Government Summary: L3 is controlled by a Chief Executive Officer, like moot corporations, and a Board of Directors. The Board holds the primary stocks of the corporation, at a fixed 51%; this ensures that no one but the Board and CEO will own the company. Each member of the Board has his own share, depending on his position, with the Chairman claiming 30% ownership as the highest single shareholder in the company.

This is to ensure that no one, unless decided unanimously by the Board, can takeover the corporation. Although this is seen as 'illegal' or 'unethical' in most countries, L3 considers it to be a necessary step to ensure it's own survival. L3 Communications maintains it's own private military, composed of highly-trained, well-equipped mercenaries armed with some of the most advanced weapons in the world. This allows L3 to enforce it's policies and defend it's interests around the globe, 24/7.

National Summary:

The Confederacy of L3 Communications is a tiny, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its restrictive gun laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 12 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The tiny, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business government concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Commerce are on the agenda. Income tax is unheard of. A large private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Cheese Exports.

Euthanasia is illegal, the police force is on a recruitment drive, organ donation is compulsory, and a well-funded social safety net protects the unfortunate. Crime is a problem. L3 Communications's national animal is the foxgirl, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the credit.

Total Armed Forces Size: 2.600.000

Branches: L3 maintains no actual military branches, all military forces fall under three different Private Military Contractors, two of which are owned by L3 and one of which is in the process of being integrated into the conglomerate. All three PMCs work together to form a coherent force, complete with naval, air and ground firepower; each a separate company. In this effect, PMCs are the 'branches' of L3's military

Private Military Corporations:

Military Professional Resources Inc. - MPRI, acquired ArmorGroup, DynCorp, Xe and Olive Group between late 2010-early 2017. They operate the majority of L3's tanks and infantry forces; as well as a limited number of attack aircraft such as the A-10A Thunderbolt II and the AH-64D Apache Longbow. They also serve as naval infantry and currently field the largest amount of contractors out of any of L3's subsidiary PMCs.

NorthBridge Corporation - Formerly NorthBridge Services Group, acquired by L3 in 2010. Heavily expanded and partially owned by MPRI. Recently acquired AirScan Inc., Executive Solutions International and EOD Technology Inc. They also serve as L3's air force. Operates 70% of L3's fighter and transport aircraft. Aegis provides CAS and CAP missions, and usually serves as the delivery service for Clawhammer forces. They operate a small ground force as well, equivalent to the USAFSF's and EST's, as well as an even small 'special forces', who act as both EOD and pararescue.

Aegis Worldwide - Aegis Defence Services Ltd., acquired by L3 in 2013 and expanded to include naval operations and anti-piracy units. Aegis recently acquired Global Security Services and expanded it's jurisdiction to include the safeguarding all of L3's Northeastern ports and cargo ships. Aegis operates L3's small naval task force, which is the equivalent of two CVSGs or two ESGs. They also operate 25% of L3's airpower, serving as the naval air units on L3's aircraft carriers. Aegis works with Clawhammer to deliver forces via their AAS (Amphibious Assault Ships), fulfilling the amphibious naval infantry role.

Corporation Timeline:

1997 - L3 Communications is founded. Specializing in military-grade communications hardware, intelligence-gathering equipment, radio and RADAR jammers and aircraft avionics and simulators. They quickly build up a large amount of reputation with the US DoD as one of their primary contractors, making a large number of electronics, laser rangefinders and other high-grade equipment.

2002 - Global Armaments is founded and quickly establish themselves as experts in military vehicles and aircraft, signing several contracts with the United States DoD and European Union after a mere four years of existence. They are quickly renamed Global Armaments America, after the opening of their European and Asian branch offices.

2008 - United States suffers a massive recession. Over $20 trillion USD is spent trying to bailout corporations. In this time, L3 begins buying out failing corporations and increasing it's powerbase, along with several smaller companies: Aerodyne Industries, Global Armaments and Datadyne.

2014 - The US is severely weakened by debt and begins selling off surplus military equipment. The four primary conglomerates (Aerodyne, Datadyne, GA and L3) buy several large shipments of military surplus, including main battle tanks, equipping their private contractors with them.

2015 - The "National Disarmament War" is started when the US tries to take over the increasingly powerful corporations, however their small military, although extremely well trained thanks to European and Chinese intervention, is crushed by the conglomerates. Massive swathes of territory are claimed by the corporations and the United States ceases to exist as a country.

2016 - Our current Chairwoman, Alice Meyers, is elected into her position. She quickly solidifies the corporation's power and begins massive reforms which shape the company into existing solely for her. Several smaller private contractors are bought by L3, while the rest are quickly bought by the other corporations to make up for their diminishing power.

2018 - Relations between Aerodyne Industries, L3 and Datadyne begin to sour as L3 starts taking contracts from GA America. GA America and L3 quickly form a coalition of interests, while Datadyne and Aerodyne create a similar partnership. This creates two "super-conglomerates", however each corporation still retains complete sovereignty, more of a total alliance than a merger.

2022 - Current year. L3 holds the US Northeast, Aerodyne and Datadyne have what remains of the US Pacific Northwest, Northern California and some parts east of that area. Global Armaments America is by far the largest corporation on the continent, claiming hold over the US Southwest, parts of Western Texas and is current waging a war against Mexico for the few remaining oil deposits underneath the Gulf of Mexico.
