Soviet TeleCommunications Incorporated is a electronic content and service provider based in the Commonwealth of Soviet Party. STCI is one of the leading providers of internet and Satellite TV for all of Soviet Party and to nearby areas of the Union of Aligned Soviet States. STCI is different from her state run counter part in the fact that it she runs many more different kinds of content. Also, the State run agency only broadcasts within the boundaries of Soviet Party while her STCI broadcasts all over the globe.

STCI not only deals in TV and radio programs, but in phone, internet, and satellite communication methods. STCI holds a multitude of regional and global patents on their unique methodology to transmit data globally. STCI played a pivotal part in the Commonwealth's initiative to get gigabit data "pipes" to lower income sections of the Commonwealth. These pipes would allow for higher download/upload speeds on the consumer end. Also, STCI Labs developed a new methodology for encrypting data from point to point. While this encryption method has yet to be widely adopted, it has withstood many attacks of varying nature.

STCI Labs have also aided in laying the groundwork for future expansion of their data lines. For example, the current statues state that "all conduits must permit for double the amount of wire" to be fit in the same conduit. STCI conduits are designed and allow for up to 4 times the amount of wire in the same conduit. The Labs have also developed new types of data lines which permit faster data transmission and access. Also, STCI Labs worked on Counter-Nodes. Counter-Nodes help reroute traffic if a section or node goes down.

STCI is one of four content providers that have SPTier V authorization. Soviet Party Tier V permits the holder to transmit their feeds directly to the consumer instead of having to be directly monitored by a censor. SPTier V indicates a high level of trust between the government and the provider. This authorization can be revoked at any time for any reason.

History
In 1874, with the telegraph coming to Soviet Party, one company decided to spear head the development of the telegraph lines. Franklyn Dix began to buy equipment to improve the telegraph system in his area. In 1877, he found Soviet TeleGraph.

In 1901, Dix bought out a small micro-regional telephone company. He then merged the companies into Soviet Phone and Telegraph.

Dix passed the company to the Board of Trustees in 1905 and died shortly thereafter.

In March 1952, Soviet Phone and Telegraph made the first attempt at a computer and by May 1954, they had SAMSON (Special Algorithm for Math and Science for Operations and Networking)

After several years, they developed a modified microchip.

In 2001, Soviet Phone and Telegraph bought NorthStar Technologies and all their assets. SPT renamed itself to its modern-day version, Soviet TeleCommunications Incorporated.

The Commonwealth of Soviet Party vs Soviet TeleCommunications

Date originally filed: March 1994
Date when heard by The High Court: December 1995

Case Brief:
Plaintiff, Commonwealth, alleged that defendant, STCI, was making false promises in their ads. Commonwealth National Attorney presented TV ads and print ads to the court. Plaintiff presented that the speeds advertised and the actual consumer speeds were significantly different. Defendant presented that the speeds that were being used in their ads were actually median speeds nation wide and were not represented as guaranteed speeds for consumers. Defendant also pointed out that many of the ads Plaintiff was using were at least 4 years old. Plaintiff also alleged that defendant would "cut off" consumers without causation. Defendant countered by showing the court that those who had been "cut off" were cut off because of delinquency in paying their bills.

Previous Decisions:
District IV Court: Defendant held for $12 Million WORPs in damages, must resume service to cut off customers.
Region I Court of Appeals: Defendant not liable and no damage occurred. Lower court ruling null and void.

Precedents:
None

High Court decision:
8 Yea --- 1 Nay

We believe that STCI was doing right in all instances of wrong that were alleged by the prosecutor. Also, due to the fact that the plaintiff used out of date ads and did not fully analyze the same proved that this case was merely an attempt to scare the company into compliance.
It is the opinion of the minority that the defendant in this case, STCI, was in the wrong. They alleged that the state used out of date ads. However, the minority was unable to thoroughly prove this to the satisfaction of the Minority. Also, the state mentioned about price gouging by STCI and no reply was given.

Final Verdict
High Court affirms Region I Court of Appeals ruling. No penalty assigned to plaintiff or defendant.

Great news! The Commission for Communications has approved our request for expansion earlier than expected!

Also, we just got the results for the National Business Survey and we were ranked #1 in the nation for telecommunications and #3 in customer support overall!

Thanks to all the employees that make this possible!
