Bambu Restaurant was originally a small family restaurant build in the seashore of Mencar District, Senadwipa. It was Putu Kerthiyasa who proposed the establishment in 1990. With his wife, he worked up the small restaurant or natively known as "warung" into a bustling and elegant restaurant in the beach area of Mencar. The restaurant then employed a number of waiters and waitresses including 2 more chefs (besides Putu's wife) to be able to serve the overflowing guest.
After 5 years managing the restaurant, Putu started to fall ill. His wife also resign from the restaurant to take care of his beloved husband. The management of the restaurant then was taken over by his oldest son, Gede Suryanatha. Under the new management, Bambu Restaurant established their first branch in Banyumertha District, Senadwipa, near the passenger terminal of Port Mertasari. For the next decade, Gede established a number of branches all over Genitri Province. A little setback coming in the late 2000, when Putu Kerthiyasa, the founder of Bambu Restaurant died of heart attack. The restaurant employees were all fall into deep grieve.
An expansion outside Genitri was begins in mid 2007 with first restaurant established in Labuan District, Labuanjaya, Priyaka Province. Continued with a branch in Bhuana Kerthi District, Bhuanaraya, Arumdhani Province. The expansion continued to Tawan Karang Province in 2009 before it was hold off for another expansion due to recession that the nation faced from 2010 onwards.
Kadek Adhi Paramartha then taken over the management of Bambu Restaurant from his father, Gede Suryanatha, in 2012. The economy was still not good but he continued the planned of establishing restaurant branches in Rarungan colonies. The branches was build in mid 2013 in 2 places, Watupura (Batupadik) and Karangpura (Karangnusa). After a series of internal talks, Kadek then decided to expand the restaurant abroad. A massive and ambitious planned that he wants to commence in the beginning of 2014. For management purpose, Kadek rented a mid-size office space in Mencar District, Senadwipa to begins his ambitious plan. Although trying to expand abroad, but he still want to stick with original recipes that was inherit from his grandmother. Something that produce the tagline for the restaurant itself,"A Taste of Original Cuisine".
