Brief history
Lolomz Airlines was founded in 1967 by the Government of Lolomz to act as the national flag carrier and kickstart the domestic tourism market which had been stagnating for years. Originally an unsuccessful venture, Lolomz Airlines established a number of routes to many high-profile destinations around the world which re-ignited the government's enthusiasm for the company's success. By 1970 it had become one of the largest airlines in the region with a flourishing route portfolio and rapidly growing prestige among the aviation industry as a trusted and efficient brand. However, despite finally becoming a successful business, the economic crisis of 1972 hit the company hard and led to a record loss in profits. Facing nationwide economic collapse, the government was forced to privatise the airline to save paying massive debts the company was racking up.
The first action taken by the newly-privatised Lolomz Airlines was the closing of most of its routes save for the most profitable and most used. This included the closure of most of its major international routes that were, ultimately, running at a loss. With the debts paid off the airline sought to start again and rebuild its lost reputation. However, despite constant attempts to rebuild routes to its former destinations, the instability of the airline meant it could not achieve a phoenix-like rebirth on the international stage, focusing on expanding its domestic coverage.
Consigned to be a failed project for the country, the government was keen to save the airline from liquidation. Having since recovered from the economic crisis and once again making a national surplus, the government had money to spare and once again sought to take control of the company. With the full approval of the company board, the government of Lolomz acquired all shares in the airline, formally making Lolomz Airlines a state-owned company once again. With the profits of the entire Lolomzian economy flowing into the company budget, it finally had the money it needed to launch its brand into the international market with a complete overhaul of its fleet and the introduction of state-of-the-art navigation and passenger booking systems that had since become mainstream internationally.
Wanting to once again make the company an active international airline, operating routes to the most profitable and most visited tourist destinations in the world, the Lolomzian government decided that the re-privatisation of the company and de-regulation of the national aviation industry would make it more attractive to the global market and give it the freedom to expand more rapidly. In late 2013, it offered up Lolomz Airlines stock on the international market and, after a long period of disinterest, a deal with the Kingtonian flag carrier saw Lolomz Airlines become a member of the Royal Kingtonian Airways group of companies.
Following its acquisition, Lolomz Airlines has been re-branded and re-launched onto the international aviation market. With the investment and support of Royal Kingtonian Airways, Lolomz Airlines was more prepared than ever to establish routes to the various airports of the world. However, following the acquisition of the RKA Group by ViZionair, Lolomz Airlines feared for its continued operational independence and opted to perform a risky management buyout. As an independent company once again, Lolomz Airline remains optimistic for the future.

While maintaining a number of communication/regional offices located at strategic destinations around the world, our global headquarters are located in our national capital of Kasa. The current CEO of Lolomz Airlines is Lisa Hurley who has been a loyal employee of our company since privatisation.
We are based in Kasa International Airport with secondary hub operations at Yill International Airport and Aula Airport, all of which are located in Lolomz.
