create a domino effect in several regions such as Sondria is a very real threat to our and others' economic stability.''

Hypocrisy reason for recent Stock Worries

Adrianople, FCP- New heat has been added to the fire for the Rodarian Crisis in Western Pardes, with the share holders in one of the largest companies in the FCP began to worry over what the situation in Pardes would spell for them. Italia launched another move deploying their ''5th Blue Fleet'' to blockade Pravene tankers from crossing through the Orlessian channels, a move that the MoD and MoE is calling 'extremely hypocritical' of the Italian government.

Since the Pulsa Incident last year where Pravene warships attacked and sunk two Rodarian tankers when they tried to leave port, the relationship between the Papal Republic and the FCP had been rocky til a deal was made for concessions. Despite this, a resolution to embargo Pravene products in the markets of Pardes was never repealed, the nation that submitted the proposal back in 2013, was that of Italia.

Til now, the resolution hadn't been enforced when after the FCP and the PRR began to repair their relationship, oil supplies and Pravene products began to flow into the region again. Fredrick Allen, a Chief Economist, said that the move by Italia now to enforce resolution 002 is ''extremely hypocritical'' stating that, ''During the Pulsa Incident, Italia defended Rodarion against further Pravene aggression by submitting the Embargo resolution to the OPA, now that tensions have sparked between the PRR and Italia, the Italian government is manipulating the OPA to strike Rodarion down economically, a nation, it created the proposal for originally, the hypocrisy is mind blowing''

With the now increasing tension having drawn in the eyes of Saxonople, Argent Stocks closed with a 178 point drop over Pravene Oil and 237 over Garrison's Pharmaceuticals. Though considered a modest drop, critics are worried that the situation could spiral out of control. It is unsure what the next move is for the FCP, but the MoD stated on their website they would ''not deploy naval escorts'' to protect commercial shipping in Pardes because it would ''violate the Regional Sovereignty clause and be considered an act of aggression''. A statement that many in Saxonople are calling fowl in response to what many believe to be ''deliberate Italian aggression''.

Interviews on the streets in the financial capital of the FCP, Adrianople displayed the anger some of these critics have, Martina Viezzo, who's a school teacher in Adrianople told PNN that, ''The MoD won't respond to the Italians deploying a fleet because they're afraid of hurting someone's feelings, who will be blamed if the Italians decide to board or attack Pravene ships? The MoD will have blood on their hands, it's [citation] ridiculous!''

Despite growing public concern in the country and a slight drop in the market, some are also hopeful that PAX won't take a big hit over Pravene Oil, believing that the situation will have a compromise relatively soon. Though as Day 1 closes, hope is all shareholders can garner for, in New Belhavia Market Watchers witnessed small drops in their exchange as well as worry has begun to spread from market to market of the recent tensions and the new spout of rhetoric, a situation that the MoE never wanted the FCP to be involved in. RNEX however has taken a massive hit and no doubt has caused some panic within the PRR, panic that many back home hope doesn't spread to PAX or sister markets. The MoE has yet to submit any orders to halt tankers from transporting cargo bound for Pardes.

Parliament convenes over the Rodarian Crisis

NEW: Stocks continue to drop amid
Pardes tensions

Foreign Minister Jon Surrel slammed
by Emmerian OPA delegation

Critic says Economy will collapse
if Oil Crisis isn't solved by 2015

Parliament ushers in new Education Bill
to reform the Education system by 2015
Saxonople.FD, FCP (PNN) — Tensions are still running high in Pardes after Foreign Minister Jon Surrel was 'slammed' by the Emmerian delegation in the OPA after he submitted a missive to lift Reoslution 002; a resolution that banned Pravene products in the region last year in response to the Pulsa Incident. Surrel who's made no comment on the reply the FCP received back from the Emmerian delegation, submitted a diplomatic missive to the Regional Organisation by order of the Crown to try and diplomatically resolve the situation that has dragged the FCP into the cross-fire between Itailia and the Papal Republic of Rodarion.

The missive which was made public by the Emmerian delegation has circulated the internet being picked up by CyberLeaks, an investigative newsgroup who then contacted the PNN over the documents. The missives and reply by the Emmerian delegation which can be seen here: cyberlinks.fcp.com/article/ref=18746 showed both the worry the government here in Saxonople is having and the tension that's building.

The Emmerian delegation thrashed Surrel's missive stating that ''The FCP has no jurisdiction to determine if legislation passed by the OPA is 'legal' or 'justified' [sic]'' a reponse to Surrel's missive 'trying to state that the FCP had changed it's views over the legislation and the OPA' [Statement by Deputy Minister Relene of FOMA], an organisation that during the Pulsa Incident was neglecting to recognize as an 'International Entity' - though it appears those views have changed the Emmerians didn't let up and tore apart the missive, one that will most likely create some sour feelings in Surrel's Ministry over the embarrassment.

Despite the attempt to ask for an appeal in the legislation, the Emmerian delegation did state it would consider whether or not to repeal or keep the resolution around, some concerns that the delegation tried to wave away was that the FCP views the now sudden enforcement of 002 as a manipulation of international law on Itailia's behalf - and in that Surrel followed that the FCP ''recognizes Regional Sovereignty'' a statement that the delegation pointed out was misguided in FCP foreign policy since despite the now recent enforcement of the legislation it was illegal for the FCP to continue trade with the PRR beforehand.

Other issues have also sparked up over the tension that has gathered in the region between the PRR and Itailia as stocks continued to drop, with a sudden 318 point drop the lowest they've done so in three years. ''People are starting to sell because they're unsure of what the government[FCP] or OPA is going to do over the situation'' Chief Economist Fredrick Allen said to PNN, and Allen's right, it doesn't seem as if the MoE, FOMA, or the rest of Parliament know what to do at this time. As Allen pointed out in a personal interview with PNN, ''Our hands are tied here, we can't protect shipping, we've got an aggressively acting nation, and a nation that needs our Oil as bad as we need their return'' Allen said he was 'worried' over the situation, though he didn't feel this was something that'd really lead to an immediate economic collapse of some critics are fearing. ''The point here is, it'll have a few long term affects but as long as people don't panic, our economy isn't going to collapse, our stocks are still going strong in other industries.'' he said.

However despite Allen's advice, some share-holders have already started to sell which has resulted in the drop, however the woes of the market isn't just affecting Argent, a report by the Belhavian news media laid out the slowing down of the market in other countries and some that are climbing of others in the crisis.

With things hanging in the balance at the moment, Parliament was ordered to convene today with the Crown and the Judicial Administration over the recent crisis, and although rumours, some believe the topic of discussion will fall on Foreign Policy. The Judicial Administration stated that Parliament would convene for three days on several issues regarding the situation, but til then, the news of what was being discussed would ''remain behind closed doors''.
