Denecaep begins to release results of World Census 2010

Postby Denecaep » Sat Apr 03, 2010 3:57 pm

This is all international information.
Most nations already now know of the World Census 2010, and have probably taken part in it. (If you haven't, see the sig.)
Denecaep is now going to begin the slow, hard, process of tallying up information and creating graphs to display results.
Denecaep will be gradually outputting the information, and we invite any representatives to come to the Census meeting hall (this thread) and discuss the information as well. If you need a graph explained, just ask.

Thank you to all the nations that took or will take part in the world census. You can still take it now, it will add to our pool of votes for later statistics. We will also occasionally update graphs as the times change.
I doubt anyone would want to help Denecaep with this long job, but we will take volunteers if you want to tally up the information for a specific question. Please ask before doing so.

Information so far (check every once in a while for updates):

I'd quite like to know the frequency of Wars.

(Well at least show me my data in graphs)

OOC: I believe this is FNI, but I can see why you posted in II. Your census is win, keep on going, and apply for sticky statvs.

Over one hundred nations took part in this, I can't do them all. After I am less busy with this I might make some private graphs for you.

I dunno. If other people agree, I'll post a request in Moderation or something.

Okay, but if this is stickied, then the mods need to change its name to something more general.

I don't think it'll be stickied, not that I think it's a topic unworthy of being stickied, it just seems more likely it'll get linked on the II Help Desk

Regardless, it is great, as a summary of one's national information! It pretty much replaces a factbook, for those who niether need, nor want detailed information.

I think it'd be cool to see the average strengths of the Civil Rights, Econ, and Freedoms of different NS categories compared.

I will probably start those graphs next. They will be a bit tricky since there are many options. I hope nations realize that because these are not direct polls, they have to be counted and tallied individually.

I do not envy you

Incidently, I was wondering if you planned on any additions to the Census for the future? I think Infant Mortality and GDP/Capita are important aspects to examine.
